Rain's POV.
"C'mon, Rain. You look good the way you are." Kylie, my best friend, says behind me as she watches me pace the length of my room.
I take a moment to pause and swallow down the tension I feel rippling through my body.
"Are you sure, Kylie? I wanna look my best tonight." I stare while looking at her with uncertainty.
Kylie's brunette hair cascading down her shoulders bounces as she lifts her tea-length flowery swing dress and walks close to me.
She grabs my hand and pulls me in front of the mirror. My heart surges as I gaze at myself, watching the brown poodle skirt and Peter Pan
shirt I'm wearing.
I look a bit odd, despite knowing tonight's school dance, everyone is expected to dress like those in the 50s.
"I'm certain, Rain. You look just as perfect with your Marilyn Monroe hair. Trust me, Killan won't resist your charm once he sees you tonight."
Her small talk gives me hope, and I huff, nodding my head.
Killan, the king of our school, Oakdale High, and his father are one of the four leaders of our town, Oakdale, as well as my father.
My father is among the leaders, and he has only my sister, Nadia, and me.
Nadia and I never get along. She's my dad's favorite, while I'm the despised daughter.
However, I got the best thing every girl in school ever wanted,d and that's Killan. We've been dating for a year since his return to town.
I love him so much that I've decided our bond as lovers will be magnified tonight once I offer him my virginity.
Being one of the rulers' sons adds to Killian's influence in the school, aside from the fact that he's the leader of the school's football team.
"Okay. Let's go..." I mutter to Kylie, and a smile clouds her face as we walk out of my room.
My chauffeur, Mr. Clint, is already downstairs waiting for me.
While Nadia drives the best of cars and has a handful of bodyguards, I don't.
My father managed to offer me this Sedan just so the town's people wouldn't know about his dedicated hatred for me.
"Why do you seem so nervous tonight, Rain? I've never seen you this way before." Kylie questions me with an intense quizzical look when we settle in the cab. I had intended to keep what I'm about to do tonight a secret, but I can't anymore. Not when Kylie is giving me that grilling look that screams, 'What do you have up your sleeve, girl?'
With a huff, I tell my friend. "I plan on having my first sèx with Killan tonight."
"Omigod, Rain!!!" Kylie splutters with a low, surprised laugh. "You've finally decided to give sex a trial? Aww, friend, I'm so proud of you."
The crying face she makes urges me to laugh. For ages now, Kylie had been advising me to try having sèx. She literally tells me endless tales about her past relationships and sex life. Kylie, being different from me, has dated about six
guys in Oakdale High, and has had a secret affair with her father's adoptive brother.
Well, they're practically still having the affair, and I always wonder what it'll feel like to have sex.
I guess there's seriously no need to waste time. I have to try it out tonight.
"Yes, Kylie. I love Killan, so I think it's high time we both feel each other's bodies."
"That's simply perfect!" Hoots Kylie. She's about to throw in more words when her phone rings, and it turns out her father's adoptive brother is the one calling.
I drown out the giggles of ecstasy Kylie makes as she blushes while answering the call and decides to text Killan.
I just wanna let him know I'm almost at the school and that I have a surprise for him.
"Hey, babe. Kylie and I are almost at the school and...I have something to show you."
I end the text with a love emoji. When I squirm on the car seat, I feel the g-string panties in my underwear graze the crack of my ass.
I saved a ton of money from the little money my father gave me as an allowance to buy this sexy black lingerie I'm wearing inside.
I honestly can't wait to see the shocked look on Killan's face when I eventually bring him into the restroom tonight and remove the old school uniform.
Though I'm not within reach of him, I can already feel my body humming with excitement at my first lovemaking with him.
It's unlike Killan not to respond to my text quickly, which makes me crease my brow in worry.
"What's up? I hope you ain't backing out from the plan?" Kylie asks me energetically as she cuts her call.
"Nope. Of course not. Look, Killan and I have dated for one year. So, it's worth trying it out now."
"Good, girl. Good sèx is life, trust me. I can't wait to crawl back into Andrew's arms tonight, my body is already feeling funny."
We both laugh at her words while, inwardly, I'm a burst of nerves.
"Seriously? Your parents haven't caught the two of you doing..."
