Chapter 1 Betrayal

Luna Hayes accidentally saved Liam Moretti, the heir to Ravenwood's largest mafia family.

People whispered his name with fear. They said he was merciless, ruthless, a devil in business... and even worse in bed.

Yet this very man would kneel to help Luna put on her heels, afraid to hurt her. In bed, he was always gentle with her-so much so that he kept a sex slave just to satisfy his darker desires.

But everything changed the moment Liam decided to let that slave carry his child.

...

Luna Hayes was once the luckiest woman in Ravenwood. After all, she'd saved the heir of the city's most powerful mafia empire-Liam Moretti.

After taking over the family business, Liam spoiled her endlessly.

He married her with a lavish ceremony. When he learned she loved roses, he spent millions creating a private rose garden estate just for her.

As the most feared man in the criminal underworld, Liam had a notorious reputation. Women who slept with him often couldn't walk for days.

But with Luna, he was different-gentle, careful. He once told her he couldn't bear to see her hurt, so instead, he kept a sex slave locked in the basement to release his lust.

Even when it came to having a baby, Liam had a plan-he would use the slave as a surrogate.

Holding Luna in his arms, he comforted her. "Baby, Elena is just a tool for childbirth. As soon as the baby is born, she'll disappear from our world."

Luna looked deeply into his eyes, saw the sincerity there, and agreed.

Until Liam began spending every day with Elena Rossi. The house was filled with her moans and screams. He ignored Luna completely, even on their third wedding anniversary.

That night, Luna waited until midnight... and then heard noises from the basement.

Liam was immaculate in his tailored suit, a picture of control-while beneath him, Elena lay naked, her skin flushed as she endured his almost feral thrusts.

"Tell me! Why did you run?" he growled, yanking at the collar around Elena's neck-one engraved with his own name in gold.

Luna, watching in secret, bit her lip hard. She remembered the time he got drunk. She had stayed beside him to help him sleep, but he mistook her for Elena, wrapping his arms around her. "Elena," he whispered, "I'll keep you in the basement forever. Don't even think about escaping. You'll always be my dog, got it?"

Tears streamed down Luna's face. She held her breath, trying not to make a sound.

She understood now-he had fallen in love with Elena.

"Elena, give me a baby. I want you to be completely mine," he whispered passionately as he covered her back with desperate kisses.

Drooling from the torment, Elena looked back and asked, "What about your wife?"

He laughed and kept moving. "I only married her because she saved my life. It's been three years. I'm long past bored."

At those words, Luna's vision blurred. She ran, sobbing into her hands.

She thought of all the sweet memories they once shared, the envy in people's eyes when they spoke of her perfect marriage. Now, it all felt like a joke.

Three years ago, Liam had been ambushed by enemies and ended up at her doorstep. She took him in without hesitation, not knowing he'd been drugged. That night, ignoring her resistance, he ripped off her clothes. It was her first time. She had begged him to be gentle.

"You saved me," he rasped in her ear, "I'll give you everything. I'll make you the happiest woman in Ravenwood."

Now, standing in front of the fireplace, Luna slowly removed her ring and tossed it into the flames, without a trace of hesitation.

She wiped away her tears, stepped closer to the fire, and stared at the burning ring.

Now, she finally saw things for what they were. And she had finally decided to end it all.

No one knew she had contacted an agency that helped people fake their own deaths.

"Ms. Hayes, we've received your request. Your new identity is under construction and should be ready in three days."

Luna tightened her grip on the phone.

Three more days. After that, she would never know Liam Moretti again.

Chapter 2 Kidnapping

Luna curled up on the couch, sitting in silence the entire night.

By morning, she had finally pulled herself together.

She stood up and began packing everything she owned into suitcases, determined to leave this place behind.

But just as she stepped out of the bedroom, she ran straight into Liam.

He was coming up the stairs, carrying a fainted Elena in his arms. The moment he saw Luna, he froze mid-step, eyes darkening with alarm. "Honey, what are you doing?"

Luna lifted her eyes coldly. Her gaze swept past the love bites on his neck and landed on the fragile woman in his arms. A bitter smile twisted in her heart.

"I'm going on a trip. A change of scenery might cheer me up," she said calmly, choosing not to tell him the truth.

Liam opened his mouth to question her further, but Elena coughed weakly in his arms.

Panic instantly clouded his expression-an emotion Luna had never seen on him before. He mumbled a quick "Okay," then hurried off with Elena without another glance back.

Dragging her suitcase, Luna whispered to herself to stay strong. Only then could she stop the tears from falling.

She checked into a hotel and got to work on three things.

First, she sold the estate Liam had given her and had the funds transferred to her own account.

Second, she had the tattoo of his name removed from her body.

And third, she went to the sea and threw in the family heirloom bracelet Liam had once gifted her.

There was a time when Liam Moretti-the man both feared and worshipped in the underworld-had knelt on one knee to put high heels on her feet. When he had kissed her forehead so tenderly, placing that sacred family bracelet into her hands as if offering her his entire world.

But now, he would never do that again. Because he didn't love her anymore.

