Chapter 1 Betrayal at the Hotel

Liam carried the stack of pizza boxes, weaving through the bustling hotel lobby. Suddenly, a familiar face caught his eye.

"Sonia?" Liam's brow furrowed as he approached the group of laughing people.

Sonia turned, her expression shifting from joy to surprise. "Liam? What are you doing here?"

Judith sneered, "Look who it is, the loser delivery boy." The others giggled behind their hands.

Dominic, a well-dressed man, sauntered over and placed his arm around Sonia's waist. "And who might this be?" he asked with a condescending tone.

Sonia glanced at Liam, then back at Dominic. "It's no one, just my ex-boyfriend. Liam, what do you want?"

Liam's jaw tightened. "I was just making a delivery. I didn't expect to..." His voice trailed off as he took in the scene.

"Well, don't let us keep you," Dominic said, pulling Sonia closer. "Run along now, delivery boy."

The group erupted in laughter, leaving Liam feeling deeply humiliated.

Liam's gaze shifted between Sonia and Dominic. "Sonia, what's going on? Who is this guy?"

Sonia rolled her eyes. "This is Dominic, my new boss. And my Lover" She paused, glancing up at Dominic.

"Ah, yes, I'm Sonia's new... everything," Dominic said smugly, tightening his grip on her.

Liam's heart sank as the realization hit him. "Your new... lover?" His voice trembled with a mix of hurt and disbelief.

Sonia nodded, a cruel smile playing on her lips. "That's right, Liam. Dominic is my boyfriend now." She reached up and removed the necklace Liam had given her, the one he had saved for months to buy. "Here, take your pitiful gift back. I don't need your poverty-stricken attempts to please me anymore."

Liam stared at the necklace as Sonia flung it at him. "Sonia, please, I thought we had something special. Remember when I gave you this? It was with my whole heart."

Judith scoffed, "Special? You were never good enough for her, Liam. Look at you, a lowly delivery boy. No wonder she dumped your sorry ass."

The group erupted in laughter, and Dominic chimed in, "Oh, is this the delivery loser ex-boyfriend you were telling me about, my dear?"

Liam's eyes narrowed, and he clenched his fists. "Delivery loser? I work hard to make an honest living. And you..." He pointed an accusing finger at Dominic. "You're just some rich, pompous bastard who thinks he can buy Sonia's affection."

Dominic's expression darkened. "Watch your tongue, boy. I could have you evacuated from this hotel and blacklisted from every delivery job in the city."

The tension in the air was palpable as the two men squared off, their confrontation drawing the attention of onlookers.

Dominic pulled Sonia close, and they shared a passionate kiss, their actions clearly intended to provoke Liam. Liam's face flushed with anger as he watched the display.

"So this is how it is, huh, Sonia?" Liam spat. "You dump me for this... this rich playboy?"

Sonia sneered, "That's right, Liam. Dominic is a real man, unlike you. He can give me the life I deserve, not some measly existence as a delivery boy."

Dominic chuckled, "Face it, son. You're simply not in our league. Why don't you just go back to delivering pizzas and leave the high-class living to those of us who can afford it?"

Liam's hands trembled with rage. "You think money makes you a man? All I see is a coward who has to buy his way into a relationship."

Dominic's expression darkened. "You are just a wretched fool, boy. I will make sure I deal with you personally and blacklisted from every delivery job in the city."

"Is that a threat?" Liam challenged, taking a step closer.

Sonia stepped between the two men, pushing Liam back. "Liam, you're pathetic. You'll never amount to anything. Just accept that you're a failure and leave us alone."

The words stung, and Liam's eyes narrowed. "A failure? I worked hard to buy you that necklace, Sonia. I saved for months to show you how much you meant to me."

Sonia scoffed, "Well, that was your first mistake. You thought a cheap piece of jewelry could buy my affection. Dominic showers me with expensive gifts and takes me to the finest restaurants. You could never compete with that."

The two men exchanged heated words, their argument growing more intense. Liam could feel his anger boiling over, and he knew he needed to get out of there before he did something he might regret.

Dominic sneered at Liam, "You know, if you're so desperate for money, maybe you should consider licking my ass. I could give you a job at my company, with a nice little $1,500 monthly salary. Of course, you'd have to be willing to do whatever I say."

Liam's jaw tightened, and he felt bile rising in his throat. "You want me to what? Lick your ass for a measly $1,500 a month? I'd rather starve than stoop that low."

