Mara's POV

I found Mia drinking water by the river, Louis and his men had already ambushed her.

I observed what was happening with keen eyes, I didn't just want to rush in and do something crazy. If I were to do anything then we were both sure to lose our lives.

"Why are you hiding?" Mia queried and looked around.

"I know you are there Louis, you ungrateful fellow" Mia spoke with so much authority that I unknowingly began to have goosebumps.

"You can come out of your hiding places, and is best if you drop those toys you have been carrying around in the name of guns'' Mia smiled wickedly.

Slowly I saw the grass move and one of the men tried to grab her from behind but a very strong force pushed him away. It was like a forcefield was around Mia and no one could harm her.

Louis also came out of hiding, clapping his hand and smiling like someone who just won the lottery.

"I can see how big your wings have grown. Little girl, believe me, I am going to clip those wings of yours" Louis sounded very threatening, well at least that was how he felt. He sounded like a complete moron if you'd ask me.

"I CAN SEE YOU STILL HAVEN'T GROWN UP. LITTLE BROTHER" Mia's voice became very deep and terrifying. The ground was shaken and her voice echoed in the place. It was an open place, why was there an echo?.

"Arthur!" Louis stammered as he retracted from Mia. His men had already started keeping a safe distance from her when one of them was unable to grab her.

"It took you so long" Mia stood tall with the breeze blowing through her hair and her hands lifted to the sky. Her eyes had completely turned green, with lights flashing out of them. I was floating in mid-air, wow! Awesome.

"You go away....you are dead now and there is nothing you can do to harm me. Just go away, you have lost and I have won. Go and rest in peace" Louis was stammering and every atom of bravery that was left in his body had disappeared. He sounded like a crybaby, whose candy had just been snatched away from them.

"I never knew you could be so pathetic to think that. You took everything away from me. I left the throne for you but you still went as far as killing my babies even before they were born and you think I will rest in peace" Mia spoke, my father had taken complete control over her, and she didn't sound herself.

She didn't even know what she was saying and why she was saying it.

Seeing Mia float in the air like that with the wind lifting her hair, really frightened Louis's men.

"Cowards!!" Louis swallowed a huge chunk of his saliva when he saw that they were about to make a run for it.

"Nobody goes anywhere" Mia sounded so enraged and everyone's feet became glued to the floor.

"Right from childhood, I gave you everything that was mine initially but you always took advantage of me. Do you think I will let you get away this time?" Mia asked him and he began to have a shortage of breath, sweating profusely and looking like he was going to collapse any moment now.

"I can see you are still not getting me," Mia added and lifted her hands, squeezing her fist as if trying to strangle him.

"Please...uhhh." I saw Louis beg for his life. I never thought anything could bring such an evil man back to his knees but I guess I was wrong.

"You are the cause of your fortune but I won't be the one to k*ll you. My daughter will" Mia spoke gently and then released her grip on him before returning to the ground.

"RUN!!" She screamed and she screamed an earthquake. I could feel the ground shaking beneath my feet and the sky felt like they were going to rip apart.

Louis and his foolish men took their heels, running without looking back, who knew grown-up men could run so fast?.

Mia suddenly felt a sharp pain in her forehead as she clenched it very tightly and fell to the ground.

"Mia! Mia!" I rushed to her, catering out the name while I shook her with her body lying on the floor but she didn't respond to me.

"Mia please open your eyes, please" I began to shop especially when I noticed that she wasn't breathing. I used my hands to scoop up some water from the river and poured it on her.

"Are you okay?" I asked her when I noticed her eye muscles had begun to move. She was seriously struggling to open them and was doing great.

"Where is this place? Have they gone?" Mia kept on asking me, why doesn't my dad leave her with memories after possessing her? It would be so cool if she saw how fearless she looked.

"They are gone now and guess who chased them away?" I asked her with a smile on my face, hoping he would make a good guess.

"You? Did you kill anyone?" She inquired, still looking very dizzy. I could tell that her head felt so heavy and her eyes were worn out.

"You did Mia but I think we should talk about that later, for now. We have to find a way to get you to the car okay? Come with me" I tried to help her get up. I didn't realize how far we were from the roadside until I had to assist Mia to walk to the car. It was a dreadful experience because she would slip from my hand and as a result, she would crash to the ground.