"Fucking?" Kylie intercepts me, finishing off. "Of course, Andrew is an expert in hiding things. Sometimes he'd even sneak into my room at night, giving it to me without my parents knowing..."
"Eww, that's risky." I intone.
"Yeah, baby. The fact that it's risky makes it hotter. I kind of love the forbidden nature of our relationship. It adds spice to my attraction for him."
Kylie ends the words with a wink, and we go silent for the rest of the drive to school.
The moment the car stops, I alight from the car, exploding with anticipation.
The school grounds are already brimming with students in their old-school attire. Their loud chatter rings through the air.
I hold the hem of my poodle skirt as I wait for Kylie to join me once she alights from the car.
Then we begin sauntering toward the hallway. Some students hang around the dark corners, kissing and pressing their bodies together.
A few of Killan's football members hang around the bar, rocking girls, fondling whatever exposed flesh they can, while also smoking.
Hell, tonight is gonna be a crazy one, I think to myself. But then, I remember Killan still hasn't responded to my text.
"You wait here, Rain. I'm gonna grab us some drinks." Kylie says, prancing away.
But I know better. Liam, our school Lacrosse captain, is standing under the lamp that leads toward the locker room, staring and waiting
for Kylie.
Ugh! Kylie! I groan with a roll of my eyes as I watch her slink into the man's arms, quickly pressing her lips to his. When they're out of sight, I start weaving through the bodies of the students on the school grounds, searching for Killan.
Where the fuck is he? I bite my lower lip in frustration, almost drawing blood, when I still don't see him after twenty minutes of moving
through the school grounds.
My legs carry me to the schoolyard lit by the lamp and moonlight. Under the lights, I see two figures huddled over the stone chair.
The guy has his face between the girl's legs, and sloppy wèt sounds ricochet into the air.
"Oh, no!" I snap under my breath, veering on my heels to give the couple space, but I pause when I hear the familiar name bubbling from the girl's mouth.
"Fùck, Killan! I'm gonna...fùck...sqùirt all over your damn face."
My steps falter. My first thoughts are 'It can't be my Killan', but hearing that baritone voice that usually sheds my skin with gooseflesh, the doubt clears completely.
"Damn it, Nadia! You know just how much I love it when you do that." Killan punctuates that statement by sending a wet slap over Nadia's snatch.
Nadia!? My goddamn sister!
Staggering, the hand I clasped over my mouth was unable to smother the whimper leaving my lips.
"Oh, God!"
Tears blur my vision faster than I imagine as Killan and Nadia gasp, pulling apart from each other.
"Rain? Fùck, what are you doing here? You should be on the school grounds with the rest!" He precisely barks with no hint of remorse on his face.
That worsens the ball of pain I feel as I dagger him with a disgusted look.
"I should be at the school ground so you can continue with your treacherous act!?"
Nadia scoffs at my words, and that's when I manage to give her a hard look. The bullet bra she's wearing over a mini leather skirt isn't even covering her breasts.
"You slùt!" I bark at my sister, who happens to be our school head girl, and a fiery look crosses her eyes.
Nadia walks in fast stride towards me and hits me hard on the face like she always does.
"Bìtch!" She hisses while I cup my burning cheek, watching
her. The dampness of my palm tells me Nadia's ring cut through my skin, drawing blòòd. Killan doesn't even attempt to step in for me. He only watches with a proud smile on his face.
"You're the slùt! You became one when you thought you'd snatch Killan away from me."
"You guys have been dating?" I gasp, throwing a bewildered look at Killan. When he doesn't speak, I know it's true. So, that was the reason he wanted us to keep our relationship a secret?
I was fooled. My first-ever boyfriend fooled me.
Worse yet, Killan steps forward and slings his hand around Nadia's wasp waist.
"Yeah, Nadia's right. We've been lovers even before I returned to Oakdale. I hate to say this, but you were just a specimen. I wanted to confirm a theory regarding the rumors about you. You truly are not responsive to a man or woman's touch."
Omigod! Darkness falls into my vision at Killian's words. Was I just a mere specimen? He never loved me, but wanted to confirm the rumors about me?
