"Bad boys! Bad boys! What you gonna do? What you gonna do? What you gonna do when they come for you?" She sang at the top of her lungs with all her strength disrupting the peace of the prison.
Plus, her voice was terrible.
"You better shut it! You better shut your mouth!" A police officer screamed at her hitting the baton in her hand on the table.
Red smirked.
"I love it when you call me big poppa." She rapped this time, "Throw your hands in the air, if you is a true player."
"That's it." The police woman grunted.
She pushed her chair backwards making a screeching noise and matched over to the noise maker's cell.
"Look here young woman." She growled hitting the baton on the cell bars, "If you do not grant us some peace and quiet, I will detain you for two more weeks."
"Sorry ma'am." She apologised immediately.
Detained for two weeks? She shook her head at the thought.
She was only gonna spend a night here and that's it.
Red hated the place. There were mosquitoes and she kept slapping them away, to think that she once thought her beaten down apartment was the worse.
The cell was stuffy, there was heat and she was sweating all over.
Duhhh, Her subconscious rolled her eyes, Did you think you were gonna get air conditioning here?
She sighed regretting why she ventured in stealing an iPhone earlier that morning.
It's not like it was the first time she had stolen or the first time she had been caught. It was different now cause she had never ended up in a cell before and she was determined to make it the last time she did.
She figured that she had to be more sensible and alert.
Her stomach rumbled reminding her of her far forgotten hunger, causing her to groan.
She only had a granula bar through out the day. Of course, she didn't buy it. She stole it or in her own term 'borrowing it for permanent causes'.
As she sat thinking about her next move, an idea popped up in her mind.
She removed the rusted hair pin in her hair, stood up from the bench and tiptoed over to the cell bars.
She was gonna pick the locks and escape.
She put the hair pin into the keyhole, her total concentration set on it, with a tongue gliding over her upper lip. It was like she knew what she was doing.
"You know I am right in front of your cell and I can see you picking the lock right?" She looked up at the sound of the police woman's voice and frowned.
Mission failed.
"Get back to your position this instant!" The woman barked and Red sluggishly dragged herself back to the broken bench.
She threw herself on it and pulled her old coat over her body, wrapping her arms around herself, she managed to lay on the bench and fell into a light and uncomfortable slumber.
_______________
Morning came quickly and Red was finally in the process of being released.
"I do not want to see you back here again." A male police officer warned while he removed her handcuffs, "Is that clear?"
"Yes sir." She said sweetly nodding her head, "Can I have my bag please?"
"No, you can't." They both turned to find the intruding voice. It was the female police officer from last night and Red scoffed.
"Nothing in that bag is her." The woman further explained while taking her seat.
Her? Red was perplexed, "Excuse me ma'am, it's hers and not her."
"Are you correcting me?" The woman growled.
"Nope." She shook her head, "Just telling you my opinion and it's totally fine if you do not acknowledge it." Her words were rushed.
"So, as I was saying." The woman ignored her, "She stoles everything in that bag."
Red face palmed herself, really?
"Ma'am, it's stole not stoles." Red explained boldly, "Stop embarrassing yourself."
"I will deal with you when you come back here." The woman threatened.
"Oh, we won't be meeting again." She winked and strode out of the police station.
She was on the last set of steps when she heard someone scream, "Catch that thief!"
Surely, they had discovered that she had stolen the woman's purse and she laughed.
Heavy footsteps racing down the stairs sounded behind her. Several police men were after her, she waited till they were very close before laughing one more time and breaking into a run
The New York police department officers were after Red, hot on her heels. It was like a race, one which she would win as always.
____________
Red raised the window shield up before sliding her lean body through it. She was passing through the window to avoid being seen by the landlord in the hallway. She owed rent.
Red owed two years rent.
She jumped down into the room and let out a breath of relief.
Phew! That was a long chase.
She proceeded in emptying her pockets. The police woman's purse fell, two red apples, a can of pringles and a bottle of water.
She took the purse, unzipped it and dipped her fingers in to check for money. Her fingers met wads of dollar notes. She brought them out to count. The money was three hundred dollars in total and she could never have been happier, it was enough to last her for sometime.
Still in the cocoon of glee, she reached down and picked an apple, biting into it without washing, not as if there was any water to wash it with.
Red burped. She was full. She rubbed her hand over her stomach and looked out the window, the blue sky was bright. She could see a few birds flying across in the sky, chirping and flapping their wings happily.