I will have to pick her up again and keep walking. With each time she took, she lost more strength and that weakened me so much. I barely had the strength to keep going.

"Finally we are here, get in Mia" I opened the car door when we managed to get to the car. She went in and lay in the backseat.

I wanted to drive off immediately but the rose was still. in that palace.

I wonder what is keeping her so long? If I leave now and she comes out later then it would become a big problem. I think I should wait for some time, if I don't see any trace of her or get a phone call at least, I will go in search of her.

Rose's POV

"And where do you think you are going?" One of the guards asked me with such a serious face, I was so scared he would kill me.

"Answer me!" He raised his voice at me and so just kept silent.

"The queen has sent me on an errand. '' I tried to lie but I failed, he didn't believe me.

"You, go confirm if she is telling the truth" he ordered his fellow guard who dashed into the palace.

Dear Lord, please make him break his bones so he won't have to come to reveal the truth that I am lying.

"She didn't send anyone on an errand. This girl is lying and come to think of it, I have never seen her face before '' the guard quickly returned. How could he maneuver his way so quickly? It took me at least 20 minutes to find my way around that palace and he had already given a speech to the queen.

"Who sent you here and where are you coming from?" The guard questioned and pulled me closer, placing a dagger to my throat.

"No one sent me here. I...I just wanted to leave the palace, I swear I am a maid" I was shaking so much, I could hardly control what was coming out of my mouth.

"If you are a maid then why do you want to leave?" He asked me not to take the dagger away from my throat.

"I dropped my earring and I just wanted to go in search of it. I am so sorry '' I stammered and I could feel the dagger piercing my skin the most.

"Take her to the dungeon until she speaks the truth" he pushed me away to one of the guards.

"Please I am telling the truth" I tried to resist them as they dragged me away.

They had succeeded in grabbing me by the hand and were already making their way out with me when two cars drove in unexpectedly.

Firing gunshots in the air, more than 7 men dressed in black stormed the place, heavily loaded and they began to raid the place in a rush.

One of them dragged me into the car. Being helpless and defenseless I had no other choice than to go along with them. Having silent prayer that whoever they are, they would be nicer than the king and his people.

Many guards tried to defend the palace but they shot at them and many of them got injured in the process. What was very strange was the fact that none of the men attempted the palace. They only drove in but they didn't even enter the building.

While I was still seated at the back of the vehicle one of them turned to me and my heart nearly flew out of my mouth.

"Are you hurt in any way, ma'am?" He asked me and I looked at him lost in my eyes.

"What?" I exclaimed. Maybe he had lost his senses. Because that would be the last question any kidnapper would ask their victim.

He wanted to tell me something but was silenced by the ringing of his phone.

"Yes ma'am, we have her safe and sound, we are on our way to you" he responded and ended the call at once. He didn't seem to be familiar with whoever he was talking to.

"Have some water please" he handed me a cold bottle of water.

I wanted to turn it down but it was so tasty and I could feel my throat cracking. I had to take the water because in this life something must surely kill a man. Whether I drink the water or not, I'm still gonna die if the time comes, I just don't want the death to be a painful one.

The cars finally came to a halt, I only noticed that when the car in front of us was motionless. I could hardly feel if ours was moving or not, my entire body was too shaken.

"Please come down. '' The man went to open the door for me and I began to wonder if I was kidnapped by a billionaire or something. It would be so cool though, I mean I know I'm in love with Mason or could Mason be a secret billionaire?

"Now miss" he urged me and snapped me back to my senses, not in a rush though. He was very gentle and we'll mannered.

I don't know if my eyes were deceiving but I saw Mara's car up front.

"Thank you so much, I am glad that I can always count on you to come through for me" Mara was thanking the man who saluted her and went his way.

"Don't even ask here, we need to get our butts out of here. Lakshmi and the boys are already waiting for us at Lakshmi's house" Mara stopped me from asking her any further questions, should I just tell her that I am still going to ask her at the end of the day?.

I got into the front seat and wore my seatbelt.

"Hi" I heard Mia's voice from behind and I nearly had a heart attack. My mind wasn't settled yet.

She hugged my head because that was the only part of my body that was available to her.

Aww...you missed me so much?" I asked her.

"Nobody missed you, we just didn't want you to go get yourself killed," Mara said, still focusing her eyes on the road.

