Chapter 1
When I opened the door, I saw my husband having sex with my stepsister. What the heck? My whole body trembled. I wanted to charge at them and curse them both, but I couldn't-because I was pregnant.
"Ohhh, sis, here you are," Jaine, my stepsister, said with a smile.
"What is the meaning of this?" I asked my husband, tears welling in my eyes.
"Wait, let me explain-"
He reached out to hold my hand, but I pulled away.
"Don't bother explaining, Xander. Hey, sis, don't you know? This isn't even the first time we've done this," Jaine sneered.
I shook with rage, unable to hold back anymore-I slapped her across the face.
"What the heck, b*tch?!" she screamed, about to lunge at me, but Xander held her back.
I looked at him, my eyes filled with pain.
"Why? Why?" I choked out.
"Because I don't love you, okay?" he said coldly. "I only stayed with you because of that child that isn't even mine. And, of course, because of your wealth and company. But now that everything is settled, I'll file for divorce."
"What do you mean?" I whispered.
"Don't you get it?" Jaine smirked. "You're so stupid-so confident in your life and your man. But did you really think he was the one you were with that night?"
My world shattered in an instant. All this time, I was the only one who didn't know. They had made a fool out of me. I loved him, yet... he wasn't even the man I spent that night with?
I dropped to my knees, gripping my face in despair. Who? Who was the man that night? Who is the father of my unborn child? A storm of questions raged in my mind.
"Oh, and you know what?" Jaine leaned in and whispered, "I was the one who put the aphrodisiac in your drink that night-to make sure you ended up in the wrong room. And from what I heard, the owner of that room was Mr. Lopez. Rumor has it, he's fat, ugly, and has millions of mistresses. Hahaha."
What? My eyes burned with fury as I glared at her. Mr. Lopez? No one had ever seen his face, but they said he was a millionaire and a powerful business tycoon. Yet, according to Jaine, that was just a rumor...
"Oh, by the way, sis, here-for you."
Jaine handed me an envelope. I opened it and read the documents inside. What? A company transfer agreement... and divorce papers?!
I stood up abruptly.
"Huh. Even if I die, I will never sign this."
"Sign it... or else," Xander demanded.
"Or else what?" I challenged.
He turned on a flat-screen TV, and my heart stopped at the sight. No! It was my brother-tied up, unconscious.
"What did you do to him?!" I screamed.
"Sign it, or I'll kill him."
Jaine shoved a pen into my hand. I had no choice. With shaking fingers, I signed the papers.
"Now let him go, please," I begged.
Xander smirked. "It's too late, darling."
BANG!
A gunshot echoed in the room. My blood ran cold as I turned to see my brother collapse to the ground, lifeless.
"No..." My voice broke. My whole body trembled as tears streamed down my face.
"And now, it's your turn," Jaine sneered, "along with your bastard unborn child."
She kicked me hard in the stomach. Agony ripped through me as I clutched my belly, feeling the warm, wet sensation of blood seeping through my clothes.
"Please... save my child," I gasped.
Jaine grabbed my hair and yanked my head back.
"Oh, and by the way, thanks to your soft-hearted nature, my mother and I had no trouble getting rid of yours."
What? They... killed my mother?
I trusted them. I loved them. Yet, the man I devoted my life to and the sister I cherished had betrayed me. They cheated on me, killed my mother and brother... This is all my fault.
Sobs wracked my body as I collapsed in despair.
Gasoline soaked the floor around me.
"Goodbye and farewell."
They smirked as they dropped a lighter. Flames erupted, quickly consuming the room.
Weak. I was too weak. Blood loss was draining my strength. I struggled to crawl, but the fire grew hotter, surrounding me.
Then... through the smoke, I saw a blurred figure. Someone was there-watching me with concern.
A scar ran across his arm, exposed where his torn tuxedo sleeve had ripped.
My vision blurred further. I couldn't hold on any longer.