The waves devoured the bracelet instantly, sending out ripples that quickly faded.

Luna turned away without looking back. As the sea breeze tugged at her dress, she lowered her head to smooth it, only to be suddenly grabbed from behind and thrown into a van.

The air inside reeked of something strange. Within moments, Luna's head started spinning.

Just before she lost consciousness, she vaguely heard someone in the front seat mutter, "Step on it. Miss Rossi said we need to be there before three."

Her head slammed against the car window. Everything went black.

When she came to, she was in an abandoned warehouse.

She and Elena were tied to chairs on opposite sides of the room.

Luna stared at her, disgust flashing through her eyes.

They were close enough that Luna could clearly see the bruises and love marks scattered across Elena's skin.

Even the collar mark around her neck, etched deep from the personalized choker Liam had given her.

Elena noticed Luna had woken up and shot her a smug little smile.

"I saw you in the basement last night, Luna. Since you heard everything, I won't bother pretending anymore. I planned this whole kidnapping. Now when Liam gets here, why don't you guess-who do you think he'll save?"

Luna lowered her gaze. Would Liam really choose to save her?

The kidnappers used Luna's phone to call Liam, demanding he come alone with money, or they'd kill his wife.

His voice sounded frantic on the other end. Ten minutes later, he arrived.

With a loud crash, he kicked the warehouse door open. The moment his eyes landed on the two of them tied up, he froze.

"What the hell? Why is she tied up too? I thought it was just Luna!"

Luna's heart clenched, as if a knife had been driven straight through it.

"Well, Mr. Moretti," one of the kidnappers sneered, snatching the cash from his hand, "that's a problem, isn't it? You only brought enough for one. So... who's it gonna be?"

Elena looked at Luna like a victor.

And in the next second, Liam opened his mouth-

Chapter 3 The Choice

"Luna, baby, Elena is already carrying my child..." Liam said smoothly, wearing a look of concern that didn't quite reach his eyes. "I'll send someone with the money to get you out. Just hold on."

With that, he strode over and untied the ropes binding Elena.

Then, as if angry, he slapped her across the face. "What the hell were you thinking running off like that? Dogs like you belong in cages. Do I have to leash you every damn day?"

Elena threw herself into his arms and lowered her head to lick the back of his hand. "Master, you always love me best," she purred.

Then, when no one was looking, she shot Luna a smug, mocking look.

Luna watched them leave and let out a hollow laugh.

Liam hadn't chosen her, not today, not ever.

One of the kidnappers licked his lips and stepped toward Luna, a cruel grin spreading across his face.

So this was the woman the Don was married to? What a prize. He hadn't expected today to turn out so well.

Ignoring her desperate struggles, they pinned her down and began tearing at her clothes.

Luna's eyes filled with tears, her voice hoarse from crying.

Just then, a group of Liam's men burst into the warehouse. The sharp sound of a gunshot echoed through the room.

The man on top of her froze, eyes wide in shock. Blood bloomed across his chest.

Luna shoved him off in panic. A second later, one of the guards untied her.

"Ma'am," one of them said, "Mr. Moretti had us stationed nearby the whole time. He already investigated these thugs-they're nobodies. Not enemies against his family, just amateurs. He knew they wouldn't dare kill you."

Luna sat motionless, dazed, staring blankly as they explained.

But so what? Even if she hadn't died today, she'd nearly been violated.

And Liam had known. He'd known, and still chosen Elena.

To him, she meant nothing.

Meanwhile, Elena had been loaded into a car. By the time she snapped back to reality, they were already pulling up to Liam's estate.

Luna was also taken home. Seeing how the guards looked relieved to have completed their task, she didn't make things harder for them.

After all, Liam was known for his ruthlessness. If anyone failed him, they'd be feeding the sharks before sunrise.

Taking a deep breath, Luna forced herself to push the bedroom door open. Inside, she froze.

Elena was lying in bed, half-covered by the sheets. Liam was kneeling beside her, sleeves rolled up, carefully wiping her body down with a towel.

His movements were slow, meticulous-gentle in a way one might handle fine porcelain.

Luna's body went rigid. She wanted to turn and walk away, but her legs wouldn't move. So she just stood there, silently watching the man she loved take care of someone else with such tenderness.

Then Liam looked up, and their eyes met.

"What are you doing there?" His brow furrowed. His voice was low and cold, laced with irritation.

Luna turned her head, trying to remain calm. "Your men brought me back."

Only then did Liam seem to remember. He stepped over and wrapped her in his arms, examining her arm. "Baby, are you hurt?"

The false concern in his voice made Luna want to vomit.

She shook her head and quietly pulled her arm out of his grasp. "I'm fine."

Her eyes flicked to the bed, where Elena still lay.

Liam noticed and immediately tried to explain. "Baby, Elena's pregnant. Once she gives birth, I'll send her away. But right now... she's expecting. I don't have a choice."

Luna let out a soft, bitter laugh. Then she raised her eyes and looked at him.

That handsome face was a mask-no longer the man who had once loved her so deeply.

"Fine," she said coldly. "Then we'll do it your way."
