Yule said after she draw her ice crystal sword and pointed at Eros.

Regardless of her damaged body. Her energy radiated throughout the field. Her fiery blue eyes are fixed on Eros, and you can see her rage. He causes havoc in the kingdom and many individuals were killed while struggling to fight for their life.

Due to Yule's injuries, the demon cannot move, not even a flick of a finger.

All troops who fought Eros and his demon hordes have been severely injured, including the Captain.

Demon ravage/hordes: any kind of monster that a demon has summoned.

"I guess it's in your nature to wreak havoc, and now your time has finally arrived," she said.

The demon begins speaking the demonic language.

Yule is well aware of it. she stared the demon and give a cold expression. The devil smirks, and you can feel the desire to murder devastation, and anguish in his crimson eyes.

Before she stabs him the ice crystal sword.

"Arrrrggghhhh!! You bitch!!" Suddenly emerge in front of her. Eris is the Chaos Princess. Eros's sister.

"Captain!!" Jack yelled at Yule to warn her of Eris's impending onslaught. As Eris prepares to attack her with her black crystal blade.

However, before the blade strikes her armor, she produces her immense aura and force to stop the blade, causing it to disperse all over the place. Yule widens her eyes as she sees an entrance to stab Eros.

She pierced the demon's heart with her ice crystal sword right away. Causing him to die, but then Yule notices Eris touching her chest. They made eye contact with one another. Yule can see Eris's rage and malice in her crimson eyes. But Yule's determination to preserve the Kingdom and its people is even greater.

(You were going to perish and never return. You murdered my brother and now paying the price with your life...) Eris speaks in a demonic language. stared at Yule, smirking while tears falls down in her face.

She then snatches his brother and vanishes, leaving just her ice crystal sword behind.

"Captain! We won!" Annah said full of tears. They were truly injured because of the berserker demon Eros.

"Captain. We shall celebrate our victory. You just saved the world!" Leo said and causes the other holy knight and mages to start shouting victory

But Yule remained where she was, staring at the spot where she had pierced her sword to Eros. Her sword is gradually fading. She stared at it so intently that all of her squad members began to realize something was amiss.

"Captain?" Annah started to walk towards yule

But before Annah reaches yule.

...She collapsed.

Her squad members panicked as she fainted. She's coughing up blood, suffers from severe internal injuries because of the fight with Eros and the demon ravage.

"Captain! Please hold on." Annah spoke forward, and she began doing healing magic. Yule is surrounded by healing magic circles that are working to repair her wounds and internal ailments. However, the magic appears to not affect her.

"Aaaarrrghhhh!" Yule is in excruciating pain, shouting, as she touches her chest.

"In her chest, hurry Annah!" Elijah shouted, Annah instantly opened her armor to inspect her chest.

And it was then that they discovered the small black crystal strewn throughout her chest and beginning to spread in her veins.

Annah instantly placed her palm on top of her chest and incanted a healing spell. However, it does not appear to have any impact. Yule is trying to cope with the amount of anguish she is experiencing.

Annah started crying and panicking.

"It doesn't seem to have an effect! her body is not responding to my magic!" she shouted.

"Jack! Elijah! What shall we do?" Annah said. Eli holds Yule's hand

"Just keep trying, Damn it!" Jack shouted.

"Yule, don't leave us behind, okay? hold on! just hold on!." he said while the tears fall on his face.

Yule's POV

It's...

...cold.

...I never knew that I can feel this kind of cold.

....Everyone is crying

... I can hear them.

"It doesn't seem to have an effect! her body is not responding to the magic!"

"Jack! Elijah! What shall we do?"

"Just keep trying, Damn it!

"Yule, don't leave us behind, okay? hold on! just hold on!."

...Is this the end for me?

... I haven't lived my life to the fullest.

... I saved the world from that Demon.

... I killed him.

But at the same time. I was going to die.

Not that I'm afraid. It's just that...

... I can't fulfill my dreams for myself anymore.

After that day. The city of Tulip, the capital of Solstice left like a ghost town. The buildings and houses are damaged and all burned down.

The news spread inside and outside of the Kingdom. All people mourned the death of the hero.

....Yule McGregor

A year later. the Capital city of Tulip is slowly recovering from the damage that happened a year ago by the help of the neighboring kingdom who give them assistance.

All the people started to work together for the improvement of the city. All go back to normal since then.

"The city continues to prosper. The kingdom is more peaceful isn't it, Captain?" Annah said to the newly appointed Captain of the "Holy Archmage knight of Solstice"

"If Yule is here, it would be so much peaceful." As he sighs, smiles and stared at the wind.

