Chapter 1

Princess Aurora

Hi my name is Aurora and I'm the youngest child of the Louise family from kingdom Arran which means very wealthy.

My kingdom is known as one of the most powerful and wealthy kingdoms.

I should be happy right but I'm not at all.

The only thing that makes me happy here is talking to my sister. She also hates this life too but unlike me she tries to find something good out of it but I can't.

I'm 20 years old and my sister princess Karin is 22 , while my brother prince Albert is 24.

That makes me the youngest princess and I'm the one that has the highest bodyguard out of my siblings.

My father king Roland will do anything possible just to make sure his Kingdom expands. My father is the definition of a selfish person and that's where my elder brother got it from.

In the eyes of other people and the paparazzi he's a good man who gives charity and donates a lot of money for the well being of the people but we all know that it's just to get more fame and make other kingdoms want to join with ours.

My mother on the other hand, Queen Anastasia, was the exact definition of me.

Very quiet, humble and loving. I love her so much that she's the person I tell my problems too If Karin isn't there.

My father may be a jerk but when he's in front of my mother he's a completely different person.

It's like my mother has a way of taming him and sometimes I love to watch how loving my father can be.

Now I'm sitting in my room even though I have woken up earlier than usual.

I heard a knock and I knew who it would be, my maid Mary.

"Come in Mary," I said tiredly, looking outside the window..

"Good morning my princess," Mary replied.

The title princess I hated but if my father dares to find out that someone addresses me as Aurora he will go insane and I can't imagine what that person will go through.

"My princess, it's time for your bath", she said bowing down.

I sighed as I looked at Mary,

"Mary"

"Yes my princess,"

"What's my schedule for today?" I asked politely

"After breakfast, you have horse reading and politics lessons."

I sigh as I hate it so much.

I got out of bed as I went into the bathroom to take my bath.

After I was done Mary brought out a sundress gown for me as I wore it and went downstairs for breakfast with my family.

Not without my bodyguard following me.

"Good morning father"

"Good morning mother." I greeted bowing my head down with a little curty

My father just nodded as he stared at his phone.

"Did you sleep well? " my mother asked.

"Yes mom." I lied

I took my seat close to my sister as I smiled at her.

"Prince Ramon has returned back from America."

My father said and I almost choked on my own food.

"He will be visiting us tomorrow and we are planning on throwing a ball for him tomorrow night."

I continued eating,but my mind was loud.

Why must he be here?

Why must he come back?

That jerk.

A useless human being.

I wanted to scream but I held myself back as I followed the rule of the habit at the dining table.

"Aurora," my father called

"Yes father". I answered

"I want you to get closer to him okay".

"Yes father".

"I have a meeting now so I'll see you guys during dinner".

With that my father stood up and walked away then my brother followed him too

"I think I'll be in my bedroom," my mother said leaving the room.

Leaving Karin and I.

Karin pulled my hands and dragged me to my room.

"What was that for?" I whispered yelled

"I wanted to talk to you privately".

"You could have done it there".

"When the guards are there".

"Ok what's it." I said I was a little bit annoyed.

"Don't you find it weird, Aurora". Karin said making me look at her confused

"Find what weird".

"We all know that Prince Roman doesn't arrive by this time".

"True", I said, agreeing with what she's saying.

"Now dad is saying that you should get closer to him.

Isn't that suspicious."

"No," I said.

"I have a feeling that dad is up to something".

At first I was doubting what she said but I knew that Karin would never lie to me.

"So what's your deal Karin?".

"I don't know but I just feel Prince Roman coming home during this season is just weird".

I just sighed.

"I hate my life Karin", I said.

"Me too".

"I just want to be a normal person who just wants to explore the world Karin".

"I know aurora, but instead of looking at it that way, look at it as if you can find something good about being a princess."

"I tried Karin, I tried but I just can't.

I'm not like you, Karin."

"It's okay Aurora.

Maybe one day dad will let us see the outside world."

I sigh as I know that it's not possible.

"Princess Aurora, it's time for your horse riding." One of the maids informed me.

I stood up

"You want me to join you", Karin said.

"Really", I said smiling.

"Yeah I mean my schedule today is free you know".

"Thanks Karin".

I hugged my sister , if not for her I would have run mad in this palace I call home.

Karin And I went horse riding together and I was over the moon because Karin is just the definition of a joy giver.

Whenever I'm around her she makes me happy .

After horse riding she followed me too and had a politics lesson. Any time Karin is with me during politics we always argue which makes it fun.

