Chapter 1 ONS-1

Several years earlier.

A plump young man walks timidly down the school halls to get to the classroom as soon as possible. Feeling worried because a few hundred meters in front of him, some naughty students were always waiting to take the lunch or money he had brought with him.

However, there is no other choice. The only access road to enter the classroom is the main hallway. If he got past his soon, he would be on time for class. He also decided to skip classes, which was impossible for him to do.

"Calvin!" shouted a tall, big boy when he saw his target from a distance. Walk closer. He was followed by a group of other children, numbering approximately five people. They all seemed smiling as if they had found an object to play with.

"Why are you just standing here? Are you avoiding me on purpose?" the man snapped, staring intently at his interlocutor.

"I-I... I didn't mean to avoid you," said the teenager named Calvin with a stutter.

"Do not lie!" another man snapped. "You want to play us, I see. Where's your money? We can't even shop for food because we've been waiting too long for you to pass."

Calvin immediately shook his head. "I didn't bring any money today. Mama just gave me carbonarra pasta."

Calvin doesn't brag. He did not carry the stock of money as usual. He deliberately acts like that, intending that these naughty men don't bother him anymore.

However, Calvin's efforts were in vain. These bad boys don't care. Two immediately pushed Calvin's body until he leaned against the locker. While one other seemed to seize the bag that the man was wearing. Get the lunch box out of there. Then he deliberately threw away the pasta that Calvin's mother had prepared until it scattered on the floor of the school corridor.

Not quite up there. One of them even stepped on it on purpose, then scooped it up with his hand. He intended to feed the dirty paste into Calvin's mouth.

"Hurry up and eat this pasta or I and the other kids will beat you black and blue," he threatened earnestly.

While continuing to be held by his hands and body, Calvin shook his head. Closes his mouth tightly. He was trying to resist what was offered to him.

"Please don't do this," Calvin pleaded. His head kept shaking repeatedly.

"You dare to refuse my orders? Eat quickly! Or I will beat you up."

Calvin remained firm in his stance. Trying to survive, not obey what the man in front of him ordered. He could get a stomach ache or maybe diarrhea if he eats the dirty pasta that is proffered.

"You want to be beaten!" shouted the man. He was throwing the pasta in his hand. He took a position, ready to beat Calvin, who his friends were still holding.

"Stop!"

Before the punch hit Calvin's body, a young girl in sportswear seemed to be walking hastily and deliberately approaching. Even when they were only a few inches apart, the girl pushed the big man so that he swayed a little.

"Let him go. Or you will regret it!"

All the children immediately laughed. He was underestimating what the girl said.

"If we don't want it, what do you want?"

"I'll beat you up," he shouted, which returned to triggering the laughter of the naughty children.

"Just beat it if you can," challenged one of them.

The girl nodded. Take a step forward, then grab the arm of a giant man. Folding, then pinning it until it groans and then collapses in pain.

Not only that. When her most prominent opponent can no longer move, the girl turns to other naughty children-beating them one by one without the slightest help until they all give up and decide to run away.

Seeing the contents of Calvin's bag scattered on the floor, the girl took the initiative to help tidy it up. She was picking it up while putting it back in the bag. After tidying up, he handed it back to the item's owner.

"Here is your bag," said the girl.

"Thank you very much. Sorry if I bothered you," Calvin replied while cleaning his bag, which was slightly dirty due to floor dust.

"No need to be shy. If they bother you tomorrow, just call me. I'll beat them up again like before."

He nodded. Had both been silent for a moment. He then cleared his throat to lighten the mood. The next second he held out his hand, inviting us to introduce ourselves.

"To feel comfortable asking for help, I'd like to know your name in advance.

"Ah, of course." The girl nodded and took the hand that Calvin held out in return. "My name is Kimberly Smith, I'm a grade 7 student. You can call me Kimberly. How about yourself?"

Calvin carved a smile. Without an awkward reply to what the girl in front of him asked.

"Thank you very much for your help just now. My name is Calvin Harald. You can call me Calvin. I'm a grade 8 student. It's a pleasure to meet and know you."

Calvin looked intently at one of the beautifully framed photos he was currently holding. In one photo, a stocky boy looks shyly, embracing a tall, thin girl who smiles so loosely.

