Pain is all I have

Alexis:

I ran to my room crying and holding my cheek. I can't believe he struck me, uncle Xavier, I hated him. After my parents death he has been awful to me.

My birthday is in two months and as soon as I turn 18 years old, get my wolf, and find my mate I will take my rightful place as Alpha of my pack. My parents have been dead for a rough seven months and Xavier has been running my pack. He insults me that I will never be a good Alpha because I am a women and "Ladies can't be Alphas" he saids this all the time just to undermind me but little does he know im the best fighter after mother, I was even better than father.

I always think about how unbelievable my parents death was, it was so sudden. They were so fearless my mother more than father, great fighters the best actually. They were the Alpha and Luna of The Moon warriors pack, the strongest pack there ever was. I take after them so I know I will be strong. With the beta Xavier running the pack we have been lacking on training I suddenly thought.

In my room crying on my bed remebering mother and father and all their love so many thoughts just running through my head and so many plans. I heard a knock on my door.

who is it?

Michael yelled "it's me Alexis"

I ran to my door and opened it, Michael has been my best friend since I can remember. I jumped in his arms and sobed.

what did he do to you? he asked angrily

He... he... he... I said between sobs I couldn't even speak

What Alexis, tell me. Michael proceeded to grab my chin so I would look up at him and he saw the bruise on my cheek that my long curly hair was covering. What the fuck did he do, Michael said seething. His blue eyes were now black, his wolf was taking over.

He hit me, I cried out. I know he hates me but I never thought he would hit me.

Michael is two years older than me, he hasn't found his mate so we believe she is from a different pack. He has been with me since I was born. Father told me so many stories of how Michael was so protective of me. He would tell father that I was his little baby. We were best friends but for some reason he felt like more. Michael is Xaviers adopted son but Michael hates him for hurting me.

Michael ran out of my room and yelled through the halls of our pack house calling Xavier.

Xavier said through gritted teeth, What is it son?

"Don't you dare claim me as your son. I will not say it again, Don't ever put your hands on Alexis or it will be the end of you" threaten Michael.

Xavier yelled " You dare threaten your father, one more out of you and I will lock you up in the dungens.

Michael walked over to his father nearly an inch from his face and said " Do what you want with me but don't ever touch Alexis".

Xavier smirked and whispered in Michaels ear. I didn't hear what he said but Michaels face was suddenly pale, he growled at xavier and stormed off. I hurried into my room and locked my door. I decided i didn't want to think anymore and I was so tired of crying that I layed in bed closed my eyes and as soon as I did sleep took over me.

Michael:

Xavier leaned in and whispered in my ear "I know your secret and if you continue I will make sure to ruin your life, you'll never get the chance".

After daddy dearest whispered in my ear I freacked out, I panicked, I just stormed off. He knows, but how?, how does he know. I've kept it a secret for so long I murmured to myself. I don't care, my wolf Zoar, growled in my head. Who cares who knows it's inevitable. To be honest I can't wait for the world to know. I laughed at my wolf.

I got my wolf just about a year ago. without even catching her scent he knew who was our mate. The moon goddess has paired us since I was born. The scent is delicious, it has been my favorite snack since. Chocolate and strawberries.

I changed into basketball shorts and layed on my bed, I had to leave for pack business in the morning I had packed a few things for a week, it's going to be crazy I thought. I thanked the moon goddess because she gave her to me, even if we were just pups then. The connection has always been there but it wasn't until a year ago that I knew exactly what it was but I had to wait. I was also thinking about my biological parents. They were of alpha blood, so that ment that I was born to be Alpha. I was only three years old, just a little pup when they were murdered. Xavier was there he found me hidding under the dinning room table and took me in as his own. I can't help but now wonder, what was he doing there exactly. My head started spinning and the worst feeling and thoughts came to me, but no, he couldn't of, could he?. I shook it off and decided to think about her instead and I was soon fast asleep.

Alexis:

I was walking through the forest, mother and father were about fifteen feet in front of me, yelling for me to catch up when three rougues appeared out from the tall trees. Mother and father yelled for me to stay back but as soon as I looked up to see why, silver daggers were thrown from a distance and aimed right through their chest aimed at their hearts. the rougues watched viciously as I screamed bloody murder and then I ran towards them. I was in raged, I moved so swiftly and fast that in matter of secounds I grabed a rougue by his ears and kneed him breaking his snout, with my bare hands I ripped his jaw apart, another lunged at me but I quickly ducked as he was leaping over me I punched right through him and held his heart in my hands. The black blood all over me, I squeezed bursting his heart. The third rougue ran from me but not before I grabbed one of his hind legs and yanked, ripping it from his body. He whimpered and limped away. He won't get far I thought before he bleeds out so I didn't go after it. I knelt next to mother and father and wept. Screaming for them to wake up. Mother, father please, please.

I jolted abruptly, sitting up, panting and in rage I cried. My face in my palms I cried. I still couldn't believe it, they were gone. I've had this nightmare constantly reminding me of that horrible day even though it was such a beautiful day, I remembered it as the ugliest, darkest day of my life.