My teacher will always sit and watch us argue before telling us whose correct .

But Karin always wins because she's super, super brilliant.

After that I went to my room with Karin.

We talked a lot and we browsed a lot about the outside world.

We talked about where we would love to go.

This is the reason Karin is my favourite.

"Aurora, let's play chess".

"If my father ever finds out we bought a chess board he'll explode on us. That's to show how strict he is".

I brought it out from under my bed while Karin ran to lock the doors.

We played for hours and it was so fun.

"Thank you Karin" I said

"No need for that".

"I wonder what I would have become if you weren't my sister".

"Maybe you would have committed suicide ", Karin joked.

"Exactly".

I and Karin talked about other things like some jerk prince and princess.

When it comes to that Karin knows a lot and hates them all.

We spent the next two hours having fun till I heard a knock on my door.

"Princess Aurora and Princess Karin, your parents call for you."

One of the guards said through the door.

"Why?"

I looked at Karin,

"Silly it's time for dinner".

"O " I muttered.

During dinner my father kept talking about Prince Roman and his family. How he will be a great help if our kingdom joins together.

"What do you think aurora,"

My father said,

Why me, he should have asked my brother.

I smiled and answer,

"It would be great father,"

"Good."

I looked at Karin who looked at me with an open eye I understand.

Something is definitely fishy.

"Aurora,"

"Yes father."

"I'll cancel all your schedule tomorrow and I want you and Prince Roman to spend time together".

I just nodded.

After dinner I went to my room not before Karin whispered to my ear .

"Something is fishy."

Chapter 2

Princess Aurora

I woke up as usual earlier than usual. I sighed as I remembered that today I had to meet Prince Roman.

Prince Roman family was like our family's closest friend. Have known him for more than 4 years and I hated him.

In front of my parents he acts like a responsible and mature person but if they knew the demon inside him they'd never want to be close to him.

The worst part was that he and my brother are best friend, well they fit each other because he was just as selfish as my brother

The only people that knew the real Prince Roman were I and Karin, well my mother doesn't really like him but she never shows it.

I waited for my maid to come.

"Good morning my princess,"

Here's the title again if my parents knew how much I hated that stupid title.

She helped me with my bath and my dress.

I went downstairs for breakfast and my dad kept reminding me how I should behave with Prince Roman and I felt like throwing up hearing it.

I didn't have time to talk to Karin because she was really busy with her duty and taking care of mine.

Now I'm in the garden sipping my cup of tea when I heard that annoying voice.

I turned around and saw Prince Roman with a smile on his face.

I faked a smile as if I was happy to see him.

"Good morning princess Aurora", he said.

"Good morning prince Roman "

"How are you?"

"I'm fine thank you prince Roman "

"Can you walk with me?"he said, bringing out his hand as if he was a gentleman.

I really wanted to decline but I just had to for the sake of my father.

"Yeah sure", I said, dropping my cup of tea on the table beside me and taking his hand.

I wouldn't deny the fact that prince Roman was handsome and seeing him now he looks more handsome than before.

He grew a little bit taller and I noticed his hair grew too and he added a little bit more weight.

He has the perfect body but a useless and annoying character. He's good looking on the outside but ugly on the inside.

"So princess Aurora, how has your training been going?"

"It has been well prince Roman "

"If I may ask why did you come back so early, I mean you don't come by this time."

He smiled before he said,

"I came because of you, my lady."

Ohh please, don't act as if you actually care about me, I said In my mind

"I see," I said, trying hard not to roll my eyes.

"But don't worry you'll soon be mine" .

"Excuse me",

I stopped my track as I faced him,

"You heard me princess one day you'll be marrying me "

I let out a dry laugh as I said to him.

"Even if you are the last person on this earth I'll never marry you."

With that he grabbed my hand harshly as he pulled me closer to him.

"I won't let you disrespect me like that princess".

"Let go of me".

"When we get married I'll treat your fuck up and childish behavior". He spat angrily

" Say's who the childish one" I said.

He held my wrist tighter.

"Don't test me princess ", with that he let go of my hand.

Yes, this is who he is.

Well, this isn't the first time he has done this to me at all.

Then he leaned down before he pecked my cheeks as I felt disgusted.

"Behave well daddy watching now". He whispered in my ear

I had to put on a fake smile as I started to pretend as if he said something funny.

After what seems like forever the maid came to inform us that my dad wants to have lunch with everyone.

Prince Roman and I made our way to the dining table. While I sat between Karin and my mom, my dad, Roman and my brother sat opposite us.

