Opposite Mates - Alpha and Omega

I woke up as early as I can today. I'm currently making myself a short breakfast so I won't get hungry. Getting a job in a reputable company like that is going to be hard and stressful. By the end of the day, I hope to get the job because I've been depending on it a lot.

My parents see me as a burden, they are always ashamed of me. People hardly know that I'm from that family. My name is Anastasia Cobben. I'm the third child of my family. We come from the Blue Moon pack. My pack is the second biggest pack in the whole continent. Yeah, the biggest for now is the White Moon Pack.

Just like you're guessing, this is a rivalry. We're kinda not in good terms with the White Moon Pack who happens to be the leading pack for now.

Just like you're thinking, I'm a werewolf. I am not exactly what my parents would be proud of at anytime. I am eighteen now and unluckily for me, I am still in high school. This should be my final year though.

I am subjected to a lot of bullying and embarrassment even though I am smart and intelligent. I only have one problem. My weakness.

My problems only got worse when I shifted into an Omega wolf instead of an Alpha or Beta just like my sister and brothers. My parents saw me as a disgrace and weak, they think I'm probably not their child. I've received bullying from my family and a lot of people. They all see me as nothing, as if it's a big crime to be an omega.

I left my parents to live with the only person who understands me, my aunt Carmen. She has been supportive and has always believed I had potential.

Though I live with her, she's also struggling to take care of her kids since my parents cut off all her supplies. Her husband is dead and she's left with her two seven year old twins, Keira and Keiran. Because she took me in, she almost lost everything but she never gave up. She's the reason I am going to this job interview, luckily I was selected.

My resume is kinda fake, but it looks so real that no one will ever find out. And I'm on vacation for now.

This is one of the biggest companies owned by the Alpha king of the White Moon pack. I know it is dangerous for me but I will only work for a few months and resign. The pay is good, they won't suspect a thing. No one even knows I'm a werewolf and it is better that way.

"Are you done with your breakfast dear?." Aunt asked coming into the kitchen.

"Almost aunt. I'm rushing so I can get there as fast as I can. I don't want to miss this opportunity." I replied.

"I still think this is dangerous. Alpha Kevin will be able to smell you no matter how weak you are. That could cause problems for you, especially if he finds out your pack."

I smiled, "Aunt... No one gives importance to Omegas so forget it. We're just going to work and nothing more."

"You know he's handsome right?."

I shrugged, "That's not a matter of concern. I'm going to behave aunt. I promise."

She hugged me.

"I wish you good luck dear."

"Thank you aunt." I'm gonna need it.

I walked into the company which is so huge, it's easy to get lost. I was able to find my way through the help of the grumpy receptionist. I met everyone already waiting as I took the last number and had my seat.

We waited for almost an hour before the interview began. All these time, I was grooming myself and preparing for whatever may come my way.

Until the woman we know as her secretary came to announce to the remaining five that the interview is over. Like what the hell?. I spent days and nights preparing for this and I wasn't even given a chance to try?. I am so angry, this is unfair and so unprofessional.

"You really wasted my time moron." I stomped out leaving the others who are arguing.

I walked out of the building and sat on the sidewalks. This is really unacceptable. I wasted all my time because of this, he didn't even give me a chance to prove myself. What's his problem?.

"I'm not going to leave. I won't just leave like that and let him waste my effort!." I yelled at no one in particular.

I thought of a plan, then an idea struck me. I called my aunt that I'll be late. I lied to her about the interview and I waited till evening. I followed my instincts and searched for his car when it was getting dark. I sneaked to the garage which was quite hard. I almost got caught.

But I made it on time to get into his trunk which I opened with my claws. I hid in it and waited for a long while. I finally heard him open the door and the car started moving a few moments later. I stayed quiet in the car as it kept moving in high speed. This guy's a suicide driver, he's not scared because he has powers right?. What an irresponsible jerk.

The car suddenly pulled to a stop. Has he gotten home already?. What am I even doing?.

'Giving him a piece of my mind.' My subconscious mind replied.

Okay this is where I get down. As I tried opening the trunk to come down, I was met with a pair of angry red eyes. Oh my, he's so scary. I didn't move as I just decided to stay down and watch what is going to happen. He's probably gonna kill me.

What have you gotten yourself into Sia? I'm so dead. He's so gonna rip my head off.

"When you're done imagining how I'm going to kill you, you can come down so we would proceed." He said harshly.

His voice is so high that I almost peed on myself. I can't fight him. There's no way I would have the power to fight an Alpha. The leading Alpha at that. Now I understand why everyone thinks I'm useless. Aside fro being weak, I also happen to be dumb.

"Get out of my car!." He roared.