'And I wish that I got to say what I wanted to say...If there's a way to have you back. I want to do it... I'll do it to see you smile again. whatever it causes, even my life.' he said it to himself

Elijah is the new Captain of the "Holy Archmage Knight of Solstice". He now takes the responsibilities of the former Captain.

"I'm sure, it is more peaceful where Yule is. I hope she's happy." Annah said. the feeling of loss has not yet disappeared.

~~[GATHER.]~~ Eli said to command all of her squad using telepathy communication magic.

After he said that. One by one, the squad appears in front of him.

"Captain!" Said all of the members of Holy Archmage Knights.

The Holy Archmage Knights have 5 members including the Captain. They're:

Elijah Chestre: Current Captain of HAK

He's known as 'The fire God'. He can compare to the former Captain at the mana and abilities.

Annah Swindleheart: The Healer

Her magic can heal any injuries and diseases. She's necessary to every mission.

Jack Whitlock: The attacker

His magic is a combination of fire and wind. He's the most powerful when it comes to physical abilities.

Leo Wixx: The Marionette Master

Using earth, fire, wind, and water elements, he can make golems.

Yule McGregor: The former Captain of HAK

She's known as 'The Ice Queen'. She is gifted with overflowing mana and controls her magic well.

On the 1st death anniversary of Yule McGregor. King Nicolas and Queen Dorothy established and dedicate the University of magic, to Honor the death of the former Captain of HAK.

Anyone who is gifted with skills or mana can go to this university. It is called 'The McGregor University of Magic" where the member of HAK is the one who manages the university.

They plan to teach all the people who have a gift of mana and to train the person who has the skills and abilities to fight and be one of the mages or become a Knight of the Kingdom.

"Yes! It's been 10 years but the Masters including their captain doesn't seem to age."

"Hey! Don't you know? 11 years ago, they fought a demon, and the former Captain died in the fight. This university is dedicated to her. She's our savior! She's my hero ooh! And FYI, the King gifted them with youth. I mean... that's why they appear so youthful despite their real age."

"That's because you didn't participate in the last lecture."

The mighty Kingdom of Solstice is one of the most resource-rich and powerful kingdoms in the world. Solstice is renowned for its hospitality and abundance, and the Kingdom was ruled by King Nicolas and Queen Dorothy. The King and Queen are all adored by their people for the way they look after the Kingdom.

The Kingdom of Solstice is powerful due to its defense; Its knights and mages have all been educated to safeguard the kingdom from any attacks. The Holy Archmage Knights are in charge of the Kingdom's defense.

Yule McGregor is the captain of HAK, the one in charge of keeping the kingdom secure, the most powerful in the kingdom, and a role model to everyone. Yule McGregor leads HAK, which comprises Elijah Chestre, Jack Whitlock, Leo Wixx, and Annah Swindleheart. Other Kingdoms seek to make them an ally since interfering with their Kingdom would be disastrous for them.

All of the Kingdoms must go to a location known as 'Bronzeshear.' This location has no owner, and no kingdom can seize it. It's not because they can't, but because it's against the rules. That is why it is the ideal location for the world peace treaty since it prevents partiality.

The world peace treaty eliminates disagreements, wars, and conflicts between kingdoms. Every two years, the world peace treaty must be conducted at Bronzeshear to discuss all of the Kingdom's problems, as well as an opportunity to create an alliance and do business throughout the Kingdoms.

The people of Solstice are busy decorating in preparation for the arrival of the King and the Holy Archmage Knights. They will return to the Kingdom from Bronzeshear since the world peace treaty was held there two months ago, and now, it's time for them to return.

The Kingdom, particularly the royal capital city of Solstice, is as vibrant as ever, the people have scattered around, enjoying the festivals, the markets, and other exciting activities. The King and the Holy Archmage Knights are expected to arrive.

"I'm glad the King will be back."

"Yes! I'm thankful they're going back safely."

"Of course, the HAK is the one guarding his highness throughout their travel, so the King is safe in the hands of Yule."

"The world peace treaty went fine, I'm glad no other Kingdom wants to conquer us or have a dispute in our kingdom."

The citizens are constantly chatting about the King and HAK, and even the children are getting enthusiastic about their arrival.

"Yule McGregor!!!"

"Yes, I want to be like her someday."

"A hero!"

"When I grow up, I will marry Yule."

"No! I'm the one who'll marry her!!!"

"what? but you're a girl. how can you marry her?"

"I don't care, I'll marry her someday!"

"No! Yule is mine, if you want, you can marry master Elijah."

"No! I want Yule!"

When they heard the bell ring, the Kingdom began to become more agitated. It only signifies they've arrived in the kingdom.

