He sighed after entering his room after another rough day. This included eliminating a few people who were just ugly to deal with. It wasn't really hard for him to kill anyone as it came naturally. He was pushed into this world reluctantly. His name was enough to fill people with terror and make them shudder with fear. Vincenzo is what he was known as; the leader of the Italian Mafia.Being a gang leader had its perks, but sometimes it really got on the nerves. He pondered over what it would be like to live like a normal person. But he knew it wasn't in his fate.
Peace was something he had always looked for but kissed goodbye a long time back. It was something lost on a dreadful night where he did a vicious deed which he regrets till date. Something he couldn't forgive himself for. He only wished he could find a place or a person he could confide into or run away to a place where nobody could reach him. Peace was all he wanted. Peace was what he would never get.
He made his way to his bedroom and had a warm shower to release his stress and calm his nerves. Coming out all he wanted was to go to a peaceful slumber when his phone's ringtone made him scowl and groan."Yo lazy ass what's up?" spoke the person on the line upon attending the call. The well-known assassin Dante De Connor, someone who everybody had heard of, but none had seen, was rather enthusiastic to talk to his brother. The mastermind behind every mission, decided to give a heads up to him for the latest rising threat for the gang.
"Get to the point. I'm not in mood for your comments," Vincenzo replied with much irritation.
"Come on! I'm your only younger brother. At least give me some love," he spoke in baby voice.
"Two years don't make much difference," Vincenzo rolled his eyes.
"So ..... Then you wouldn't mind if I take over the gang?" Dante smirked.
"Don't get ahead of yourself. Remember you're still the younger one here."
"Yeah yeah I know. I just love riling you up sometimes. Besides I really enjoy my own job and wouldn't give it up for some stupid position," Vincenzo was annoyed at his brother's nonsense chatter.
"Why the hell are you disturbing me at this hour?" He gritted out.
"Well I've got some news. Could be helpful for you ...." Dante trailed off.
"What is it?" Vincenzo's curiosity perked.
"Uh uh uh, not like this. Let's meet up. Besides it's been too long since I met you."
"You met me two days ago," replied Vincenzo in a bored tone.
"Exactly! Too long. Anyways, I'll be waiting at the club. See ya!" With that Dante hung up and Vincenzo groaned in frustration. Now he would have to get his lazy ass out of the bed just to get some stupid information from his lovely Assassin, not to forget also his right hand man.
Rose was enjoying her beauty sleep when her shrilling ringtone broke her out of her slumber. She groaned and ignored it while the phone kept blaring. Frustration crawled upon her as she winced at the tone! Why is the whole world against her beauty sleep? Couldn't she get a good night rest for once? She lazily pulled her hand out of the comforter and fished for the phone on her bedside table, turning to lie on her stomach. Finally after some struggling, she felt the object she was looking for and slowly brought it to her ear while accepting the call.
Her eyes were still shut when she spoke, "The person you're trying to reach is currently enjoying her sleep. Please try again never!" With that she hung up and went back to her beautiful slumber.
On the other side Lily was tired of trying to reach her sister again and again. Stupid girl is always sleeping, she thought. She got even more irritated when she hung up on her. "Come on idiot! I need your help," she hissed out to herself. She rung her up again and Rose picked up with an even a more irritated and groggy voice.
"What is wrong with you? Do you always have to disturb me when I'm sleeping?!"
"The hell it's only 9pm. Why are you sleeping right now anyways?" Lily asked knowing her sister never sleeps before 12.
"Would you cut to the point?" Rose mumbled in her sleepy state.
"Dad's men are on round. They know I'm not in my room!" Lily expressed, worry lacing her voice.
"Well not my problem. You should have been more careful. Now enjoy your night. Bye!" Rose was about to hang up when Lily begged her once again.
"Rose please! Are you seriously going to ignore all the stuff I did to save your ass?" Rose groaned knowing Lily was right.
"Where are you?" Rose sighed.
"At this new club. I'm sending you the location."
"Alright," and just like that Rose fell asleep again. Lily and Rose were twins. Their father, James was a former member of a famous Italian Mafia. The right hand man for his boss, but left the group after he had his twins. He knew they were his weakness and his enemies would take that to their advantage. Thus he requested his boss David De Connor, also his best friend if he could finally have a normal life. David understood him and accepted his request letting him live the life he wanted.
James loved his twins dearly. He took very special care of them. They were not identical though. Lily was a copy of her father but had her mother's blonde hair while Rose was a copy of her mother with her father's hair.
James never kept anything from his family and they were well aware of his position in the mafia. Therefore the girls were highly trained to protect themselves from any danger. Lily was great with her weapons and moves while Rose could not only fight, but had an extra gift of intelligence. In school people used to think she was a nerd but they didn't know what the nerd could actually do. She was the best hacker anyone could know of and her mind just works beyond limits when it came to making strategies, plans or even learning anything.
The girls were sent abroad for their higher studies and only returned two months back. They were having a great time with their father. James had always ensured their security so he would not let them out alone so often. If he did then they had to go out with his guards and had curfew which they were not very happy about. This is why Lily had to sneak out to a party at a club because she was tired of being in the house.