She wished she was one of the birds and having nothing to worry about than fly and eat worms.
She glanced across the yellow coloured one room apartment and sighed.
The room was old, the paint was peeling fast, there were no furniture except for a broken piece of mirror nailed to the wall and a small shrunken cupboard. On the right side of the room next to the wall was a thin mattress and an old lamp.
She looked up at the yellow ceiling fan rotating slowly and she wanted to pull it down in anger. It caused nothing but more heat. But, she couldn't do that. She barely had money for rent no the less damages.
A bird fluttered past the window drawing her attention. It had dropped it's yellow poop on the glass.
Ughhhh! She groaned as there was no water to clean it.
Red was about to get up to use the bathroom when she heard banging on the door.
It's must be the landlord, Her thoughts made her heartbeat quicken.
The banging increased.
She didn't bother asking who was there as it will give a presence away.
So, she laid on the fall noiselessly and staying mute.
"Red! Red!" The man screamed, "I know you are in there."
He banged continuously wishing he could break the door down.
She was right after all, it was the landlord.
"Open the door!" He screamed, "I just wanna talk."
That talking included screaming and dragging her out with her scanty belongings.
"No, thank you." She muttered.
"I know you are in there and you can hear me."
Silence.
"Red! Don't aggravate my anger!"
Still silence.
"I will reported you to the cops."
"Come on landlord, it's report not reported." She whined and immediately slapped her hand over her mouth knowing her mistake.
"So you have been in there, aye?" He banged on the door with more force, "Open this door now!"
Red stood up and walked to the door. She swallowed before releasing the bolt.
The door opened and she faced the landlord squarely.
She accessed his features. His brows were furrowed and his nose turned up. His face was all red and sweaty.
"Hey!" She smiled sweetly, "My favorite landlord." She bumped his shoulder with her fist, "What do you have for me today?"
"Wh...at? What do I have for you?" He barked getting angrier at her audacity.
"No need to go all tiger on me." She frowned, "What do you want?"
"I need my rent."
"Is that so?" She rolled her eyes.
"I am not surprised you are playing all cool." He palmed his face, "Nothing bothers you for goodness sake."
"Are you disturbing me cause of common rent?"
"You call it common rent?" He so wanted to pick her up and toss her out.
"Yea, it is."
"Pay me my two years rent!" He demanded.
"I do not have the money."
"You aren't ready to have roof above your head."
Red didn't know what to do. She wasn't ready to move out and she needed to evade the man.
"Dear landlord."
"What the hell is it?"
"Is that Ms. Connor?" She smiled craning her head above his shoulder in the pretence of seeing someone.
The landlord turned abruptly, "Where is she?"
Red seized the opportunity and ran back into her room. She bolted the door and moved the small cupboard in front of it.
The landlord realised he had been fooled and taken advantage of by his crush on the woman, he turned angrily and began pounding on the door.
"Pray I do not catch you Red!" He screamed.
Red was long gone, she had slid out through the window and into the streets to get food with the money she just picked from the landlord.
_______________
She walked through the streets dipping her hand in the pack of popcorn and in people's pockets.
She munched away happily the fact that she had to go back home and face the landlord not bothering her.
Red had that peculiar personality. Not having to worry, not letting anything bother her, not having to take responsibility for anything.
Even not knowing who her parents were wasn't a bother to her.
She grew up in the streets. It was all she could remember. She never stayed put in foster homes. She always ran from them. She never liked them and each time she was caught, she ran again.
She stopped by a shop that sold mirrors and peered into the a mirror to examine her frame.
Wild and unruly red hair ran down her back. The beanie she wore did no job in keeping some of it in place. She had bright blue eyes and a fairly pointed nose with freckles scattered around it an her cheeks, rosy colored thin lips. The only thing she didn't like about her face were the acne marks and new developing acne scattered all over it. They never went away and it's not like she cared enough or they bothered her. She just didn't like them.
She wasn't exactly small. She stood at a height of 5'6 and she was moderately slim but the oversized coat and boyfriend jeans made her look really smallish.
She gave a cracked cheerful smile at her reflection, adjusted her beanie and skipped away while thinking of the next move to evade the landlord.
Red got the paint and placed it next to the broken pieces of wood she had found in the alley.
She picked up the nail and the hammer and got to constructing a very badly made signboard.
