I woke up due to the sound of my alarm and I shut it off using my hands. I stretched my body and a yawn escaped my mouth. I used my hand to search for my mate Rosalyn. I sighed heavily when I couldn't find her beside me. I wore my flip-flops which were just beside the bed.

I did my morning exercises and I walked into the bathroom with sweats dripping down my body. I brush my teeth and have my bath. I walk out of the bathroom with a towel tied around my manly frame. I dried my body and applied lotion on my body. I wore my clothes and walked out of the room toward the dining room. I arrived shortly at the dining room where Rosalyn was sitting on a chair and was unaware of my presence. I took deep breaths as I savored the smell of the food. I must admit that her food is really good. I cleared my throat as I took a seat beside her and she jumped away from the chair, landing her butt on the floor. She was startled and looked up, causing me to growl.

I was angry the moment I saw her land on her butt. I couldn't believe this was the same person I made Luna of this pack.

"So pathetic, are you that scared? Hun," I said with a smirk plastered on my face and she bowed her head in shame.

She stood up from the floor with her cheek turning red due to the embarrassment. She lowered her head and she avoided my gaze. I let out a sinister scoff and she shivered in her seat.

"Good morning, Ethan" she greeted and I groaned angrily and I glared daggers at her.

" I don't need your damn greeting, keep it to yourself" I replied and finished off the food quickly. I drank some water and walked out of the dining room toward the direction of my office.

I'm Ethan Archibald, a 24 years old man. I'm the Alpha of The Bright Wood Pack. I was made the Luna of this pack at the age of 23. My father died in a war against a neighboring pack which was also our rival pack. I have made so much progress in making the pack flourish due to Rosalyn's effort. She had been of great help to this pack and me on the whole.

I hate to admit that she has made the pack flourish more since the time she became Luna of this pack. I had promised myself not to fall in love with her but as time goes on I have come to love her. I didn't show my love to her because I believed she bewitched me into loving her. I made her life a living hell because I always find every opportunity to frustrate her. She was made to believe I hate her and cannot fall in love with her. I would have made her know about my feelings for her but I didn't because she is an Omega. I hate Omega's just because they are branded weak but she has changed my way of viewing since I made her the Luna of this pack and my mate. I was terrified when I found out she cannot give birth.

The pack's doctor told us she was infertile. I was heartbroken because I have always wished to have my pup with her. I have seemed so fond of her with the little time we spent together. I took out my anger and depression on her that night but she never told anyone and she continues trying to be perfect.

Then I fell in love with Elena, her best friend who I have always had an eye for. I first thought it was lust but I was wrong because I later realized my feelings for her. I kept being friends with her and then we became such close friends that a day could go by without us seeing each other. Our friendship blossomed and I told her my feelings at that time I had figured out that it was love I have for her and not lust. She accepted my proposal and told me she has always loved me since the day she set her eyes on me, which was the day I saved her from some rogues but she couldn't tell me because of her friendship with rice Rosalyn and that she values their friendship. She told me that she would have to inform you about her feelings. I told her I wish to have the children my mate can't give me and she was happy.

I ignored the greetings of the pack members as I walked into my office. I looked at Rosalyn's office which was just beside mine. She was not in there yet. I forgot I left her at home today and I groaned with a frown on my face.

I sat on the chair and I started going through the files on my table. I rested my head on the chair and I looked at her office and there she was working her ass out trying to be perfect for me. I smirked as I looked at her with my gaze lingering on her forehead. Sweat was dripping down her body and she buried her face in the files she was reading.

The ringing tone of my phone jolted me out of my thoughts and I stared at the screen angrily with a scowl on my face but it soon changed immediately after I saw who was calling. It was Elena and I couldn't help but smile happily. I had been expecting her call since morning but I was happy.

" Hello my beautiful angel," I said over the phone immediately after I picked up the call and I heard a giggle from the other side of the phone. My office was sound-proofed so I had no reason to fear that Rosalyn would hear. I had been fed up with our secret affair and told her to let her know of our affair, especially Rosalyn but she said it isn't time that she will tell me when the right time comes.