Calvin certainly remembered. This moment was taken when he was celebrating a school farewell party. There is a feeling of joy because you can graduate with such a satisfying grade. But on the other hand, he also felt sad because he found that he had to be separated from the sweet girl who had helped him.

After the accidental incident in the school hallway, Calvin becomes close to Kimberly. Everywhere, always together. Either they were spending time reading books in the library or exchanging the food they brought. Truly, Calvin felt those were times he would never forget.

However, their togetherness did not last long. Calvin, who is one level above Kimberly, must pass first. He was forced to continue his studies in Germany because he had to join his parents, who had moved places. Calvin, who knew that they would be separated for quite a long time, had even prepared a special gift as a keepsake for Kimberly to keep.

"I deliberately gift this music box to you, Kimberly. If one night you have trouble sleeping, just open it. The songs playing in it will help you fall asleep until you finally fall asleep soundly. Trust me."

Kimberly accepted Calvin's gift-opening the box to see what was inside.

"Thank you. It's really good. I'll keep it well and carefully. I hope when I listen to the songs in it, I can remember you."

Calvin nodded and smiled.

"Of course. I put our picture in there too. So you don't forget to know a fat guy like me."

Kimberly laughed and deliberately directed her hands to pinch Calvin's cheeks playfully.

"Don't worry. I won't forget you, Calvin. Later, when you're successful, don't forget to look for me. Remember! You have to be established and thin first if you want to marry me."

Calvin nodded again. Offers a finger around it. He invited Kimberly to make the pinky promise.

"Of course. I promise. When I grow up to be successful, well established and also thin, I will immediately search for your whereabouts even to the ends of the world. I will propose and then I will ask you to marry as soon as possible."

"Okay," said Kimberly. "I also promise not to marry another man before you come to see me."

Because of this promise, Calvin mobilized all of his father's confidants when he returned from Germany to help find Kimberly's whereabouts. He is lucky to have a father from among the officials, making it easier for Calvin to find anyone he wants to meet.

As soon as he discovered where Kimberly lived, Calvin immediately launched his action. The man even deliberately applied at the EXON company, where Kimberly worked, to surprise the woman.

But it's a shame that when she got accepted for work and met her for the first time, Kimberly didn't even recognize Calvin, who had changed his appearance. What hurts more, he even saw his first love look so intimate with his boss several times. But because he already loves it, Calvin doesn't care. He was determined to continue trying to melt Kimberly's heart to turn away and return to himself.

Chapter 2 ONS-2

Calvin clearly remembers that night he had just come home from work. After finishing cleaning up. He quickly dressed neatly. A friend will pick him up in a few minutes and ask him to go to a bar. One of his best friends, Darrell, has a birthday tonight. He decided to celebrate the birthday at their regular place.

Calvin had not finished wearing clothes when he heard a knock on his bedroom door. Buttoning up his black shirt, Calvin then directed his feet towards the door. It opened immediately, then found the mother, who was already standing there with a glass of milk.

"Where are you going so neat, Calvin?" she asked. The 45-year-old woman came closer, then handed me the glass of milk she was carrying.

"Mom, I'm already big. Why do you like to deliver milk like this."

Instead of answering what Diana asked, Calvin even protested. It was indeed his mother's habit, consistently delivering warm milk every night so Calvin would sleep easily.

"Mama asked you, Calvin. Where are you going tonight? Didn't you just come from work?"

Calvin nodded. Before answering, the man gulped down the milk Diana gave him. When finished, he handed back the empty glass, then answered.

"Darrell's birthday is tonight, Ma. That's why I'm getting ready because I'm going out to go to the event he's making."

"You'll be home at midnight?" Diana inquired.

"I don't know, Ma. It's finished tonight. Besides, tomorrow is a holiday. So it doesn't matter if I come home late."

Diana exhaled slowly. Even though he knew his son was no longer a child, he was always worried when Calvin left until late at night. He was afraid that something terrible would happen to his only son.

"Then who did you go with? Did you bring your own vehicle? If you do bring a vehicle, Mama please don't drink until you're drunk, son."

Calvin immediately laughed. He understood the worry his mother was feeling.