I never told anyone that I had killed the rougues . father always said that I had to much power without my wolf, other packs would come after me because of their fear but once I had my wolf the power would be endless. I will be a powerful Alpha and every pack would have to stand down." Only then" I sighed.

I yelled but it was muffled as my hands were still covering my face. I miss you father so badly I am all only except for Micahel. Mother, mom I wish you were here with me. I miss you two so so dearly. It's a grief that takes all of me. Pain is all I feel.

I didn't realize I had fallen asleep again when Nadia, the omega housekeep knocked on my door. Alexis dear, I brought you dinner, you need to eat She said. I got up from my bed, opened the door, grabbed my tray, thanked Nadia and locked myself in my room again. I didn't want her to notice my face swollen from crying and the bruise Xavier left on my cheek. She was so sweet to think of me.

through the door I heard her say " We, your pack, need you strong Alexis. I really wasnt hungry but Nadia's words rang through my head and I knew they needed me. As I was trying my hardest to finish my meal my phone rang. I was hopeful that it was Michael but nope it was Xavier.

Xavier: "little girl"

Alexis: "I won't be a little girl for long"

Xavier: "watch your tone, you little brat"

Alexis: "What is it, uncle?"

Xavier: "There is something I need you to do, come to my study NOW"

I looked at the message and worry washed over me. what does he want I thought. I sent him another text.

Alexis: " I am not presentable, tomorrow uncle please"

I saw that he had read the text but he didn't respond, so I assumed he had agreed and would leave me be tonight. Then there was a loud banging on my door. Open the door Alexis, Xavier demanded

Terrified I opened it thinking it would be worse if I didn't comply. Xavier barged in and I moved backwards to stay a safe distance, but he was at my side and grabed my hair in his fist holding me in place to look at him. I was small only 5'0 tall and he was 6'3 towering over me. You do as I say, he whispered.

Your parents fortune and title are mine. You will sign it over to me infront of the council as you are unfit to rule. If you don't you will face the consequences.

NO!, I thundered.

"No you say, okay, you will starve until you cooperate", he said still tugging at my hair. He threw me on the floor causing my knees to brush burn on my rug, bloody bruses already forming. I cried, trembling as my anger coursed through me. what was he going to do with me.

It was January 23 and it's been a week without a proper meal. Xavier had locked me up in one of the interrogation rooms. It is cold, dark and smelly in here. I have a cot to sleep on with one blanket, it's like a cell but with no toilet and no cement floor. I have to use a bucket and I have to dig holes with my hands just to empty it out. So yes, it stinks really bad in here.

There is no light except for the one in the hallway, there is a tiny window that I can't even see out of, besides all of that, all that I keep thinking about is that there is one month, 1 week and three days till my birthday, till I get my wolf.

Michael was on pack business, relief washed over me because he would be back today so I know Xavier will let me out. I was so hungry, but I wasn't going to let it break me. he had to feed me unless he wanted me dead. Does he? I thought, But exhaustion and malnutrition took over me and I passed out.

Xavier:

That little brat. I was sitting in the study that use to be my brothers, now it is mine and his little brat of a daughter was not going to take it away from me after all I've had to do. I would do whatever I had to do. I was the Alpha, no fucking beta. My brother was an idiot, a submissive leader. He didn't even know how to rule with all the power he had, now it will be mine. I don't care who has to pay the consequences. Anger seeping through every thought, my wooden desk was cracking through my grip. Michael would be home today ready to save that little bitch. Suddenly I got an idea. Hunter!. Hunter!. I yelled for one of my men, the warriors leader. Smirking I said " You have a task to do". Hunter agreed and waited for my order. I grinned evilly "there will be no saving".

Michael:

I was at the Red Moon pack, alpha brent and his pack were very welcoming. On the day I was going back home, I woke up, it was early. I sat on the bed, looked at my phone and saw it was only seven in the morning. I wondered why I haven't received not a single text from Alexis all this time. I texted her a few times but no answer before getting into the shower I texted Xavier.

Michael: Xavier where is Alexis?

Xavier: The disrespect from you, I am your father, and how should I know, probably locked up in her room.

Michael: father?, anyway I will be back today and she better be well.

With that he never texted back. I just prayed to the moon goddess that she was well and that nothing bad had happened to her. Xavier was evil. I knew it in my gut and heart especially how power hungry he was. He wanted my pup Alexis power and I knew she was powerful. I got out the shower, got dressed in jeans, a white tee and my nike ones. I brushed my waves, put on cologne, packed up all my stuff in my duffel bag and went downstairs for some breakfast before I headed out.

At breakfast Alpha Brent and Luna Paola were talking to a man, when I got closer I saw that it was Hunter our warrior leader. I asked, what are you doing here? Is something wrong at moon warriors pack?. Interrupting their conversation. Hunter looked at me, grinned and turned on his heel and walked to the door, opening it he looked back to me and said "see you never, wannabe Alpha". I turned to look over at alpha Brent looking for an explanation. I was shocked when silver shackles were put on me, it drained all of my strength and didn't allow me to shift. I cryed out "what is the meaning of this?" but instead of an answer I was hit on the head and was being dragged somewhere when I heard a laughter from Hunter and everything went black.