"You know there is nothing like your sister right?" I told her, trying to sound offensive but my words didn't even have the slightest effect on her.

"No, I am not and you should be thankful for that because if I were to be like her then your a*s would be six greet below by now" she scoffed and smiled wickedly not facing me, she didn't take her eyes off the road at any time.

"Better just remain focused on the road, I just escaped death. I wouldn't want to experience another horrible event" I frowned.

"Yeah, I will take that as a *thank you, Mara, I am indeed grateful to you for saving my life* " she rolled her eyes and made a turn.

"Yeh yeh yeh...just drive" I put my lips on and looked out the window.

"I'm also here too, '' Mia said in a low tone.

Probably, she felt like she was missing out but I didn't see anything good. She was missing her sister and was being a complete jerk.

"She isn't a jerk, she is just that way. She likes you" Mia said and threw the front mirror in the car I could see the smile on her face.

Mara tried to look away and hide the smile on her face, but it ended up showing at the end of the day. Her smile seemed to be contagious as we all ended up smiling at each other.

Rose's POV

Lakshmi's POV

"I thought you girls had already found a comfortable place in the palace where you were going to spend the rest of your life, '' I said the moment I saw Mia, Mara, and Rose walk into the sitting room. Scott and Ethane just kept silent, they knew better than to interfere in any of our little banters

"Ha ha, very funny" Mara fakes a laugh and throws herself on the couch.

"So how was it?" I inquired as one of my maids served them some drinks.

"Little red riding hood here, almost got murdered" Mara talked pointing her fingers at the rose.

"Are you serious?" I dropped the glass of juice that I was holding and watched as Rose rejected the water that was offered to her.

"Point of correction. I nearly got imprisoned in the dungeon and not murdered" rose her lisp and I kinda found it cute.

"Mason wouldn't like to hear that" Mara teased her and we all laughed, except Mia who didn't understand what was even funny.

"So, while you girls were busy escaping. We have already connected to the camera. To be honest with you Rose, you did a very great job and you deserve some accolades for that. We can view every corner of the room." I brought out my laptop to show them what I meant.

"Wait! She only planted the cameras in the room" Mara sounded pissed.

"Yes, the room I reckon Banshee stays in and the room Louis stays in. These are the only places we need to be monitoring, or do you want cameras elsewhere so you will see how the guards and maids f*ck each other?" I made a joke and Mara didn't do it quite well.

"So for how long are we going to be monitoring them?" Ethane asked a very reasonable question.

"For as long as it would take for us to know when we should strike. I know it won't take too long" I replied to him, keeping the laptop down.

"This ain't going to be an easy task," Scott said and I couldn't agree less.

"Let's send more protesters again" Mara suggested but that was a bad idea.

"Or we can just use you and Mia to confuse them. Like you both can be in two places and they would just think it is only one person. Doing that might make her stress her powers and herself more than she can handle '' Rose said I have the idea but how are we going to do that?.

" I heard there is a prince. Rose was smiling, and I wondered what was so special about a king having a son. "There is always a prince and how does this affect the issue at hand?" I asked her, trying my best not to sound rude but I couldn't help but call a spade a spade.

"She probably wants to seduce the prince," Mara laughed.

Louis's POV

"You are all useless, even while you are running. You couldn't even check to see if I was still behind you" I threw my shoe at the isles guards I had hired.

All they do is take my money and leave me with half-done jobs.

"Your highness I have to tell you something" one of the guards drew my attention and the rest took their leave out of shame.

"What is it?" I turned to him and kept my hopes up that he wouldn't annoy me anymore.

"There was a girl here" he started with that and took a pause.

"So what is so special about her?" I looked at home with so much concentration. I always take him more seriously than my other guards.

"She...I don't know your highness but I find her very suspicious. She came here in the disguise of a maid and when we were about to put her in the dungeon for you to come and pass the final judgment. The palace was raided by unknown men '' he was talking and then paused to catch his breath.

"Was anybody in the palace harmed?" I questioned him, standing up from my throne and walking up to him. Not to scare him or anything, but I just needed to get more comfortable. Sitting down only built up more anxiety in me.

"Tell me" I persuaded him some more. The silence had stayed for far too long.

