Bella was trying to escape from the men who had suddenly grabbed her into a quiet street while on her way home from work.

"Don't come closer " She shivered on fear as the three of them walked slowly towards her after dragging her to a corner.

She looked around and saw that the street was very quiet as expected because it was known to be the hideouts of criminal roaming around the city.

This men were clearly going to hurt her.

"Pretty girl, come closer" one of the men said as he had an evil smirk on his ugly face.

"We promise to be gentle" The second said. His own face looked like it was curved with a sharp knife. It looked awful .

"Please don't come closer to me, I beg you. You can have my purse, I have a couple of cash in it." She pleaded with them but it seems that they were only focused on her body.

She moved backwards trying to stay away from them. Just as she planned to run, one of the men grabbed her hand and whispered lustfully to her " Let's play a little game it won't hurt"

She continued to struggle with the men preventing them from doing anything to her but her fight only excited them.

" Who dares to touch her?"

A voice suddenly resounded in the corners of the silent street making the men loose their hold on her.

They all looked towards the area where the voice came from.

A formidable Old man stood by the road with four hefty and scaring looking guards by his side and he was holding a walk stick in his hand.

"What???That's Old man Perry!!!" One of the men exclaimed in surprise.

He was the grandfather of Jake Perry, one of the richest men in Europe. He was one of the most eligible bachelor and richest one too.

Jake Perry was in fact the richest bachelor in the whole of Europe and had various profitable businesses around the world.

Jake was the Chairman of Perry group of Industries, industries like the Finance Industry, the Property Industry, the large-scale malls, the Jewelry Industry and electric commercials.

He is also involved in e- sports.

She recognized the old man immediately. He was the same Old man she helped while working at the restaurant. He wasn't with any cash to pay for the fruit juice he drank so she paid for him and helped him cross the express. Who would have thought that he was a man of great reputation?.

She was working as a shop attendant in a restaurant in other to sponsor herself as well as her younger through their education and also cater for their other needs.

"I will forgive all three of you this time if you immediately let her go peacefully and walk away from here or I can handle this situation the hard way which will not end well for you three" The Old man's voice was surprisingly thick and strong for a man his age.

The thugs knew that the old man could easily carry out his threats because of his huge connection In the country which would not be favourable for them at all.

Life would be far worst for them if that happens.

" Yes sir" They all chorused and ran with their tails in-between their legs.

Bella was relieved to see the men run away. She finally breathed out in Joy after seeing this Old man walk towards her with his guards behind him.

"Are you Ok my dear?' The old man asked and stretched his hand towards her to assist her stand up.

" Thank you Sir, I'm so grateful " She thanked him and stood up and dusted her clothes.

" You are welcome dear" The old man said to her as he watched her carefully. She was very different from the other women he had tried to introduce to his grandson.

He took note of her when he went to a Restaurant without any guards to avoid his identity being revealed. He was treated rather badly by her colleague but she was able to resolve the matter and even assisted him by paying the pills and helping him cross the road later on.

She was the perfect Lady for Jake, his grandson but he needed to gain her trust.

"My child, where were you going to?" He asked in a warm manner.

Bella was comfortable with the Old man especially since he just saved her from being raped by those things not long ago.

" Well Sir, I was going home after work" Bella replied with a smile.

"Ok! Let me take you there for your safety. It's already late". The Old man suggested to Bella.

"Thank you sir " Bella thanked him again and followed him to his car.

After all, who knew if the thugs would wait for the Old man to leave first before they followed her again.

They both walked towards an expensive car.When Bella saw the car, her mouth fell open.

This was Bugatti La Voiture Noire, damn!

This car cost approximately $18.7million , What??

The Old man was truly the Grandfather of a Billionaire, this car could buy her life without any negotiation.

One of the guards opened the door for the both of them . Immediately she entered the car, it's cozy space made her feel like she was in heaven. What an experience for a poor girl like her .

"feel comfortable my dear" The old man said and smiled at her with his full dentition in view.

"Thank you once again Sir for your help" Bella thanked him.

"You are welcome dear but can I get your contact after dropping you at your place to discuss business" The Old man asked. He was very anxious about what her response would be.

After all she only met him today, but he had her best interest at heart.

"Ok sir, I trust you because you saved me from harm today and I will forever be grateful to you " Bella said with a smile.

