Chapter 1

Malia woke up breathing heavily, another nightmare again, this time around, she saw some group of friends betraying her and ended up doomed in both friendship and relationship.......

"It's just a dream and not real; I will get over it by going to school as usual." She said to herself...

She called the maids to prepare her water to bath, and in no less than two minutes, a maid was at her service, this is how wealthy and successful her parents are, but she lacked one thing, love, and attention...

After she finished having her bath, she wore her uniform, sprayed her hair, and took her bag, stepping out of her room to have breakfast with her parents.

"Good morning Miss Malia; breakfast is served." One of the maids said...

"Thank you, where are my parents?" She asked, smiling, but her mood changed when she finds out they missed breakfast with her again.

"I am sorry, your dad and mom had to travel very early for some business meeting; mom promised to treat you to dinner on her return, she recorded as usual."

The maid was about to pass the record to her when Malia hit her hands and yelled, "To hell with this; I am off to school now; I lost my appetite." She ran off to the car, controlling herself not to cry.

She immediately entered the car and told Gerald, the driver to drive straight to school...

"Drive," she told Gerald what to do...

"Miss, mmm..... what about Isabel" Gerald replied her through the rear mirror in the car...

" Ohh... it's ok" Malia muttered still sobbing resting her head against the headrest looking outside the window...

After it's seems like 30 minutes, her younger sister, Isabel came and entered the car...

"Good morning, Gerald" Isabel greeted with a radiant smile as always..so jovial...

"Good morning, miss Isabel" Gerald answered her with a little smile...

"I'm so sorry for keeping you waiting," Isabel said, "you can start going now"

Then, she turned to her sister who doesn't seem to notice the presence of her sister in the car...

"Hi sis" Isabel greeted and tapped her on her shoulder...

"Hey Isabel" Malia jolted out, "I'm sorry, I Don't know you were already in the car and is already moving," she said with a sad chuckle.

" What's wrong," Isabel said while staring at her sister's face..she continued"don't tell me you were crying"

"No, I'm not," Malia said wiping her face...

" Yep, something is wrong"

"No, with you," Isabel said and continued"you only bite your lips when you're upset"

"Wait for a second, did I hurt your feeling" she gasped" or oh, I think it's miss moris"

" I heard you arguing with Mary this morning and I'm sure it's the food miss Moris made, "Isabel said dramatic and Malia laughed...

" You know she is growing old despite she's 40 years" Isabel grinned and turned to Gerald," I didn't say you should tell her when you get a home cause that's just a fact" Gerald smiled and nodded...

" But I love her and I know you also do," she said turning to face Malia...

" No, that's not it"

" Then, what is it?"

" You know, there's this......mmmm...."Malia paused," I just don't wanna mess things up again and I miss mom and dad need their attention you know what I mean"

"hmmm..yea...I do, Well, it's not only you that needs their attention, I'm their last child who is still in junior school but despite that,t I don't care"

she was singing holding her Id card like a mic and her voice is like a half crocodile voice half angelic voice if you know you know...

Malia was just laughing at her sister's drama...... whenever she is around she just knows the way to cheer one up, talking like an experienced motivational speaker...

"Should I tell you something, huh" Malia nodded

"You are doing great, sis..." She continued, "you've been doing fine after what happened to you those dreadful years without them though it's wasn't easy but you can continue to behave like they don't exist just like I do"

" I have learned to live without them and I will continue to till they come to their senses, sis, you have been strong since then continue to be"

" Oh...sis, when are you going to see yourself the way I do "she palmed her face

" I see the potential in you, picture them out in your life for now till you fully recover because if it were to be me, I'm sure I would have committed suicide and be long gone beneath the ground,d," she said mimicking the British accent...

She sang caressing her sister's face and yawn when she found out she has fallen asleep...

They got to their school, it's so large and beautiful...

"We are here" Gerald announced

"Should I walk you to your class?f Isabel asked grinning

" No, thank you"Malia answered when they got down from the car and waved Gerald as he drove off.....

"Yeah, I know...I was just pulling your legs" Isabel said smiling as they walked

"Hey Malia"A voice shouted from the front of the building and they stopped

"It seems your friends are here, I will be going love you, sis," Isabel said waving at her as she walked to her class

Malia walked to meet her friends, ivy Winslet, Grace Bennett, Alexis Wilhelm, and the youngest of their crew, Mabel Wilfred...

Apart from her sister, these are the people Malia talks to because they have been there for her since the incident years back, and being with them has been great...