Dinner didn't go as planned.

Prince Roman kept flirting with my sister and I could see the anger in Karin's eyes.

"So Karin ", Prince Roman said,

"Aren't you going to get married? I mean you need a prince because you're getting old."

Karin smiled before she said.

"I would say the same thing to you since you're the same age as my brother".

I could see that stupid smirk on his face falling.

Now it was Karin's turn to smile.

"Karin", my dad said.

"You won't speak to prince Roman like that".

But Karin didn't even bother looking at my dad.

"Prince duke why did you come back because it's unusual for you to come by this time". Karin said.

"Ohh I came because of princess Aurora." He replied with the smirk on his face returning as he looked at me.

"Or because you got bored and they kicked your ass out of there because of your arrogance and use–"

"Karin," my dad shouted cutting her up

I couldn't hold my laugh anymore as I burst into laughter.

Same as Karin.

I looked at prince Roman and I could see the anger visible on his face.

One thing about Karin is that she doesn't hide herself which makes her dad's least favourite child.

While I am the obedient and quiet one , I never complain but just follow my dad's instructions making me his favourite child.

When my eyes met my dad the anger was visible.

"Apologise,"

I looked at Karin, but she didn't say anything.

Karin is so strong headed that she hardly listens to my dad and they are always on each other's throat.

Then my brother said,

"You should have just been a maid in this palace because having an arrogant sister that doesn't have respect is a shame to me."

Before my mom could say anything Karin beat her to it.

"It's a shame and a disgrace to call a selfish brother like you who would even sacrifice his own sister's happiness for what he wants."

You see Karin and my brother Albert had a history between them so they basically hate each other.

"You are a disgrace to me Albert." She spat looking at my brother disgusted.

"Like father like son I can see where you took your selfish act from." She continued.

Slap.

I was too shocked when I saw my dad hit Karin on the cheeks.

"You would not speak to your elder brother like that".

Karin looked at my dad and I could see the hatred in her eyes.

I looked at my mom who looked shocked.

Karin Just stood up and walked away and I knew that she's in her room.

"Roland", my mom called him.

"You are unbelievable" with that she walked away.

I stood up as I was about to go after Karin and my dad called me back.

"Sit,"

Me being me I obeyed my dad and I looked at my brother who was happy smiling and a stupid smirk on Prince Roman's face.

But as I looked at my dad he looked a little bit shocked but was quick to cover it.

"Prince Roman I'm sorry for what had happened but please go home and prepare for the ball this evening."

He stood up and my senior brother followed him.

Now it was now me and my dad.

"Was that too much, " my dad asked.

And I couldn't help but nod my head.

He sighed,

"Guards" he called,

"Make sure you guard princess Karin's room and don't let her out till I say so. She won't be attending the ball tonight and no food or water should be given to her and no one is allowed inside the room."

With that my dad stood up and walked away.

Minutes later I heard my dad and mom's voice and I knew they were arguing.

I saw my mom come out with some clothes.

"Aurora " she called.

"If you're looking for me I'll be in my new guest room."

I just nodded.

Great,

All this is because of prince Roman

I went upstairs as I stood in front of Karin's room.

"We're sorry princess but no one can enter the king's order".

I sighed as I walked back to my room.

I miss Karin.

RUNNING AWAY

As I walked into my room all what happened in the dinning table kept replaying in my head.

I never thought that my dad will ever raise his hands on my sister. I feel for Karin , I know she may act as if it doesn't bother her at all.

But deep down I know she's really hurt and surprised by my dad's actions.

I sighed as I walked to the balcony of my room.

I wish I was in Karin's shoes so that I won't be able to attend the ball at all.

This will be the first ball I won't be able to attend a ball with Karin and it's going to be the worst because I can feel it.

I don't know why my dad is throwing a ball party for prince Ramon.

If they are supposed to celebrate his return then it should be his family not mine.

I stared at the grass below me.

I wish I was not born Into royalty, I wish I was just a normal person who won't go through all this.

I hate to admit it but living in a place where you know nothing of things that happens outside it's the worst feeling ever.

My father's thinks I'm happy being a princess because I've never complained or disobeyed his order.

My mom already noticed but she decided to keep quite about it.

I sighed as I watch as the sun set down.

In any minute from now the maids will start knocking at my door to help me get ready for the ball.

I hate crowded place so much but even if I complain to my dad it doesn't change the fact that I'm going to attend the ball.