Bella brought out her phone and exchanged contact with the Old man who was glad to have her number.

When they got to Bella's house, she got down from the car and thanked the Old man for the ride home.

"well, is this the place you live?" The Old man asked as he had a frown on his face when he saw her shabby the place was. It was a house for many people and it made it unconductive for a young lady like her.

"It's not safe for a young and responsible lady like her" He thought to himself as he didn't want her to see him like a person who judged her because she lived in a shabby place. It was probably because of her finance that she had to live here.

"yes sir but I plan on moving out very soon" Bella answered in all honesty.

"ok! but please be available tomorrow, so we can talk" He told her as his frown had vanished.

"Alright sir, I will be off from work tomorrow and will surely be around"

She found out that she was very comfortable with the Old man and felt free to speak and discuss with him about anything .

"Sleep tight my dear and see you tomorrow by God's grace" The Old man waved her goodbye and drove away with his men.

Bella sighed and walked into the compound to her everyday home, but as she walked to the area of her apartment, she saw a man resting close to the door of her apartment as if waiting for her.

Or let's say he was indeed waiting for her .

She saw his silver shining wrist watch and already knew who he was. That asshole!!

"How dare that bastard come to her house after what he did?

She walked angrily towards him with her apartment key in hand.

As if the young man noticed her presence, he straightened up and wanted to walk towards her but her next words as she reached him stopped him in his tracks "What the hell are you doing here Henry? I have warned you never to come close to me ever again"

Bella's words were fueled with anger. How dare the rascal even come to her apartment?

What did he want this time? Like always, a stupid apology.

"Bella please listen to me I can explain, I just need a minute with you" The man is identified as Henry Lan. The ex boyfriend of Bella.

"Don't you dare call my name or even ask for an audience with me" Bella was furious at Henry . Guy who had the effrontery to cheat on her with his so-called Bestie.

" I'm so sorry for what happened. I swear it was never my intention to have anything to do with Ava. She seduced me" Henry was still standing close to the door .

Bella pushes him away from the door and inspected the key and opened the door ignoring Henry.

When Henry saw that he was not getting her attention, he tried to grab her hand but she was quick to avoid him

" Please respect yourself and stay away from me"

"please Bella, I beg you speak to me" Henry pleaded with her.

Bella after opening the door turned to face him and said in disappointment "You disgust me, I may have had doubts about you but I pushed that thoughts out of my mind so many times because I thought that I might be suffocating you with being so protective but to you I was being jealous. I was the stupid one who thought that you will be those exceptional men who would not be seduced by girls like Ava. But I was wrong "

"I was stupid, I know" Henry said.

"Well maybe we were not meant to be" Bella said and closed the door to his face.

Henry was surprised with how Bella just treated him. She even banged the door to his face. oh No!

This is bad. He has really mess it up this time .

He knocked the door but there was no response.

" Bella, I swear I'm very sorry for what happened. It was never my intention to hurt you. It will never again sweetheart please" He sounded pitiful .

" Get the hell away from my door" Bella's angry voice was heard outside.

He was so stupid to have ignored all Bella's warnings about Ava. Though he knew that Ava had feelings for him but he never thought that it was going to end this way. "What have I done?" he asked himself.

"Bella, please we need to talk even if it's for a minute.please" He begged her outside the door.

The lock of the door opened and Bella appeared looking simple and beautiful per usual. Henry was lost in her eyes and how beautiful she was.

"If you are here to stare at me then why not go home to look at Ava" Her tone was very sharp and unapologetic.

"I'm sorry for that , but can we talk inside please?" He asked nervously after regaining his composion. He was having sweaty hands as a result.

"Fine! but you only have ten minutes and after that I want you out" Bella said and shifted away from the door allowing him inside the room.

Henry stared at the room . It was not the first time that he has entered inside her room but the room now looked foreign to him. Before, around the room were pictures of both of them together either smiling or watching a movie together or celebrating a date special to them.

But now, the pictures hung around the room was pictures of her alone or with her brother .

All those precious memories of them together have all been erased from the room .

"Have your seat or do you prefer standing?" Her question jolted him out of his thoughts. She was now cold to him. She sat down opposite him but was not even looking at him like he was looking at her.

"what do you have to say? I don't have the whole time to waste" She said and folded her hands in her chest waiting for his response.

