Leon Soo-Yun was a 23-year-old female. Her personality was unlike any other. She was a sweet, gentle, and sensitive young lady who valued herself and her self-esteem above all else. Her parents never cursed her. She was a sweet and shy person.
Jang Jun-Sang was a CEO twenty-five years old. He had a cold demeanour. Jang had no faith in love. Jun-Sang believed that he could buy love with money. He valued his work above all else. Jun-Sang is obsessed with perfection. He disliked people who were clumsy.
~
Soo-Yun and Jun-Sang sat across from each other, discussing their unexpected wedding, which their mothers had requested. Jun-Sang shifted his gaze to Soo-Yun, who was constantly looking down at her hands, heaved a deep breath, and leaned in close.
I know you don't want to marry me, and I don't want to marry you either, so I made a deal. Okay? " "We can easily divorce under this contract."
He looked at Soo-Yun and waited for her to say something, but she was lost in her thoughts.

FlashBack
She was frantically running around the hospital. Her mother was sobbing uncontrollably when her name was called. She turned around to see her family doctor standing in front of her.
"Doc Jeff, Where is my father? Mr. Leon, C-could you please tell me where he is?." With a disappointed expression, Jeff looked down at the floor. "I apologise. But, Soo-Yun, your father--" She was aware of what he was about to tell her. She patted his shoulder and stared at him without emotion. "Can you guide me in the right direction?"
****
Dr. Jeff showed Soo-Yun her father's dead body. They wrapped a white sheet over him. She approached him and uncovered his face. She burst into tears and cried her heart out after seeing him. She began hitting his chest.
"Why, Father? Whyyyyy? Why are you doing this to us? You said you'd never abandon me, so get up. Get up now, it's no longer funny, I said. Get up. I know you're joking, but it's not funny. Please get up. It hurts, Daddy."
She collapsed on the floor, and Dr. Jeff rushed her to the emergency room, leaving her mother and brother concerned.
~
She woke up after a while and found her mother sitting on the bed. Mrs. Leon was so concerned about her daughter's health that she couldn't bear seeing her in such pain. With teary eyes, she cast a sad glance at her mother. She hugged her for a few seconds before breaking down in tears.
"Mom? What happened to my father?" Soo-Yun sobbed in her arms. "He's gone, Soo-Yun; accept it." Soo-Yun yanked away from the hug, stunned, and looked at her mother. "Didn't someone kill him, Mom?" Her mother looked at her and gave her the most pitiful smile. "Shhh." "Go to sleep now; I'll be right back."
~
Mrs. Leon exited the room, leaving her alone. She couldn't bear the thought of her daughter on such a big stage. Mrs. Leon took a seat on the bench. Mrs. Jang approached her and patted her on the back.
"She'll be just fine. You must first calm yourself." She nodded and took Mrs. Jang's hand in hers.

Days Passed
Soo-Yun and her mother were arguing about their business. She couldn't handle it on her own. Mrs. Leon wants her to take over the company after her father's death.
"Soo-Yun, you should work for us. We're losing a lot of projects. It isn't good. Your father worked very hard for it. I require your assistance. I'm old. It's too much for me. Your younger brother is too young to deal with it."
Her mother encouraged her to work for the company. Soo-Yun refused to participate. She has a lot of cases to solve. "Mom, you know I'm a lawyer. I can't because I have so many cases to solve."
Soo-Yun took her jacket and exited the house. She needs to get some fresh air. Mrs. Jang forced Mrs. Leon to sit on the couch by holding her hand. "Calm down, Mrs. Leon; let her do whatever she wants."
They both carried on with their conversation. After a while, they both realised that their children were still young, and why not? They are both married. They both said it at the same time. "What about their nuptials?" They both laughed and hugged each other.
~
At Night
Mrs. Leon tried to convince her daughter to marry Mrs. Jang's son after dinner. She has been his best friend since elementary school. They are both very familiar with one another. Soo-Yun was not ready to marry at such a young age, and she also desired to concentrate on her career. She inserted her fingers into her ears.
"Mom, please stop forcing me." Mrs. Leon let out a deep sigh and lied to her. "Your father has always wished for you to marry him."