"Hey Malia" ivy called her with a cute smile

"Hey girls," Malia said with a gummy smile

"Hey, what's wrong," Grace said

"Your face is saying otherwise" Mabel added

"Nothing, I'm ok," Malia said

"I know... Your parents left again.... huh" ivy said putting her hands on Malia's shoulder... Malia sighed softly

"Yup... Bae, you don't need it, we are ok for you and your sister" Mabel said

" Hmmm... Ok..even my sister has talked to me about it.. so am letting them go and enjoy this moment"Malia said smiling

" I trust your sister, "Grace said laughing," the only witted motivational speaker"... they all laughed

" So let's go to the class," Alexis said

As they were going one of their classmates, Andie called Malia

"Hey Malia" she greeted

"Hey Andie" Malia replied

"I just wanna thank you for the other day and offer this token bracelet to you as a sign of appreciation," she said smiling and stretching out the bracelet to her

" Ohh.. my... God. This is more than a token Andie, you shouldn't have done this"Malia said wanting to take it from her but ivy stopped her

" No, you can't collect it, Malia how many times have I warned you, fine she is coming to East High School doesn't mean we are in the same category.. "

" She's on scholarship you are rich have class darling" ivy concluded

" But she just wanted...... "Malia was interrupted by Alexis

"Ivy is right girlfriend, we are too different people so don't collect it, am I not right?

They all nodded... The girl, Andie redraws her hand dejected...

"They will take you for granted because of your kindness towards them just like this"Mabel said staring at Andie...

As Malia wanted to talk, ivy dragged her inside alongside the others not wanting her to say another word again because she is already getting angry...... Malia turned back and give Andie an apology smile...

A car drove down into the compound of a new mansion in Malcolm's street alongside two vans following behind the Jeep...

The house is so huge and round was painted in a silver-white color and the water spring was right at the center of the mansion. The floor was German floored and there were about two garages in the compound...

There were just the little parts of the building one could see if one enters the compound, how rich these families are... The car halted and the occupants came out...

The family came down from the car majestically one after the other...

Mr. Wilbur Anderson and his wife, Mrs. Yvonne Anderson alongside their children, David Anderson looking cute as always with his twin sister, Davina Anderson, the Savage Queen, and their last born, Theodore Anderson who prefers to be called, Theo stood together like in a lined up football match...

The family just relocated from California to Boston, Massachusetts USA because their dad had a bigger promotion this time around, and though, this is not the first time they will relocate because of their dad's work...

"Wow, this house is so amazing," Davina said staring at the house with an amused expression... The parents stood smiling admiring the house just like their children

"Yeah, then the other house" Theo added...

" Dad, I hope this is the last time we will have to relocate because this is tiring, "David said frowning facing his dad...

" I promise you not again," their dad said

" That was what you said 6 months ago promising us" Davina added

" Bro, I'm still finding it hard to believe the ineffable building in front of me," Theo said surprised.....

"It's a hut, foolish question" Davina said hissing, "if both of you are tired of standing then maybe you can come inside because I want to choose the best room" she added and walked inside...

" Ain't you gonna follow them, "Mrs. Yvonne Anderson asked David

" Nooo.....I'm more mature than them, they are kids" David replied smiling

" I heard you, David, don't let me catch you" Davina shouted from inside.....

"Bring the bags inside" Mr. Anderson ordered the workers...

" Yes sir" they chorused... while, They joined Theo and Davina inside the house...

After they were through arranging their room it was time to go to the restaurant to eat but since then Theo is yet to come out of his room and everyone is waiting for him...

"Ugh! Theo" David groans for the hundredth time...

David throws his head on the sofa, folds his arms on his chest, and directs his glaring eyes towards the staircase leading towards different rooms...

The door is still shut, just as it has been for the past 30 to 35 minutes...

David was wondering what he was still doing inside...

"Mum, dad I think we should be going, we can't wait forever for Theo to come out from that room of his"David said hissing

"David, give that boy a break huh, he has not spent much time in his room" Davina replied rolling her eyes

"Davina, well, I'm not surprised at all, he is your replica, "David said shrugging

" Hmmm.. maybe," Davina said absentmindedly

"Mum, I'm frustrated, here," David said annoyed

"Calm down, don't get too worked up, let's wait a little longer for him", his mom said

David slumped back on the chair dejected frowning

"Theo, get your butty down here before the countdown of three"David growled in frustration

Finally, after waiting for 5 minutes extra, they hear footsteps walking down the stairs...At last, the black sheep of the family is coming out...

"Finally, I thought I'd die of waiting" David grumbled

David turned and his mouth hang open

Theo is dressed in a black suit, I mean I have seen him in a suit before just like Alicia's birthday party looking like a creep but today, there's something different about him this time around...

He looks so handsome, his hair is perfectly gelled and combed back... Theo has been looking handsome but today he is looking extremely handsome

He noticed I'm staring at him...he flashed me a boyish grin, which added to his handsomeness

I'm awestruck...this is the reason Alicia does tell me Theo is more handsome than me and also cute that if not because of the age range between them she will choose Theo more than me because I don't really like dressing to kill like Theo.....