Yule and the other members of HAK are riding the horse that is leading the carriage carrying the King. Because the roads are congested, the Knights are stationed along them to ensure that no one interferes with the carriages.

All of the civilians are waving and chanting their names, and Yule smiled sincerely as she saw everyone's joy and delight as they arrived in the kingdom. All the innocent children are waving at them, so she smiled and waved back.

"Looks like they simply waited for you and purposely ignored us," Eli chuckled, and Yule grinned back.

"Of course, what do you expect from the famous captain?" she laughed. "I just want to rest in my bed all day; riding this horse hurts my back."

"That's because you didn't ride the horse appropriately; I told you, you could ride with me, but you keep refusing," Eli said and take away his gaze from Yule. "So hardheaded..." he mumbles to himself.

"That would be humiliating, I'm the captain but can't ride a horse properly?" she remarked, looking around at the faces of the citizen. her demeanor suddenly becomes serious "Eli, remember the smiles and happiness on their faces; this tranquility will not last forever; we must safeguard them, their smiles and happiness."

Eli shifted his focus to her, enjoying her beauty and caring about the others. 'Was it self-centered of me to say I only cared about one person?' he murmured to himself while observing her, the wind softly blowing her Silvery-White long hair, fair skin shimmering through the sunlight, and her frigid blue eyes flashing like it can see into your soul

"Ahem! Elijah, pay attention to the road," Jack muttered behind his back. Eli gave him a sour look, and he immediately averted his gaze.

They will soon arrive at the royal palace, when Yule notices a weeping kid. She instantly comes down and comes to a halt on her horse. putting a stop to the carriage and the other members

"What's wrong, Yule?" Eli asks, but she gives him a "Wait a minute" look.

Yule walks towards the child who's crying.

"Hey! what's wrong? are you harmed somewhere?" she inquires. The child's eyes widened as he realized the person in front of her was the captain of HAK. He screams louder because of happiness.

"H-hey, what's wrong?" she worriedly asks again.

"B-because I can't become a hero like you." the boy said and tried to wipe his tears.

"and who said that?" she ask and felt bad for the kid.

"My friends claimed I couldn't become captain since my magic wasn't Ice and wasn't as strong as yours," the youngster explained.

"Oh, is that right? Then tell your buddies they're wrong," she murmured to the boy, wiping his tears. "Even if your magic was not Ice, you can be a captain. you've gonna prove them wrong"

"But I can't be like you. I want to be like you" he sadly said, Yule let a sigh.

"As I said, you can be a captain even if your magic isn't Ice," she continued, wiping his tears away, "you're still a youngster, you have more room to grow and train till you are stronger. maybe you'll surpass me one day."

Yule level down to match the height of the boy.

"You are a hero to yourself, remember that. You are a nice youngster, you have hopes, dreams, and power within you, and I hope to see you take the title of HAK captain one day," she remarked. widens the boy's and everyone else's eyes who can hear them The kid has stopped weeping.

"Am I capable?" he asks widening Yule's eyes, she smiled and gently pinches his chubby cheeks.

"Of course you are. even if you don't have magic, you can become someone amazing. and it all starts within yourself," Yule stated as she stood up. "Believe in yourself, I hope we'll be able to collaborate when you're older and stronger."

Yule smiled at the boy, patted his head and rushed up to her horse. Because of what Yule stated, the youngster was too astonished to speak. leaving an amazed look in his eyes.

"Was there a problem?" Eli asks worriedly.

"Nothing, Let's go. hyah!" she said and starts to get moving.

When they returned to the Kingdom, everything returned to normal. because it has been two months since Yule has been unable to complete her duties in the Kingdom, and her work has collected and piled up on her desk and are unable to rest. Eli suddenly entered her office, which startled her.

"Captain, is there something wrong?" Eli asks, when he noticed her stress.

"Eli, I said you can call me Yule. drop the formalities," she said without looking and with an exhausted tone in her voice while silently reading documents.

"But I want to call you that way to show my respect," Eli said and sit down at the edge of her desk, looking at her genuinely.

"Well don't, you don't have to. I'd prefer to be called Yule," she said. look at him and stand up, pick up the documents that needed a review, and give them to Eli. "Help me, it looks like you have some free time."

"what? I just came by--" Eli said while holding a lot of documents but she cut what he was saying.

"No excuses, you came here because you didn't have anything to do, so I offer you something to do," she stated and patted his shoulder, and returned to her chair.

"No--Fine. at least command Jack to help you too." Eli said. Yule look at him

"I summoned him to the northern border to remedy something for me," she explained. as well as did a doodle on the paper.