She looked at her mother and nodded in agreement after hearing her father's name. She adored her father, and when her mother informed her that it was her father's wish, she immediately agreed. But her mother lied to her because of Soo-Yun and her younger son's future. She must save her business.
~
Meanwhile, Mrs. Jang was attempting to persuade her son, a very arrogant individual. "I can't. You are already aware that I am in a relationship. So don't make me."
He was cursing his parents and throwing objects on the floor. His mother looked at him, stunned. "She is a gold digger, and you must comply with my decision. I'm your mom. I know what is best for you."
Jun-Sang leaned in close and looked her in the eyes. "You can't make me do it, Mom. I'm no longer a child."
Mr. Jang was staring at them without saying anything, but this conversation was becoming toxic. "Jang, keep your cool. Your mother is correct. Follow her orders."
When Mr. Jang said that to his son, his gaze shifted to his father and he gave him a sharp look. "What if I don't listen to her?"
Mr. Jang stood up and approached them. He locked his gaze on his son's. "Then you're no longer a member of our family."
Jung-Sang stared at him, took his car keys, and rushed out. "What are your thoughts? Will he return?" Mr. Jang placed his hand on the shoulder of his wife. "Don't worry, he has to return."
****
Jun-Sang rang the doorbell at his girlfriend's house. He hugged her tightly as she opened the door. She broke the hug by patting his back. "I left them because they wanted me to marry mom's best friend's daughter." She was stunned and shoved him. He cast a soft glance at her. She gave him a furious look.
"What? Are you insane? Did you leave your entire fortune? And you can count on me to live with you. I'm sorry, Mr.; please leave and never return. Bye.."
He was shocked and heartbroken at the same time; he went to his car; he had no emotions; and even though he didn't cry, he questioned himself. Was I not good enough for her; she ended our relationship because I left all the money; mom was correct; she is a gold digger; I must agree with mom's decision.

FlashBack ends.
Because Soo-Yun was deep in thought, Jun-Sang clapped his hands. He stroked her cheek. "Are you paying attention? I don't have time to waste here; just say yes or no."
Soo-Yun returned to reality with a weak smile. "All right, I'll sign."
He then stood up and walked to his car. Soo-Yun remained seated. She gave him a sidelong glance.
I remember he was a nice person, but now he is extremely rude. We went to the same high school and college. We used to be close, but he changed after meeting Joon Haneul.

FlashBack
Someone hugged Soo-Yun from behind as she walked to her class. She is aware of the individual. Jun-Sang, her best friend, has called.
"What are you doing, Jang? We're at school. What if someone sees us this way?" Jun-Sang releases her from the hug and strokes her cheeks.
"I don't mind. I'm hugging my best friend, and everyone knows how close we are." She took his hands in hers and looked him in the eyes.
"But we're still in school. Now come on, leave me already." She made a pouty face after saying that. "All right, but you're so boring."
He averted his gaze because he didn't want to see her pouty expression. "Oh, you know a new student is going to join us today?"
Jang looked at her, leaning in close and forcing her to take a step back. "Leave it, and tell me." "How are you doing?"
Soo-Yun was such an idiot. She didn't understand his actions, which always irritated him. "Are you serious? You met me yesterday and now you're asking how I'm doing."
Jun-Sang poked his tongue into his cheek. "Why can't you answer me properly, Soo-Yun? Why do you always make me angry for no reason?" She averted her gaze and pouted. "You have a terrible temper." He shoved her away.
"I'm going to class, so please excuse me. Bye."
She whimpered. "Wait here for me..." They proceeded to their class

FlashBack End.
"Oh my goodness, Soo- Yun had forgotten about it. Don't worry about it; you have other things to do. Let's meet up with him and tell him it's all over."
In front of a sizable, stunning residence, Soo-Yun's car stopped. She flung open the car door and got out. After letting out a long sigh, Soo-Yun moved toward the front gate. He flung open the door just as she was going to ring the bell at the gate. He was giving her a serious look.
He was ready to give her a hug when he exclaimed, "You are finally here, Soo-Yun." in a deep voice. She moved backwards to get away from his contact.