" Hello my handsome Alpha," she said over the phone and I rolled my eyes at how funny she is.

" How are you doing," I asked with a smile on my face.

"I'm fine." She said with a dramatic pause and I sighed immediately but I didn't interrupt.

" I want us to meet in the evening at our favorite spot, I have a surprise for you," she said happily and I smiled widely. This is the first time she will have a surprise for me but with her tone, it was good news.

"Okay, see you then. Take care, bye" I said.

"Bye," she replied.

"Why don't you disconnect the call," I asked and I could feel her rolling her eyes at me, making me giggle.

"Bye," she said with a laugh and disconnected the call.

A knock resounded on the door and I looked up only to meet the blue piercing eyes of Damon my Gamma and beside him was Samuel my beta. The door of my office was transparent so I was able to see them.

"Come in," I ordered and they came in.

" Good morning, Alpha" they both choruses in sync, and I almost laugh but I controlled myself.

"Good morning," I replied as I took another file for the table. They both sat down on the chair in front of me.

"Who gave you the permission to sit?" I asked but they ignored me, making me burn in anger.

" What brings you here?" I asked, looking unconcerned by their presence.

" We want to talk to you about our rival pack," Samuel said and I sat properly on the chair with my eyes on him. I was suddenly getting interested in their talk when he mentioned our pack's rival.

" What happened? " I questioned staring at him with wide eyes not allowing him to finish his sentence.

"I'm still coming to that" He replied and I stared at him as I tapped my hand on my table impatiently.

" Our rival pack seems to be making some moves which we haven't found out about yet," Damon said and I groaned angrily.

" They thought they could be the strongest pack in the United States. I will make sure they go down and our pack will be the strongest in the whole of this country. I will make sure of that" I said practically growling.

" Why did you bring incomplete information?" I asked, staring at them angrily and they stood up from their chairs abruptly.

"It was not my idea, it was Samuel's idea" Damon voices out already terrified.

"I just thought we should inform you about it, we would be on our way now" Samuel replied and he held Damon's clothes dragging him out of the office with him.

" Do you want to spoil my clothes?," Damon asked, stretching the heap of his clothes and I sighed heavily. Samuel closed the door behind me with a loud bang which made Rosalyn flinch. The sound produced by the door was loud but she was acting like a coward. She is a coward and how the hell did she think she can manage the position she was in. As Luna, she should have acted more mature and less terrified. It would have been better if it was Elena that was made the Luna of this pack.

My wolf growled at the thought of me making another wolf my mate and Luna. I would not have made her the Luna of this pack if not that I would not have been made the alpha of this pack. My dad always said my true mat would make me stronger than I should have been. It was all a lie because since I have made her the Luna of this pack and my mate nothing has changed.

My mind drifted to Elena and a smile broke on my face because we had been in an affair for so long and she has never bothered me to make her Luna of this pack, it would be better if I make her the Luna of this pack someday. She was the perfect vessel for Luna because most of the pack members seemed fond of her. I looked up and noticed it was time I and Elena agreed to meet. I left my office after locking the door. I looked at Rosalyn's office and noticed she was still working and not resting at all. If she thinks this will make me love her then she is joking because I have found the love of my life.

I walked into my house and changed into new clothes after having a hot shower. I walked into her room happily wanting to know the surprise she had for me. My whole body system was filled with anxiety and nervousness. I couldn't wait to hear her surprise.

There she was seated on the bed when I entered, she stood up and hugged me happily with smiles beaming from her face which got me wondering why she is this happy. She kissed my lip and I felt myself savoring the sweetness of her vanilla lips. Our tongues fought for dominance as we deepened the kiss and I fondled her butt making her moan and allowing me to explore her mouth. We pulled away from the kiss breathlessly.

"Good afternoon, Alpha" she greeted in a teasing manner with smiles beaming from her face that I feared her mouth would hurt her later.