Jaine, Xander... if we meet in the next life, I will make you pay.
And for this man-if there is a next life, I will find you and thank you in person.
My baby... I'm sorry. I couldn't give you the life you deserved.
Goodbye, my love... Mom, Brother, I'm sorry...
A final tear slipped down my cheek as darkness swallowed me whole.
I opened my eyes and saw something familiar. Is this my room? Didn't I already die?
"Thank God, you're okay!"
"Mom? You're alive?"
She looked at me with concern, then turned to the side where my brother was standing.
"Mom, Liam, you're both alive?"
"What are you talking about, Ash?" my brother asked.
Without hesitation, I hugged them both tightly.
"What's wrong?" Mom asked, worried.
I glanced at the calendar near my bedside table. My heart pounded as I realized-I had gone back five years in time. I'm only 17 years old again...
"Ouch..."
A sudden pain shot through my head.
"Are you okay, sis?"
I saw the worry in my mom and brother's eyes. Then, flashes of my past life flooded my mind.
Is this really happening? Mother, brother... in this life, I will protect you. God is on my side-He sent me back to a time when you were both still alive.
A smile formed on my lips as I thought about my revenge.
My name is Ashley Wilson, the daughter of one of the richest men. But my father disappointed me. After my mother died, he brought home his mistress and his illegitimate daughter.
I had my own company under my name-a gift from my grandfather before he passed away. Under my mother's guidance, I grew the business in my previous life, only for them to steal it from me.
"Mom, what time is it?"
"It's already 8 AM," she replied.
"I want to go to school, Mom."
"You should rest first, sweetheart."
"No, Mom. I can do it. Trust me." I smiled at her reassuringly.
"I'll come with you, sis," Liam offered.
"No. Stay here and take care of Mom. I just need to get something."
I left the house and got into the car.
When I arrived at school and walked through the gates, all eyes were on me. Well, that's nothing new. They never liked me, and I never had many friends. I had one best friend since childhood, but she died of depression in my previous life. It was one of my biggest regrets-I wasn't there for her when she needed me the most. Instead, I pushed her away because my stepsister told me to.
I was desperate for a sister, so I accepted and treated her as one. Little did I know, she wasn't just my stepsister-she was my half-sister, my father's illegitimate child.
This time, I won't let anyone step on me. In this life, no one can harm me.
I entered the classroom. As soon as I opened the door, I quickly stepped aside-just in time to avoid a bucket of paint falling from above.
In my past life, I was always their victim. But not this time.
The students stared at me in shock, but I ignored them and walked straight to my seat.
Someone suddenly kicked my desk.
I looked up and glared at her. It was Lesley, my classmate, along with her two minions, Amber and Lalaine. They were the school bullies, and I was always their favorite target.
Before, I let them torment me. But not anymore.
"What are you looking at, huh?" Lesley sneered, raising her hand to slap me.
Before she could, I grabbed her wrist and kicked her in the stomach. She collapsed onto the floor.
"Don't just stand there! Go after her and beat her!" she shouted at her minions.
They lunged at me, but I easily took them down.
My uncle, my mother's brother, was in the military. He taught me self-defense.
In my past life, after my mother died, he returned home for the funeral. But after that, he disappeared. The last thing he said to me was that he would find out who killed my mother.
After that, I never heard from him again.

Chapter 2
I approached Lesley with a smile.
"Stay away from me!" she shouted, but I didn't back down.
"You like bullying so much, right?" I asked with a smirk.
"What do you want?" she snapped.
I grabbed the paint from the table and poured it over her.
"Oh my God... Eww! What did you do to me?"
Still unsatisfied, I grabbed her by the hair and dragged her toward the restroom. She struggled, but I didn't let go. By now, many students were watching, some even recording the scene.
When we reached the restroom, I shoved her face into the toilet repeatedly.
"Taste your own medicine," I sneered.
It only stopped when a teacher arrived.