She was done soon. She looked at her piece of work and smiled in satisfaction and then she got to painting on it.
The landlord rushed to Red on seeing her placing a placard in front of the building and hammering on it into the ground.
"There she is!" He exclaimed on getting to her, "What are you doing Red and where is my rent?"
"Hey landlord." She smiled at him and stood straight, "Just wait some more and I will pay you your money."
"I should wait?" He asked, "And how exactly are you gonna pay me?"
"Uggh! Be patient." She rolled her eyes and got to completing her task.
"Red! What in God's name is this?" He fumed after seeing what was writing on the sign.
"I am selling your house." She said confidently.
"And why is that?" He wasn't sure he could control his anger anymore.
"I am selling your house to pay rent."
"I do not get it."
"Let me explain this the way a 6 years old would understand." She said calmly, "I am selling your house so I can give you the money to pay up what I owe you."
"RED!!" He screamed.
"Why are you screaming? Isn't it for me to pay you, you are after?"
"GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!!!"
It was night when he finally and successfully threw her out.
Red stood there in front of the house. Her head hung low and her belongings crutched under her shoulder in an old bag.
She didn't know what to do next and she wasn't even bothered.
She looked up at the sky and felt rain drops on her face and then it began pour down.
She sighed.
Red, the carefree thief was penniless, homeless and now cold.
"It's a magic box." She said, "I swear it is." Red tried to convince the old woman in front of her.
"I don't believe you child!" The woman said sternly clutching her purse in her hands like she knew Red was gonna steal from her.
Red rolled her eyes, "It can make your wishes come true." She tried to persuade her further, "Trust me, it's a family heirloom."
"Oh really?!" The woman snorted, one hand on her hip now, "If it is truly magic, why haven't you gotten all rich and affluent?"
"Uhhmm..." She stared at her dumbfounded, "Bye." She scurried away from the woman's sight knowing she had been found out.
Red has been homeless and hungry for days. She didn't know what to do anymore. So, she resulted to selling an old rusted metal box she found in an alley and it wasn't doing her any good.
You thought anyone would fall for it? Her subconscious sneered, you thought wrong.
She got tired of walking and she sat in front of a coffee shop.
Red scanned the area making sure no one saw her and then when the coast was clear, she pushed her beanie lower, put on her old dark sunglasses, wore a nose mask and hung a sign on her neck that read 'I AM DEAF, DUMB AND BLIND, HELP ME PLEASE', and then she sat down and waited.
Moments passed and people passed by her, shook their heads pitifully then dropped dollar notes and coins in her outstretched hands with Red shaking her head and smiling inwardly.
This new venture of mine is really good, She thought has the sound of notes and coins dropping sounded like music to her ears.
When she got to the abandoned alley where she slept, she brought out the money and counted it excitedly.
Red realised four hundred dollars and she almost leapt for joy. She was definitely going to continue with this one.
She continued her falsely handicapped ventures and limited her pick pocketing but not stopping it completely. She just had a thing for petty theft, for taking things that didn't belong to her.
With the returns she got from begging, she could feed and also managed to get herself a one room apartment in an old house but in better conditions than the last.
She only prayed and worried that she wouldn't be caught or discovered that she wasn't really handicap. If it did happen, her new found comfort would be temporary.
As she finished her half eaten bugger that night and gazed into the starry night through her open window.
She smiled.
She was happy, not that she hadn't been happy before but she was happier this time.
She got away from the window, laid on her new mattress and pulled her covers clothes snuggling into the warmth.
She fell asleep with a smile on her face.

Daniel walked down the street with brisks steps, his head hung low, hands in his pockets and a frown etched on his face.
He was mad.
His car just broke down and he tried calling his house staff to get him another but none of them was answering the phone.
He made up his mind to dismiss them all once he got home.
He steps got faster and his anger rose when he glanced at his watch and saw he was late.
Late! He hated being late. It was never a part of him and never would be.
He had a reputation to keep up.
"Please kind one." He stopped on hearing a feminine voice as he walked past a shop, "Please be kind." The voice repeated.
His gaze travelled in the direction of the voice and his eyes found a young lady sitting on the floor in front of a shop.
A beanie was atop her head but he could see the long red hair flowing from underneath. She had on some old shades and he couldn't see her face well for she wore a nose mask.
He also noticed her clothes were baggy and old.
"Please help." He heard her sweet innocent voice again. He read the sign hung on her neck that he hadn't noticed and felt touched, he had to do something.