"Fine," Eli responded as he walked out of her office. He grinned as he walked away, holding all of the paperwork that needed to be completed.

Yule lay down on the sofa to rest for a moment. she gave him all of her paperwork and chuckled.

"Idiot." she mumbled as she closed her eyes.

The King summons Yule to go to the Kingdom of Equinox, King Nicolas and King Gustavo have a good relationship with each other. she summons Yule to deliver some really important documents. Eli assisted her in the journey.

But while they're gone. The Kingdom of Solstice was in chaos because of the demon. the city capital was the most affected. Hordes are everywhere to cause destruction to the homes of civilians. casualties are increasing.

Hordes/ravages: any monster that the demon has summoned.

The elderly and children were most likely to perish in the horde's onslaught, with Knights and mages doing everything they could to protect citizens and evacuate them as much as possible.

Yule and Eli are completely unaware of what is going on in their kingdom. However, before they reach Equinox's boundary, they get a message from Leo. he sends one of his golems to find them and convey the word to Yule. Because telepathy communication spells are ineffective because they are too far away and out of reach.

When they received the news, their eyes widened and they ran back to the Kingdom immediately. When they arrived at the eastern border of Solstice, they saw a chaotic scene. Civilians' homes have been devastated, and dead bodies can be found everywhere.

Yule drew her Ice crystal sword from her hand and began slaughtering the hordes. Eli does the same, slaying any of the Hordes they come across. Yule noticed other folks who were resting on the ground and were still moving and weeping.

Yule's eyes widen as she sees their grins, and joy at their return changes to grief and agony. She was aware that she was failing to safeguard their smiles. Yule noticed that everyone was sobbing and fleeing. She turns to face Eli, who is slaughtering many Hordes at the same time.

"Eli! help evacuate the folks to a safe location, and I'll deal with the Hordes," she said. But Eli seemed to disagree, stating that he does not want to leave Yule alone.

"Yule, I cannot leave you here, there are too many Hordes," he said

"Eli! you have to help them, remember what I said, remember what you have to protect!" Yule yelled, slaying the hordes' throats. running out of time to save the civilians because of the hordes scattered everywhere.

"Help!"

"Help! someone, my son is dying."

"Yule, Help!!!"

"Captain, help us!"

They heard all the civilians asking for help. Yule look at Eli,

"Eli, listen to me, I can handle this, evacuate them immediately!" she said as she slew several hordes who were scattered around her. but Eli seems to hear nothing and keeps slaying the Hordes

"Eli! remember what I said--" he cuts what she's saying

"I have to protect you! I can't lose you Yule!" he said. startled Yule. her eyebrow furrowed as she hears the voice of the civilians

"Don't call me a weakling; I can take care of myself," she remarked. and paralyzes any Hordes she sees. Eli attempted to utilize the telepathic communication spell, but no one responded.

"But Yule, I didn't want you to get h-I can't lose you! you're the only one I care about. let's wait for reinforcements to evacuate them and I'll help you deal with the Hordes!" Eli shouted, desperate. but Yule suddenly appeared in front of him and slapped him across the face. Eli's eyes widen when he notices the difference from the usual smack of Yule.

"They don't respond to my message," she stated coldly. "You have to evacuate them, now!"

"But Yule, if I leave-" Eli interrupted himself when Yule abruptly grabbed him by the collar and gave him a terrifying look. the second time Eli saw Yule making expression like this,

"Call me captain, and obey my commands..." she added before letting go. Eli didn't say anything and unconsciously hugged Yule, which surprised her.

"Be safe. I'll be back once I finish," he said and immediately go and evacuate the civilians.

Yule slays the Hordes one at a time, her Ice scattered everywhere where the hordes are, and pierced them with her ice blades. Yule's temperature started to drop but she feels fire burning inside her. every exhale her breath can see. she assures that nothing was missed with her attacks while Eli gathers all the survivors and assists them to a safe place

*A-moment-later*

[Eli, how're the civilians?] Yule uses the telepathy communication spell with Eli.

[I'm gathering all the folks I see who are still alive; how are you? Are you okay? Did you suffer any injuries? ] Eli inquires as he carries a youngster and places them in an underground warehouse.

[I-I'm alright.] Yule said as she slew some Hordes, panting, Yule's powers are exceptional; she can battle both long and short ranges. She is, nonetheless, a human being who gets fatigued. Her mana does not run out easily, but her stamina does.

She moves slowly compared to earlier, forcing her to be attacked by the Hordes and receiving scratches on her back and arms.

[Captain, are you really fine?] Eli said but before Yule answered

[Captain! are you there!? can you hear me?!] Jack said, Yule and Eli, can hear him
