Redeeming The CEOs

"Dad! Please stop.... I'm begging you," I sobbed uncontrollably. How could my dad do this to me?! I'm his daughter for Christ sake! I looked at him and all I could see was his desire to satisfy himself.

"Shut up, you whore. You're just like your mother. A conniving little bi**ch! Stay still and I'd be done with you in a while," he roared. I tried so hard to push him off of me but he wasn't having any of it. I was weak, defenseless; i was being preyed upon by my dad, someone who was supposed to protect me.

The deed was done.

When I finally felt him leave me, i thought it was over. I dragged myself to the corner of of the dark room, and cried my eyes out. A while later, the door creaked open and in came my dad with someone else behind him.

'Oh God, no...Not again' i said within me but I was more stunned at who was behind him. ALLEN!! Allen Martins-- my boyfriend. Was he here to rescue me? I wasn't done asking myself these questions when I heard my dad's horrible voice.

"Look who we have here. It's Allen! Aren't you excited?" I could see the dark intent in his eyes and how his lips curved into a devious smirk. Wait, what was he up to?

"Allen, please help me. Save me!" Allen scoffed at me. Why was i getting shocks today?

"Tsk, save you? Help you? Why would i do that? I think this is a very good opportunity to tell you this cause i never loved you, not even for a second. You were just a means to an end," he rolled his eyes at me with clear disgust in his eyes.

"Allen, why are you saying this? Did my dad put you up to this?" All the while my dad was having a swell time watching our squabble. I mean how terrible could someone be...

"No one put me up to anything. You deserve what you're getting, you low-life. I mean, who would date you? You're a weakling; you can't hold a candle against anyone,"

"Stop! Stop! Please...." Another round of sobbing began. He was right...

"Okay, enough of this. Let's get straight to business," My dad said to Allen and I saw the same devious smirk appear on his face.

"What? What business... What are you talking about?" Before I could stutter all my questions out of my mouth, I was being dragged to the bed in the dark room and another road of horrible deeds happened again..

Someone should kill me, please!!

And I woke up, gasping for breath and clutching at my throat. I sat up from my bed and clawed at my skin. I stood up and walked with rushed steps to the vanity mirror in my room, looking at my body from head to toe, I dashed into the bathroom and had a thorough bath.

After my bath, I changed into another of my pajamas and went back to my room. I looked at the time and it was just 4:30am, I heaved a sigh and sat on my chair, reminiscing about everything that had happened to me. For as long as I can remember, while growing up, I've had the same recurring nightmare but months ago, I started seeing my ex too in my dreams and it always ended horribly. Another sigh left lips...

Who am i? My name is Phoenix, Phoenix Mills. I know my name doesn't sound at all catchy but thankfully, I love it. I lived my name. If you know the story of the phoenix bird, and you know about my hideous past, you'd most definitely agree with me. I was molested by my father immediately he got custody of me in court. I was never allowed to see my mother, not even once after that. My parents got separated and I got the worse childhood ever. From age 8, I was molested everyday by my father. This was his way of venting his anger towards my mother on me. Long story cut short, I endured everything because I wanted to go to school and later have my revenge but that didn't mean that I didn't get affected psychologically by what he did; I was greatly affected. I hated the feel of boys' skin on mine. I tried to limit the contact to a minimum.

Guess what, now, I own my own company, it may not be an empire but I'm still working towards it. It was during the start of my company that I met Allen Martins; the man I thought was the one until 3 months ago

(Three months earlier)

"Babe, guess what?" I was so excited to share the good news with him that immediately called him without a second thought....

"What, Nyx; it's definitely a good news cause you're way too excited about it," He chuckled and I could only giggle.

"Well, you're right. It is a huge deal for me,"

"Okay. I'm listening,"

"I'm finally going to start my own Cooking Fest!" Phoenix was definitely excited about it.

"Cooking Fest? What is that?"

"Babe, C'mon. Don't tell me that you forgot. I discussed this with you a while back about starting this. You know how much Cooking Fest to me and you know that that's why I opened tons of top notch restaurants and tons of five-star hotels and also why I hired the best chefs around, cause I want people to go to cloud 9 with my menus. Well, since you forgot, I'll remind you. Cooking Fest is going to be a TV series that airs once in a week and at the end of the month, a competition is held and the winner will either be hired by PHOENIX CORPORATION or they get monetary value,"

Phoenix explained diligently

"Oh, yeah, I remember. I'm so sorry that I forgot. You know how busy I get these days. I'm sure you understand because you're a boss yourself," Allen laughed. Allen always had an escape route for everything.

"Of course, I do. Who wouldn't understand your busy schedule? Being the CEO of MAGIC GAMERS, I'm sure it isn't easy on you,"

"You make me feel so big but you know that I'm just trying to keep my head in the game,"

"Honey, you're doing just great. You're already in the league of competitors in the gaming sector. I couldn't be proud,"

"Thanks babe,"

"How about we celebrate, this good news of mine is worth celebrating. How about dinner at your place?"

"Uhhh, babe, how about celebrating during the weekend? I'm busy with work at the moment and I'm worried I won't give you the attention you need,"

"Oh, okay. The weekend then. Love you. Bye,"

"Bye babe,"

After the call, Phoenix thought that Allen's behavior was weird but whatever, she was probably reading too much into things.

Somewhere else.......

I dropped the phone on the table and looked at the woman in front of me but I really wasn't looking at her, my mind had wandered off. Tsk, Phoenix, she really hasn't noticed the signs yet. Well breaking up with her at this point is useless because her supposed good news will bring me to the spotlight as her boyfriend but then again, I don't think it's worth the risk of losing this big catch right in front of me. Sure, Phoenix is very hard working, built her conglomerate of some sort from the scratch but who is to say that her business won't become a flop later! But this woman, right in front of me can give me so much power through her father, of course.

