"Loy .... Run!" Emi said loudly.
"No Emi. I will stay with you forever. Here, with you," Loye replied softly.
"Loy! For the last time, please listen to me." Emilyn wailed.
"I don't care. My life is only for you Emi, remember that! After all, we've...,"
Craaash
"No! Loye wake up!"
Emilyn woke up from her dream, the same dream repeated for the umpteenth time. Loye, still alive in Emilyn's arms.
Emilyn swore a little harshly, "Damn it! I had that dream again."
Emilyn's head really hurt now. Plus, the image of a handsome man with green irises was clearly imprinted in Emilyn's mind.
"Come on Em. It's just the past, he's just an ordinary human," Emilyn said irritably.
The sentence Emilyn had just said was clearly a lie. There was no way she could forget that man. The man who had made her understand how it felt to be loved so deeply.
Tes
"No! I can't cry," Emilyn said softly.
Emilyn wiped her tears repeatedly. It was midnight but Emilyn was awake from her sleep. Loye was still alive in Emilyn's mind. She couldn't forget the memories of them together. Although Emilyn often said she didn't need a man to love.
Tok tok tok
A loud knock on the door broke Emilyn's reverie.
"Midnight? Seriously," Emilyn was annoyed.
"What's wrong?" asked Emilyn.
Emilyn's question was accompanied by her opening the door a little loudly.
"Are you okay?" asked the man.
"Come in!"
Emilyn looked away in disgust. The man who knocked on her door in the middle of the night was no one else but her eldest brother.
"Hey! You haven't answered my question yet," he entered Emilyn's room.
"Never mind James! You're just wasting my time. Don't ask so many questions. You should work harder," annoyed Emilyn.
James exhaled heavily. He understood his sister's character very well. Instead of assenting to Emilyn's words, James chose to sit on sofa.
"Hem ... for sure dreaming about Loye again, right?" James probed with narrowed eyes.
Emilyn immediately turned her face away, surprised by the truth of James' words.
"Don't meddle too much in my business," Emilyn retorted a little nervously.
"Never mind. You can't lie to me, I know it."James looked deep into Emilyn's eyes with many questions.
"Even you dream again, it doesn't matter. I know your condition," continued James.
"Enough James!" snapped Emilyn.
Emilyn raised her voice, she was so fed up with people who seemed to care about her.
"Take care of yourself and your romance."
"All I ask is that you take care of the sycophants in our company." Emilyn walked away from James. Her heart a little frantic, she headed to the swimming pool to calm her fighting mind.
Tik
Flames rose from the cigarette lighter Emilyn had lit. A puff of smoke started coming out of her tiny mouth. Coughing slightly, she continued to suck strongly on the cigarette that was now stuck to her lips.
"Damn! How unfortunate my fate is," Emilyn growled to herself.
The subject of Loye continued to haunt him. Loye's figure made Emilyn so dizzy with the life he had to continue for who knows how long.
Drrrt
Reaching into his pocket, Emilyn picked up the flat object.
"Yes, what is it?" asked Emilyn lazily.
"Where are you Em?" said someone on the other side.
"Hem...," Emilyn just mumbled, knowing what the other person would say next.
"I'll call you later."
Tut....
Emilyn disconnected the call unilaterally. She threw away the lit cigarette in her hand and stomped on it roughly.
"Oh my God! What to do this time," Emilyn said, ruffling her long wavy hair.
Her long wavy hair was so alluring to the opposite sex. The Lycan blood flowing in her body blended in perfectly. However, it was a disaster for Emilyn.
Emilyn returned to her room. The first sight she saw was James, the annoying guy.
"HUH!" Emilyn snorted in annoyance when she saw James' shameless face.
"What do you want again," Emilyn said slamming the door to her room.
"Wow! Don't get emotional. Look at that door!" he was shocked to see the door to Emilyn's room instantly shattered.
"You better get out of here! Before you meet the same fate as that door," Emilyn said sharply.
This time, James didn't say much. He complied with Emilyn's request by leaving her alone. Before leaving Emilyn, James looked intently into Emilyn's beady eyes.
"As usual, you're always hard to persuade," James stroked his sister's head, then walked away.
"I wish Emilyn had never met that damn man!" James growled.