"What is the meaning of this, Ms. Wilson?"
I didn't answer because I didn't care.
"Go to the office now! All of you!" our teacher yelled angrily.
As we entered the dean's office, I noticed a man sitting with Mr. Dean.
"Mr. Dean, I have something to report," the teacher said.
"Not now. I have an important guest," Mr. Dean replied.
The man turned around, and only then did I get a clear look at his handsome face. He was staring at me. Was this my illusion? He seemed to be smiling.
"It's okay, Dean. Deal with your troublemaker students first," he said, then walked past me, stopping just long enough to whisper, "My little kitten is a troublemaker."
What the-? Who was this guy? I didn't even know him.
Before I could say anything, he was gone.
The teacher explained the situation to the dean.
"Dean, please help me! Expel that girl! Look at what she did to me!" Lesley whined dramatically.
"This is too much, Miss Winston. I can't expel you, but..."
The dean hesitated. Of course, he wouldn't do it-my family is the second-largest investor in this prestigious school.
"But... you are suspended for one week. That's your punishment."
"What? One week? No!" Lesley screamed.
"Shut up. And you, Miss Cruz, will be suspended for one month. I've received multiple reports of you bullying students."
Blah, blah, blah.
I left, irritated. Honestly, I'd rather be expelled for a week. Besides, tonight, Dad was leaving for his so-called business trip. In reality, he was going to spend a week with his mistress. This was the perfect chance to expose his lies to Mom.
I returned to school because I needed to get some documents regarding a piece of land being auctioned. In my previous life, Jaine acquired that land for a low price, and it changed her life. The land became highly profitable after a year, generating billions in revenue. Because of it, she secured a 30% share in the company. But this time, I wouldn't let her have it.
According to my sources, the documents I needed were at school.
As I walked, I accidentally bumped into someone.
"Sorry," he said, picking up the scattered papers.
I helped him since it was partly my fault for not watching where I was going. But I was shocked when I saw the documents-I needed them! I discreetly took them and smiled at him.
He walked toward a trash can and dumped a box of papers.
So, this is where I would find it. I smirked as I held the documents in my hands.
I was on my way home. As expected, Dad was leaving for his "business trip," but we all knew the truth-he was going to his mistress. Back then, we were foolish enough to believe his lies.
Before he left, I secretly placed a tracking device on his car to find out where he had hidden his mistress and his illegitimate child.
"Honey, take care," Mom said, hugging and kissing Dad on the forehead.
I wanted to vomit. How could he act like nothing was wrong? I was still furious at him for what he did in my past life. Less than a week after Mom's funeral, he brought his mistress home. Back then, I did nothing-I was timid and cowardly.
But now that I was reborn, I wanted them to pay.
Once Dad left, I rushed to my room and opened my laptop. I watched the GPS tracker carefully.
After an hour, he stopped at a private villa worth millions.
Wow. He could spend millions on his mistress and illegitimate child, yet he never took Mom to an expensive restaurant.
What a great husband and father. How shameless.
I chuckled bitterly and sighed.
This wasn't the time to feel sorry. It was time to act.
I changed my clothes and left to check out the villa.
"Mom, I'm going out for a bit."
"Where are you going, sweetheart?"
"I just need to buy something. See you later!"
"Okay, take care."
I left the house and hailed a taxi. I didn't want to take my car-Dad might get suspicious.
Just then, a familiar car stopped in front of me.
I knew this car.
Anger bubbled in my chest when I saw the driver.
It was Xander.
I didn't want to see him. Not now.
"Hi, Ash. Want a ride? Where are you going?" he asked with a smile.
At this time, we weren't together yet-he was still courting me. I accepted his confession in the past because he saved me when I was about to fall down the stairs. I suspected someone pushed me back then.
"Thanks, but no thanks. Oh, and by the way, don't show up in front of me again. Don't pester me. Even if I die, I will never be with you."