"Sang-Woon, I came here to make a clarification for you." He was ready to touch her again when she took a step back, giving him a perplexed expression.
"Let me at least give you a hug, So-Yun."
She shrugged in the negative. He is aware that something is amiss with her. Sang-Woon welcomed her inside.
"Soo-Yun, come in. Let's sit down and discuss it."
He caught her eye as she grinned.
Soo-Yun plopped down on the couch as soon as they entered the launch. She received the juice glass from Sang-Woon. She exhaled deeply.
"I'm sincerely sorry, Sung-Woon."
He approached her and sat down next to her after scowling.
"Soo-Yun, what happened to you? Are you alright?"
A tear ran from her eye as she bowed her head. He gave her a worried-looking stare.
"You know you can tell me, Soo-Yun. What took place?"
She nodded and cast a thoughtful glance into his eyes.
"I - I'm Getting Married,"
His eyes began to fill with tears, and his heart missed a beat.
"W-what?"
She got up and turned her back on him.
"Yes, I'm very sorry, I swear."
She was afraid of losing him, and her voice was trembling. He is, after all, her love. She is terrified even if she is unaware that he was not his first love.
"I'm leaving. The story comes to an end here. Avoid contacting me."
She stepped outside to his house, leaving him behind.
When Sang-Woon turned to face the door, he shed a tear.
"Soo-Yun, I adore you. I'll adore you forever."

following a few days.
Their wedding day had come. Everyone was working hard on preparations. The bride-to-be, Soo-Yun, was admiring her wedding gown while posing in front of the mirror. Her untidy hairdo looked lovely with the tea pink wedding dress she was sporting, along with simple diamond stud earrings. Her mother and Mrs. Jang appeared as the door abruptly opened while she was applying her cosmetics.
"My sweetie, are you ready? The visitors are waiting for you."
With a big smile, Mrs. Leon questioned her. She gave her a small nod while putting on a fake smile.
"Your appearance is stunning. Jun-Sang will fall in love with you."
Laughingly, Mrs. Jang said. She only received a smile from Soo-Yun.

without giving her a second thought, he put the ring on her finger. When the priest abruptly uttered something that caused both of them to scowl, Soo-Yun was gazing admiringly at Jun-face Sang's and adoring his features.
"You have just become husband and wife. You can kiss the newlywed."
As he went closer to her, Jun-Sang fixed her with a hard glance. Her heart was racing so loudly that she was attempting to regulate it. Soo-Yun fiercely closed her eyes. Jun-Sang kissed her forehead as he knelt down to her level. Everyone began to applaud as soon as he turned back.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Soo-Yun left the gathering right away to go to her room since she had become weary of the artificial grin after receiving so many visitors. Soo-Yun turned to face the wall. There were also numerous images of her father. She let out a long sigh as she closed her eyes. She shed a single tear, which perfectly captured how she was feeling at the time.
"Dad? Why did you abandon me in his obscene world? You know, pretending to be a strong person in front of everyone is really difficult. They simply have no comprehension."
She snapped a photo of her father and herself. Her cheeks broke into a tiny smile.
"Look, I did it. I love you dad, hope you are doing well in heaven. I hope you're content."
She repositioned the image on the table. She took a seat on the bed and examined her wedding ring.
"Jang Jun-Sang, you've changed a lot."
A flashback entered Soo-Yun's consciousness as she closed her eyes.
~*~*~
In an effort to get to her lesson on time, a girl was sprinting down the hallway. Making a loud thrust, she ran into someone who was on the ground and collapsing. She closed her eyes and moaned in anguish. Someone extended a hand to her. Once her eyes finally opened, she noticed a hand in front of her.
"I'm SO sorry. Are you alright?
She mustered a grin as she turned to face the individual.
"I suppose, yea."
He helped her stand up while she was holding his hand.
She smiled at him and said, "Thank you so much. They heard the ring just as he was going to speak. He was stunned when she suddenly became frightened and fled.
~*~*~*~*~*~
She opened her eyes as the flashback of her past ended in her mind.