I jumped out of the car immediately, I stood in front of his intimidating and dominating figure. I can't even look at his face. I looked around and saw the road is dark and silent, no one would see anything so I better run. I suddenly felt my body being lifted up through my neck and I began choking.

"Please... I'm... Sorry.." I tried to say but he didn't listen. His eyes are red and he is just too strong. I know that this is my end.

Except... His countenance changed and he dropped me on the floor. I struggled for my breath and tried to run away but he caught me. I think the wolf in me also cried out.

"I'm sorry... I'll leave now and you'll never see me again." I said with tears threatening to fall.

It's obvious he isn't done with me yet. I don't think I wanna work with this man anymore. I just wanted to get this job badly so I can help my aunt, now I've met my doom.

"Get into the car." He ordered.

Without hesitation, I got into the car still terrified. Is he taking me somewhere else to kill me? What would be my fate now?. And why the hell is my wolf yelling MATE?!.

KEVIN

The White Moon pack has always been known to be one of the strongest and leading of all werewolves pack in the world. The leader of the pack Alpha Gideon was a great king who used all his power and time to protect and guide his people. That man is my father, who is now already dead due to murder.

We don't know who yet but were going to find that killer. We already put my father to rest a few months ago, now I'm going to take over from him. My name is Kevin, the new Alpha king of the White Moon Pack. As a king, I'm expected to have a queen right?.

Bad news is, she died along with my father. She was not really my mate but she's my first and only love. I've fallen for her since high school and we were dating. I didn't care about finding my mate because I love her.

What really happened that night is still uncertain to me but one thing is sure, I'm going to apprehend the culprit sooner or later. For now I'm going to do what is expected of me. The enemy is right here in this pack, I know it. And I'm going to fish that person out.

"Sir the applicants are here." My secretary said breaking into my thoughts.

Apart from coming from a royal family, I am a rich business tycoon. That's to say that I'm a multibillionaire. I have a lot of assets and my corporation is one of the biggest in the continent.

My dead girlfriend Nina used to be my personal assistant, she was a jealous freak who didn't want to see any girl with me. She's also a werewolf and a beta at that. I loved her a lot, she was very sweet and loving to me.

Right now, I don't think any woman can fill her space in my heart even though I have to get married later on. I'll never love any girl as much as I love her, that's for sure.

"I'll be there in a few minutes Amy." I said to my secretary.

She nodded and walked out of my office. I sighed and got up, though I don't want to. I have a lot to do so I need a personal assistant. I got to the interview room and the applicants, mostly female, started coming in.

Most of them seemed qualified and I stopped after interviewing ten people.

"Amanda, tell the others to leave. I'm done interviewing them. I'm going to make my choice from these ones." I said.

"But sir... There are still five applicants remaining after we cut them from sixty to fifteen. You want me to send them away?." She asked.

I glared at her, Is she trying to tell me how to run my business or what?.

"It's not what you think sir. I'm just trying to..."

"Your suggestion is not needed Amanda. I don't need you to tell me how to run things in my life." I seethed.

She shrugged and went out. I've only been able to tolerate her because of my mother. I am not that kind of patient person who would allow just anyone into my life. But Amanda is not an ordinary person, she's a wolf too. Her father and mine used to be best friends, she wanted to work with me so my mother helped her.

I sipped a glass of water and walked out of the interview room. I heard people mumbling from the other side, they were all complaining about me. I don't bloody care what they think, I have made my decision.

'You really wasted my time you moron' I heard someone say from there.

I walked back to my office to continue with my work. I'll make my decision tomorrow and choose whoever I want. Except, I don't get why a I'm perceiving a weak wolf. An omega I think, and she's the one insulting me.

I searched for her with my abilities, she left but she's not planning to go without seeing me.

Does this girl not know who she is dealing with? And why do I suddenly feel strange?. I finished all my work in the office and it was evening already. I went to the parking lot, I've decided to drive myself for now till I can get over Nina's death. Which is going to be impossible.

I opened my car and perceived the strong scent, she's in my car. I pretended not to know as I drove away to a very quiet road.

Then I went to the back of the car, she is already trying to escape. I know she's scared of me, out of anger I tried to strangle her but I just discovered something. How can this even be possible? Could things get any worse for me?. It is not her plea or tears that moved me, I need to confirm this first.

"Get into the car." I ordered and she got in without arguing.

I started the car and drove off to my mansion. I sensed her fear all the way, I didn't say anything. I just want to know who she is and why she's such a low rank wolf at this young age. Or... Was she human before she became this. I had a lot on my mind.

"Get down and follow me." I ordered again.

I love the fact that I am intimidating her, she deserves it for trying to mess with me. I walked into the house, straight into my study and closed the door.

"Sit."

She sat down facing the floor, trembling.