I turned to leave, but he got out of his car and followed me.
"I said, stay away from me!" I snapped, annoyed.
"Hey, relax. Why are you so mad at me? I don't even know what I did wrong."
I ignored him and walked away, but he grabbed my wrist.
"I said, don't touch me!"
I shot him a glare. He looked surprised by my reaction, but he still wouldn't let go.
I was about to knee him in his private area when a man with glasses suddenly grabbed his hand and threw him to the ground.
"She said, don't touch her," a deep voice spoke behind me.
A strong arm wrapped around my waist, pulling me close.
When I turned around, I couldn't take my eyes off his incredibly handsome face.
Wait. I knew this guy.
He was the man talking to the dean earlier at school.
"Hey! Who are you?" Xander demanded.
"Me? You don't deserve to know my name. So f*ck off," the man replied coldly, his aura terrifying.
Xander got scared and left.
Only then did I realize he was still holding my waist. I quickly pushed him away.
"Thanks, but don't meddle in my business again," I said, meeting his eyes.
Gosh, why was I blushing?
"He's your business? I don't think so... But," he stepped closer and gently tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear, smirking.
What a psycho. I rolled my eyes.
"As I said, none of your business."
"Is that how you treat your future husband?"
What?! Future husband?!
Was this guy insane?
I never had a future husband before-except for that jerk Xander.
Was he trying to flirt with me?
Well... he was handsome, rich, and powerful. It wouldn't be a loss for me.
I smirked and leaned in, running my fingers across his chest.
He tensed and blushed slightly. Ha! You can't beat me-I'm good at flirting.
"Oh, my dear future husband, nice to meet you. You're so good-looking. What if I want to have a child with you?"
He gulped, adjusting his tie.
Then, he suddenly grabbed my waist and pinned me against his car.
I wrapped my arms around his shoulders.
Before I could react, he kissed me.
Of course, I wouldn't back down-I kissed him back.
After a minute, we both pulled away, panting.
Mr. Handsome."
He just smiled.
"What if I told you this was my first kiss? Will you take responsibility?"
First kiss? As if I'd believe that.
"This is my first kiss too," I replied.
"You said you want to have a child with me, right?" he asked.
"Yeah, so what?"
I just want my lost child back from my previous life. If I have to choose a man, he's the best option.
"I want to as well, but..."
He looked at me and gently caressed my face.
"You're too young for that. I can wait until you graduate."
What a nice guy... Well, he has a point. In this life, I'm only 17.
"So, Mr. Handsome, can you do me a favor?"
"Yes. But what will you give me in return for this favor?" he asked sarcastically.
"Hey! You took my first kiss. That's enough!" I shouted.
"But you also took mine," he smirked.
I can't argue with this guy.
"Fine. What do you want?"
"I want you to marry me."
For God's sake, we've only known each other for half a day, and now he's proposing? Is he insane?
"No thanks... I'll just take a taxi."
"There are no taxis around here. You'll be waiting until nightfall."
"That's fine. I'd rather wait than marry you."
"Okay, fine. I don't want to pressure you. I'll take you home."
I hesitated for a moment before getting in. I had no choice.
"Where are you going?"
I pointed at the address I wanted to go to.
When we arrived, I saw them happily talking in the living room.
"Is that your dad?" Mr. Unknown asked.
"By the way, Handsome, what's your name?"
"You'll find out tomorrow."
Never mind. Talking to this guy is so brainless.
I used my binoculars to observe them... and to my surprise, he had binoculars too.
"Another favor, Mr. Handsome. I want to get inside their house, but I can't because they're in the living room. Can you divert their attention?"
"Anything for you, wife."
I just smiled.
He took out his phone and made a call. A few moments later, they suddenly left the house. That was fast.
I didn't waste any time and sneaked inside. Before entering, I turned off all the CCTVs. In my previous life, my uncle taught me how to hack.