Red watched the man in a sleek suit pull out a dollar bill and he placed it in her hand.
A dollar?? She questioned, or maybe I can't see well cause of my guise.
She made sure he had gone and the coast was clear before peeking and seeing it was a dollar bill actually.
"What the fuck??!" She screeched inwardly, "Such a selfish person."
Red was angry as to why a man in an expensive looking suit would give only a dollar.
He should have given at least 10 to a hundred, She thought.
She dropped her sign, put all the money in her pockets apart from the dollar bill. She solely held the money he dropped and took to the streets in search for him.
Luckily, he hadn't gone far, she spotted him about 10 feet away.
Red ran to him and tapped him harshly on the shoulder.
"What is it?!" Daniel turned when he felt someone tap him, he was trying not to be harsh. He had to get to work soon and he got interrupted, great!
"Look at me!" Red growled staring at him.
"Wait?! What the heck?!" He bursted out on realising who she was, "Aren't you suppose to be blind and completely handicapped?"
"And aren't you suppose to be generous young man?" She growled looking up at him, "Take you fucking peasant money." She slapped the dollar bill to his chest.
Daniel stared in shock, what the hell is going on? He was confused.
"You should be ashamed of yourself!" She scolded, "you are wearing an expensive suit and yet you can't be generous."
"Excuse me young woman..."
"Shut up stingy man." She cut him short, "People like you are the problem we have in the society today."
"Me?!" Daniel asked angrily, "You are the problem here. You lying to everyone that you are handicapp leeching them of their hard earned money."
"Uhhh..." Red stared down for a second, "That still doesn't give you the right to be fucking selfish."
"Get out of my way I don't have time for this." He gently pushed her aside but Red didn't move.
"You are selfish, mannerless and you lack courtesy." She told him, "And you are arrogant."
"Really?!" He asked staring at her, "You are only describing yourself and plus you are dubious."
She said nothing. She stared at him for a while. He was tall. He towered over her but she wasn't sure how tall he was.
His hair was brown. She didn't know the length, she wanted to peek behind him to know how long it was. He had dark orbs, a pointed nose and nice lips. His skin was beautifully tanned.
She thought he looked like 'Jeff' from 'can't buy my love' but the tanned Jeff.
"Can you get out of my way please." Daniel glanced at his watch, "I am running late." He said, "And quit staring."
"As you wish, your royal selfishness." She scoffed, "I wish you a terrible ass day."
He shook his head and continued his walk still not being able to process what just happened.
Red smirked as she watched him go.
She opened her hand and look at his wallet. It looked pretty expensive.
She checked it contents and smiled to herself, he was sure gonna have a terrible day, and her day was going to be splendid with his money.
Daniel decided to take a taxi. It was a terrible idea at first trying to trek to the office.
He stood by the road side and flagged one down.
The yellow taxi trafficated and parked next to him.
"Where are you going sir?" The middle aged driver asked after rolling down the window.
"Hart's corporative." He said to the driver, "Make it quick please."
"Alright man, hop in." The driver told him.
"Wait." Daniel said, "Let me get my wallet."
He put his hands in his pockets and found nothing.
He felt himself all over and still got nothing.
"What the fuck?!" He clamored.
He searched his suit pockets and trench coats, still nothing.
This can't be happening, He nearly cried out in frustration.
"Hop in man! You are wasting time!" The driver grumbled.
"I can't seem to find my wallet." He replied the driver counting his words while ransacking himself, "It was right here."
"Sorry." The man shook his head, "I do not drive broke people." He then stepped on the gas pedal and zoomed off.
Broke?! Did he just call me broke, He stared unbelievably.
He, Daniel Hart, America's most successful business man was just called broke.
Daniel couldn't take it anymore. It was insulting. First, the rude lady called him selfish, now a taxi driver called him broke.
He was frustrated and angry.
He needed to let it out and then he screamed.
______________
"Do you all want to fucking get sacked?!" He screamed.
All members of his house staff quivered.
"Why didn't any of you dumbasses answer the phone?"
No answer.
"I fucking asked a question."
"We were all sleeping." The butler said.
"YOU WERE WHAT?!" Daniel screamed louder and it echoed in the gigantic hall way.
"So assuming thieves were to break in, it will be possible cause you were all fucking sleeping." He said, "Do I fucking pay you to sleep?"