Sonia laughed cruelly, "See, Liam? Dominic is a real man, not some pitiful delivery boy. He can give me the kind of life I deserve. You'll never be able to provide that for me."

Dominic chuckled, "Face it, Liam. You're nothing but a loser. A pathetic little delivery boy who can't even keep his own girlfriend satisfied. What makes you think you're good enough for someone like Sonia?"

Liam clenched his fists, the anger simmering inside him. "I gave you that necklace because I loved you, Sonia. And you throw it back in my face? You're nothing but a heartless, gold-digging bitch."

The words hung in the air, and the group fell silent, stunned by Liam's outburst. Sonia's eyes widened, and she slapped Liam hard across the face.

"How dare you!" she screamed. "Dominic is ten times the man you'll ever be. He can give me everything I want, and all you can offer is poverty and disappointment."

Dominic sneered, "Since that's the only thing you're good at, why don't you go get me a drink, delivery boy?"

Liam's face flushed with anger, but he bit his tongue, knowing he needed to get out of there quickly. He turned and headed for the nearest waiter, grabbing a glass of red wine.

As he approached Dominic, Liam's grip tightened around the glass. The humiliation and rage he felt were almost overwhelming.

"Here's your drink, sir," Liam spat, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Dominic reached out to take the glass, a smug grin on his face. But before he could grasp it, Liam hurled the contents of the glass directly into Dominic's face.

Chapter 2 Collision Course

Dominic gasped in shock, wine dripping down his expensive suit. "You insolent little-!"

Liam didn't give him a chance to finish. He reared back and planted a firm kick directly into Dominic's midsection, sending the man stumbling backward.

The hotel guests erupted into shocked gasps and murmurs as Dominic doubled over, clutching his stomach. Sonia let out a horrified shriek and rushed to his side.

"Security!" Dominic bellowed, his face flushed with fury. "Arrest that man!"

Liam knew he needed to get out of there before the hotel security arrived. Without a moment's hesitation, he turned and fled the scene, his heart pounding in his chest.

Liam's legs pumped furiously as he raced out of the hotel, the sound of Dominic's enraged shouts echoing behind him. Adrenaline coursed through his veins, driving him forward as he weaved through the crowded city streets on his delivery bike.

"Gotta get out of here, gotta get out of here," he muttered under his breath, his heart pounding in his ears.

As he approached a busy intersection, Liam glanced over his shoulder, desperately hoping he had lost his pursuers. But just as he turned his head back, a sleek, expensive-looking car careened around the corner, directly into his path.

Liam's eyes went wide, and he jammed on the brakes, but it was too late. The car slammed into the side of his bike, sending him tumbling through the air. He hit the pavement with a sickening thud, pain lancing through his body.

The car screeched to a halt, and the driver's side door flew open. A young man, no more than 20 years old, rushed to Liam's side.

"Oh my god, are you okay?" the young man cried, his face pale with shock.

Liam groaned, trying to push himself up, but the sharp pain in his leg told him it was broken. "I... I think my leg is broken," he said through gritted teeth.

The young man's eyes widened. "Crap, hold on! I'm going to call an ambulance!" He frantically pulled out his phone, his fingers shaking as he punched in the numbers.

As the sirens wailed in the distance, Liam's vision began to blur. The adrenaline was wearing off, and the pain was becoming increasingly unbearable. Before he slipped into unconsciousness, he caught a glimpse of the young man's face, his features etched with concern.

"Hang on young man, man," the young man said. "Help is on the way."

The steady beep of the hospital monitors filled the room as Liam lay unconscious, his leg bound in a cast. Jason, the young man who had hit Liam with his car, paced nervously beside the bed, his phone pressed to his ear.

"Dad, I'm at the hospital. There was an accident, and the guy... he's hurt pretty bad. I think his leg is broken," Jason said, his voice laced with concern.

On the other end of the line, Michael, Jason's father, a wealthy businessman, quickly responded. "What? Are you alright, son? What happened?"

"I'm fine, Dad, but the other guy... I didn't see him, and I hit him with my car. He's unconscious, and the doctors are taking care of him," Jason explained, his gaze fixed on Liam's motionless form.

Michael's tone shifted from worry to authority. "Stay there, Jason. I'm on my way. We need to make sure this is handled properly."