Before James could leave, he called the maid to quickly fix Emilyn's bedroom door. Deftly, with just a flick of a finger, the servant had already fixed Emilyn's bedroom door to its original state.
"Ah ... I'd better get some sleep." Emilyn thought.
"In the news this morning, for the umpteenth time, renowned CEO James Moonstone was caught on camera with a beautiful girl. Is that girl his girlfriend that many are currently talking about...."
CKLIT
The television channel was simply turned off by Emilyn. Her morning was a mess. Just as she sit down on her favorite sofa, the bad news suddenly appeared. Emilyn picked up the cell phone lying on the table, intending to call someone.
Tut....
"Good morning, my little girl," the man on the other side answered.
"James! I'm really going to kill you, if you don't shut up those rotten media soon," Emilyn said emotionally.
"Haha. As usual, you don't like being seen by the media. I will try to do something to those media. But, I guess it's useless. Everyone has already seen you, dear," James said a little jokingly.
"As usual. You're annoying and unpredictable," Emilyn quipped.
Silence. There was no response from James.
"Emilyn. How long are you going to keep hiding like this?" said James on the other side.
"Ah yes. I'll call Daddy, bye," Emilyn replied.
Instead of answering James' question. Emilyn hurried to turn off the phone.
BRAK
Emilyn threw her cell phone in a random direction. She got up and paced around like a confused person. Her flat, stony face didn't show anything.
"Calm down Emilyn. At least those media assholes don't know your true identity yet," Emilyn muttered softly.
"You're look straining. Just relax."
The voice from behind Emilyn successfully surprised her.
A beautiful woman entered the room where Emilyn was arguing with herself. The woman chuckled as she noticed that her daughter was surprised by her sudden arrival.
"What do you want to come here, Mom?" Emilyn asked.
Emilyn Moonstone, a beautiful girl who is now staring at the arrival of her mother. Their relationship was not a close one. Emilyn is one of the many immortals living in the human world. She is a Lycan, she has two older brothers, who are currently in the public eye. Emilyn hates and dislikes being recognized by many people. Her cold and ignorant nature makes her more comfortable being alone.
"You never change Emilyn. Always to the point," Emilyn's mother said with some annoyance.
Selena Moonstone, Emilyn's mother who is descended from shewolf. In general, a werewolf does not live long like other immortals. The longest age of a werewolf is 150 years. But unlike Selena Moonstone, she drinks the water of immortality and will add 500 years to her life.
"Remember Emilyn. You're not young anymore, it's time for you to show yourself," Selena said.
"Calm down Mommy. I'm still very young, look at James, he's old and still single," Emilyn said.
Selena laughed at her daughter's words. But she also admitted that her two sons were old enough. Even her sons wanted Emilyn to find her life partner first.
In fact, she had met with Mate several times. But with a flat face, Emilyn always refused. Many lost their lives, if they insisted on Emilyn making her Luna. The reason Emilyn always refused was Loye. An ordinary human figure, who managed to hypnotize Emilyn's life. On the other hand, Emilyn's family also helped to overcome the Mate who wanted Emilyn so badly. For them, Emilyn's happiness came first. Unlike the old races, new races like the Lycan would not feel anything towards their Mate, if the Mate died. Although it seems bad, but their strength is stronger than the old race and the new race does not have a kingdom system like the old race, they do not like to gather to make a kingdom.
The latest race that has just become known is the Lycan race, a mix of Werewolf and vampire/half-human vampire. Second is Demigod, a human Demigod. Third is the Undead, an entire race of dead people brought back to life and they are called Undead. The most recent race today is Demantrez, a combination of Demigod and Demon races.
"Daddy will let you be taken by your Mate," said a man who had just arrived.
Quite surprised, but Emilyn tried to remain calm with a straight face.
"Wants me to hate you forever, Daddy?" Emilyn's reply was quick and sharp.
The father did not respond to his daughter.
"What's Daddy doing here anyway? Shouldn't he be at a meeting with a client?" Emilyn said with a suspicious look.
"Hey, I'm the boss. Whenever I want to go home is fine," he said defensively.
"Whatever. I'm always wrong," Emilyn said.