"Why are you rolling your eyes, it's not like you are a girl," she said and I laughed. She is behaving childishly today and what could be the reason. I shrugged it off knowing she will tell me when it was time.

"Just tell me the surprise, you are making me more anxious," I said and she laughed.

" Here take," she said handing me an envelope which I collected from her. I opened the envelope and went through what was written inside but my anxiousness didn't make me read it carefully.

" I don't understand what is written in here" I replied and she laughed heartily.

" You should have read it carefully, anyways I'm pregnant," she said and I stared at her unable to process what she meant.

" I don't understand what you are saying, please can you repeat that " I stuttered and she stared at me in disbelief.

" I'm three weeks gone," she said again and I stared at her in shock. My whole body went limp. My mouth was open agape. I don't see this coming and I don't know how to react.

I was surprised by what she just said and I'm happy at the same time that I will be having a pup soon. All alpha's will want their pup to succeed them but my good for nothing mate can't even give me one. In just months she has gotten pregnant,this is really good.

"Ethan, what happened? Don't tell me you don't want it?" She asked at the brim of tears. I was surprised by her attitude because I wasn't expecting that from her. She was jovial before but she changed her attitude.

"It's not like that, I was just surprised because I wasn't expecting this" I replied with pleading eyes and I moved closer to her and buried my face in her neck. She pushed me away and I furrowed my brows as I stared at her in confusion.

"Tell me if you don't want it and I will abort it" she replied with her head bowed and my eyes shot toward her in surprise, how could she think of aborting the first seed of the alpha. I would have yelled at her but I couldn't because of her pregnancy. I calmed myself down before talking.

"You don't have to think like that. I didn't say that I won't take the responsibility of the child being mine. You will not abort the child." I said and she smiled at me.

"It's alright I won't abort the pregnancy as long as you are ready to take the responsibilities of the child" she said and I sighed heavily. Alicia could be frustrating sometimes but she is good and fun to be with.

I was happy that I made a good choice by choosing "I'm planning on making you the Luna of this pack," I said and her eyes went round with shock.

"What! you don't have to do that yet. Rosalyn is my best friend and for that I will not take away her Luna position" she said and I sighed heavily using my hands to scatter my hair all over my face. She is frustrating my life how can she tell me that.

I want to make her the Luna of this pack but she refuses just because she is friends with Rosalyn. She still thinks of her as her best friend but she wouldn't when she found out she is pregnant. I was happy that I will be getting an heir soon and no one will stop me from getting the heir.

"Elena, what are you saying? She will not consider you as her best friend if she knew you are pregnant for me" I said breathing heavily and she sighed with her hands placed on her chin.

"I know she will not consider me as a friend but she will if I begged her. She has the heart of gold and she easily forgive" she replied and I scoffed.

"Let's just forget about that and let's focus on you and my little boy" I said and she smiled at me.

"She is going to be a girl, trust me" she replied and I nodded even though I wanted a boy. I knew that she might overreact if I continue arguing with

"I'm wondering how Rosalyn would behave when she found out that I'm pregnant for you," Elena said with her head bowed.

"She would be shocked but that isn't my main concern, I'm happy that you have given me what I want" I started with a smile on my face. One would know I'm so happy right now and I couldn't help but imagine the look on my father's face when I relay the message to him.

"Tell me if this isn't a dream," I muttered as I stared at her and she smiled cutely and I couldn't help but feel myself falling for him more. I felt like she had just made my life complete.

"You aren't dreaming," she said and she leaned toward me, capturing my lips with hers. I could taste the lipstick she applied on her lips. Our tongues meet at intervals as we explore each other's mouths. A grin was formed on my face as we kissed passionately.

Soon we pulled away from the kiss and a smile broke on my face as I stared at her. My eyes went to her stomach and my hands flew toward her stomach instinctively. I placed my head on her stomach hoping to hear the movements of the baby.