As the call ended, Jason pulled a chair up to Liam's bedside, his brow furrowed with worry. He studied the man's features, taking in the bruises and cuts that marred his face.

"I'm really sorry, man," Jason murmured. "I didn't mean for this to happen."

Liam remained still, his breathing steady but shallow. Jason reached out and gently placed a hand on Liam's arm, a gesture of empathy and guilt.

Time passed, and eventually, the door to the room burst open, and Michael strode in, his expression stern. "Jason, what happened?"

Jason quickly explained the situation, describing how he had accidentally hit Liam with his car. Michael listened intently, his brow furrowed.

"Well, son, it seems like an unfortunate accident. But we need to make sure this is handled properly." Michael's gaze shifted to Liam's unconscious form. "Have the doctors provided any updates?"

Jason shook his head. "No, they're still examining him. But Dad, I feel really bad about this. He looked like he was in a hurry, and I just didn't see him."

Michael studied his son's concerned expression, a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "I see. Well, I suppose the least we can do is make sure he's well taken care of." He turned to the nurse, who had just entered the room. "Excuse me, how is the patient doing?"

The nurse offered a reassuring smile. "He's stable, but the leg will need surgery to repair the break. We'd like to keep him here for observation overnight."

Michael nodded, his gaze shifting back to Jason. "Very well. I'd like to make sure this young man has everything he needs during his recovery. Make the necessary arrangements."

Jason's eyes widened in surprise. "You mean, you want to help him?"

Michael placed a hand on his son's shoulder. "It's the right thing to do, Jason. And who knows, this could be an opportunity to make a new friend."

Over the next week, Liam's recovery progressed steadily. The surgery to repair his broken leg had been a success, and the doctors were pleased with his progress. Throughout his stay, Jason had been a constant presence, visiting regularly and checking on Liam's well-being.

One day, as Liam was packing up his belongings, ready to be discharged, Jason entered the room with a warm smile.

"Hey, man, how are you feeling?" Jason asked, his voice laced with genuine concern.

Liam returned the smile, albeit a bit hesitantly. "I'm doing much better, thanks to the excellent care here. I can't thank you enough for getting me help so quickly."

Jason waved his hand dismissively. "Don't mention it. I'm just glad you're going to be okay." He paused, then continued, "Hey, listen, my dad and I were hoping you'd come over to our place for dinner tonight, you know, to celebrate your recovery."

Liam's eyes widened in surprise. "Your dad? I mean, I appreciate the offer, but I don't want to impose-"

"Nah, man, it's no imposition at all," Jason interrupted. "My dad actually insisted on it. He feels really bad about the accident and wants to make sure you're taken care of."

Liam studied Jason's face, searching for any hint of deception. "Your dad, huh? I don't mean to pry, but what does your family do?"

Chapter 3 An Unexpected Invitation

Jason chuckled. "Oh, right, I probably should have mentioned that. My dad, Michael, he's the CEO of one of the biggest tech companies in the city. We're... well, we're kind of a big deal around here."

Liam's jaw dropped in disbelief. "The CEO of a tech company? Wow, I had no idea. Are you sure it's okay for me to come to your house? I don't want to intrude on your family's privacy."

Jason waved his hand dismissively. "Trust me, it's no problem. My dad insists, and he's not the kind of guy you say no to." He grinned. "Plus, I think he's taken a liking to you. So, what do you say? Dinner at the Anderson mansion tonight?"

Liam hesitated for a moment, his mind racing. This was a far cry from the world he was used to, but the thought of a warm meal and friendly company was enticing. Finally, he nodded. "Alright, I'll come. Thank you, Jason. I really appreciate this."

Jason beamed. "Awesome! I'll let my dad know. He'll be thrilled. Just be ready to be wowed – our place is pretty impressive."

Liam chuckled, a sense of nervous anticipation building within him. As he followed Jason out of the hospital, he couldn't help but wonder what this unexpected invitation had in store for him.

Jason gave him their house address and as he was finally discharged from the hospital, Jason carried him to his apartment, and later zoomed off.

it was about 9pm in the evening Liam stood nervously in front of the towering gates of the Anderson mansion, his worn jeans and old polo shirt feeling out of place in the upscale neighborhood. He double-checked the address Jason had given him, his heart racing with a mix of anticipation and trepidation.

"This is it," he muttered, taking a deep breath before pressing the intercom button.