"You have one chance to save yourself from my wrath. First you're going to tell me who you are and what pack you belong to. Then you're going to give me a good reason why I shouldn't kill you." I leaned back on the chair. "Of course I'll give you the chance to a fair fight, so there is no cheating. Start talking."

"I... My name is Anastasia Cobben... If I tell you my pack, you will still kill me anyways. I only wanted the job and I wasn't given a chance to interview. I'm sorry.." She cried.

She looks pathetic but somehow her tears don't move me. I don't plan to kill her anymore, I'm just trying to scare her. But she said her pack...

"What pack are you from?." I asked.

"It is... The Blue Moon pack." She blurted out.

I arched a brow in amusement. Even though she knows she's an enemy, she still took her chances and came to me. And she went this far just to get a job?.

"Aside from knowing that you're my enemy, you want me to hire you even though you're not qualified?."

"I am sorry sir. I just wanted to help my aunt out. She's suffering because she took me in. Everyone hates me, I didn't want to let her down."

I shook my head obviously not in the mood to lisen to her pathetic story. I've just got this headache with what I've discovered. As much as I want nothing to do with her, I can't let her go. The wolf inside me is crying out, this may be bad luck too.

"I will give you this job on one condition." I finally said after looking at her pathetic face for minutes.

Her face lit up, she shouldn't get too excited yet.

"Yes sir... I'll do anything." She said hurriedly.

"Anything?." I emphasized.

I guess she realized and cleared her throat.

"I'll do anything you want, if it is something I can do sir." She replied.

I shrugged, "I only want you to live with me. You would go to meetings with me, make me coffee and run errands for me. Don't expect me to be all lovey dovey on you. And the shortest term for your contract is three years."

Her eyes widened like she wasn't expecting me to say that.

"Three years... Sir I... Am still in high school and in my final year."

I smirked. Of course I know she's in high school, she doesn't expect me to give her salary for a month and then she'll quit right?.

"That means you can't do it... And our conversation is over." I stood up walking to the door.

"I'll forgive you just because I just found out you're my mate. But there's no way I'll stoop low to have a weak omega as my queen. You can get out now and never show your face to me. My driver will drop you home." I opened the door.

She slowly got up and rushed out. I shook my head as confusion ran through me. As much as I don't want anything to do with her, my wolf is crying out for her. I finally found my mate after such a long time and it happens to be an immature omega teenager who also happens to be from the rival pack. Just great.

I still love Nina, and no weak mate can stop that love.

The door to my study suddenly opened revealing the omega. Why has she come back?.

"To claim what's rightfully mine." She said giving me a shock.

What's rightfully hers? What's that supposed to mean?.

I followed him into his office which is huge. It's even bigger than my new bedroom. It's well furnished and it looks more like the president's office. Well he's a king right?. What was I expecting?.

He sat down on his chair and fixed his gaze on me. That gaze is making me very uncomfortable because I can't look at him.

"You have a lot of work to do and you came late on your first day. You were not qualified at all yet I let it slide and employed you. You're going to make me regret my decision right?." He said harshly.

I shook in head, "No Sir, I am very sorry. We got stuck in traffic. It won't happen again."

Though I wasn't late, I have no choice than to apologize. It's not even my fault. I came at the time his driver brought me, and I was still early.

"You were supposed to start learning things from Amanda before work begins. I'm giving you an hour to learn things from her and get back here for work. Leave."

I walked out of the office and met his secretary, Amanda like he said. She's not as grumpy as he is and she thought me everything I need to know.

Then I was given a huge pile of files to work on. This can take me a whole week if I was human. I signed up for this anyway. I used my speed abilities to work fast on it. It drained my strength though, I got myself an energy drink.

Just when I thought today's job is done, he called me to his office.

"I have an errand for you. You are going to take this to the my pack. To my father's house, and give it to my mother. You have to be back before the day ends. The driver will take you there." He said and handed a parcel to me.

"Sir, how far is the place?." I asked curious.

"As far as your home. Leave."

I walked out of the company and met with the driver. He started the car and a lot of thoughts crossed through my head. Now that I've just started working, he's already sending me to his pack. What if my family finds out and comes after me?. I have no power now and I wanted to move forward before getting caught.

My luck is just great. After two hours of driving, he suddenly drove through a town. I mean this is where they all reside, the White Moon pack. He entered one of the biggest mansions and stopped in front of it.

"We're here." He said.

I quickly got down with the parcel, the place is swimming with werewolves. All of them are superior to me, there's no one like me here. I looked away and went into the house.

"Stop right there? Who are you?." A harsh voice asked.

I stopped walking, I waited for the scent to get nearer. An alpha. The person got behind me inspecting me, I didn't move. From the look of things and the scent, it's a male.