"It was him, Moon Sang-Woon." I'm sorry Moon, we were about to be with each other, but fate wants something else."
She was in her thoughts, and suddenly someone knocked on the door. She stood up and went towards the door.
She opened the door and Jang Jun-Sang was standing there without taking a glance at her; he said.
"Let's go, everyone, we're looking for you."
She nodded and took a step forward. He went after her. She was about to take a step up the stairs when her foot twisted and she fell. Jang ran towards her, held her by her waist, and bumped her on his chest. She closed her eyes tight, bracing herself for a fall, but as she collided with his chest, she looked at the person who had saved her. She cast a glance at him. Jang Jun-Sang had a firm grip on her. She exclaimed. "Jun-Sang? I'm okay. You can leave me now." She said in one breath. He sighed and relaxed his grip.
"Soo-Yun, be cautious. I'm not sure why you're always clumsy."
He said indifferently and walked away from her. She followed him, pouting.
************************************************************************************
She went to the car after greeting her parents and sat down. As Jun-Sang started the car, she gave a small wave to her brother. They eventually drove away. He was preoccupied with the road and didn't realise the lovely bride sitting next to him. She smiled as she looked at Jun-Sang.
"Jun-Sang?"
In response, he simply hummed.
"Do you remember how we used to be in school?"
She approached him in the hopes of striking up a conversation, but what he said disappointed her.
"I don't remember so."
She gave a sad smile and looked out the window. Soo-Yun assumed there was no way to communicate with him any longer. She closed her eyes and fell asleep. He sighed as he looked at her."I am sorry." He mumbled and concentrated on getting home. Jun-Sang pulled the handbrake as they reached the house, causing Soo-Yun to awaken. She tried to clear.vision by opening her eyes. She then got out of the car and arranged her wedding gown. Soo-Yun attempted to take a step, but her wedding gown prevented her from doing so. Jun-Sang notices her sighing. He decided to approach her and took her in his arms. Her pupils dilated."Don't be pleased. I'm simply assisting you." He said bitterly and led her into the house. Jun-Sang entered the house, his maids and guards all staring at him with their jaws dropped. He took her into her room and put her down. She had no idea she was staring at him all the time.
"This is your room. We don't have to share a room. Please do not enter my room without my permission. Prepare yourself. We'll talk about the contract tomorrow at 9:00 p.m."
He said this and then left her alone in her room.
Soo-Yun sighed and took a glance at the window. "He has changed a lot," she stated, and went to freshen up. Jun-Sang took his phone out and glanced at the wallpaper. He smiled sadly and shook his head. "We were so happy, Haneul" Jun-Sang caressed his phone's screen.
In the morning, Soo-Yun came down for breakfast, where Jun-Sang was waiting for her. "Good Morning Jun-Sang." She greeted him with a soft smile. Jun-Sang nodded at her without taking a single glance at her. Soo-Yun sighed and sat opposite him. "You remember what I told you last night, Soo-Yun?" He asked in a deep voice, making her flinch, and a glass of juice spilled on her. She gasped and turned her gaze on Jun-Sang, who was shooting her death glare. "What the–'' Jun-Sang controlled his anger before saying further. "Why are you so clumsy, Soo-Yun?" He retorted, making Soo-Yun sad and embarrassed in front of the maids. One maid came to Soo-Yun with a towel and started cleaning the mess. "I-I am so-sorry," Soo-Yun apologised while stuttering. Jun-Sang stood and left the dining room immediately. Mrs. Rim came to her and patted her back, Soo-Yun staring at her with teary eyes. "It's okay Soo-Yun, you know him. He got angry easily. "Mrs. Rim said to her to make her calm as she knew Soo-Yun was the most sensitive girl. Mrs. Rim is the caretaker of Jun-Sang. She is the most trustworthy person. Soo-Yun nodded at her and wiped her tears.
In the study room, Jun-Sang and his lawyer friend were waiting for Soo-Yun, suddenly the door wide open revealing Soo-Yun. She bowed to them respectively. "Soo-Yun you have grown up a lot," Won-Chul stated, and went towards her. She smiled and hugged her. She hugged him back but immediately broke the hug as she felt a powerful gaze on her. Jun-Sang cleared his throat, catching their attention. "Let's discuss the contract," Jun-Sand said and started reading the papers. Soo-Yun sighed and took a seat beside Won-Chal.