"How do I look," Theo asked everyone

Theo walked closer to the center of the sitting room for everyone to get a full picture of him

"Handsome, right"

"Hmmm, yeah," David said nodding

"This is the first time you are admitting am more handsome than you," Theo said smiling

"Handsome," their parents said in unison smiling

" You look good"Davina scoffed and continued,"but it is just dinner and you dressed up looking like you are going on a date spending close to an hour, while am supporting you here, you're a dick," she said hissing and walked out

" But I was trying to look good and in case I will see a beautiful girl," Theo said frowning," Is this all I got after everything"

" Serves you right, "David said laughing and followed Davina

" I think we should just go," their dad said and walked away

"So this is what I get after dressing up like this," he said staring at his cloth and scoffing, then went after them...

They entered a five-star restaurant and found a table at a far corner of the restaurant closer to the window...A waiter came to welcome them and asked for their order and left...As they waited for the waiter, they engrossed themselves in some little talks.....

The waiter came with their order..they ate.....As they were, taking their desserts..their dad breaks in their silence...

"On Monday, you all we resume school" Mr Morgan Anderson said

" Dad, so fast," Davina said frowning

"Yeah, I got lucky because one of the school principals is a friend of mine," he said

" Ohhh, really, nice"Theo said nodding

" What is the name of the school, "David asked

"Hmmm. I think.......

" It's East High School" Mrs. Yvonne Anderson I interrupted her husband

" Aiiiiishhhh, I'm getting old," Mr. Anderson said

"And I will forever love you" their mum kissed him

" Ewwww," Theo said

" Geez, stop we are kids," David said glaring

" Nahhh, I'm not, "Davina said shrugging," it's normal they are couples"

" Huh... "Theo gasped staring at his sister

"nice school, I have heard a lot about that school," Davina said ignoring Theo...

" Same here, it won't be bad attending the school"David added

" Prepare I will take you on Monday myself, "their dad said

"ok dad, we love you," Theo said

"Talk for yourself, Theo" Davina snapped

"So you don't love me," their dad asked

"No one said that or did I, "Davina said smiling... everyone sighed shaking their heads

" Witch" David whispered and everyone went back to their business.....

Chapter 3

The sound of that damn alarm starts to ring and interrupted her sleep. She stretched out her hand to turn it off and turned back to sleep covering her head with her duvet...

Isabel came inside the room and opened the curtains to allow the morning brightness to penetrate inside the room

"Get up from the bed," Isabel said

"Hmmm.. please just give me two minutes" Malia Said smugged back to the bed, as she tries to close her eyes, Isabel had to drag the duvet from her

"Get up or else you will be late for school," Isabel told her mimicking an elderly voice while Malia sat up

" Now you are sounding like you're my mother," Malia said laughing remembering what happened yesterday

Malia waited for her parents as promised for dinner.. when Isabel was already tired of waiting she ate hers with miss moris and went to sleep while she kept waiting

But as usual, they couldn't make it again this time around also.. she sat staring at her sister the way she acted as if she doesn't even think about them at all

"Well, I could be one of you want" Isabel grinned

" Nope, thanks for the offer" Malia chuckled

"Looking at the way you are staring at me, am sure" Isabel paused and look straight to her eye and said," I'm sure you don't know that the time says 7:15 am" she smiled

" Noooo" Malia stares at the time and jump out of her bed to the bathroom without waiting for the maids to run her bath and shouted from inside, "get my dress for me"

" At your service, milady," Isabel said smiling

Malia ran like a madwoman out of her room to the dining room rushing...

"It seems you have Mrs. Hailey class this morning, " Isabel said laughing while munching on the chips with her

" I hate you" Malia glares at Isabel rushing her food trying not to choke

"The feeling is mutual"Isabel laughing real hard

Malia ran out of the house without waiting for her sister. Isabel shouted that she should wait for her, joining her in the car and Gerald drove off and Isabel laughed...

Malia came down without waiting for Gerald to park very well as she came down, Isabel shouted after her, "good luck" Malia threw her the fuck you sign and Isabel chuckled

Immediately, she rushed inside the class thinking maybe Mrs. Hailey isn't in the class since she couldn't find her at the front of the class

"Miss Stewart," Mrs. Hailey hard toned voice made Malia freeze where she is standing close to her chair...