"Thank you for making me the happiest man on earth," I said to her and she blushed with her head bowed.

I couldn't help but wonder why the moon goddess has to make me Rosalyn's mate. The moon goddess should have paired me with Elena instead of my good for nothing mate. I knew it was my decision to marry her and make her Luna of the pack, and that was because I wanted to become the alpha of this pack.

"My father would be happy to hear this, thank you for making me feel complete" I stated as I stared at her.

After a while I stood up to leave a with a on my face and I headed toward my house. My gaze was on the picture of me and Rosalyn on our wedding pictures, and I glared at it angrily. I was angry that they reminded me of my decision to marry her. I should have waited a little before I married her and this wouldn't have happened.

I regretted the day I made the decision to marry her and my face was filled with anger. I felt angry that I had to marry her. I felt angry that I made Luna out of this pack, and I had wished that I knew all this before and then I would have married Elena.

I felt hurt that the moon goddess gave me an infertile mate. The moon goddess should have known that all Alpha's want pup's, and there would be no successor for me if I was to be with Rosalyn for the rest of my life.

Rosalyn

I sighed for the umpteenth time as I shuffled the files on the table and I gazed at it but I still wasn't satisfied with that because I want to do more pack work to impress my mate who was the alpha of my pack while I'm the Luna of the pack.

I was exhausted but I didn't give up because my mate needed to get a better impression of me, he had to accept me as his mate fully. I will do whatever it takes to please my mate and I will never stop doing that.

' My name is Rosalyn Archibald, a 23 years old young lady and also the Luna of the Bright Wood Pack. I'm an Omega which is considered the weakest in the werewolf economy but we aren't weak like people taint us, the werewolf takes us as an outcast. I found out I'm an Omega when I first shifted at the age of 18. At first, I was sad that the Beta daughter of the pack was an Omega. I thought I would be a disgrace to my father but he supported and consoled me.

After that I thought of finding my other half, which was my mate, is what will make me complete but I was wrong because ever since I found out my mate is the soon-to-be alpha. He wanted to reject me but after two years when he saw he was not going to be made the alpha without a mate he won't be made the alpha of this pack. He grumpily made me the Luna of this pack and I couldn't help but feel happy that he accepted me after all my trials of showing how worthy I was but I knew he only did that for his own personal interest. I was still happy that I was his true mate and that he had no choice but to choose me as his mate. I once had a crush on him and the day I found out he was my mate I was extremely happy.

I tried all I could do to be a respectable Luna after he married me in front of the whole pack and my success paid off because after that the pack became more successful and we only have one rival to become the strongest pack in The United States. I was working towards making the pack the strongest in the whole country and I'm almost at the perk of making it more flourish than before.

My father is the Beta of the pack, he is kind-hearted but when it comes to things that concern our family he will go to any length to protect me even if it means going against his pack. My mother died when I was 16 years of age and she was killed by rogues. Since then I have sworn to protect my pack even with my last blood. She was a good mother and that was the reason my father didn't joke with his family. He has tried tracking down the rogues who killed my mother but they all ended up killing themselves or being poisoned.

It has been three years now since I have been mated to Ethan but I still haven't given birth. I was thinking of going to the pack's infirmary to do some check-ups and it pained me dearly to know I haven't given birth. That is enough for now as time goes on more information will be disseminated '

I looked at the watch which was hanging on the wall of my office and a gasp left my mouth immediately when I remembered I still have a lot of things to do at home. I was exhausted already but I had to do the tons of work that was awaiting me at home. I knew Zara would have helped me with most of my house chores and it was like a burden was lifted from my shoulders. There will be less work and I will have time to prepare food for my mate Ethan. Zara is my personal maid, she is like a mother to me. She has been there for me since my mother died, she is 40 years old. She used to serve me and I forgot that she would have helped me with the chores.

Elena is my best friend apart from Zara who was my closest best friend, we did things together. She was an amazing best friend I could ever want and I always pray our friendship blooms more because I'm now fond of her. I have taken her to the sister my mum never gave birth to. I had always wanted a little sister but it was ruined by those damn rogues and I will make them pay even if it is the last thing I would do on earth.