"You heartless bastard!" I roar, marching toward him. Without thinking twice, I slap Killan hard on the face. "Rot in hell! Both of you."
Echoing the pain I feel, I twirl on my heels and run off.
Where I'm going, I have no idea, but only one thing rings through my mind as I race through the crowded, lousy school grounds.
I am a specimen. Maybe my father was right all these years; he told me I was worthless.
Rain's POV.
With tears in my eyes, I find myself standing before Willowcreek. The town's biggest pub.
I don't know how I ended up here because I was moving on autopilot.
As my eyes take in the neon lights gleaming before the pub, I know I need to be there and drink away my sorrows.
If I have to burn my last card here, I'll. With that, I begin to move to the pub. I present my fake ID and head inside to the bar.
The moment I take a seat, I order a very harsh drink that'll make the burn I feel in my heart go away.
How could Killan be so cruel to me? I ponder with bitterness while I gulp down the first shot the bartender served me.
My heart squeezes as my mind replays the image of Killan's head between Nadia's legs, Nadia sucking her off.
A stupid, bitter laugh vibrates from my lips, and I feel the bartender looking at me.
"Hey, are you good?"
I stare at him lazily while drinking the fifth shot he has served me.
"Haha..." I laugh humorlessly as my lazy gaze takes him in. "I wish I could say that..." Stuttering, I pause a little and belch.
I just want the pain I feel to go away. I want to switch it off if that's possible.
The bartender watches me intently as if he's willing to listen.
"Look, I don't feel okay. At all. I just feel like burning down the whole town right now. I wanna..." I belch again.
Time runs by fast, and before I know it, the DJ turns on the music, and people gather around the dancefloor, romping each other.
"Why would you want to do that?" Asks the bartender when he returns from serving someone.
"It...sucks, you know?" I grumble, my vision going blurry. The alcohol effects and my tears make it quite difficult to see.
But I struggle to watch the young man while I tell him some bullshit things I feel right now.
"When someone you love says you're just a specimen..."
"A specimen?" I hear the distinct voice of the bartender. I nod at his words. He says he understands while I order more drinks.
All I feel inside me right now is the need to prove Killan wrong. He can't be right about me.
"That must have hurt..." The guy says, but I'm already standing wobbly on my feet as I hold my glass of Bourbon.
"It did...it fucking did." I stumble, swinging my body to move to the dancefloor when my body crashes into someone's body.
"Gosh!" I slur, laughing as I watch the mess I have made. "Eww, I've soiled the shirt, hmm..." I say, laughing at nothing.
My hand moves up and trails the mess I've made on the person's shirt. He freezes when my fingers trail his soiled shirt.
The moment I touch his body in a feather-light way, I sense the swirl of something strange through me. The stranger's torso is sharp and trim.
The urge to slide my hand through his torso up to his chest fills me. My eyes are blurry when I look up at him, but from the sharp lines of his chiseled jaw, I know he must be one of those models who have a lumberjack body.
"Excuse. Please, get the lady a drink of water." The strange man says when he notices me staggering again, taking my full glass of drink from me.
"Psst! Give that back! I'm not done drinking!" I hiss in a groggy way, staggering in tow with him.
"No, I'm not giving it back to you." He hisses, but I hit my hand into him, wanting to grab my drink back.
How dare he? I think in my fogged mind. The bartender quickly does what the stranger says and brings a bottle of water for me.
I grumble while I snatch it away from the stranger and gulp.
"Next time, you know the right amount you should drink." His words sound more like a warning than advice.
Pissed at that, I veer around, only for me to stumble and fall into his arms.
The man grips me quickly, steadying me on my feet. That's when I saw his face. With a sharp facial outline, a pointy nose, and almost silver eyes, he's hands-down the most handsome man I've ever seen.
His brown hair is curled neatly behind him, and he has this otherworldly aura rippling from him as he holds me and looks into my eyes.
"You might want to be extra cautious, too, lady."
Now that he speaks so close to my face, I sense the effects his deep baritone voice is having on my body.
Eyes still a bit bleary, I stand shakily on my feet, straightening the crease on my shirt.
"Thanks, but don't order me on what to do and what not to do." I rasp, sitting back in my seat.