"Mom, you don't need to worry like this. You know myself that I don't like to drink, so how can I get drunk? After all, Felix picked me up and will take me home later. So don't worry about it like this, Mama."

"I'm grateful." Diana, this time breathed a sigh of relief. The feeling of worry he had been feeling was slowly fading away. "That's why, hurry up and find a partner. Don't stay like this alone, son."

Calvin's facial expression immediately showed a confused expression. "What's the correlation between going to a party and finding a companion, Ma?"

"Yes, even if you have a girlfriend, date, or wife, you don't need to be alone when you go anywhere. Mama gets bored every day seeing you being picked up by male friends. Or don't... don't..."

"Could it be what you mean, Mama?" Calvin immediately narrowed his eyes. His feelings immediately turned sour. The Mama unexpectedly even cupped his cheeks. Staring intently, then muttering softly. "Calvin, Mama ask please answer honestly, you're a normal man, right?"

"Meaning, Mom?"

"You're not gay, are you?"

"Jesus Christ!" Calvin immediately exclaimed. His face looked irritated. "I'm of course a normal guy, Ma."

"But how come Mama never saw you go out with a girl friend once? That's what caused Mama to wonder whether you actually like girls or not."

"Of course I like it," said Calvin quickly. "Don't you know, in this world I only like one woman?"

Diana nodded. He understood what his son meant. When he was in junior high school, Calvin once told him that he liked a woman named Kimberly. That feeling of joy and awe arose when Kimberly, kindly saved Calvin from a bunch of naughty kids.

Until the man grew up and even had a job, Calvin always said the same thing, that he only loved one woman and would never change even though Diana and her husband had repeatedly proposed many candidates to accompany the white man.

"But it's useless for you to like a woman who doesn't even recognize you, honey. You're such a waste of time," protested Diana. He always made exasperated with all the behavior shown by his son.

"In a minute, Ma," said Calvin. "Slowly I will make him remember. Once successful, I will immediately ask him to marry."

Diana chuckled. Instead of being supportive, the woman looks like a pessimist.

"I don't know why I'm not sure you can get that woman, Calvin. I'm also worried that the woman you are after actually marries another man. If that happens, you're really wasting your time."

Calvin just smiled. Hearing all the possibilities that his mother feared did not in the least discourage Calvin or choose to back down. His resolve is unanimous. No matter what, Kimberly must be his.

"Just pray for the best for me, Ma. I'm sure God will immediately hear Mama's prayers."

"His, this child," Diana growled. He was excited after hearing his son's answer. "You really are stubborn. Very similar ---"

Diana's sentence was cut off when she and Calvin heard a car horn from outside. It's been confirmed, and it must be Felix, Calvin's best friend, who is on duty to pick him up.

Ignoring the previous conversation, Calvin quickly grabbed his wallet and cell phone from the bedside table. Then he returned to his mother to hug and kiss him as he said goodbye to leave.

"I'll go out first, Ma. We'll continue our conversation later."

"Be careful on the road, don't come home late at night."

Calvin nodded before leaving, and the man had time to answer.

"Relax, Ma. Instead of coming home late, I'll just be home the next morning."

Finished saying that, Calvin immediately ran, intending to escape. He seemed to have memorized his mother's habit of hitting or pinching if he answered carelessly as he had done before.

Chapter 3 ONS-3

Arriving at the Bar, Felix immediately directed Calvin to go to the VIP room on the second floor. There is a private room that a friend deliberately rents to celebrate a birthday with only close friends attending.

For more than four hours, they were all in the Bar. Until it was 12.30 pm, and Calvin intended to go home. Coming down the stairs while talking, Calvin's eyesight accidentally caught a woman he knew so well sitting leaning his head on the bartender's table like he was drunk. To confirm what he saw, Calvin quickened his pace. Closer, then closer. And it turns out his guess was correct.

There was Kimberly, leaning back, holding a glass filled with a drink. It was evident that the woman was in a drunken state.

"Mrs. Kimberly," said Calvin. "What are you doing here?"

The half-drunk Kimberly raised her head. Clucking, annoyed, then shortly answered what Calvin asked him.

"Can't you see? Of course I'm drinking!"

"Yes." Calvin nodded. "I know you're drinking. But why get drunk like this."

