Chapter 1 Once Upon a Time...I wish!

Do you know the stories of Werewolves?

Being that shift every full moon into mindless beasts with only the urge to hunt?

Well what would you say if I told you that we exist, that the full moon is a myth created to protect our kind and that I am the Queen of all wolves.

I am Crystalline Thorn, the supposed unwanted daughter to Alpha King Alexander.

The daughter that was abused and rejected when the truth of me being a runt came out.

The she-wolf that survived a war and learn the truth of my heritage thanks to Amberle and Geminie.

But I am getting ahead of myself. I should start from the beginning of my tale for you all to learn...

Message From the Author:

Hello Everyone,

This novel is still in its first draft and there are plans to rewrite and edit this novel for a better exprience to you, the reader. As such I will be changing the chapters 1 by 1 while editing the novel so thank you in advance for your patience and I hope you enjoy this story.

Rejection to the Alpha King's Daughter is book 3 to the "Rejection Series" and is the final book following Crystalline's journey of rejection, heartbreak, uncovering her destiny and winning a brewing war. It can be read as a stand alone so I highly recommend reading it by itself or search for Rejection on the Full Moon (Book One) and Rejecting the Future Moon Goddess (Book 2) to obtain the full scope from start to finish.

Chapter 2 A Destiny set in motion

A distant time in past...

The King smiles as he looks down at his twin pups, Crystalline and Selene, his mate Queen Luna and his Prince looking on from a distance as Coro tries to gain the attention of his exhausted mother.

"Who came first?" King Spirit asks, turning to look at the Midwife, a witch named Cassandra.

"Selene did sire. Crystalline came next and the power in her blood nearly suffocated me. It is stronger than the Prince." The witch answers, looking at the twins with a smile.

"Well then Selene when the time comes will take my place as the Moon Goddess." Luna croaks weakly, a happy smile on her pale face.

"What about Crystalline?" Coro asks, looking to his newborn twin sisters with distain. He will have no choice but to keep Selene safe as the divinity in her blood scare the young Prince, but Crystalline may be a threat to his rule on the throne.

"Well Coro, Crystalline and you will both train as leaders. One will become my heir and the other will become a Beta to their sibling or an Alpha of their own pack. Only time will tell." King Spirit answers absentmindedly, not noticing the malicious look that the Prince sends to his sister. Witch Cassandra notices this, noticing the smart Prince with connections across the supernatural realm scheming behind his innocent looking face. Fearful for the twin daughters of her King and Queen, the Witch steps forward and reaches into her pouch, pulling out two silver necklaces with moon stone charms attached.

"My King. With the help of some elves I was able to create protection charms for the Princess'. The moonstone that looks like the moon will be for Crystalline as a reminder that her sister watches over her as the next Goddess. The Moonstone shaped like a snowflake will remind Selene of her sister down on earth where the Royal Pack sits, and winter comes early." She says quietly, seeing the concern on her King's face.

"But the chains are silver. Silver harms us." He states with worry, the urge to throw those necklaces away instantly. Cassandra smile as she gently places the necklaces around the twins, their eyes open and staring at the woman who has now handed them a gift.

"As I said, their blood is strong. Both twins are immune to silver and their Destiny will be great." With that, Cassandra bids her farewell, worry still gnawing at her for Crystalline. She has a feeling her destiny will be altered soon.

A week passes with Cassandra praying to the Goddess of Destiny Morai to protect the twins as the feeling of something horrible happening grows. She spends her days either in her tower or with the Queen and the twins, always chanting a spell of protection on the two pups in hopes to keep them safe from Prince Coro. Word of his cruelty to the twins have spread, from leaving them in the cold when no one is looking, to ignoring their cries when the maid and their parents are busy. On a dark snowy night as Cassandra continues her prayer to Goddess Morai, the feeling of something bad about to come grows, making it hard for the witch to concentrate on her prayers until a guard rushes to her tower, fear and anger on his face as he climbs the stairs in a rush, bursting through the door and allowing a cold rush of air to extinguish all the candles except the one that is used to pray to the Goddess of destiny.

"Princess Crystalline is missing. We need your help."

Chapter 3 Princess of the Outcast

Modern Day...

"Crystalline you need to be faster." My father growls and I could feel his frustration radiating off of the man as he clocks in my time. For the past three hours I had been running, my time getting slower.

"Daddy I'm trying but it's been three hours with no breaks. You have to understand I need to rest for a moment." I try to reason with the mountain of a man but all he did was growl at me. I was his only child and since there were no sons for him to claim his throne I was forced to train daily.

"Don't back talk me it is unbefitting of a Princess." His hand slaps across my face and I am sent flying to the ground. This was normal. At twelve years old I had learned that my father, King of werewolves, detested me. I was the reason his mate, my mother, was dead. Well that's what he tells me. But the truth was he was the reason. If he had paid attention to her and not that whore he would have stopped that rogue in time before my mother's throat was ripped out.

With a sigh I stand and wait for him to back away to calm down. It was always like this and the next thing would be his silence before we were done training.

"You are a princess yes, but you're princess of the outcasts in this pack. I can't believe you're my daughter, a weakling." This was new. His words stung a bit but I held my tongue. He was my Alpha first and father second.

"You're useless." With that he storms out and I am left to myself as I take a moment to breathe before turning on my heels and heading towards the forest.

The moon was already out in the sky and I wished I was up there with my mother, dancing with the Goddess's court. I wish I could be whisked away from here.

Happily, I sink down onto the soft forest floor and lay on my back, my sore body relaxing into the cold earth. I had a few hours before a guard came out looking for me. No one liked me in the pack but I was their future Queen and the only one that would continue the royal blood line.

They needed me more then they thought they did.

"Hey Crysta." A smile creeps along my lips as I turn my head to look at a guard in training and my friend.

"Hey Trix, what you up to?" I ask as the fifteen year old takes a seat beside me.

"Nothing. I saw you come over here and thought you'd like some company." I loved my best friend; he always knew what I needed. From there we just sat in the quiet forest, me watching the stars twinkle in the sky as he whittled away at a piece of wood.

That's when I saw it. A shooting star. It's bright light twinkled and the tail sparkled like fairy dust. I knew my wish immediately.

I wish my life would change.

Then the unbearable pain shot through my body, every muscle tensing as tears flowed down my cheeks.

"Crysta!?" Trix's hands cradle my face and I let a whimper out. I felt like I was dying. His worry soon softened with a little relief as he smile happily at me.

"Crysta you're shifting. Just let it happen and picture yourself as a wolf." He says slowly and I answer with a slight whimper.

It was hard to imagine myself as a wolf. No one knew what my wolf would look like since it was my first shift and with so many wolves to choose from even I had a hard time knowing what I would look like.

But I could picture my body forming into the wolf shape, my paws kicking up the earth and the howl that I would produce. The pain slowly ebbed away as I felt bones shift and rearrange, my face elongating to a snout and my hair replaced by fur.

I don't know how long the shift has lasted but I knew something was different as I could smell the air more clearly, the sounds were heightened.

"Wow Crysta." Trix's voice was in awe and I couldn't help but turn my head, tilting it questioningly.

"Crysta you're a white wolf. A White Runt!" He exclaims. Fuck. I couldn't believe it. I was a runt. My dad will kill me if he finds out.