"You saw it as that. But I don't. Was just trying to help you." He intones.
Despite myself, I let out. "Yeah, but save it for your kids, thanks."
"Really? That's it?" He states with shock, and when I look into his face now, watching as his lips curl into an unbelievable smirk, I wish he would put those lips on me.
For the first time in my life, I find myself desiring something I've never desired before.
A man's touch.
Why do I feel it all of a sudden? I wonder, locking eyes with him.
The man stares at me with devouring eyes, like he wants to eat me out just as much as I want to eat him out, too.
The hairs on my body stand on end as I track my eyes down to his customized two-piece suit.
Hell, he looks rich and smells like one, too. What is it about this hot stranger that makes me want to do things I've never dreamed of?
To think I've never felt this way with Killan.
Killan? Gross! I speak inwardly. Right now, even thinking about Killan's name, much less his face or what he did to me, makes me feel like vomiting.
"Yes...that's it." I stutter as I feel myself spinning under his devouring eyes.
He oozes a strange kind of power. Oakdale is a small town where people usually know each other. I know a few familiar faces, given my father's status as one of the town's mayors, but I've never seen this sinfully handsome stranger before.
Maybe he's not from this town. The fact that every other thing around me--- the music, the din of conversation, fades intensifies the hunger I feel under his gaze.
"I don't appreciate it when strangers try to butt in my affairs," I add, uncapping the bottle of water and taking another sip.
"I see. Very well then. Sooth yourself." He drags his eyes around me and...his silver eyes change a little to amber, but it vanishes as quickly as it comes before he walks away.
How is it possible for someone's eyes to change like that?
Dammit! Maybe I'm seeing double, I rub my temple while sighing. I owe it to this drink.
Watching the stranger walk away with rigid shoulders makes me realize he's pissed. I guess I was rude. I should apologize, I tell myself and surgeton my feet, but the man's already out of sight.
"Where did he go?" I say under my breath, determined to find him and apologize, and 'Kiss him,' the voice in my head suggests.
I suddenly find the urge to kiss him and have him explore my body so appealing that I rush through the exit and saunter into the dimly lit alleyway.
That's when I see him hastening down the cobblestone ground of the alleyway.
"Hey! Wait..." I hoot as much as my croaky voice can allow me.
The man continues moving, his strides fast and hurried, despite hearing me. The blaring of car horns accompanies me as I half run and half walk towards him and clasp his wrist.
"Hey!" I murmur when I touch him, but he quickly presses me into the wall.
"What do you think you're doing? You shouldn't be here!" He roars into my face, and the whoosh of his harsh breath on my face turns me on so bad.
I feel my nipples turning into pebbles, my cunt moistening.
I swallow as he sandwiches me between his body and the building's cold wall that's pressing into my back.
"What if I choose to be here?" I say, instead of muttering my apology.
The moistness I feel between my legs increases, and I find him sniffing the air as his beautiful silver eyes bore into my green ones.
"You'll end up regretting it! You're drunk!" He roars so lowly into my face, his mouth a fraction of an inch away from mine.
"Uh-uh. You got it wrong. I'm not drunk, and I chose to be here..." I mutter, but he doesn't let me finish as he spits out.
"Why?"
There's this sexy grit to his jaw like he's trying to keep himself at bay. But the luscious way he's looking at my lips tells me he feels what I feel, too.
With my nipples hard and my mouth watering for a taste of him, I brush my upper body into his chest. A hiss spills from his mouth.
"Because I want to do this..." I whisper into the hot air between us, standing on my tiptoes, I press my lips against his luscious ones, kissing him.
"Fuck, you asked for this, lady!" He lets out when he breaks away a bit, ogling into my eyes.
The man growls low in his throat, and before I know it, his big palms cup the sides of my face as he presses his mouth against mine again.
Oh, my God. Am I kissing a stranger in an alleyway? The thoughts flash through my mind rapidly, and before I know it, he whirls me around and presses my chest against the wall, hitching my poodle skirt up my waist and slamming into me.
Rain's POV.
"Hmmm..." I whimper as I toss around the bed. A blissful sigh leaves my lips.
I feel so good in the right places, like my nipples and my cùnt.
What the hell happened? I've never felt like this before.
