Twinkle sank into the chair with teary eyes as she gazed into space saying no word to anyone.

"Twinkle dear, please cheer up, you don't have to mourn Because of this? You will surely get your mate my child."

Grantinity twinkle mother consoled her daughter.

"When mother,? When? I am the only one among my friends who haven't gotten a mate!"

"No... You..."

"Even my male friends already got their mate! Some got at sixteen and do you know the worst mother, I haven't even gotten my wolf! And you are asking me to be calm?"

"Twinkle it is always a step at a time! Yours will come the goddess will..."

"No! Mother do not call a delay a step at a time! I refuse to heed to that!"

"Twinkle please listen to mother! Listen to her at least this once"

Marginia twinkle sister said.

"I have always listened to mother, but look at you my younger sister, you will be performing the mate bond ritual with your mate in seven days time in the night of the full moon and you say I should listen to mother?"

"Twinkle please calm down we understand how this is and what you must be going through right now."

Beta Ralo said

"No Father! No one understands anything!"

She sobbed silently to herself.

"I know you will feel this way twinkle, but Look your mother and I have decided to let you have a three years break before you begin searching for your mate. It might just be your mate isn't just ready at the moment."

"Ready? why not? Father infact I'm suspecting he is dead."

"Sister!" Margin called out to Twinkle

Margin and marginia are twins Twinkle's sibling from same mother but different father.

"What margin? Look here the goddess has been preparing you in every possible way because, in no time you will be mated right?"

"No my child, things doesn't work this way no one is born to be unfortunate not you my child"

Grantinity said again to her daughter.

"I doubt mother! What will my friends say? They will laugh at me"

"No one will Twinkle!"

Grantinity said again she is ready to do anything possible to restore her daughter sanity Because right now she is losing it.

"Hahahaha okay! No one will untill the day it becomes an open issue I shall refer it to you."

Twinkle said and walked out of the house.

"Margin! please follow your sister and make sure she doesn't hurt herself".

Beta Ralo ordered his son.

Twinkle walked out of the neighborhood looking very tattered she didn't care how the members of her pack were staring at her all that is her concern is to find somewhere to ask the goddess why she did this to her.

"You have really shown that you ain't fair to me! You don't love me at all. I doubt if you are still watching over me else, why will you choose to disgrace me this way?."

She asked digging her fingers into her hair as she scattered it all.

"Like my Dad has said I'm going to wait for just that three years and after which, I will do as I please because, waiting for you is..."

"Twinkle! Twinkle!!"

Benivire called holding twinkle's wrist.

"What things are you saying? Twinkle?"

"Whaa... What... What are you doing here?"

Asked twinkle surprised as she saw him.

Benivire has been twinkle's friend since childhood and they hoped he will become her mate but unfortunately he wasn't as he was someone else's mate.

"I just came to seek some answers, I just want to free my head."

He said looking pitifully at her.

"I only came to ask the goddess what she has done! I don't understand any of this! She gave me hope that isn't real?"

She sobbed resting her head on Benivire chest as the latter stroked her hair gently.

"Twinkle!"

He called mildly making her to look at him.

"I hope you get over this soon twinkle, honestly, I was way affected by this I can't explain how I felt."

"Alright I will get over this thanks! I will stay for sometime before going home."

She said with a tone of disappointment.

"Is that so? But I think you should leave now, it's windy and the rain might start soon."

He replied really concerned.

"Twinkle, the wind is much! I can't leave you here!."

"I said just go! I don't want anyone around me not even you Benivire!"

She shouted in anger and that startled him as to why she is acting funny.

"I do care for you twinkle, I'm not going to leave you here in this storm!"

"You say you care for me? Oh really? So,then why didn't you rewrite this fate of ours? I know why, it's because neither you nor anyone care so much about me and that's the truth!"

"Twinkle!"

"Just let me be?"

She said as she walked away from him walking deeper into the woods as she didn't care where she is going.

"Margin? You are back? What happened?"

Grantinity asked imediately she saw his son.

"Yes mother I met with Benivire he is with Twinkle so he asked me to go as the storm is much and it's going to rain."

"You did leave her there?"

Asked Grantinity in anger.

"Father just said I should follow her he didn't say make yourself visible also, Benivire is no stranger he has been a part of this family for long."

"Margin!"

Beta Ralo called in anger.

"Father! I have done as you said I only left because it is going to rain!"

"I didn't ask you to explain you may go inside."

Beta Ralo said to his son as he watched marginia twist her mouth in anger.

"Do you maybe want to go look for your sister?"

Beta Ralo asked her seeing how furious she is.

"It's late already! I cannot have two daughters out in the dark without knowing their destination."

She complained and walked inside with her husband while marginia sat there listening to every creature making noises in the night.

"Can you just stop walking and listen to me?"

Benivire called as he keep walking after her.

"Why? Why? I beg you Benivire in the name of all that is holy let me be! If you are done with the reason you came here then go! Just go!."

"I will go but can I ask you something?"