Jack Moonstone, he was a half-human Vampire and married Emilyn's mother who was a shewolf. Be Emilyn, a Lycan. Jack is a famous Billionaire, everyone knows him. He is also famous in the immortal world for creating the first new race, the Lycan race.
"I just want to live freely without many rules,"
Emilyn said, then left her parents.
"It is precisely that you are now being restrained, Emilyn," Selena said softly.
Jack didn't move, he just gently stroked Selena's back.
"Why are you home this afternoon?" Selena probed suspiciously.
"There is someone claiming to be Mate Emilyn," Jack said calmly.
"He's an Alpha of Pack Bloodvenom." Jack continued looking at Selena.
Selena stared back, then nodded slightly. But then her eyes rounded perfectly.
"What did you say, Bloodvenom?" Selena said in disbelief.
"And you just believe it?" Selena said quickly.
Jack took something out of his pants pocket. It was a small crystal bottle with clear water inside.
"Water of immortality," She taking the bottle.
"To obtain the water of immortality, we have to go through Pack Bloodvenom and the other racial kingdoms that are the guardians of this water. But, that man easily obtained it," Jack said.
"So, are you just going to let Emilyn go to that guy?" Selena asked doubtfully.
"I'll let it go," Jack said illegibly.
"Hem ... it's not easy. Cause there James and Percy," Selena replied firmly.
"What if that man really is an Alpha of Pack Bloodvenom? I just hope James and Percy are okay," Jack said a little worried.
Selena was silent. What Jack said was true. Emilyn's two older siblings must not be okay.
"Then what should we do? Selena said looking at her husband.
Jack was silent, the look on his face showed that he was also confused.
"I think we should talk openly about this matter. Emilyn's future mate. We should meet each other," Selena suggested to her husband.
"Are you sure?" Jack asked.
"I mean, are you sure about Emilyn? If she finds out about this, she's going to be furious," Jack continued seriously.
"The sooner the better. As for Emilyn's anger, that's obvious. But we must think of James and Percy's fate as well. I hope that Emilyn's decision was wise to think of her brother's safety." Selena replied quickly.
Jack was silent. His wife's words were true. But they also directly imposed Emilyn's feelings towards Mate.
"How?" Selena said impatiently.
"Honestly. I'm still confused. I think we're in too much of a hurry." Jack said.
"No, no, no. This is the right time, my dear. It's time we learned to let go of Emilyn to become Luna. Remember, how many mates she has rejected." Selena said reassuring Jack.
Again Jack was silent. His heart was still undecided.
However, Selena's words were completely true. There was no way he would stay with Emilyn forever.
"Okay. You manage everything," Jack replied resignedly.
"Okay. I'll contact of them immediately and you contact Mate of Emilyn." Selena's order went away.
Jack just nodded, as Selena left the room.
"We will have a special guest tomorrow, she is Mate
Emilyn. It is expected that all members of this group will be present." Without waiting long, Selena immediately announced in family group.
The announcement made by Selena in the family group was quickly responded to by the group members. Especially Emilyn, she immediately refused to meet with her Mate.
"No. As always, I refuse. And don't meddle in my Mate's business." Emilyn replied quickly.
"Yes, my lady. James and I will always be your shield."
Percy typed back to Emilyn. As usual, Percy was very excited when dealing with Emilyn's mates.
"That person is from the Bloodvenom Pack. This involves the lives of our family. I hope you will be wise."
Selena typed back to Percy, before she locked the group so that no more messages could enter.
"It's always Percy being the stupid guy." Selena snarled behind her cell phone.
"James. I hope you can understand our situation now."
Selena sent James a message.
The next morning, all the members had gathered at the Moonstone residence. With the exception of Emilyn, she was still quietly curled up in her thick blanket.
Tok Tok
"Go away James! I want to sleep," Emilyn replied quickly.
Emilyn knew very well that it was James who knocked on the door. Not long after, there was the sound of footsteps moving away.
"I don't get married with my Mate," Emilyn said, pulling up the blanket.
Not long ago the knocking sound came again. It was loud and continuous.
Tok tok tok
"Hurry up and prepare to bath. The family and special guests have been waiting for you since earlier," A woman so loudly.
Emilyn growled in annoyance. Her scent could recognize the person she was avoiding was in her house.