Lisa Myers is such a spoilt brat and doesn't know how to make her own money but her father, now, that's a mogul in the gaming world. If I get married to her, then I will have absolute power.....

"Allen, are you even looking at me?" Lisa called out to me

"Hmmm, yes baby; I am and you look ravishing," Lisa giggled at all of Allen's flirtatious comments. She loved it when he did that.

"Well then, if I'm so ravishing, what is keeping you from claiming your prize?" Lisa's eyebrow rose up in a somewhat seductive manner.

"Your wish is my command, My queen," As I was removing her clothes, Lisa stopped me

"Babe, who was that?"

"Who was who?"

"Babe, stop it..." she giggled "I heard you on the phone with someone, who was that?"

"Oh, that? That was a potential business partner and she called to keep me up to date on stuffs," I said, not entirely telling the truth.

"She?" Lisa's mood changed drastically

"It's not what you think. She's just a potential business partner. Aren't I allowed to have3 female partners?"

"I guess you can do that but they shouldn't get their filthy hands on you,"

Ohh, possessive much.... I guess it's my lucky day.

"Of course not. I'm yours for the taking. Now, less talking and more action,"

"Yeahhh, take them off, baby....."

Phoenix was getting excited for the coming weekend. I had done basically everything that needed to be done at the office; all the paper works, updating the menus, watching and learning some new recipes online, had business meetings with some clients who either wanted to rent a hall in one of our hotels or wanted to become partners, amongst other stuffs. At the end of the day, I told Liyah Donald, my secretary not to let anyone in cause I needed to rest and that was when I remembered that it was a Friday and the dinner was tomorrow which was a Saturday.

"Liyah, I'm heading off now. I've got stuffs to do at home; besides, it's almost closing hours," Phoenix spoke to her secretary in a very friendly manner. We got along well.

"Okay boss. I'll tidy up here and head out too,"

"That's okay. See you on Monday. Have a great weekend,"

"And you too boss,"

Phoenix stepped out of my office and got into my private elevator that led all the way to the underground parking lot. She got into the car which was a Bentley Muslane-her dream car. Excited, I whistled as I drove off. I turned on the radio and tuned in and luckily, a romantic song was being played and I sang along. I stopped over at a shopping mall and got myself a new dress. It was a loosed flowery gown that stopped at my knee.

Well, anticipating Saturday was everything on my Phoenix mind but who could have thought that it would be one of her worse days.

Saturday came quickly and I went to the spa to get a massage, facials, manicure and pedicure too. I wanted to look all peng and wonderful for Allen. I stopped by the supermarket and got some groceries to cook something simple yet mouthwatering. Time went by quickly and it was 5pm. I got to Allen's apartment and it was locked, fortunately, all the staffs at Allen's apartment were away and I had a spare key. I got in and started cooking.

When I was done, I smiled in satisfaction at what laid on the table; steak, grilled chicken, rice, mixed veggie salad, a bowl of mixed fruits and a bottle of red wine at the center of the table with scented candles placed strategically in the dining room.

Now, that was a simple yet mouthwatering masterpiece.

I got into one of the guest room and took a shower. I sat in the living room but to make it lovelier, I switched off the lights and only the scented candles could be seen making it super romantic. I sat on one of the couch in the dark parlor and waited patiently for Allen. I dozed off in the process of I got up by the clicking sound of the door locks.

Finally!! He's here... I anticipated every moment. When the door finally opened, what I saw wasn't pleasant at all. In fact, I was stunned.

Allen was groping another lady!!!

Allen and Lisa didn't notice the presence of someone else in the house. They were both caught up in their mini-heaven. Lips smacking could be heard, Allen and Lisa both trying to peel each other's clothes off at the same time.

"Babe, something smells nice," Lisa said after what seemed like an eternity

"Oh, maybe Sasha, the maid did some cooking and went home but not to worry, we would have dinner together after I've eaten you up,"

"You're so naughty, Allen. You really are impatient tonight,"

"Who would be patient when you are here?"

Still in their world, Phoenix couldn't bring herself to scream or say anything; she just stood there like a mannequin. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, she led out a blood shrieking scream.

"Allen!!" Phoenix looked at him in utter disbelieve..

"Wait, what?" Allen struggled to switch on the lights. When he turned towards the direction of the voice, he became immobile.

"Phoenix...?"

"Allen, who is she?" Lisa suddenly said

"Phoenix...."

Well, Phoenix didn't think she needed to be there anymore. She walked past them and ran as fast as she could to her car. She got in and drove home. As soon as she got home, she changed into something badass-all leather with a matte black lipstick to finish the look.

She went out again but this time, on one of her power bikes. She rode it as fast as she could; like he was being chased by a demon until she got to Club X...

Allen definitely didn't see that coming. He was breathless, making Lisa more worried.

"Who was she? Who was that woman?"

"She's nobody," Allen blurted the first words that came out from his mouth without thinking.

"I don't believe you. How could a nobody have access to your home and she even made you dinner in the most romantic way possible and even decorated the dining room with scented candles; yet you still say that she's a nobody?"

"Trust me Lisa; she's just my ex who definitely acts like I owe her anything. She's just trying to leech off of me,"

"How does your ex still have the key to your apartment?"

"I probably didn't get it back from her after we broke up,"

"I hope for your sake that you are right or else, my dad won't let this matter go easily,"

"Trust me baby, we were over a long time ago,"
