Reborn To Find Each Other

"I hate you," these three words rang in Alexa's head. She was just coming from Edward's house, Edward was her fiance and she found him making love to her best friend Ella, the word "hate" was supposed to be said by her for the betrayal but it was the other way round.

Alexa and Edward were betrothed when Alexa was just 17 years old, but they got engaged when they turned 20. They were betrothed by their grandparents whom at both families were dead. Edward never loved Alexa not because she was not beautiful, Alexa was a very beautiful girl, she had a long shiny blonde hair, she had an oval face which looked super innocent and very cute, she had perfect blue eyes that looked like the sea when the sun is setting, her long and curly eyelashes that some people rarely believed that it was natural, her pink and slightly pouted lips and she had a slim waist and a really good figure. Many companies had begged her to model for them, but she bluntly refused, because she wanted to be a doctor, but in her family as well as her town a woman doesn't work, the men do the working and also Alexa's were filthy rich, they were the third most richest family in Country G and so there was no reason for her to work, especially when Edward's family was also rich although they were not as rich as Alexa's family Edward's family were the sixth most richest.

Alexa and Edward were close friends before they were betrothed, But, Alexa had a crush on Edward since she was 15 years old and she had confessed her feelings to him but he said he was not ready to be in a relationship, and Alexa didn't persist and they continued being friends, Then a year later both of them were betrothed, so it clearly seemed like she was the one who begged for them to be betrothed, or at least that was what Edward thought, since she was the only girl in her family with two older brothers and she was also her grandparents favorite, she could easily do that. This made Edward's attitude changed towards her, but she didn't even noticed it and was just happy that fate chose to bring them together. Although they were good friends, Edward wanted to be free, being betrothed meant he had to like a married man, when he was just 18 he wouldn't love or even like any other girls and it was a must that he would eventually get married to Alexa, no matter what, it felt like his life was already decided and he didn't get to have a say in it Alexa's elder brothers, the eldest whose name was Alexander and her immediate elder brother, Allen, both of the disliked Edward, but they had to put up with it since it was their grandparents request. Alexa had two best friends; Ella and Cassandra, they too were from rich families, but not as rich as Alexa, they were all childhood friends and also family friends; Ella unknown to her friends also had a crush on Edward. Due to his handsomeness Edward had made a lot of girls, including Alexa and Ella fall for him, Edward was a tall guy with black wavy hair, his white skin perfectly tanned, he had cute dimples on both side of his cheeks, his narrow and pink lips was irresistible to look at, he had a charming look and he was a cool guy to hang around with. Alexa had told her friends about her crush for Edward, but she didn't tell them that she had confessed her feelings and the reply she got, they were happy for her, complimenting her on how both of them made a perfect couple, but, Ella's happiness wasn't from her heart as she wasn't ready to lose Edward to anyone not even Alexa, she tried to come up with a plan to confess her feelings to Edward before it was too late and Alexa gets to be with Edward, only for her to hear rumors going round about Alexa and Edward being betrothed, she told Cassandra about the rumor going round and the both confronted Alexa, who cleared the doubt and told them that it happened three months ago and that the decision was made solely by their grandparents and that she didn't even tell her grandparents that she had a crush on Edward, she apologized saying that she didn't tell them because Edward had been acting weird towards her. The three friends rejoiced, teasing Alexa that even before she prayed her prayer, after that Ella left, she cried secretly and then decided to get Edward no matter what. Ella searched for Edward for a long time, before she finally found him alone in the school's basketball court practicing, she rushed to him and confessed all her feelings to him, she kept in mind a thousand and one things to say to him if he rejected her, but unexpectedly he accepted her, he told her that he also had a crush on her because of her boldness, liveliness and courage, that she was so unlike Alexa who behaved like spoilt brat all the time, behaving weak and frail and then commanding people to do things for her, he said that he was tired of Alexa's bossy attitude, he also told her that he never love Alexa, that was his grandparents that had forced him to accept Alexa for the sake of the long friendship they which started from them, them to his Parents.

They started dating in secret since when they were 19 years old, when they clocked 20 they were surprised to learn that his parents were preparing his and Alexa's engagement, because he was finally planning to introduce Ella to his Parents as his future wife since his grandparents had died he thought that everyone would have long forgotten that they were betrothed, he talked to his Parent about moving on but they decline, saying that it was his grandparents last wish before they passed away and it had to be fulfilled, no matter what.

This made Edward hate Alexa the more, only the thought of her could ruin his mood for days, but he didn't let her know, cause her dad was actually supporting his dad's business and if he as much tried to offend her he couldn't guarantee what her father might do to him and his father, so he was very careful not to do anything to offend her although sometimes he would show her but she was too madly in love with him to care, she was like a servant always ready when he calls. Meanwhile, Ella continued to fool Alexa, pretending to be a good and trustworthy friend but deep down, she hated Alexa to death.