"Yes, I'm coming," Emilyn replied quickly, not wanting to hear her grandmother's hoarse voice again.
Finally, Emilyn decided to wash her face and put on a little makeup. At least her face didn't look too dull and miserable.
"Who the hell is that ignorant bastard," Emilyn muttered to herself in the mirror.
After finishing her makeup without taking a shower.
She had to climb the stairs from the second floor of her spacious house. Anyone would complain if they were in the Moonstone family home.
Entering the living room, Emilyn's gaze fell on the masculine man who was obviously's Mate. She could not smell the man's scent from a distance. Because a
Lycan could not smell the scent of a body he had just met.
All the family had gathered, including his grandmother who still looked young and gracefully sipped the tea in her hand.
"Perfect. Two annoying people in one day." Emilyn was annoyed.
"Grandma's looking at my appearance again." Emilyn grumbled before sitting down.
"Very good. You guys should finish this damn guy off right away." Emilyn thought happily.
Ekhem...,
The deafening sound automatically made Emilyn turn to the source of the sound.
Lucyana Moonstone, mother of Jack Moonstone. Lucyana was of pure Vampire descent and married a pure human, Damian Moonstone. But it was unfortunate. Damian did not want to be a Vampire when he died.
"Sorry I'm late," Emilyn said trying to be polite with a flat face.
"Emilyn. Look at yourself. Soften up a bit in the presence of your Mate," Lucyana said.
"It doesn't matter. No matter how gentle I am, it will never change my Lycan form into a beautiful and gentle wolf. Let alone a beautiful blood-sucking woman like you," Emilyn's sarcasm was unacceptable.
Emilyn never got along with Lucyana because Emilyn always rejected her Matenya, which annoyed Lucyana.
"Emilyn! Be a little polite. What you say!" Jack snapped not liking what Emilyn said.
"I say a fact," Emilyn replied lightly.
"Daddy. Don't bother Emilyn, just let her be. Maybe she's still upset because lately her sleep has been disturbed because of the nightmares that always come every time there is a new Mate," James interceded.
"What? Nightmares? What do you mean?" the man interrupted.
The man who claimed to be Emilyn's Mate frowned. He suspected that something was being hidden from him about Emilyn's past.
"Not a bad thing," Jack said briefly.
Jack didn't know that Emilyn had another nightmare. Jack was worried that Loye would continue to haunt Emilyn.
"Emilyn did not want to share it with us. But I will tell you that Emilyn has had twelve mates so far. The results were all rejected, some withdrew and also some...,"
"They died because they didn't want to reject me," Emilyn countinued with a smirk.
The man stared in disbelief at Emilyn. The man's irises seemed to have many questions.
"I'll talk to you about it later. I'm sure you already know clearly the purpose of my being here," the man said with an unreadable look.
"I will marry Emilyn as soon and take her with me," the man continued quickly.
They were silent for a moment. Emilyn and her future
Mate's gazes met. Unreadable to each other.
"Sorry. I'm not interested in being your Lun,." Emilyn said firmly.
It was exactly what the Moonstone family thought. Emilyn would definitely reject Mate's back.
"If you don't want to. Lady Selena will never get the water of immortality," threatened the man gently.
"What a hassle!" Emilyn screamed inwardly.
How could she let her Mommy not drink the water of immortality. It was a confusing situation for Emilyn.
"Alright," Emilyn said reluctantly.
"Sweet girl. I will pick you up tomorrow morning. Our wedding day will soon be held at my Pack," the man said with a faint smile.
A little talk before leaving Moonstone's house. The man seemed to smile proudly while Emilyn showed her annoyed face.
James and Percy still looked incredulous at Emilyn's decision. Throughout the conversation, James and Percy were silent, holding back their emotions because of the Alpha's threats.
"I don't love that man. I just want a quiet life and most importantly, there's no way I'm letting Mommy leave all of us. Also, it would be very dangerous if James and
Percy killed the Alpha of Pack Bloodvenom. I've thought it all through. You don't need to ask too many questions." Emilyn said before being bombarded with questions.
"You're smart Emilyn. Just like I wanted," Lucyana praised.
"I don't need your praise," Emilyn said as she walked away from the Moonstone family.