Chapter 3
I entered the house and installed tiny hidden cameras so they wouldn't notice. I also connected a wireless link to their phones-luckily, they had left them in the living room. This way, I could listen to their conversations and uncover their plans, including how they managed to kill my mother in my previous life.
As I glanced around, my eyes landed on the edge of the table, where a picture frame stood. A fresh wave of anger surged within me. It was a family photo taken at an amusement park-my father, his mistress, and their illegitimate child. They were smiling, with my father carrying Jaine in his arms while his mistress leaned close to him. The date inscribed on the frame caught my eye. It was taken on my 7th birthday-the same day my father was supposed to be on a business trip. That night, when he finally came home, my birthday was already over. He brought a gift, and I didn't feel bad at the time because I believed he had been working. I had hoped our family would be complete on my special day. But now I know the truth-he was with them, celebrating at an amusement park while I was waiting for him.
Overcome with rage, I yanked the picture out of the frame, tore it into pieces, and tossed it onto the floor.
I left just as they arrived home. Moments later, I heard Jaine scream.
"Nooooo! That was my only childhood picture with Dad! Who did this?!"
She cried hysterically. Well... that was nothing compared to what they did to me. That was just an appetizer. The main course was yet to come. Wait and see.
I got into the car, ignoring the smirk on his face. I took off my jacket.
"What did you do this time, little wild cat?"
"Nothing... just letting off some steam."
"Need help? I can lend you a hand."
"No thanks, I can handle it."
He drove me home. What an awful day.
The next day, I went to the office to grow the business my grandfather left behind. I didn't bother asking my mother for guidance-I still clearly remembered everything she taught me in my past life. I used my suspension as an opportunity. Time was running out, and I couldn't afford to waste it.
After a week, I had completed everything. Growing the business was much easier than in my past life when it took years. I had investors-people I trusted before.
There was a knock on the door.
"Come in."
A woman entered. I looked at her-I knew her. She was one of my father's employees who betrayed me. He had personally recommended her to me.
"Ma'am, here's my resume."
"Sit down. You can start tomorrow." I said seriously.
"But, ma'am... you haven't even read my resume yet," she replied hesitantly.
I sat with my legs crossed, looking at her.
"No need. I know I can trust you. My dad recommended you to me, and he thinks highly of you."
I smiled at her-but, of course, it was fake.
She stood up and bowed. "Thank you, ma'am. I'll do my best to help you."
"Okay, you may go."
She left. Of course, I wanted to keep an eye on her every move. I knew someone was behind her, planning to steal confidential files-just like in my previous life. I would use her as bait to catch the bigger fish.
I smirked.
The game has just begun. Gotcha.
I almost forgot-today marks the last day of my father's happiness. He was coming home. I figured his so-called "business trip" at his mistress's house had ended.
I got ready and went home. As expected, my father was already there. My mother was crying-I knew why. She must have seen the lipstick stain on my father's collar.
"Mom, what happened?" I asked, pretending not to know.
She quickly wiped her tears. I sat beside her, offering comfort.
"You're home, Ash. By the way, how's your company? Is everything okay?"
"Yes, Mom. What about you?"
She looked down, avoiding my gaze. I felt sorry for her, but she needed to be strong-her weakness would only push her toward death.
"Mom, I know you're not okay. And I think I already know why... Dad is having an affair, isn't he?"
She gasped at my words.
"Mom, don't hide it from me. I'm not a child anymore. What if..."
I held her hands and looked her straight in the eye.
"What if you divorce Dad?"
She was shocked. Her eyes widened as she covered her mouth in disbelief.
"Don't say that, darling. I can't live without your father... I don't want people to talk behind your backs just because we got divorced."
"My sister is right, Mom. Divorce Dad," my sibling said, arriving home from school.
"But..."
"Mom, don't hesitate. We don't need Dad in our lives. We can be happy on our own. You know Dad has had another child all this time."
