Owning The Hearts Of Two Alphas

It was a Monday morning, and the sun stood high in the sky. Unlike other Monday mornings, this one was different. Today, Macy's students would start their exams, which meant it would be a hell of a busy week for her.

After parking in the car park, she entered her studio's building. Okay, let's make a proper introduction of myself. My name is Macy Brooke, and I am 23 years old. I own my music school, where I teach music and hire musical instruments. I have loved music from a young age, so it's only fair that I do what I love.

"Good morning, Macy." my secretary Lori greeted,

"Morning Lori, how was your weekend?"

"Went well."

"Zara just called to cancel this afternoon's meeting, and then you have an appointment with Mrs. Jake concerning her husband's birthday party musical by noon today." she announced, reading from the pad in her hands.

''Okay, Lori, thanks, and please ask class one to prepare for their presentation."

''I'll do that.'' Lori responded, and walked away. After a stressful day, I got home exhausted and quickly showered. I made dinner for myself, and while I was eating, my phone rang.

"Hey babe." I heard his husky, manly voice over the phone,

"How was work today?"

"It went well but was tiring as usual.'' I responded with an exhausted sigh.

''I'm so sorry. Have you had dinner?'' he asked, concerned.

"I'm on that right now." I responded, taking a spoonful of food into my mouth.

"I miss you, baby, a lot. I can't wait to come back home.'' He grumbled over the phone.

''I miss you too, my love, and I can't wait for you to come back home." I responded with a smile.

That was Derick Torres, the second son of the Torres family from the Waterfall pack, who fell in love with a human girl who was not his mate, Macy and Derick had been together for a year and were deeply in love with each other. Well, not for long though, as things would soon change.

Derick does not believe in the mate bond and believes that the moon goddess cannot control who he spends the rest of his life with, meeting Macy seemed to prove it all as he fell head over heels in love with her simplicity. A week went by in the blink of an eye, Macy was done with the day's work and headed home, her apartment was close to the office, so it was only a few minute's drive.

She got to her door and realized it was open, she waltzed into the room. A smile crept to her face as she took in her boyfriend Derick in an apron cooking in her kitchen.

" Welcome home baby," Derick says with a smile on his face,

" So much for a welcome, huh?" Macy responds as she walks over to her boyfriend.

" I wanted to surprise you,"

" Well, I am surprised babe. Thank you."

They both had dinner and after chatting went to bed. Macy woke up to Derick kissing her legs, She stared down at him with her sleepy eyes and her lips tugged up in a sly smile as he kissed his way up to her face.

" Come on we have to get ready fast," Derick says as they both finish breakfast, they are now seated on Macy's kitchen counter.

" Ready, are we going somewhere?" Macy asks with a furrowed brow.

" Babe do not tell me you forgot,"

" What's happening Derick, what did I forget?"

" It's Mom's birthday tomorrow and my brother is coming back too. So we are going to Waterfall. We talked about this two weeks ago, baby I cannot believe you forgot." Derick explains, his face looking a bit of hurt after his last lines.

" I'm sorry babe, It escaped my mind. You know work has been so stressful." Derick chuckles at her explanations, he stares at her lips in a seductive way, and unexpectedly pulls her in for a kiss, he sucks on her lips passionately.

"You can always make it up to me baby," Macy blushes at his words, Derick hauls her with him toward the room before shutting the door. In a few minutes, her moans of pleasure filled the room. The drive to Waterfall is an hour's drive, After going shopping, the couple headed to Derick's community called Waterfall.

Derick never told Macy about what he really was, she believed he was human, just like her.

" What is your brother like?" Macy speaks up, breaking the silence in the car, Derick turns to look at her with a surprised look on his face,

" Liam is different from me, you can say he is a strict type of person, however he is the most loving and caring person I know," Macy simply nodded her head at Derick's words.