I clenched my hand as I felt the anger in me rise and my knuckles turned white. I breathed heavily as I tried to control my ragged breathing and I was calmed after a while.

Standing up from the chair after packing the files which I was done with today in the shelve behind me after I was done opening the shelve and I walked out of the office after placing the files on the shelf and locking it with the key in my hands.

I looked at Ethan's office which was beside mine and saw he was not in the office. He might have gone to check out some things because he doesn't usually go home early.

I walked towards our house which was built beside the pack house and I climbed the flight of stairs. Soon I was in the sitting room and my eyes widened in shock with the sight I saw here in the sitting room was Ethan who was seated on the cushion staring at the air. He was rarely home early but today seems different and I couldn't help but be happy. He might have changed and with that, I walked up to him.

"Good afternoon, Ethan" I greeted him, bowing slightly but it seemed that his mind had wandered off. The happiness in me vanished immediately and was replaced by worry, he is never like this even if there is a big pressing issue. I made up my mind to help him any way I could if that will make me get closer to him, he had promised not to fall in love with me and I pray he does.

"Ethan," I called, tapping him and he jolted out of his thoughts, staring at me and I sighed heavily.

" What's making you space out, I have been calling you since. What is the matter?" I asked, staring at him intensely and he rolled his eyes.

"Nevermind," he said and I felt hurt but decided not to show it to him. He is still cold like when we married, he doesn't give any room for romance or any other things. Even when he had sex with me he did it grumpily saying he wants an heir but I haven't given him any yet.

"You know you can tell me anything and I will try my best to find any possible solution" I replied to him wholeheartedly and he smirked.

" It's nothing you should worry about" he half yelled and I shifted back nervously. I sighed heavily shrugging it off knowing he wouldn't tell me even if I kept being persistent.

"What would you like to eat?" I asked happily, staring at him and he sighed heavily.

" I have something important to tell you" he replied ignoring my question and I felt happy knowing he wanted to tell me what was on his mind. I was happy that he trusts me and soon our relationship will bloom.

" I will soon be receiving an heir," he said and I stared at him confusedly.

"Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about" he yelled and my heart skipped a beat as I stared at him.

"Ethan, I don't understand what you are talking about" I replied and he laughed.

" Elena is pregnant for me, she is giving me the heir you couldn't give me," he said and I rolled my eyes.

"You don't have to act like that. I trust Elena she wouldn't do a thing like that" I said and smirked at me.

" You trust her, hun. She is pregnant with the heir you couldn't give me" he replied and I fell to the floor with my butt hitting the ground. My whole world seemed to crumble at that moment and all I could do was stare at him, my eyes glazed over and I fought hard to stay awake.

Tears streamed down my face as I thought of that and my wolf was howling in pain. It was as if I was rejected with the pain coupled together.

" You don't need to shed crocodile tears. I know you only care about your Luna position. She was lenient toward you because you were her best friend and I promised her not to collect your Luna. She is kind and doesn't want to hurt you. That's why your Luna position wouldn't be taken away right now but it may be taken when she gave birth" He said and I cried more holding my heart.

This was more than I can take in. I was not mentally prepared for this, why must it be me. Haven't I had enough, my mother died while I was 18 years of age and I was an Omega. Now my mate impregnated my best friend, this world is too cruel. I can't believe I'm passing through all this ordeal.

" I would tell the pack her identity as the mother of my son," he said and I smiled painfully, he strongly believes that she will give birth to a boy.

Tears gathered in my eyes as I tried to shake the feeling off my mind. I felt betrayed that my mate had impregnated my best friend. "You must be warned that you should not hurt her in any way because if anything happens to her or my unborn child. You will pay dearly for that or with your life. I know you are too desperate to be my mate and Luna, mark my words" he threatened with a growl and I gasped at how cruel he is.