"So. Soo-Yun the rules are,"
No 1: You may not interfere with his matters, like office work and legal things.
No 2: You will not expect him to give you value as a wife.
No 3: You can't fall in love with him, and if you did, it will be your responsibility, not his.
No 4: You can't force him to attend parties and other activities with you.
No 5: You may not go to his room, study room.
No 6: You may touch nothing which belongs to him.
No 7: You may not invite your friends to his house, oh! Especially male friends.
No 8: You may not talk and spend time with his housemaids.
No 9: You may not meet his family without his permission.
And the last one, Soo-Yun, you know it is a contract marriage, so you can't stop him from dating anyone or meeting anyone or he will also not stop you." Won-Chal cleared her and took a glance at his friend, who was staring at Soo-Yun with no emotions. Soo-Yun nodded in order of agreement. Won-Chal passed her the pen, and she glanced at Jun-Sang, who was gazing at her emotionlessly. She sighed and signed the agreement. After that, she bowed to Won-Chal and left them alone.
"Dude, this is too much. I know you liked her, but now why are you doing this to her?" Won-Chal asked his friend, who didn't bother to answer him. "Stop admiring things in your head and focus on your work," Jun-Sang said rudely to his friend and went out to the study room. Soo-Yun was going somewhere when suddenly Jun-Sang's eyes met her. He looked at her, confused. "Are you going somewhere?" He asked her, making her frown. She nodded at him and took her file, about to go out of the door, but stopped by Jun-Sang. "May I ask you where are you going?" "She glanced at Jun-Sang, who was holding her arm. "It is none of your business, Mr. Jang." She said and took her arm out of his grip. He rolled his eyes and someone giggled while looking at them from far away.
Soo-Yun was sitting in front of Dr. Deff, who was busy working on his laptop. She was so impatient, she just wanted her father's medical report. "Did you find it, Dr. Jeff?" she asked him while tapping her fingers on his table. He shook his head, making her sad. "I told you Soo-Yun, it is difficult to find the record, and I told you before someone cleared the records of your father's reports." He reminded her again, but she had some hopes if she found something. After visiting Dr. Jeff, she felt disappointed in herself as a lawyer. She could still find nothing. She didn't have any clue or proof of her father's death. Soo-Yun entered the house. The lights were out. She frowned and took her phone out to her bag. She was about to turn on the flashlight, but flinched as suddenly the lights turned on. "WHERE WERE YOU AT THIS HOUR?" Jun-Sang shouted at her, giving her a death glare making her step back. "W-hy do y-you care? Y-you are the one who told m-me not to interfere in y-your mat-ters." She said while stuttering, making him angrier. "That is not the answer to my question, Jang Soo-Yun," Jun-Sang said, glaring at her. She sighed and made her way to the room. "STOP RIGHT NOW JANG SOO-YUN," Jun-Sang shouted again, sending her shiver. She stopped at her spot and glanced at an angry Jun-Sang. "What's wrong with you?" She whispered to him and he sighed. He left her dumbfounded. Soo-Yun shook her head and headed to her room.
Meanwhile, Jung-Sang sat in his chair and sighed. "What is wrong with me? Why is she affecting me?" He questioned himself and rubbed his face with his palms.
Soo-Yun lay on her bed. She closed her eyes, and a tear escaped to her eyes, making her sobs. "Dad, I miss you." She whispered in her sobs and hugged the pillow which was next to her. She didn't know someone was listening to her sobs behind the door. He was feeling so hopeless. Jun-Sang knows he can't hug her. He couldn't comfort her. Jung-Sang clenched his jaw and went to his room.
Moon Sang-Woon was standing on the terrace where Soo-Yun and he used to spend time together. "I miss you, my love." He whispered, taking a glance at the moon, missing his love. His eyes welled up with tears. He sobbed while wiping his tears away. "I will make you mine again Soo-Yun," he said, and chuckled sadly.