" You seem nervous baby,"

" Well, maybe I am worried," Macy says as she takes a deep breath. It was not her first time going to Waterfall, Derick had brought her over countless times, and he even introduced her to his family, who also loved and accepted her.

However, she was anxious because she was going to meet Liam Torres, the brother of her boyfriend, for the first time.

Macy stared out the window of the car, for an unknown reason, she felt restless.

Derick packed the car in front of the pack house, and Leon, the Pack's gamma walked up to welcome them both. After exchanging pleasantries, they walked into the mansion. Mom and Macy hugged as soon as they lay eyes on each other.

Derick pulled Macy to his room to freshen up, and they came down for dinner later,

"This is super tasty, Mrs. Torres! It's been a while, and I can't believe I forgot how good your food tastes." Macy declares while eating,

" Do not mind my son for not bringing you as often as before." Mom says as she gives Derick a playful glare.

" Mom, I have been really busy, it's not my fault. And Where are Dad and Liam? I haven't seen them since we arrived."

" They had some business to take care of in the neighboring Pa... Um, I mean community." Mom stutters for a second before clearing her throat, she almost slipped there, Derick hands her a glass of water as they eye themselves, however Macy did not notice a thing as she was simply engrossed in her meal.

LIAM

I have been away from my pack for two years now, going around and helping smaller packs and helping training them. My Beta and I had been away from our families for that long, but now we're back to Waterfalls, my dad, and brother have helped so much in taking care of the pack and I am glad to be back home.

Dad and I had some business to attend, so we left in the morning and I guess we won't be coming back until tomorrow, I wasn't a fan of parties, but I had to show up for Mom, or I'll be screwed, I heard news Derick was bringing his girlfriend home for the party, he has said so much about her when we talked on the phone and I looked forward to meeting this girl who stole my brother's heart.

My wolf has been restless since the morning and I didn't know what was wrong. I shook the feeling off.The next day was here and Dad left early. He wouldn't want to be late for his mate's party, I stopped at my apartment I owned in the northern part of the pack's territory, and I did some business before getting ready for the party.

Just then my phone rings "Hey bro where are you? The party began like an hour ago." I heard Derick's voice over the phone

"I'll be there soon, I am on my way." I hung up, got ready, and left to the pack house where the party was being held.

Getting out of my car, I saw the pack house filled with pack members and invitees from other respected packs, I greeted a few people I recognized, my eyes roamed the place until I found my parents and walked up to them. After wishing my Mother a happy birthday I decided to leave the party since I found it boring, when it hit me, that intoxicating sweet smell,My wolf Rage howls loudly in my head "MATE!" pushing me to go find where this sweet smell is emanating from.

I walk back inside searching for the owner of this scent, and just then I see her, the most beautiful creature I have ever seen in my life, standing there in a lovely white dress that hugged her body perfectly, her hair cascading down her back in perfect curls she was just so perfect, the bond called unto her and as I walked further into the room towards her direction I witness my brother walk up to her and hold her so close to him, he whispers something to her, and she laughs and just then my heart stops when he kissed her.

"Mate!" Rage howled loudly in my head urging me to go take her away from him, but I just stood there rooted in my tracks watching them, my heart broke seeing her in another's arm. Derick sees me and pulls her with him towards me with a smile on his face.

My heart raced in my heart and the world seemed to have stopped, Derick kissed my mate and that could only mean one thing. She was Macy, his girlfriend whom he had always talked about.

Fuck! I cursed inwardly at the tricks the moon goddess had decided to play on us. The worst of it all was she was human and did not have the slightest idea of our existence.

" It doesn't matter what you think Liam, we are not letting him have her when she is ours!" my wolf says angrily as he growls in my head.

Macy's POV

The party started, and the crowd trooped in, it was a big party with so many dignitaries in attendance, and it made me wonder just how rich the Torres was, well, that is a question for another day.

"Now aren't you the most gorgeous woman under this roof." Derick's voice brought me out of my thoughts. I smiled at his words, he always knows how to put a smile on my face.

