1. Cassidy
I'm sure those papers were here. It was my responsibility to make sure everything was ready. Alpha and his son are about to arrive at Alpha's office for their routine at almost six in the morning. It wasn't enough that I was their secretary, a high school teenager, an orphan rogue, and a wolfless werewolf. The only thing that can get me out of trouble is to lose the only thing that can save me.
It's bad enough that there's a blizzard outside. What if the Alpha throws me out in this blizzard to punish me? Those papers must be found! A small slide on the desk was opened, and I looked through it when the fall was pushed back up, crushing my hands. "Aaaa!" My voice rang out when I heard Benjamin laugh. "You are so stupid!" I yelled. As I looked around the desk like a stinking rat, what was the rogue looking for?" Finally, I was able to free my hands from the desk. Benjamin grabbed my right hand and pulled it. There was a snap of a bone. He also heard it.
As he placed his hand on my mouth, he said, "Calm down, you big crybaby. You disgrace the Fierce Claw Pack.". My knees buckled as he said these words, and I fell backward while pulling the chair with me. More laughter erupted from Benjamin. I knew he couldn't get me to the hospital, and I had to hold back the pain in my hands. It was not allowed for the pack to assist me in any way. I would be thrown into the cellar for a week if I dared, and if that was more than the Alpha considered enough, I could be left there.
Benjamin threw The papers at me while I lay on the floor, trying to be strong enough to get up. While laughing, Benjamin says, "I'm returning the papers you left here; I knew there would be a blizzard, and I don't want to have a rogue in my house looking for my stuff.". You're right; it's just perfect. I take the papers as he walks away, saying, "Maybe while you are out there, you can figure out where you belong.". Seeing that they have been written over with 'fuck the Alpha', I am visibly shaken.
Despite being the devil himself, Alpha Bradley isn't a fool. He will kill anyone who defines him. His judgment is based on who is worth it. His wrong calculations manipulate every aspect of my life to the point where I feel like a waste of energy. As a result of these papers, I should mentally prepare myself for when he throws me out. His computer is off-limits to me, and I cannot leave without Alpha's or Luna's permission.
It is already apparent to me that Luna Barbara's bare hands are stripping me. This isn't good enough. She made me wear her old clothes, which labeled me a thief. The clothes I wear belong to Luna. Everyone who sees me knows where they came from. As a seventeen-year-old girl, my body was fully developed, with some extra fat on my thighs. It would be nice if her clothes were a bit looser. Despite all the evil, she might do to me, I'm not dying of the cold. When the doors open, the devil herself speaks.
"What did she do?" Her voice was shrill as she shouted, "I tried to stop her, but she couldn't stop looking through your desk." It's bad enough that she stole your clothes. You are now responsible for it, Luna. Her goal is to get to Mom. Let's throw her outside into the blizzard. Benjamin replied, sounding mighty like his Alpha father, "Maybe a cold shower is what the dumb fat omega deserves to stay where she belongs."
It's not surprising that Benjamin looks like his dad-tall with muscles and a curly black hairstyle resembling a kid from the hood. In addition to brown eyes and no lips, he has piercings on both ears and stupid bracelets on both hands. He always wears a tight shirt and skinny jeans, driving his parents crazy with his foolish behavior. My hatred for him is endless.
I can hear the footsteps stopping right next to me. I'm still crying from my hands' pain. As I feel something hard blow at me, I think my writing is broken, knocking me back to the floor. "You disgusting." She hits me again on the shoulder. "Worthless!" As I move slowly into a fetal position, she hits me on my elbow and says, "Repulsive." Adding insult to injury, she slaps my hips and says, "Ungrateful!" I hear the doors open and feel another hit on my knee. "Luna, what is the meaning of this?" I listened to the Alpha ask.
Now everything hurts. I feel sore all over my body. My tan skin will conceal the bruises, but the pain will be unbearable. "This bitch stole from my desk!" she yelled at the Alpha. While I was lying on the ground, I heard him growl, making me stay stiff.
The sound of footsteps was heard going my way. "Is this true, Cassidy?" "Is this true, Cassidy?" was the Alpha's question, and I shook my head. Ok, if he knew I only placed the documents he needed in Luna's desk for his reunion tomorrow morning at eight a.m.