"What is it?"

"I understand how difficult this is, I mean you are really affected by this but then can you tell me why you can't let go of it this easily."

"It is nothing!"

She answered in a hush voice.

"Twinkle, just tell me what the matter is and I promise I will provide a solution for it!"

He said as he gently picked her hairs which are already covering her face to the back, and used his fingers to comb the hair.

"There is nothing you can do about it except...."

"Except what?"

"Except you marry me!"

She said looking straight into his eyes as Benivire let go of her.

"Marry you?" He asked in a whisper.

"Yes! Let's build our bond i mean I know everything that happens in the mate matching bonds I can perform the ritual for us!"

She said sharply demonstrating as she said her words freely.

"Are you listening to yourself?"

"Yes Benivire, I am listening to myself, you wanted to provide a solution right, this is just the only way."

She said in persuasion hoping he buys her idea.

"You are so desperate Twinkle, I'm sorry about that but you are one desperate girl!"

He said in anger boiling inside of him.

"Ohh!"

She exclaimed as tears dropped down her eyes, her heart is shattered she couldn't believe Benivire called her that the whole place went silence for ten minutes as neither of them spoke.

"Is it so difficult to get married to me?"

"Twinkle, do you ever love me? Or are you saying all this because..."

"What love is there? What love? When the goddess chooses two separate people who don't know each other from anywhere and joined them as mate is that love?"

"But that is Destiny and one can adapt to destiny, besides that is not always the case."

"Ohh!"

She answered looking at him in pity as she is so sorrowful about her situation.

"Most of the time this people know each other or just maybe, they will get to know each other."

"It doesn't matter to me Benivire, all that mattered is that, now I know you don't care for me you have always been hiding under this unseen shadow."

She said and started walking out deeper into the woods.

"Twinkle, that is just not it! You can't force anything that isn't it,it will never work!."

"Dammit! I didn't ask you to explain did I? And yes, you are making lots of noise in my ears can you stop?"

She said stamping her feet to the ground.

"Fine I will do whatever you want us to do,but I will get you home first!"

"Hahahaha! Do I look like a child to you? Ohh yes I know you already have your wolf but I don't, still don't think of decieving me."

"I'm not Twinkle i promise to do whatever you say."

He said as he walked close to her holding her by the hands, in a flash he drew her out of there as the tree fell at the spot where she was standing.

"What is that?"

She asked hugging him so tight in fright.

"Hahaha! You are one fainthearted girl or I'm I mistaking? That's just a tree that fell."

"Did the beaver come here tonight?"

She asked but no one answered then she discovered Benivire is no longer there with her then she turned in force looking around for him and just when she tried to run a hand held him.

"Where are you running to? Trying to run away from your destiny?"

"Benivire?"

She turned recognizing the voice.

"Well, I think we should be going already, the storm is getting much and there might be a flood here so please let's go!"

"I didn't come with you just go if you want to?"

She looked into his eyes as he said meanly to him.

"What about your mother Twinkle, and your father! Your sister your brother who was staying in watch for you?"

"Go look after them! You have always been a part of our family and a son to them why not go to them?"

She said and kept walking this time non stop. Benivire ran towards her and held her by the waist as he gently pulled her down to arm level.

"What are you trying to do?" Asked her in a hush voice.

"What we never did because you were too certain of us!"

He replied calmly as he made her stand to her feet while he removed the strand of her hair to it's position, as he again held her by the waist slowly bringing his face closer to hers.

"Benivire!... You... You already have a mate Benivire,"

"Shhh I have always hoped to do everything for you and maybe I never did tell you but I love you Twinkle, I'm sorry that this destiny of ours didn't work out well."

Twinkle looked at him in agape as her heart melted into a mixture of happiness, anger and disappointed she stared at him with a sigh.

"Erm... It's not your fault Benivire thanks for all that you did then"

"I promise to make you happy so, we will elope and we will get married!"

"Elope? Married?"

"Yes! We will go to another pack into a peaceful clan and get married i just want to see you smile again."

"And what assurance do I have to prove if it's true?"

She asked him as he smiled.

"I will show you."

He said as he trailed his finger round her face soothing her forehead with his fingers, he held her closely about to kiss her.

"I will kiss you and that is the assurance."

He said bringing his face closer even though, it seemed like a dream Twinkle loved it and no matter how hard she tried not to let him she couldn't anyway.

She patiently waited for the kiss but didn't and as it was like their lips wants to collide with each other, the lightening came and a thunder struck then heavy winds began so did the heavy rain start pouring down to earth.

"Benivire!"

Twinkle called noticing her legs leaving the ground.

"Benivire are we flying or something?"

She asked seeing that they are four feet high.

"Ohh no! Twinkle! I don't know what is pulling me but whatever it is, it isn't good at all I'm going to leave your hands please make sure you land safely."

"Benivire! Benivire!"

She called as he already let go of her hand and she fell to the ground hitting her back head hard to the ground.

"Twinkle!!!!!! Run home!"