She thought she was discreet enough but her father's men were always on alert and noticed her absence in the house, therefore reported to James immediately. And this is why her car was now jammed and she was stuck at the club while waiting for Rose to save her ass. It had been fifteen minutes now and Rose still did not show up. The club is hardly a ten minutes drive from their house. The good thing was the guards didn't know where she was since her location was off and thanks to Rose, she had her father's system hacked. Or so she thought.
Lily decided to call Rose again. After three rings she picked up and answered in her same raspy voice. "911 how may I help you?"
"What the hell Rose? Where are you?"
"Oh Lily, Yeah I am just getting ready don't worry I'll be there in no time!" Rose hung up again. Lily caught the lie immediately and knew she was still in bed. Rose could care less. After stretching a bit she finally decided to leave her husband a.k.a. her bed. She showered and changed into a tank top and ripped jeans. While putting on her lipstick, her phone shrilled again. She knew it was Lily and rolled her eyes.
"For God sake Lily I'm literally two minutes away. You know the traffic in this city is just crazy. So calm your ass down now!" Rose didn't let Lily speak and hung up before she could reply. She knew her sister would have made another blunder for which she was freaking out once again and like every other time; Lily only had Rose to help her out with the whole situation. After giving herself a satisfied look, she took her keys to her baby, her Lamborghini and hit the road, oblivious to the fact she was still wearing her fuzzy bunny slippers that she loved dearly.
Rose stepped into the club and was immediately met with horny teens smelling like rotten fish. This is one of the reasons why Rose doesn't like clubs. She eyed the whole place carefully. It was quite extravagant, she admitted. She looked around for a blonde she knew as her sister and found her sitting on one of the corner tables. With a smirk on her face, she made her way to the table.
"At your service your highness," she joked while signaling a waiter to bring a shot for her.
Lily just eyed her sister from head to toe and almost choked on her drink when her eyes fell on the bunny slippers. She laughed while pointing at them, "Really Rose? That?"
Rose looked at her feet to see what was wrong and noticed she didn't put on her shoes. She only shrugged as it really didn't matter. She plopped down on the chair opposite to Lily.
"What's got you so worked up now? Spill the beans," Rose sighed exasperatedly
"I told you that they found out I was not at home." Lily replied. But Rose knew that was only the part of the truth.
"And?" Rose interrogated and gulped down her shot that the waiter had brought while giving her a wink. She was well aware of the attention they both were getting for their looks. After all they had a perfect body of a model and their beauty was limitless.
"Ok well I was with my friends at another club and then they gave me a dare to mess up the jacket of this boy who not to mention looked like a bully, and well his jacket looked very expensive. So I did and in return he might have wanted to spill some drink on me as well when I punched him before he could and let's just say he and his friends were not so happy, so we ran from the club and decided to go back home when my car jammed in front of this club as the men would have realized that I was missing, and by now dad would also have been informed. What's worse is while I was running from the club I saw those boys following me and guess what? They are here!" She exclaimed while looking at the door.
Rose turned her face to where Lily was looking at. She saw a group of young boys entering the club. There were three of them. Rose faced Lily again and raised her eyebrow while sipping her shot. "It's not like you can't take care of them."
"Well I can but I don't really feel like today?" It came out more like a question.
"And why is that?" Rose smirked while leaning in a little.
"Sis I'm on my period!" That explained why Lily was behaving like that. She usually feels very lazy and does not really participate in any fighting because of the pain she has to put up with in these days.
"And weren't you on your period when you were punching him?" Rose asked while scowling at her.
"It was just a mere punch. I didn't expect them to come back to fight. Look I really need your help. Use that pretty brain of yours and get us out of here without getting caught by dad's men. You know they are on the loose as well." Rose knew she had to do something otherwise she too would get into trouble because of the stunt her dumb sister pulled.
"I love you Rose!! Please," Lily pleaded while showing her perfect teeth in a smile.
"Fine!" Rose sighed getting up from her seat. "Go mix with the people on the dance floor. I'll have a little chat with them." Rose smirked and Lily knew her sis was in character now.
"Thank you!" Lily squealed in excitement, "You are the best," she gave Rose thumbs up and left for the dance floor. Lily did as she was told and started dancing in the middle of the crowd at the same time made sure she was well hidden between the people.
Rose lazily got up and eyed those boys again. They were not older than eighteen she figured. She saw a waiter passing by with a tray that contained a big mug of beer and a glass of red wine. She seductively walked towards the waiter and gave him a heart melting smile. The waiter grinned feeling lucky getting the attention of the beauty. But his grin vanished when Rose just moved out of the way like nothing happened.
The waiter frowned while his eyes following her heading towards the entrance. He thought the girl might be crazy and continued making his way to serve the drinks in the private area that was well hidden from everyone's view. He was getting nervous as the owner of the club and his younger brother were the ones he had to serve the drinks to. He had heard rumors about them being ruthless and the poor boy was new at work.
When he finally reached the office, he put the tray on their table only to realize now there was only a red wine glass on the tray and the beer had disappeared. Dante raised his eyebrow at him asking where his drink was but ended up smirking at the idiot waiter as he had clearly seen the small interaction he had with a certain brunette knowing that his drink was in her hands. Dante always had his eyes everywhere. He did not ignore how the brunette skillfully managed to lure the waiter with her charming smile and tricked him. She had with much grace picked up the glass of beer without the waiter even noticing and this had definitely caught his attention.