"Hmm..go..ooo. Morn.. ing... Ma" she greeted stuttering

"Morning, why are you late this morning, "Mrs. Hailey asked with a raised brow

" Uhh. I had early morning sickness," Malia blinked her eyes

"Huh. Malia why are you blinking your eyes" Tega said smirking and Malia roll her eyes at him. Everyone laughed... Tega darwin, the class captain of diamond Elite and the most popular captain among the final year student and others for his teasing lifestyle

"Maybe dust entered her eye" Dylan William, Tega's best friend replied laughing

"Any other word from anyone is detention," Mrs. Hailey said

"Just pulling her legs," Tega said smiling and Mrs. Hailey glares at him while he threw his hands up in surrender

"Hmmm. Ma'am" Malia calling her attention," it won't happen again, I promise," she said pleading

"I'm letting you off because you don't come to school late before, don't repeat it" Mrs. Hailey warned

" Thank you ma"Malia smiled and sat..ivy made mouthed to her why she came late

" I'll explain later" she replied and focused on what she is teaching

"Wow, it's unfair" Grace talked when she said the reason why she came late as they were walking to occupy their favorite sit in the cafeteria to eat and they starts to talk

"Yeah, it's too much" Mabel nodded

"I don't care" Malia shrugged, "I gat my life to live but I'll love to have their love and attention with my sister," she said with a sad face

"Girls, do you remember what is happening today," ivy said interrupting what they were talking about

"Don't tell me you have forgotten about Kayden birthday party that is gonna take place today" ivy said rolling her eyes

" That's true, though"ivy paused and asked, "I'm sure all of you're coming to the party," she asked with a prying eye staring at each of them

" Hmmm. Malia, what about you"ivy asked and turned to her waiting for her answer

"If everyone is going, who am I not to" Malia replied grinning

" Good, but what about the clothes," Grace said feeling down," because I can't wear those clothes again I need to look stunning today and my parents have blocked my credit card because of my fucking damn elder brother," she said snarling

" Yeah, me too, because if luck is on my side today, I might be able to get Kelly's attention," Mabel said dreamily. Kelly Martin is the head boy of the school and she has had a big crush on him since grade 1

Kelly doesn't mingle with people, you could call him a nerd because every day of his life is just to read.. Kelly and Malia are family friends they talk but not much he doesn't talk too much...

" maybe but will he? because you have been chasing this guy since grade 1 but he seems not to notice you," Alexis said rolling her eyes

" Whatever" Mabel hissed

"Hmmm.. don't worry girls, as usual, I'll take you out for the party dress after school"Malia smiled

"Awwwwn "Mabel said

As they were eating, Malia's card name fell off from her pocket... She bent down to pick it up and put it back in the right place...

"You still have this necklace with you" ivy scoffed said sighting the necklace on her neck...

"Yes, I couldn't just remove it away since that day" Malia sighed

" Hmmm. it looks weird on you, you know" Alexis said

"Yeah, it reminds us about it again" Grace added

" Look am sorry but this is the only way to talk to her and him that am sorry, it's like a connection between us, "Malia said dejectedly

" Ohhh. Ok"ivy shrugged

"Hope no problem with the way you girls are staring at me" Malia stared at them

" No," they said in unison and continued eating their food.

The girls entered Dell's boutique to buy the dresses as they have said. The receptionist recognized them immediately they entered, well who wouldn't know them

They patronize this place more than any other place in Boston. The boutique sells dresses, shoes, and everything one needs for an occasion

They picked various clothes to try among varieties on the rack. After they've chosen the dress they wanted, they entered the room used for changing clothes.

They went one after the other and came outside so the others could access the clothes. Mabel went first, then Alexis followed, then ivy went and Malia is the last to enter.., they later choose the one they want individually...

Ivy choose a white sleeveless gown showing her cleavage

Mabel choose a black dinner gown which fits the color of her hair

Alexis choose a simple pink gown with an off-shoulder bringing out the shape of her butt

While Malia choose a purple armless with a little opening at the tip of the dress

Meanwhile, David accompany his sister, Davina to pick a shoe for her uniform

Though, he didn't come willingly but had to come with much persuasion from their parents because Davina had a lot of shoes that he didn't know the reason why she couldn't choose from those...

He had sat down among the available cushion chair in the room

He saw a magazine on the couch and starts to read it without full concentration

"David, I think I have gotten what I want," Davina said smiling coming to meet David

" You think"David scoffed

" Yup, see is it not fine," Davina said showing David the new Snickers she picked

" I don't know"David scoffed"can we go now"

"No, I haven't paid yet" Davina replied

" So what are you still doing here," David told her

"You're too harsh," she said walking away...

Malia and the girls went to the cashier to pay the bills for the dresses.. while she was buttoning up her shirt she noticed that her necklace is gone too...."Oh my God, my necklace" Malia said and run off to the room where she removed it so she can put on her dress

As she was running, she mistakenly bumped into David who was tapping his legs on the floor Waiting for Davina

"Ohh. I'm so sorry" David said staring at Malia who wasn't sparing him any glance.

"Yeah, I'm sorry, I've to go," Malia said without waiting for his response freed herself from his grip, and ran off...