She held Benivire screamed her name and that was the end. The thunderstorms was louder and heavier than it was the rain kept pouring down heavily as Twinkle sat there sobbing.

"Benivire! Benivire!! Benivire!!!"

She called running towards her pack as she kept running she discovered she already passed the boundary to her pack.

"Ohh no! This can't be happening!"

She said trying to figure out her way in the dark.

"What did I do? Where has Benivire gone to?"

She said almost tearing up as she bumped into something.

"Who is that? Hello!"

She called out in self pity, now she realized she is very vulnerable as she can't transfrom into a wolf and here she is in the middle of a danger zone.

"What are you show yourself!"

She said bravely but no one spoke then the lightening came and the thunderstorms followed.

"Twinkle!"

The voice was familiar to her then she turned slowly it was marginia her sister.

"Marginia!"

She called with a smile but the latter wasn't smiling.

"What happened please if you know the way, can we go home? Take me home I want to go home?"

"I'm afraid we can't"

She said standing there motionless looking at Twinkle

"What Happened? Why? Did something happen? Isn't this the right route home?"

"This isn't the right route home! Nothing is happening back in the pack but then something is definitely happening here!"

"Then tell me what is happening?"

"I don't know what it was but a kind of creature is after me and again we ain't in our pack we have entered..."

Before she could finish her words, something eight feet tall held her head with it claws using his right fingers to sooth her neck while licking his tongues.

"Twinkle run! Run home!"

Marginia said to her sister flinching in pain and fright.

"No! I won't leave you."

She said shooking her head as she thought of what to do.

"Let go of my sister!"

She ordered but the creature wasn't listening.

"Transform yourself marginia"

Twinkle said to her sister.

"I don't know!"

She answered with a sign. Then twinkle thought of it, it might be worse if she transforms herself to a wolf.

"What should I do?"

She thought but nothing came to her mind and just then, she saw the fangs of the creature ready to dig into her sister's neck and quickly she caught a heavy stick and hit on the creatures head then on its hand.

"Sister!"

Marginia called as soon as the creature dropped her to the ground with red eyes he looked at Twinkle.

"Just let it be run!"

Twinkle said to her sister as both started Running.

"Where is he?"

Marginia asked but none of them knows, then they heard the tree branches shaking and sighted him on the tree.

"Ohh ohh! He is above us there!"

Twinkle pointed up and gasped.

"Where are we sister?"

"I do not know!"

Twinkle answered as they stood up to continue their race as marginia lead the way instead of Twinkle this time. They ran for an hour and fifty minutes before discovering the creature is no longer after them.

What was that sister?" Asked marginia

"Erm.... If I'm correct it's a vampire!"

"What? Vamp.... What? Ahhhhhhhhhh! We were just in their territory and how come we are safe?"

"I do not know! Marginia please let's go home."

Twinkle Said as they are already in their pack, she didn't want something bad happening again.

"Mother! Mother!!"

Marginia ran to her mother imediately she entered inside she hugged her tightly with her wet body. Though, the rain stopped few hours ago, her clothes is still slightly wet.

"Where is Benivire?"

Beta Ralo asked harshly at Twinkle.

"Erm... father i do not know what happened to him."

She said sobbing as she stood at a corner.

"Why are you girls looking this way?"

Grantinity asked marginia inspecting all her body.

"Where did you find your Twinkle?"

Beta Ralo asked in the most harshest voice.

"I... I found her alone in the woods!"

"Alone? Where is Benivire"

Asked as he walked out From the room.

"Something has... I don't know what happened father, but a force pulled him up he..."

"A what?" Beta Ralo asked very furious.

"I'm certain Twinkle didn't want to come home mother, Benivire has said he is going to bring her home now the poor guy is lost."

Margin said really angered.

"Your stubbornness is getting out of hand and your siblings are already emulating such, I would have tamed you if I were..."

"Ralo!"

Grantinity called sharply making him not to finish his words but Twinkle already know what he was going to say.

"I.... I admit my mistake and I'm sorry I know I will never be like your children."

She said to him and walked inside.

"Twinkle!.."

Grantinity called trying to follow her but her husband stopped her.

"Just let her be."

He said looking straight with a Stern face he diverted his face and looked at his daughter then he saw a mark at her neck.

"What happened to you?"

Beta Ralo asked suddenly and marginia swallowed hard she wasn't excepting the father to see it nor ask her about it.

"Erm.... Well... It's... That's just a.."

She stammered not knowing what to say, Twinkle warned her not to tell their parents what that was since the vampire scraped her skin off.

"Erm.... It's a wood a tree sterm did that father!"

She answered while her mother again inspected her.

"Your leg is soar it's red marginia, did you run?"

"Yes! I mean... No"

"What was that?"

Beta Ralo asked while Grantinity looked at her doubtfully.

"The rain was much and I was running to get home so,... I will retire to my room."

She said and left while beta Ralo inhaled heavily

"Your daughter should not mislead my children."