"What?! Is that true, sis?!" my sibling shouted in shock.
Good thing Dad is at the office; he's not here, so we can talk properly. When he got home, he just changed clothes and left immediately.
"Yes, it's true. I have evidence."
I showed them the CCTV footage taken from his mistress's house.
Mom broke into sobs, while my brother was furious, ready to confront Dad. But I stopped him. Just like before, when he confronted Dad, he ended up as the villain and lost his right to inherit the company. Because of that, Jaine easily took over the business that Mom had worked so hard to build.
Mom and Dad built it together, but it was really Mom who did everything to bring it to where it is today. I won't let history repeat itself in this life.
I knew Mom had suspected Dad of having an affair and even hiring a private detective to follow him. But Dad was too cautious, and she never caught him.
"I have a plan... but act normal. Especially you."
I pointed at my brother. He always acted recklessly, which led us to our tragic deaths before.
I want to take back everything we deserve. I want to reclaim everything they stole from us.
I won't leave them with anything. Right now, all I feel is rage.
I glanced at the clock. Dad would be home soon.
"Mom, brother, remember what I said. Don't act rashly. Leave everything to me."
I told them before heading upstairs to my room.
I had already talked to Mom about the divorce papers and arranged everything through our trusted private attorney. She deserved better. She didn't deserve to be deceived and hurt.
First mission accomplished: convince Mom to get a divorce.
Suddenly, I remembered what Mr. Handsome said-that I would learn his name tomorrow. But it's been a week, and I still haven't heard from him. Nah, never mind. He's not important enough to think about.
After all this, I want Mom and my brother to live happily. But before that, I want them to pay the price.
I don't want to kill them, but I want them to suffer a million times more than I did in my previous life.
I stayed in my room, unaware of what was happening downstairs. I opened my laptop and put my AirPods in.
Then, two familiar snakes appeared on my screen.
"Mom, I don't want to be a bastard child forever," Jaine complained on the other end.
Her mother hugged her. What a drama queen.
"Don't worry, child. If his wife is dead, I will be Mrs. Wilston."
She smiled. Don't worry, your dream will come true... I smirked.
"What about my stepsister and brother?"
"Don't worry about them. I've already convinced your dad to marry her off to a rich family."
"What? No way! That would make her inferior to me!"
"Oops, no... She's going to marry Mr. Lopez."
I froze at her words. Mr. Lopez? The man I was with that night in my past life? No way...
I remember now-I had a fiancé before. Because I refused to marry someone I didn't love, I ran away from home and stayed at my best friend's apartment. As I was going down the stairs, someone pushed me. I almost fell, but Xander caught me. That's how I started falling for him.
But it turns out... he was just using me. He was in cahoots with Jaine all along.
"Mr. Lopez? The powerful businessman? No one has ever seen his real face, right?" Jaine asked.
"Yeah, but rumors say he's fat, ugly, and has women everywhere. He treats them as playthings, and when he gets bored, he passes them to others."
She smiled. So that was her plan-to make me suffer before.
"You're the best, Mom! But what if your plan fails?"
"Hmm, I haven't thought about that."
"Don't worry, Mom. I have a Plan B."
Her mother looked at her.
"What is it?"
"You know Xander, right? He's been courting that bitch. What's so good about her?"*
Jaine said irritably. So she knew about Xander? I was so foolish to believe them.
Her mother frowned.
"If your plan fails, I'll take care of the rest."
"Okay, sweetheart."
So that was their plan... And because Amanda (Jaine's mother) failed, she used Xander as bait instead.
I was such an idiot back then, running to the family gathering to meet my fiancé.
But now that I've been reborn, I want to see this so-called Mr. Lopez. I want to meet him in person. Why are there such rumors about him? Are they true or not?
If I'm not mistaken, that meeting is tomorrow.
I chuckled.
Of course, I need to prepare to meet this so-called fiancé of mine.
To Be Continued...