Benjamin said worriedly, "Dad, you might want to see what she wrote on the papers you needed this morning." I swallowed the big gulp of saliva stuck in my throat and swore this was the worst they could do this morning.
Suddenly, I heard the Alpha growl more loudly, "You've done your last prank of the day, Cassidy," and felt the Alpha's fingers go into the backs of my long hair. His hand firmly held my small brown curls. "Dad, throw her out!" "Let her learn her lesson in the blizzard!" He suggested, "That's exactly where you'll be, Cassidy, and you'll stay there all day." You're in trouble if you ignore my orders. "Is that clear?" In pain, I cried, "Answer me!" His spit landed on my face as he shouted in my face. The answer was "yes." Immediately, he flung me out the window onto the second roof.
During the blizzard's cold winds, I felt exposed, and in the worst pain I've ever felt. Despite the snow, the floor wasn't completely covered. The dirt side was where I landed after falling. Compared to what the Luna used to do, this was the worst pain I've ever experienced. My body did not respond to my commands, so getting up would be difficult. After a while, I lost my strength and closed my eyes again.
Despite being unaware of the time, my body was in complete pain as I woke up. When I tried to rise, I felt unbearable pain in my hand. "Aaa," I muttered to myself, forgetting the broken hand. Moving didn't make sense, but the wall storage room for my bedroom would be turned into the cellars if I didn't go to the town center.
Now that I was sitting on my side, I was covered in snow and barefoot and couldn't feel my feet. It was a skirt that I was wearing. By the time I arrived at the pack house, the other omegas had shattered all of my clothes. I own only two clean clothes because Luna Barbara did that last week. As I had to move my body again, it became more difficult. Both standing and crawling were out of the question. In what way would I get to the center of town?
As far as I know, I am not a werewolf, and I am supposed to have my wolf this year. The reason why I did not have my wolf is a mystery to me. Despite coming from a family of rogues, I never heard or read about a woman with no wolf because she was born a rogue. The window above must have still been open, as Luna shouted in her nasal voice, "Get going rogue!" Walking down the small cliff to the town center seemed the best option.
In tears, I look up at the dark gray sky and say to the moon goddess, "I don't know what I did to you, but please save me from this pack.". For being a rogue, I apologized." As I pleaded with the sky, hoping Selene would hear me, I said, "Don't let them harm me.". I couldn't stop crying; it was hard for me to live. Whatever I did, I was sorry.
2. Carter
Walking back to the Silver Half Moon Pack House, I think about that sandwich I want so badly. I'm done with my homework, and the training went well. Even if I am an omega, if I keep training, I can be a local guard in town to help keep the peace between the rest of the omegas. As a result of helping someone, I have always felt good about myself at the end of the day. I sweat through all my clothes because of training. The orphanage won't be angry with me if I don't get caught. So long as the Alpha's daughter doesn't get mad at me, I'm safe.
The only time Vanessa has been a pain has been when I was around. Despite her bitching at me, she never told me what I did to make her act that way. It would not be possible for me to behave in the same manner toward others as she does toward me. Whatever I do to her mustn't be as bad as what she gives me. Opening the pack house door, I see everyone doing their usual "Hey, Carter!". "Is the training done?" the head Omega asks. "The training just ended." There are a lot of tasks to complete. Could you please let me know if the kitchen is open?" "Just link them and leave things as you usually do," she said with a smile. I had to bite my cheeks not to laugh when Vanessa got all bitchy and told me, The girl has an attitude neither a rogue nor a rogue would want to have bread with.
Upon reaching the kitchen, I discovered no more ham in the refrigerators, so I would need to ask the head kitchen for something else. Upon closing the door, I am hit by intense water pressure. While stumbling, I raise my hands to prevent myself from drowning. I notice Vanessa supplies the water when I look at where it comes from. Why do I not find this surprising? "Vanessa, please stop!" I begged, attempting not to get wet. She growls at me and throws a pan that hits my chest, causing me to bend over. "Who in the hell do you think you are talking to?" "I'm your Luna-to-be, so shut up, you omega!" Her voice rang out. Omegas are the lowest members of the pack, and we can be quickly tired, injured, and have a more inadequate immune system than a Warrior, Delta, Gamma, or Beta. Because of what she is referring to, being called Omega shouldn't feel like an insult, but it hurt me, and the pain in my chest felt like that frying pan had broken something. There was no end to the pain.