"No sir." They chorused shaking their head.
"All of you get out of my sight before I lose my temper completely." They all scampered away leaving their boss there in fear of aggravating his anger.
"Stupid ass workers." He grumbled as he watched them disperse.
_______________
Red entered the coffee shop with two things in mind to get coffee and to steal as usual.
She gave up begging.
After the incident with the selfish man, her cover was blown and now she was fully back to pick pocketing.
She got into the shop to meet with a very long line of people waiting for coffee as if there was a scarcity.
She sighed and joined the waiting queue.
Daniel breezed into the coffee shop. He was on a phone call. He could have easily asked his driver to get him coffee but he decided to do it himself. Every member of his house staff have been getting things wrong of late so he took to doing most things himself.
He frowned at the queue and moved briskly to the front of the line
"A Cinnamon Dolce Latte Tall." He said to the waiter before slapping a hundred dollar bill on the counter.
"Hey!" Someone shouted from the line.
"You can't do that!" Another said.
"That is not fair!"
Several protest statements and noises came from the line but Daniel didn't care, he just continued his call while his coffee was being made.
Red tapped the woman in front of her, "What's all the fuss about ma'am?" She asked not understanding while everyone was getting mad.
"The rich looking guy who just entered cut the line and he's getting his coffee before everyone here." The blonde haired woman said.
"What the hell?!" Red said suddenly hating rich people.
First, it was the selfish guy.
Now, this guy too.
She got out of the line and stomped to the front breathing angrily.
"Hey you!" She slapped the guy hard on the back when she got to the counter.
"Owww." Daniel was forced to end his call and he turned back to his source of pain.
He was met with the face of a blue eyes red head girl with freckles and a lot of pimple marks.
"Don't I know you?" He asked in deep thought.
"Oh it's you shit head." Red snorted, "Aside being selfish, you are also corrupt and unfair."
"It's you!" He exclaimed, "It's you, the bloody liar."
"You can't be cutting lines."
"Says the person who lies." He snorted, "Is my Coffee ready yet?" He turned back to the waiter."
"Almost sir." The waiter nodded.
"Look at me when I am talking to you." Red poked his back.
Daniel turned.
He was perplexed by her audacity.
"Do you know who I am?" He asked her angrily.
"Yes I do." She smirked.
"Here you go sir." The waiter interrupted them.
"A man drenched in coffee." Red said before quickly snatching the coffee from the waiter and then she poured it on him.
Daniel screamed. Not because the coffee was hot but because it was his newly purchased favourite suit.
"I am going to kill you." He fumed fisting his free hand.
"Not if I kill you first." She jumped on him and bit him on the shoulder before racing out of the shop.
The crowd was rowdy and in support of Red for they hated Daniel for cutting the line.
Red ran off with his wallet as expected.
Daniel's Monday was ruined.
"And with that the board meeting is concluded." Daniel said to the members of the board at the table while closing the files before him as he heard several sighs coming from his staff.
Sighs of relief.
It sure was a long and boring meeting.
"Rose." He called.
"Yes sir." A woman sitting on the third chair to the left answered, "What would you want me to do sir?"
"I want you to reach out to Greter's hub and find out if their proposal is ready?" He stood up from his seat, " Make it snappy." He added.
"Yes sir." Rose said.
"The rest of you are dismissed."
Every person at the table stood up at his statement and proceeded to exit the boardroom in an orderly manner admits chatting and incessant murmurs.
Daniel rolled his eyes at their attitude and waited for them to all leave the boardroom before he followed suite and went to his office.
It wasn't long before he got there and had assumed his position of his magnificent soft leather seat.
He sank into it, leaning his head backwards and he let out a peaceful sigh at the ease the seat provided.
His eyes flickered to the long glass windows as he stared into the city skyline getting lost in his thoughts.
Months had passed since he had seen that rude lady and he was glad.
After his last encounter with her, he made sure never to cross paths with her again.
He moved to a new place, got his coffee at a different place and took routes that were distinct from where he had seen her.
All his measures to avoid her worked.
He was free.
No more bad mornings.
No more bad days.
He broke free from his thoughts and stood up from the seat before proceeding to grab his office files and wallet.
Daniel scanned the office to make sure he didn't forget anything.
He nodded in satisfaction once done and headed out the door to his next meeting.
Red sat at the table with a forlorn look. Her head bent low. Her hands with dirty nails twirling the coffee with a spoon in the white mug cup placed in front of her.