Scratching my closed eyes, I slowly open them to take in my surroundings.
"What the hell!?" I yelp, propping up on the bed. How did I end up here? I ask myself, darting my eyes around the room.
My blinds are closed, but because it's transparent, the sunbeam shines in my small bedroom.
What the heck? How come I ended up in my bedroom?
I rack my brain rapidly, and I remember what occurred at school with Killan and Nadia.
I went to the bar, and I had lots of shots. I remember being with the stranger in the alley.
Aside from these, I don't remember much again.
So? Who brought me home?
"Grrr!" I groan when I feel the banging headache. Fuck, I'm having a hangover.
As I'm about to recline back on the bed, my personal servant calls out. Nadia and I have different people serving us.
Being the preferred daughter, she has hordes of me serving her, but I only have one.
I still don't understand why my father hates me so much that he prefers Nadia.
"Rain! You're already late for school!"
Oh, crap! I have three morning classes. How the hell am I going to cope with this shitty hangover?
I leave the bed with a hiss, heading to the bathroom, but Mrs.Sinai pops her head into my room.
"You sure want to go to school today?" She asks, looking at me through her big eyeglasses.
"Yes, Mrs. Sinai. I just overslept!" I smile to cover up my lies. I don't want anyone finding out I went to the bar, much less having a stranger between my legs. My father will kill me if he finds out. I venture swiftly into the bathroom.
Once I shut the door, I sigh. Mrs. Sinai didn't act like she knew what happened last night because she and her husband are the only ones who stay here with me on the south wing of this huge manor house.
Does that mean she doesn't know?
Fuck, I have to find out! I conclude with my brows furrowed.
I quickly brush up and take my bath.
Twenty minutes later, I'm down in the dining room. Mrs. Sinai's husband, Durand, is already devouring his food while sitting in the head seat.
"Hey!" I greet, lowering my school bag to the seat across from his.
"How are you, Rain?" He asks, watching me as I join his wife in the kitchen, whipping myself a cup of coffee.
I need this coffee to help stop this bad hangover.
"I'm pretty good, Mr. Durand.." I say, perched on the sink as I look at them.
"You ain't gonna eat the sandwiches?" Mrs. Sinai asks, and I shake my head.
"I need something light," I tell her, joining her husband back in the dining.
"How was the school dance? Did you enjoy it? Killan came over last night with Nadia, looking for you."
What? How dare they come to my quarters after what they did to me?
"Uh...it was...good." I let out slowly. Then. "Why did they come?" I cock my brow at her.
"They didn't say anything to me. I guess your father wanted to see you.
I swallow the bile rising in my throat at the thought of what they told my father for him to request my presence. Dread crawls through me as I squeeze my cup of coffee hard.
"That reminds me, where were you last night? We didn't even know when you came in."
Oh, my God. I wobble inwardly at so, they don't even know when and how I came in?
If they were here when Killan and Nadia came looking for me, that means they were already back from the vineyards.
So, how in hell did I end up in my room? Strange gooseflesh fills my body. However, I give them both a cheeky smile.
"I was with Kylie last night. I only came back later in the night."
They both nod, and silence clouds us until a knock sounds on the front door.
"I'll get that. I'm sure it must be Kylie."
I rush to my feet quickly and hurry over to the front door.
However, I guessed wrong because standing in front of the door was none other than Nadia.
She walks in with a smug look on her face. Behind her are her guards in dark suits.
She ignores my servant's greetings and daggers me with glares.
"Where were you last night?" She cock a harsh brow at me, commanding me to speak.
"Do I owe you an answer to that?" I crease my brows too, wanting to show her I'm not afraid.
She's nothing but a slut, stealing people's boyfriends. I just have this strong urge to rip her throat out.
"Don't forget, you're below me, Rain. And I'll always put you in your place."
"That's the least you can do, isn't it?" I bark, breathing heavily.
She snorts, squaring her shoulders over her crossed hands.
"I can do more, Rain. Just watch me ruin your life completely! Killan was so much fun, you know. And guess what? Our father has reached an agreement with his parents to betroth us to each other."
My heart sings with pain at what she just revealed. Now I know what my father was looking for in me.