"Who's drunk?" Kimberly asked back. "I'm still conscious, Calvin. I can even tell the color of the clothes you're wearing right now."

Calvin nodded again. For some reason, he suddenly felt worried seeing Kimberly's current state.

"But it's late, madam. You'd better get home before Mr. Arsene or Mr. Oliver finds out where you are."

Instead of obeying, Kimberly just laughed. He felt that what Calvin had said earlier was nothing more than nonsense.

"They're not going to come looking for me, Calvin. And you stop interrupting. Better to walk away than keep on rambling in my face."

Calvin shook his head. This time he needed to comply with Kimberly's request.

"No madam. I'm not going to leave you like this."

Hearing Calvin's answer, Kimberly then sighed lazily. Ignoring the man next to her, the woman chose to continue finishing the drink in her hand.

At first, Calvin let Kimberly finish a glass of drink in his hand. Calvin snatched it without permission as soon as he was about to drink the second glass. Distant, as if forbidding Kimberly to continue her activities.

"Are you out of your mind?"

Calvin shook his head. "I just did what I had to do. You better go home now, Mrs. Kimberly."

Kimberly looked even more fed up. Ignoring Calvin's chatter, he then paid for the drink he had finished to the bartender. Seconds later chose to go. But after walking a few steps, Kimberly, who was starting to get very drunk, looked shaky and lost her balance. Inevitably, the woman would almost fall if Calvin did not swiftly catch her body.

"You can't drive your own car in this situation," said Calvin.

After saying goodbye to his friends, Calvin focused on Kimberly again. Deliberately holding the woman's body, then slowly leading her away towards the car.

"I don't want to go home, Calvin," Kimberly muttered softly when she and Arsene's assistant were already in the car.

"Then where are you going at this night?" confused Calvin.

"It's up to you where you take me. To your hotel, penthouse, or apartment. Either way, just don't take me home."

Calvin seemed to think about where to take his first love tonight. He had thought about taking him to a hotel or penthouse, but he was soon worried. He was also afraid that something would happen to Kimberly if he left her alone.

There's no way Calvin could take him home, either. If there is a father and mother, they will immediately interrogate various things. There were better choices than returning Kimberly to her house last night.

Dizzy, with his inner struggles, Calvin got an idea. Remembering that he had a private apartment located in the Paddington area, he quickly brought Kimberly to go there.

Upon arriving, Calvin carefully led Kimberly to immediately enter the apartment unit and the guest room. He led the beautiful woman to lie down, even helping to pull up the blanket so that her body would not get cold.

However, whatever thoughts possessed Kimberly, she pulled Calvin into her arms instead of sleeping. He felt that that night Calvin had suddenly turned into the figure of Arsene.

"Madam, what are you doing?" said Calvin trying to escape.

"Don't leave me, Arsene," Kimberly said softly. "Why don't you want to touch me first?"

"Madam, you must be very drunk by now. I am not Mr. Arsene."

Those were the only words Calvin could utter at this time. When he managed to escape, he quickly kept his distance.

"Don't dodge. Do you really not like me?" Kimberly said again. Straightening up, the woman then sat on the side of the bed. Without the slightest hesitation, she opened her dress and threw it anywhere.

"Am I not beautiful? Is my body not your taste?"

Calvin gulped. Seeing Kimberly, who was now in an innocent state, she quickly pulled the blanket and covered the woman's body in front of her. If this continues, the defense could collapse.

Calvin is indeed a good man. But it's also a lie if you keep proffering it and don't be tempted. He is an ordinary man, as usual.

"Good heavens, madam. You'd better sleep instead of doing crazy things like this."

Kimberly shook her head. Grabbing Calvin's wrist with a frustrated face, he spoke again softly. "Why don't you even touch me? You really humiliated me."

"It's not like that ma'am," Calvin answered in a frustrated tone. "It's just that I'm not the man you want. You're drunk. If anything happens to the two of us, that is, it's you who will regret it later."

Calvin was made dizzy by himself facing Kimberly's behavior which was getting more and more difficult to control.

"Please," Kimberly said again. "Are you sure you don't want to do this with me?"

While holding Calvin's wrist, Kimberly stared fixedly with misty eyes. It looked like he was begging for his request to be granted immediately.