"Turn around woman." He said.

I turned around to look at him, he looks exactly like my boss. Isn't this... Oh my goodness. He's good looking but his brother looks cooler.

"I'm sure you know who I am. Now answer my question, who are you?." He asked again.

I gulped a bit nervous but I summoned my courage.

"I am Anastasia Cobbens, the new personal assistant to Alpha Kevin." I replied with confidence.

He smirked, "He hates omegas. He accept one as his assistant?. More like personal slave to me."

His words are harsh, truth be told they hurt too. He thinks I'm not worth being a personal assistant? Rather he thinks I'm his slave?.

I've always heard about Alpha Robin. He's a very heartless and ruthless bastard. He doesn't care how many people he hurts and he likes oppressing people like me. In other words, he's the trouble maker in the family.

"Slaves don't get a very large room and large salary to go with. Slaves don't work in an office, slaves don't keep top secrets for their masters. Slaves doesn't go to important meetings with their boss." I replied.

I don't know where that courage cams from but he doesn't seem to like it.

"You can talk back at me now because you work for my brother?." He mocked.

I tried walking away to look for someone who would take me to their mother.

"Stop there." He said harshly and dragged me back.

His eyes are red and he's gritted teeth are scaring the life out of me. What did I do wrong now?.

"Let me go. I haven't done anything to you." I cried.

His claws are going deep into my skin and hurting me. He is indeed a troublemaker. Why did Kevin send me here?.

"You run your little mouth like you're powerful and you dare walk out on me?!." He growled.

"Please... Stop hurting me..." I cried getting weak.

I tried to free myself but he's much stronger than me.

"Robin! Let her go!." I heard someone yell.

He released my hand which is already bleeding staining my white shirt. I looked around and saw a woman and a girl probably my age coming downstairs.

"Why are you hurting the girl Robin?." I heard the older woman ask.

"She was rude to me mother." He lied.

"You're such a shameless liar Robin. We saw you from the moment she entered the house. She was polite enough but you're too persistent in trouble." The girl said.

"Be careful Sheila. I'm still your older brother you know." He gritted his teeth.

She rolled her eyes, "As if that has ever gotten us anywhere. Face it Robin, you're acting like an immature teenager."

"Mother!."

"That's enough Sheila." The woman finally said. Then she faced me, "Who are you?."

"I am Anastasia Cobbens, I am Sir Kevin's personal assistant. He asked me to deliver this parcel to you." I said and gave it to her.

She collected it and nodded, "Good."

"I have to go back now. Excuse me." I bowed.

"No wait." I heard Sheila stop me.

What have I done wrong again?. She walked close to me and surprisingly examined my injured hand.

"Look at how badly hurt you are. And all you want to do is get back to work? You can't go back like this." She said.

I smiled weakly, "No please. I appreciate you a lot but I have to go. My boss asked me to come early, I don't want to lose my job."

"Nonsense. Come on. Your clothes are stained, you don't want to attract unnecessary attention to yourself, do you?." She insisted.

She dragged me upstairs before I could even say anything. I don't get why she's being so nice to me despite knowing that I am a low rank wolf. Everyone usually treats me like I'm useless, I know I am though.

She took me to a room painted in field green and lemon, I guess this is her room. It's girly and very comfortable.

"Sit here. Pull off your shirt while I give to the workers to quickly wash for you. They'll fix the holes and dry it up." She said.

I didn't argue further. I did as instructed and waited for her. She came in with a first aid tool for werewolves. She treated my hand, then she returned the tool.

My mind wasn't at rest as all I wanted was to get back to work. I didn't even notice her giving me an orange juice.

"I am sorry about my troublesome brother. He's always like that." She apologized.

"It's okay. I'm used to this." I replied.

"Can I ask you for a favor?."

I nodded even though I don't know what the favor is. She's been nice to me, I hope I can do her this favor she wants.

"Please don't tell my brother about this. He's gonna kill Robin for hurting his employee no matter the rank. Please."

I am taken aback by her outburst. Is Kevin really going to defend me if I told him?.

"I won't tell him, I promise." She smiled and patted my back.

"I hope you keep your promise, my brother is very persistent in getting the truth out of people."

"I won't tell him a thing no matter what he does."

She nodded and walked out of the room. What makes her think I'd tell him anyway?. Everyone knows what happens to wolves like me. I am used to being treated like I don't deserve to live. Besides he wouldn't take sides with a weakling like me over his own brother.

Sheila has nothing to worry about.

"Your shirt is done. You should start going now so you don't get back to work late."

I wore my shirt and bid her goodbye. I got into the car and the driver drove off. I saw Robin's pair of angry eyes as we drove out. I pray Kevin never sends me to this place again. At least not until I can defend myself from him.