"I'm sorry for disappointing you and making you feel awful"

"I'm sorry for cheating on you with my so-called Bestie"

"I'm sorry for not believing you when you told me that she had feelings for me"

"I'm sorry for..."

"For what else? " Her words interrupted him leaving him speechless to continue.

Bella looked at him now and he saw the tears in her eyes struggling not to fall.

" I loved you with my spirit and soul but you betrayed me for a woman whom I warned you about severally about"

Bella's tears gave way and it felt like he finally broke her heart.

" but you know what, I have learnt to forgive you for what happened but I will never forget how you betrayed me" Her words were strong and firm. It simply meant that she was not in love with him anymore.

" Henry , please I have moved on and I advise you to do the same or else you will only hurt yourself the more" Bella said her final words to him and stood up to open the door for him signalling him that it was time to leave.

" I'm sorry once again for hurting you and wish you best of luck from now on " Henry said and with a heavy heart stood up and walked out of her apartment.

Immediately she closed the door, he covered his face with his palm and cried at how stupid he was to lose such a wonderful woman like Bella.

As soon as Henry left, she sighed in relief for the second time.

" Finally, I'm free" She said to herself and went inside the bathroom to shower .

All through the time she was in the bathroom, she thought about the Old man and what business he wants to discuss with her.

"oh how I wish to be a billionaire?"

She suddenly remembered her younger brother Peter and her plans to call him after she has gotten home

She took her phone from the bed post and dialed Peter's number. It rang for a while before he finally answered the phone.

"Hello sister" His gentle voice was heard . Bella smiled at how her brother's voice could put a smile on her face almost immediately .

" Hi handsome, how are you doing?" she asked him as she balanced well on the bed and faced the ceiling.

" I'm fine sister, I should be the one asking about you especially since You just broke up with that Jerk Henry last week " Peter was obviously worried about how she was handling the break-up.

Peter was never in support of her relationship with Henry and was furious when he found out that Henry had cheated on her but he was glad that the whole relationship didn't work out.

In their previous calls, Peter could not stop cursing Henry and how much he wanted to punch him on the face.

Peter was only two years younger than her but he loved his sister very much and respected her especially if it concerns her personal matters.

" Forget him, let's talk about you and how school is. I know that you may be far away but I want you to know that I will always be here for you and keep in touch " Bella said.

Bella was not happy that she could not see

Peter always but it was all for the betterment of both of them especially Peter.

Peter is studying medicine in New York City. Well that was the university that was very famous for producing the best of medical students. While she studies Accounting in California where she worked to fed for both of them.

"I know you care a lot about me and my school but don't you think that you are starting to forget to care for yourself and happiness? Sister please, I want you to worry about yourself more from now " Peter's heart was tearing at how much his sister worked and also go to college at the same time in other to cater for both of them.

"Don't worry about me Peter, I just want to focus on our studies and continue to be the best medical student in your school. And please don't keep any girlfriend for now" Bella advised him.

Peter laughed until eyes were in his eyes. His sister was indeed protective of him.

" I don't have a girlfriend sister so calm down for now" Peter said in-between his laughter.

Bella smiled and said" bye for now, I need to go to bed already "

" ok sister, Take care okay?" Peter said and the call went off.

Bella sighed I'm relief and turned off the light of the room only leaving a small space for the reflection of the moon to lighten the room up.

"Tomorrow is another day" she thought and dozed off.

Her alarm rang like it was possessed waking her up from her sleep. She weakly switched it off and her eyes gradually adjusted to the light in the room.

She yawned a d walked into the toilet to handle her business. She came out minutes later and saw her phone ringing out loudly.

" who could be calling her so early? definitely not het boss because she was off today"

It was a new number so there was no name attached to it.

She answered it and the person's voice was recognized immediately.

" Old man Perry"

" good morning sir" She greeted him respectfully.

" good morning Bella" she heard his excited voice over the phone .

" I want to tell that my driver will be coming over to pick you up from your place at 7:30 this morning, so please get ready" The man truly called like he said he was going to. That business he wanted to discuss most be very important then.

"Ok sir, I will ready by then. Thank you sir" She replied with a smile.

" Bye for now" The old man's voice came again and he finally terminated the call.

She screamed for joy and came down from the bed.

Who knows what was going to happen today???