"No one was wearing a shirt, we tried our best to protect everyone in the palace. Although there was a short power outage, the queen and the prince are okay" he took a bow.

"You may leave" I sent him out.

There is something wrong here, all these events just can't happen in one day. I ran to Banshee to get an answer but she was still unconscious, she hadn't regained consciousness yet and my entire body suddenly became weak. How long was it going to take for her to regain herself? Things are going wrong and I can hardly do anything without her support.

Ethane's POV

I bent down and kissed her behind her ear while she sat on the couch watching TV late at night.

"Stop...mum is gonna catch us" she warned me and tried to push me away but I was just too stubborn even for her.

"Mum has given us her concent. So, unless you want us to keep playing high school lovers who have to keep their relationship away from their parents then let me have my way please" I got comfortable beside her and placed my head in her lap.

"You are just too much for me m" hse began to pet my hair.

"That's better" I released my breath and let her massage my head.

"I have waited so long for this day, it felt like I was waiting my entire life. '' I confessed to her with a bulge that was forming in my throat.

"Why?" She asked me.

"Because you pushing me away for too long. You just didn't want me to get close to you, even though it was a romantic relationship, I still didn't get your love.

"Hello!!, I'm a lady, what do you expect? But that is not where my why is coming from. I mean why didn't you go for someone else? You Are a very rich and influential billionaire, young and attractive too. Many ladies in your class and beyond would kill to have you, so why didn't you just pick one of me?'' I don't know why she was asking me this but I felt like it was a trap.

"I don't know, maybe I am just attracted to hot lawyers" I smirked as I brought her lips closer to mine.

"Nope, I am not going to kiss you until you answer my question. And if you are only able to answer me next year then I am sorry because you will have to wait until next year to have my kiss" she put on her lower lip. Knowing fully well that he was already driving me crazy.

"You have your special way of getting what you want, don't you?" I found myself saying.

"Yes, I do" gave me such a plain reply, with that look of victory stamped on her face.

"Now, I see why you are such a successful lawyer. You are good with manipulations" I shook my head.

"Your honor, I plead guilty," she said and we both laughed.

"Because no matter how hard I tried I just couldn't find a girl like you. They were just not you, it's only you I wanted and only you I still want, I will only want and need you for the rest of my life" I smiled at her and answered honestly from the bottom of my heart.

"Sorry but it's time for you both to go to bed, we have a movie to watch" Mara's mum came with Catherine.

"But there is a TV in both your rooms" Mara tried to put up a fight.

"Hello, Missy, this isn't a courtroom where you have rights. I said I want to watch the movie with Catherine here and that is final '' her mom was so strict.

"Right Catherine?" She asked.

"Of course" Catherine's reply was sweet yet bitter.

We stood up to take our leave when we heard her shout.

"Don't f*ck her brains out yet. She would need them in the courtroom"

I saw Mara's cheek turn completely red and I just had to imagine f* her. But not yet, she wasn't ready.

Lakshmi's POV

"Little red riding hood here, almost got murdered" Mara talked pointing her fingers at the rose.

"Are you serious?" I dropped the glass of juice that I was holding and watched as Rose rejected the water that was offered to her.

"Point of correction. I nearly got imprisoned in the dungeon and not murdered" rose her lisp and I kinda found it cute.

"Mason wouldn't like to hear that" Mara teased her and we all laughed, except Mia who didn't understand what was even funny.

"So, while you girls were busy escaping. We have already connected to the camera. To be honest with you Rose, you did a very great job and you deserve some accolades for that. We can view every corner of the room." I brought out my laptop to show them what I meant.

"Wait! She only planted the cameras in the room" Mara sounded pissed.

"Yes, the room I reckon Banshee stays in and the room Louis stays in. These are the only places we need to be monitoring, or do you want cameras elsewhere so you will see how the guards and maids f*ck each other?" I made a joke and Mara didn't do it quite well.

"So for how long are we going to be monitoring them?" Ethane asked a very reasonable question.

"For as long as it would take for us to know when we should strike. I know it won't take too long" I replied to him, keeping the laptop down.

"This ain't going to be an easy task," Scott said and I couldn't agree less.

"Let's send more protesters again" Mara suggested but that was a bad idea.

"Or we can just use you and Mia to confuse them. Like you both can be in two places and they would just think it is only one person. Doing that might make her stress her powers and herself more than she can handle '' Rose said I have the idea but how are we going to do that?.