"Thanks, babe,"

"Common dance with me." He takes me up to the dance floor, and we start dancing to the music,I noticed most of the ladies staring longingly at Derick and eyeing me evilly like I stole something that was theirs, I ignored them and just had fun with my man who just couldn't stop looking at me, We danced for a while until my bladder screamed for a release and I excused myself to the ladies room.

Done with my business, I went back to the party, I noticed I was being watched, and I couldn't see who, but I had this feeling I just couldn't fathom I felt like I was being drawn to someone, but who?

Derick comes over to me, and I am so happy to see him right now, he whispers in my ears and I giggle at his words, then he kisses me, it was a short one. He pulls away and stares in a direction with a smile on his face, I follow his gaze and see a tall man in a tux standing with both hands in his pocket and staring right back at us. Derick drags me by my arm over to where the man is standing, and I follow suit.

"Hey Liam, bro, I missed you, how have you been?" I hear Derick say to the gorgeous man in front of us who doesn't say a word but rather stares at me with a faceless expression, which causes me to gulp hard,

" I Have been good brother," He finally answers after glancing at me for a minute

" I want you to meet someone special." Derick says, holding my hands, "Meet my Girlfriend, Macy," Mr. Gorgeous merely stares at me without a single emotion on his face.

" Nice to meet you," I say with my hands stretched out, Mr. Gorgeous just looked at my hands and at that moment turned his back and walked out of the room, leaving my hands hanging.What the hell just happened, why did he walk out like that, I felt embarrassed by his actions.

Derick too looked confused at his brother's actions, "I am so sorry about that babe, I think he got distracted."

" You've been talking about your brother for a while now, and I have been wanting to meet him because he's the only one in your family that I haven't met, and he does this!."

" I apologize on his behalf about his behavior babe, something must be up because he doesn't behave like this?"

" I think he dislikes me, Derick."

" Do not sound that way, I know my brother, and he is not like that, just relax okay."

LIAM

I ran out of the pack house hurt, My wolf was howling in my head for us to go back to our mate, to claim and mark her right there, but that was the last thing I wanted now. I knew I should not have run away however my mind was in a frenzy,

It took everything in me to control my wolf, the bond called unto her and I wanted to take her into my arms and kiss her, but that would hurt my brother and shock my mate who is oblivious to who I am to her.I ran fast to the woods out back, and I burst into my wolf, allowing Rage to take control while I retreated to the back of his mind, I don't know how long we ran for, but I know it was for hours.

I was exhausted after the run. I put on some clothes we normally hide in the woods in case of emergency and walked back to the pack house.

Entering the house through the back door, I walked straight to my room, after taking a shower, I heard a knock on my door and I knew instantly it was Mom

"Come in Mom, it's open."

" Son, where have you been? You missed out on everything," she says,

" I am sorry Mom, I just had some business to attend to." I lie

" Are you, okay son? You don't look well,"

" I am fine Mom I am just stressed that's all,"

" If you say so, join us for dinner since you missed out on the party,"

" Alright then," I say and kiss her head.I enter the kitchen and Rage takes control for a minute, seeing her seated at the table with my family and having dinner. Not only that, but I thought she left, what the hell is she still doing here?

" Son, are you okay?" Dad says, and everyone turns to look at me, including my mate.No, I was not okay! I wanted to yell, so everyone understood the pain I was facing right now. The color of my eyes turned to that of my wolf, but I immediately shut it.

I groaned inwardly as her intoxicating scent filled the room, it did unimaginable things to my body, and fucking loved every bit of it. I opened my eyes and I smirked at her as our gazes were now fixed on each other, I drowned in those ocean-blue eyes.

Macy had her gaze fixed on Liam the entire time, she felt drawn to him for reasons unknown to her the room was full of tension, and her eyes observed him, Liam moved toward the table and Macy watched closely as he took a seat close to Mom.

" Alright then let's dig, so the food does not turn cold," Mom says.