I went back to my bed and brought out my phone to message Karin.

"Hey, Karin, are you alright?"

"Yeah why not" she texted back.

But I knew it was all lies because i know Karin, her eyes would have been puffy from all the crying.

As I was about to call her , a knock was heard on my door and I knew that they were here to get me ready .

"Come in," I said.

As they went to bathroom to prepare a bath for me.

I went to the closet to change to my blue robe.

Immediately I was done. I went to the bathroom and I sank myself in the bathtub.

It felt refreshing that I didn't want to come out again. But then the maid came to help me wash my body before raising all the soap away.

I took a towel and cleaned all the water from my body before putting on my robe again.

Then I went to take my sit in the bathroom for them to wash my hair.

It took 30 minutes before I went back to my room.

I sat in front of my mirror as they started to dry my hair.

After they were done with my hair they started doing whatever magic they did on my hair.

After they were done , as usual my makeup artist knows that I always like light make-up.

After they were done a knock was heard on the door.

Mary went to get it and there was big box .

As she opened it ,it was a beautiful red ball gown with stones on it.

If it was someone in my shoes , I'm sure they would be screaming with so much excitement but I just stared at it with so much boredom in my eyes.

I would admit that the gown was really beautiful but I was used to getting expensive things from my dad because I'm his favorite.

As I went to the closet to dress and when I came out as I looked at my self in the mirror I wouldn't deny the fact that I was really beautiful.

After I was done with my dressing I told my maid to help me take a picture so that I can send it to Karin.

After the picture was taken I sent it to Karin and she immediately called me.

She kept on complementing how beautiful I was and it made me smile a little bit.

"I wish you were here with me Karin", I whispered.

But met with silence,

"I wish too but always remember even if I'm not with you my spirit is always following me".

It made me laugh a little.

I quickly bid her goodbye when I was informed by my bodyguard it was time.

I took a deep breath as I went to where my parents where waiting for me.

As they announced the king and the queen my mom and dad went and took my sit.

Then my brother was called and he went .

Now I was really nervous but when my name was called I took a deep breath before the door was opened for me.

I walked as I could see young princes where staring at me and some of the princess where giving envy and jealousy eyes.

I ignored them as I went and took my seat.

There were so many royal families and it almost made me want to puke.

As my father was announcing the reason for the ball honestly if I say I was listening I'm probably lying to you.

My mind was somewhere far away from here.

Immediately my dad introduced Roman's family.

I stood up from my seat as my mom and brother went to greet them with some other royal families.

I heard to put a fake smile on my face as if I was enjoying it.

"Princess Aurora",

I turned around and saw prince Roman smiling at me.

"You look beautiful",

He said and I just smiled,

"Thank you prince Ramon".

"There's no violence here because Princess Karin isn't here".

I swear I really wanted to punch that pretty face of him.

But I just had to hold myself with a fake smile.

"It's a great honor to be back home". He said

I didn't even answer as I was looking around seeing my parents greeting other royalty's.

"Will you have a dance with me, Princess Aurora?"

I really wanted to decline it but I has no choice but to accept it.

"It would be an honor for prince Ramon," I said bowing a little.

He led me to the middle of the ball room as he pulled me close to him.

His hand went to my waist as I wrapped my hands around his neck.

As we danced I noticed it was only the both of us dancing as other royalties stood staring at us.

Strange right?

Prince Roman kept staring directly in my eyes and I tried to look somewhere else to distract myself from him.

"I can't wait to have you princess".

I frowned at that statement, not liking it at all.

"What do you mean?"

"Don't worry you'll find out very soon".

Then he held my waist tighter and pulled me closer to him.

I really wanted to use my heels to step on his leg and walk away but I couldn't embarass my dad because the paparazzi where everywhere and that's the last thing I'll want to do.

Finally the music came to an end and I quickly unwrapped my hands from him as I pulled away.

But what shocked me was when prince Roman kissed my cheek.

Ewww,

I almost said that loud.

I looked and saw the glare that some girls where giving me.

Seriously, I wish you could be in my position right now.

Immediately after the dance I went and stood close to my dad.

Then my dad took the mic.

"Can I get everyone's attention please?"

"Today I gathered everyone here for an important announcement.

Can everyone raise their glass?" He said, raising his glass of wine.

A waiter came to me as I took a glass of red wine.

"Today we'll celebrate a special day."

The next word my dad said made my glass of wine fall from my hand.

"Today we will be celebrating the engagement of prince Roman and my lovely daughter princess Aurora."