She raised the cup to her lips and took a sip of the contents in it. The bitterness hitting her taste buds forcing her to spew out the liquid.
"That's terrible!" She shuddered speaking to herself.
"So, why should we give you a job?" The woman in front of her at the other side of the table asked accessing Red with disgust.
"Cause I need one and you need secretary." Red stated to the woman as she looked at her hair wondering if it was bleached blonde or natural.
"I mean give me a reasonable answer why you think you should be the best candidate for the job." The woman explained with a frustrated sigh.
She adjusted her glasses, gazing at Red intently.
"I just gave you an answer." Red shrugged, "If you can't make something reasonable out of what I just said then you obviously do not deserve to have me here."
"What insolence?!" The woman exclaimed shocked at Red's reply.
"So...uhhh." Red tapped her fingers on the table, "You gonna give me the job or not?" She asked with all her mustered confidence.
"Get out!" The woman thundered, "Get out of my office now!!
"Okay miss." Red nodded standing up, 'Your coffee tasted bad anyway." She turned her back and walked out of the office not waiting for the woman's reply.
She strode out of the office not too elegantly and angry wondering why no one had hired her.
Red had been looking for a job for days.
Why she suddenly wanted a job was out of the ordinary and unknown to her even.
She had gotten tired of picking pockets over time as she was recently unsuccessful most of the time.
So she decided she needed a job if she wanted to survive as her petty thieving wasn't paying off too well anymore.
Red walked down the streets with her hands in her pants pockets. It was evening now. The cool breeze blowing through the trees with leaves rustling producing a calming sound.
She walked for some time before spotting a bench and taking a seat on it.
Her hands were removed from her pocket now and were neatly folded across her laps while she stared into space dwelling in her thoughts.
She really needed to get a job but with little to no qualifications no one would hire her.
She sniffed and rubbed her palms over her face.
She was lost on what to do, where to go and how to go about looking for a job.
She wanted a high class job, a secretary or a receptionist of which she knew she had no qualifications for.
The only jobs she could get were less paying manual jobs like cleaning, waitressing and laundry services but Red wasn't interested. She didn't want them.
She wanted to get the admirable jobs, huge paying and classy jobs.
She got broken away from her thoughts by the sudden honking of cars which she had been distant from.
Red stood up from the bench wiping her bottoms like some imaginary dust got on it.
She put her hands back in her pockets and began trekking down the road with her head hung low, whistling with every step she took as she continued her thoughts.
She didn't want to falter because she got rejected. The rejection didn't down her spirits one bit.
She was gonna try again tomorrow.
"No! No! No! Hell no!" Those were the words Red heard the following week.
A bunch of No's with doors being slammed in her face.
The last rejection was the worse.
"You say you were a thief or are a thief?" The white haired lady asked her pulling her glasses down to her nose as if it would help her see Red more clearly.
"Yes ma." Red nodded with a smile.
"Are or were?" The lady asked.
"Uhhmm..." She hummed for a moment as if in subtle thought, "A bit of both actually."
"And you want to work for me as a cashier?" The woman's brows furrowed as she leaned back in her seat.
"Yes, isn't it obvious?" Red grunted, "That's why I am here."
"Of what guarantee are you giving me that you wouldn't steal my money?"
"Cause I am trying to change." She twirled her hair while she answered.
"And..."
"Look lady." She tapped her index finger on the table, "Just give me the job. I am not promising not to steal your money and even if I do." She raised the same finger at the woman in a comical way, "It wouldn't be all of it. I am not a wicked person to steal all your money and..."
"Security!" The lady screamed.
"B...u...t ma'am." Red stammered.
She didn't get to finished her statement.
She saw herself being lifted from the chair by two heavyweight ladies, walked out of the office and thrown out of the building in a non graceful manner.
Red stood up with a sigh and picked up her purse which had fallen to the ground before dusting her clothes with her palms.
She was about to step away from the premises of the building when she saw a white flyer pinned to a pole.
She walked there out of curiosity and tore of the paper.
'PERSONAL ASSISTANT NEEDED URGENTLY'
She smiled as she read through the paper. The interview was slated for the next Monday and there was a cooperate dress code to follow.
She folded the paper and put it in her purse.
She was going over to the company on Monday to try and she was going to make sure she got the job.
She smiled once more to herself before skipping happily down the street journeying her way home.