At 24 years, this was far long after the engagement of Alexa and Edward, when at this moment people were eagerly expecting them to get married, Edward got married to Ella secretly and they were consummating their marriage when Alexa barged into Edward's bedroom, she was holding a car key of a BMW which fell on the ground as soon as she saw what Ella and Edward were doing the car to key was parked just outside Edward's house, it was a gift she had saved up some money to buy for him for valentine although it had long passed,

"Ed...Edward!" Alexa screamed, but the newly-wedded didn't even flinched and they completely ignored her and they didn't stop with what they were doing,

"Ella... Oh My God Ella. I thought we were friends, I thought we were best friends, so you had the heart to do this to me," Alexa said as she choked on her tears, Alexa's cry made Ella happy cause she was happy to know that her relationship with Edward was no longer a secret, she even moaned loudly to express her happiness, this made Alexa breakdown the more and her knees gave way and she fell on her knees, unable to control her emotions, the broken friendships which of both betrayals were since childhood, she continued hearing them moaning and groaning, treating her presence as air, she couldn't take it anymore and just left, not before picking up the keys of the car, it was just as she crossed the door that at least one of them noticed her,

"WAIT!" a husky voice rang, the voice was full of rigidity and harshness, it was Edward's. Alexa with a thought that he wanted to beg her, left the room with tears still falling from her eyes, but due to his long legs, Edward with his ease reached Alexa and harshly pulled her hands bringing her to a halt,

"I said wait, or are you deaf apart from being dumb?" Edward asked harshly smirking, and Alexa feeling more hurt dragged her hand away from Edward's grip and left the apartment, but Edward still followed her outside although he was only wearing a bathrobe,

"What is it, haven't you done enough already? " Alexa asked completely pissed, he wasn't going to beg her, console her or give her an explanation, so why was he still following her, was he going to make things more unbearable for her,

Where should I start, I think will start with you being the reason why I played an hide and seek love with the love of my life, the other reasons I don't think you will get know them because I have to go be with me wife, didn't you say I will make a perfect husband guess am trying to live up to your expectation, although you will never be the one to be my wife ," Edward smirked wickedly, "Wi...W...wife!" Alexa stammered, she was getting heartbreaking news one after the other, "Yes! Wife, and there is more to add to that good news, I am currently expecting my first child and I am really excited, we have been dating for a very long time and my love was quite understanding and assisted in making a fool of you, isn't she so supportive I mean if it was in your case you would have spilled the whole thing within seconds," Edward scoffed "You played with my heart as well as my feelings and that's all you have to say to me, you made me think I had some by side but, in reality I had no one. Why didn't you just tell our Parents that what we had, wasn't enough for us to live the rest of our lives together instead of leading me on and ending up breaking my heart in the end," Alexa shouted in anger as tears fell on her face like a waterfall, "Well... it's because your dad was supporting my dad's company, so rejecting you or breaking up with you was so out of the picture cause it will ruin my dad's plans and we might go bankrupt and I didn't want that to happen at all, so fooling you was my only option although I never enjoyed, don't get me wrong, it's not like I didn't enjoy fooling you, it just that I didn't enjoy being around you," Edward said gritting his teeth and then laughed dryly, "You shouldn't have said you love me when you didn't, now my heart got really hurt, you're so heartless!" Alexa said sobbing profusely, her knees gave way again and she unconsciously laid on the floor if not that the floor was covered with grass, she would have gotten seriously injured or would have had a fracture and then the universe added to her sorrow by letting its own tears fall on her making her soaked with rain,

"Wow! isn't mother earth giving me her blessings by making the perfect atmosphere to shatter your heat the more," Edward said as he tried cupping some rain in his hands,

"So Alexa let me say it again, I HATE YOU! I never loved you and I never will, in fact what I feel fall you is hatred, that hatred that grows anytime I lay my eyes on you and..." "Babe! Come inside it's raining" Ella's voice rang , interrupting the sorrow filled conversation, she tied a towel around her chest, as she came to call Edward whom she felt was wasting time too much time disposing a filthy trash,(Alexa) that wasn't worth his time, "oh, babe please go inside," Edward said in completely different tone from the one he use to talk with Alexa,

"I will join you soon, we don't want you nor will the baby to catch a cold, I promise come in shortly,"

"alright then I'm waiting don't make me wait long," he said as he watched Ella enter back into the apartment, and then turn to face Alexa to continue with his harsh words,

"I was the one you ran to first when you needed anything, I was always there for you whenever you needed me and now this is my gain let me ask didn't you ever love me or didn't you ever feel any sympathy for me at all, if at all you felt or you ever appreciated me, couldn't you at least let me go slowly or at least more maturely, instead of shattering my heart into uncountable pieces at least thinking of all the things I did for you, I don't deserve this," Alexa asked she had stopped sobbing but her heart was broken and it was bleeding uncontrollably.