" I heard there is a prince. Rose was smiling, and I wondered what was so special about a king having a son. "There is always a prince and how does this affect the issue at hand?" I asked her, trying my best not to sound rude but I couldn't help but call a spade a spade.

"She probably wants to seduce the prince," Mara laughed.

Louis's POV

"You are all useless, even while you are running. You couldn't even check to see if I was still behind you" I threw my shoe at the isles guards I had hired.

All they do is take my money and leave me with half-done jobs.

"Your highness I have to tell you something" one of the guards drew my attention and the rest took their leave out of shame.

"What is it?" I turned to him and kept my hopes up that he wouldn't annoy me anymore.

"There was a girl here" he started with that and took a pause.

"So what is so special about her?" I looked at home with so much concentration. I always take him more seriously than my other guards.

"She...I don't know your highness but I find her very suspicious. She came here in the disguise of a maid and when we were about to put her in the dungeon for you to come and pass the final judgment. The palace was raided by unknown men '' he was talking and then paused to catch his breath.

"Was anybody in the palace harmed?" I questioned him, standing up from my throne and walking up to him. Not to scare him or anything, but I just needed to get more comfortable. Sitting down only built up more anxiety in me.

"Tell me" I persuaded him some more. The silence had stayed for far too long.

"No one was wearing a shirt, we tried our best to protect everyone in the palace. Although there was a short power outage, the queen and the prince are okay" he took a bow.

"You may leave" I sent him out.

There is something wrong here, all these events just can't happen in one day. I ran to Banshee to get an answer but she was still unconscious, she hadn't regained consciousness yet and my entire body suddenly became weak. How long was it going to take for her to regain herself? Things are going wrong and I can hardly do anything without her support.

Ethane's POV

I bent down and kissed her behind her ear while she sat on the couch watching TV late at night.

"Stop...mum is gonna catch us" she warned me and tried to push me away but I was just too stubborn even for her.

"Mum has given us her concent. So, unless you want us to keep playing high school lovers who have to keep their relationship away from their parents then let me have my way please" I got comfortable beside her and placed my head in her lap.

"You are just too much for me m" hse began to pet my hair.

"That's better" I released my breath and let her massage my head.

"I have waited so long for this day, it felt like I was waiting my entire life. '' I confessed to her with a bulge that was forming in my throat.

"Why?" She asked me.

"Because you pushing me away for too long. You just didn't want me to get close to you, even though it was a romantic relationship, I still didn't get your love.

"Hello!!, I'm a lady, what do you expect? But that is not where my why is coming from. I mean why didn't you go for someone else? You Are a very rich and influential billionaire, young and attractive too. Many ladies in your class and beyond would kill to have you, so why didn't you just pick one of me?'' I don't know why she was asking me this but I felt like it was a trap.

"I don't know, maybe I am just attracted to hot lawyers" I smirked as I brought her lips closer to mine.

"Nope, I am not going to kiss you until you answer my question. And if you are only able to answer me next year then I am sorry because you will have to wait until next year to have my kiss" she put on her lower lip. Knowing fully well that he was already driving me crazy.

"You have your special way of getting what you want, don't you?" I found myself saying.

"Yes, I do" gave me such a plain reply, with that look of victory stamped on her face.

"Now, I see why you are such a successful lawyer. You are good with manipulations" I shook my head.

"Your honor, I plead guilty," she said and we both laughed.

"Because no matter how hard I tried I just couldn't find a girl like you. They were just not you, it's only you I wanted and only you I still want, I will only want and need you for the rest of my life" I smiled at her and answered honestly from the bottom of my heart.

"Sorry but it's time for you both to go to bed, we have a movie to watch" Mara's mum came with Catherine.

"But there is a TV in both your rooms" Mara tried to put up a fight.

"Hello, Missy, this isn't a courtroom where you have rights. I said I want to watch the movie with Catherine here and that is final '' her mom was so strict.

"Right Catherine?" She asked.

"Of course" Catherine's reply was sweet yet bitter.

We stood up to take our leave when we heard her shout.

"Don't f*ck her brains out yet. She would need them in the courtroom"

I saw Mara's cheek turn completely red and I just had to imagine f* her. But not yet, she wasn't ready.
