Chapter 1

AHLUNA PEREZ

"Ahlu! Let's go!" shouted Max, my youngest brother, but if you look at it, it looks like you're older than me, can't you see? Just call me Ahlu.

"When? When the crow turns white! You've been telling us that for years, but we haven't received even five centavos!" I promised and was about to speak again when Mom screamed.

"All right, Ahluna!" We said this at the same time as we sat down on our chairs made of bamboo.

"Is there anything new, it's always like that so let's not expect him to return the things he took from Mom." I said and put my folded clothes that Mom washed yesterday in the cabinet.

"That's almost five thousand Sister, Mom saved it for a week but she only squandered it in three hours." it said.

After a week, I said goodbye to Mom and she agreed because she said it was only once and I needed it in my life, that's why I laughed at Mom.

I drank what was in the glass again and just like before, my face just changed because it was so bitter, I sat down.

I smiled at him again. "Uh.. let me go first." I said and left her and looked for Michelle, where is that woman?

By eight o'clock I approached Michelle. "Come on, it's getting late." I said and he laughed at me.

And as time goes on, I feel dizzy. I was shaking while closing my eyes. There were so many people walking around that I was even more dizzy, adding the disco lights inside, that's why I immediately looked for the exit of Alexa's house and I successfully found it "Aaaahh!" I shouted as soon as I got out because I felt like I could breathe.

I sniffed and drained the contents of the glass I was holding and sat on the edge of the pool. I took off my sandal and dipped my two feet in it and took a deep breath and looked up at the sky.

"Are you okay miss?" I heard someone ask me so I looked at him but I couldn't see his face because of the darkness and my vision was blurry because of my drunkenness.

"Am okhey...dude!" I promised and I heard her laugh so I frowned.

"Why are you laughing!" I shouted and he laughed even harder. Is it crazy? I'm talking to you crazy. Can I drop it in our water?! I don't know how to swim, I said to myself then I laughed and covered my mouth and stood up but because of the wetness of my feet and because of the poison I slipped, fortunately someone caught me otherwise I might have fallen me in the pool

It held tightly to my back and waist while I only held onto its pole.

I can smell this lovely perfume. "You smell so..." I said and I moved closer to him and smelled his neck..I heard his soft swallowing so I looked up at him and watched his face even though it was blurry.

"Wow lips...your lips are red, are you wearing lipstick?" I said then touched it and probably smiled at its softness and because I was so curious I brought him closer to me and kissed him.. I was a little surprised at what I did but I couldn't stop myself.

The next day, Michelle visited me early and we talked outside the house because someone might hear.

"Hey you witch, what happened to you one night at Alexa's party huh? We haven't seen you anymore? Where did you go?" This question after another made me scratch my neck and turn around "Promise me Michelle that you won't tell anyone what I'm going to tell you." I said and it frowned.

"What the hell is that, insan, I'm suddenly nervous, what the hell is that? Where did you go the other night? Don't you know that Alexa was worried about you because you might be sick." he said and I held my breath.

"I don't know the whole incident either but I can tell you one thing...I had a one night stand." I said softly as it furrowed its brow even more.

"What?! Are you having a one night stand?!" He screamed in shock so I immediately covered his mouth and looked around again.

"What are you doing? I just told you that others shouldn't know, but now you're going to yell at him." I said annoyed.

"Hey man, don't treat me like that, what did you say? one night stand? as in what did you do with the man? that you gave up your petchay to Juan, is that right?" he asked and I slowly nodded so he patted his forehead.

"What are you, insan? Why is that? What if Tiya found out about that? What are you going to explain? Who is the man? Do you have a number? Is he one of Alexa's guests?" he asked and I bowed and shook my head.

"Don't tell me you don't know that man?" he asked and I was speechless. "Jusme, Ahluna, I'm dead from Tiya, you know I'm the one who invited you to Alexa." it said "I'm sorry Michelle, I didn't really expect to get too drunk...just promise not to tell anyone, do you understand me?" I promised and he took a deep breath then nodded.

"You can hope but what if the man you slept with got you pregnant? Auntie will definitely lose it." it said.

"Let's just pray it's not." I said and took a deep breath as well.

A week after Alexa's birthday party, I went back to my old life, I tried to forget what happened because even if I cry, I can't turn back time.

After our dinner, I immediately approached Tiya and confronted her.

"What happened earlier?" I promised and he stopped lighting the cigarette he was holding and looked at me.

"Do you want to say something?" I asked and he laughed and lit the cigarette and immediately smoked it and blew out so I covered my nose.

"You girl, do you want to say something?" he asked and I looked away.

It laughed. "Have you met the man you slept with." he said while smoking his cigarette again so I looked at him and saw his laugh.

"Looks like it's not yet"

"How did you know?" I asked nervously.

"It's not important anymore." it said.

I took a deep breath.. "Are you going to tell Mom?" I asked and he looked at me for a long time.

"Depends on how my brain works." he said and I swallowed one after the other and I heard his loud laugh and pointed at me as if he was laughing at what was happening to me.

"Yes, I'm crazy, a drunkard, always involved in trouble, always gambling and madjong, sometimes even smoking you know...don't make a noise." he said laughing so I stared at him.

"I'm going to rest, I'm just going to get the rags I rolled out earlier because I'm going to need them tomorrow at the market." it said.

"It's me, go inside, it's too foggy outside. Let's go." I said and went to the back of the house to get Mom's rags, I stopped and then looked at the sky and I immediately saw the moon so I smiled.

The next day I was surprised to see Tiya Isang walking.

"Where are you going?" I will ask.

"Ahh me? Nothing, just over there." he said and I frowned.

"What are you doing Ahluna, don't look at me like that, you thought I was going to climb that house." he said and I just held my breath.

"Serve me, I'll eat first before going there where Aling Osang says I can make a living." he said and my forehead furrowed even more.