A few moments later, a voice crackled through the speaker. "Anderson residence, how may I help you?"

"Uh, hi, my name is Liam. Jason invited me for dinner tonight," he replied, trying to sound confident.

"Ah, yes, Mr. Liam. Please, come in," the voice responded, and the gates swung open before him.

Liam made his way up the long, winding driveway, his eyes widening as he took in the grandeur of the Anderson family's estate. The sprawling mansion stood tall, its elegant architecture a testament to the wealth and influence of its owners.

As he approached the front door, it swung open, and Jason greeted him with a warm smile. "Liam! I'm so glad you could make it. Come on in, my dad's been looking forward to meeting you."

Liam stepped inside, feeling slightly out of place as he took in the lavish surroundings. "This place is incredible, Jason. I... I don't know what to say."

Jason chuckled, "Wait until you see the rest of it. Come on, let me introduce you to my dad."

He led Liam through the opulent foyer and into a spacious living room, where a well-dressed man stood waiting. "Dad, this is Liam. Liam, this is my father, Michael Anderson."

Michael approached Liam, a warm smile on his face. "Liam, it's a pleasure to finally meet you. I'm so glad you could join us for dinner tonight."

Liam extended his hand, trying to appear confident. "The pleasure is all mine, Mr. Anderson. Thank you for inviting me into your home."

Michael grasped Liam's hand firmly. "Please, call me Michael. And don't be so formal – we're just a regular family here."

Liam nodded, feeling a little more at ease. "Thank you, Michael. I really appreciate your hospitality."

Suddenly, a voice called out from the top of the grand staircase. "Dad, Jason, who's that?"

Liam turned to see a young woman descending the stairs, her eyes locked on him with a curious expression.

"Ah, Lily, come meet our guest," Michael said, gesturing to Liam. "This is Liam, the young man Jason told you about."

Lily approached Liam, a coy smile on her lips. "It's nice to meet you, Liam. I must say, you're not quite what I expected."

Liam felt a slight flush creep up his neck. "It's a pleasure to meet you too, Lily. I hope I'm not intruding on your family's evening."

"Not at all," Lily purred, her gaze lingering on Liam. "In fact, I think this is going to be a very interesting night."

Unbeknownst to Liam, a pair of eyes watched the interaction from the shadows, a devious plan taking shape.

As Liam stood in the lavish Anderson living room, he couldn't help but feel slightly out of place. Suddenly, another figure emerged from the hallway, eyeing Liam with a cool, appraising gaze.

"And who might this be?" the young man asked, his tone laced with disdain.

That was Alex the step brother to Jason, he could recognize Liam as he was with Dominic his friend on the hotel the previous time Liam was humiliated.

Michael turned to the newcomer, a hint of a sigh escaping his lips. "Ah, Alex, there you are. This is Liam, the young man I told you about."

Alex's brow furrowed as he glanced between Liam and his family members. "This... Liam?" He emphasized the name with a sneer. "What's he doing here?"

Jason stepped forward, placing a hand on Liam's shoulder. "Liam was in an accident, Alex. I hit him with my car, and Dad wanted to make sure he was taken care of."

Alex's lips twisted into a sardonic smile. "How... noble of you. But I can't help but wonder, what exactly qualifies this delivery boy to be invited into our home?"

Liam felt his hackles rise at the derogatory tone, but he forced himself to remain calm. "I'm sorry if my presence is an imposition, Alex. I can leave if-"

"No, no, please stay," Lily interjected, her eyes gleaming with a mischievous intent. "We're all family here, and we should welcome our guests with open arms."

Alex's gaze narrowed as he studied Liam, his mind clearly working overtime. "Of course, Lily. We wouldn't want our guest to feel unwelcome."

Liam couldn't shake the uneasy feeling that was slowly building in the pit of his stomach. There was something about the way Alex and Lily were looking at him that set him on edge.

As the group made their way to the dining room, Liam couldn't help but overhear a hushed conversation between Alex and a figure hidden in the shadows.

"Are you sure you can pull this off?" Alex murmured, his voice laced with a hint of trepidation.

"Trust me, little brother," a familiar voice responded, "by the time I'm done, that delivery boy will be out of our lives for good."

Liam's blood ran cold as he recognized the voice – it was Dominic, the man who had so cruelly humiliated him at the hotel. Suddenly, the pieces began to fall into place, and Liam realized he might be walking into a trap.