He only wanted to inform me about Nadia's betrothal to Killan.
Tears burn at the back of my eyes, but I rein them in. I can't cry over this. No.
"Very well then. Congratulations. Now, get out of my way." I bark in anger.
Trying to shoulder past her, Nadia grabs my arm, pulling me back.
"Don't walk out on me, you bitch!"
"Let go of me!" I cry out, trying to push her away, which is impossible given that she's stronger than me.
The guards do nothing, only throwing their faces away, but luckily for me, Kylie comes out, pushing Nadia away from me.
"Stop it!" She barks at Nadia, daring her to move forward.
Of course, Nadia knows her strength doesn't match Kylie's. My best friend is well-trained in combat.
Nadia snorts under her breath and walks away.
Turning to me, Kylie shoots forward. "Are you okay?"
She asks, holding me. Her face creases with worry, but I nod even though I don't feel okay.
Kylie and I squeeze into her SUV and drive off while she begins ranting about the escapade last night, when she notices I don't want to talk about what went on between Nadia and me.
I bet Kylie's used to seeing us fight; she always doesn't bother asking questions again. She knows just how much Nadia hates my guts.
Regardless of what she's saying, my mind drifts away.
All I think about is my boisterous sex with a stranger in an alleyway and how I ended up in my room without remembering how I did so.
My heart thuds, and I feel my core still tingling.
His touch and kisses felt so right. Right now, I feel like seeing the man all over again.
"Earth to, Rain!" Kylie's loud voice snaps me away from my reverie, and I swallow, turning to look at her.
"I'm sorry. What were you saying?" I ask Kylie, trying to keep my face void of the bliss I feel.
"I was telling you a story about the party. Wait, what were you thinking?"
"Nothing!" I rasp, facing front again.
"Are you keeping secrets now? Tell me how your first sèx with Killan was? Tell me you loved it." Kylie chirps, excitement rippling through her.
I take a moment to breathe before responding. "Killan and I didn't do it, Kylie."
My friend's brows crease as she looks at me. "What do you mean? You said yourself you're going to do it."
"Killan is a cheat, Kylie! I saw him with my sister making out. Turns out they've fucking behind my back." I snap, interrupting her.
Kylie hits the brake quickly, making my heart jump out of my chest.
"What the heck, girl?" I snap, swallowing. When I manage to throw a glimpse outside, I see someone who looks a bit similar to a stranger walking into a café.
"Omigod!" I rasp under my breath and unfasten my belt. With a start, I open the door and cross the road without thinking twice.
"Rain! Where are you going?" Kylie calls out, coming after me. However, as I venture into the café, I end up not seeing the man except for the woman sitting by the corner, alone.
Was I seeing double? I am in deep thought until I feel my friend tugging my hand.
"What is going on, Rain?" She rasps, running short of breath.
"Nothing. I was just..." I trail off.
How do I tell my friend that I'm looking for the man I had my first sèx with? I'd recognize him anywhere.
Kylie and I get back into the car, and I tell her the story about how I caught Killan and Nadia at the schoolyard.
Kylie expresses her shock while we park the car in the school garage.
Both of us had the same class this morning, so we walked to the classroom together.
Upon walking into the class, I see Nadia and her minion sitting in the front row with a dirty smirk on her face when she looks at me.
My heart sings with anger. The urge to wipe off that smirk from her face fills me, but Kylie guides me to the back seat, and we settle there.
"Rain..." Kylie starts to speak amid the chatter going on in the class.
However, a deep baritone voice cuts through the noise in the class, startling everyone.
"Good morning, class!"
We all turn in the direction of the voice, and my heart sinks into the pit of my stomach before the butterflies there begin to flutter their wings.
Standing before the whole class with gleaming silver eyes, brunette hair, and brawny shoulders is the man from last night.
The very one between my legs, devouring me.
Stunned into silence, I pin my eyes on his. As if by some magical force, his eyes find mine and lock.
A knowing glint crosses his eyes as he says in a baritone voice to the class.
"I'm Professor Logan Pierce. Your new history teacher!"
"Omigod!" the words echo in my ears, but it takes me a while to realize I'm the one that saying it.
The stranger from last night is my professor?
Hell, I'm doomed!