Vanessa and I were alone in the kitchen when I tried to get help. Hugging myself, I said, "Vanessa, it hurts.". "Please link to someone." I tried, but the pain kept me from concentrating. Vanessa walked up to me in heels, and before I could move, she kicked me in the shoulder. She stomped in the same spot where the frying pan struck my chest as I fell backward. The air I was breathing started to choke me. Despite the pain, I was forced to close my eyes when I saw black dots. When I opened my eyes, I was still lying on the kitchen floor, in a lot of pain in my chest.
My chest pain made me feel short of breath as I struggled to get up. My room was behind the kitchen, so I crawled to the laundry room. Many pack members know I am a half-breed; my mom was a human, and my dad was an omega. Their fated mateship ended when Mom died in childbirth. After losing my mom, my dad lost the will to live. The Alpha has told me that this is the case. Even though Alpha is the leader of my group, Luna can take over if Alpha is absent.
Climbing into the small space between the laundry machines, I crawl to the back. Behind them, the packing house's electrical room can be found. My room is this one. My mattress is beaten up, my clothes are on the other side, and my school books are on the other side. The packing house chores alone prevent me from getting a job, so how can I afford more things?
I had not seen how late it was outside, but it was clear that the outside was nothing to be concerned about. As I lay on my mattress, I hear the omegas doing their laundry and talking to one another.
"Did you hear about what happened in that nearby pack?" asked an omega. Another replied, "You mean the omega who has been referred to as a Luna stalker? That's right; I think her name is Cassidy. It was discovered that she had stolen from Luna's desk. She tried to take over for Luna, according to the Alpha. "Is that true?" Cassidy, I like that name. "Is it true?" she asks. There's something strange about this. Isn't that the same Omega who is wearing Luna's hand-me-downs? Is that the orphan whom the Alpha adopted? She is her assistant or secretary." Almost laughing, the omega replied, "Anyhow, I hear she doesn't have a wolf." Given her age, I think she does not have one yet. What would make her want to be the Luna to her old Alpha? In disgust, all three rested in silence.
From what I heard, Cassidy doesn't sound like the wrong person. Omegas are commonly used for others to the point where they don't matter, as if who they are doesn't matter. As far as I know, omega-3s are very prevalent. Nevertheless, we have feelings just like everyone else. "We've got to find Carter; the head omega hasn't heard from him." I heard the omegas run around. "You think something bad happened to our cute omega boy?" asked a young omega. It felt like my cheeks were getting warm. Cute? Me? My head shifts toward where they are talking so I can get a better perspective.
"Ugh, that boy has me tangled up in his little fingers.". I love how helpful and gentlemanly he is. Other guys could take notes. No matter what the deadline is, Carter is always there for us. If I am not chosen as his mate, I will choose him as my mate. Can you imagine having puppies with blue eyes? What about his thin, straight white hair? Omega from before said, "May the goddess bless my wolf when the time comes.".
Despite their hurried pace, they continued to talk about me. It made me feel bad that I had made everyone worry; I had no idea how much they cared for me. In my mind, I knew what I could do. But I didn't want the Omega to freak out and say, "Holly, I'm sorry I didn't tell you.". It wasn't long after eating that I fell asleep. It was entirely my fault. Can I handle the kitchen duty tomorrow morning on your behalf? It was a mind link.
Holly replied, "Oh, thank the goddess, you are fine.". Carter, what happened? You were away from the rest of the group at the back barbecue. Was there an incident? It must have been Vanessa,' She growled at the last question. I knew Holly well. She would speak with the Alpha, who would agree to punish Vanessa but then call me to have Vanessa punish me again. The day Luna took me into the pack, he hated me.
I replied, 'No, I'm alright; trust me, I'm fine. I lied to my friend, making her feel bitter as always. There is nothing I hate more than lying to Holly. It hurts me to keep these secrets from her. Is your stomach full? I can bring you some food. I asked, "Where are you?" When she replied, "I'll go to you," it felt like Karma was laughing at me because I had lied. 'Where are you again?" My eyes widened as I quickly tried to get up from the mattress, my only sanctuary from the outside hell where the bitch Vanessa ruled. As I held my chest, I looked around the room for my bathing suit. The packed house has a pool on the back, so I took an undershirt for now.
Arriving there, I was met with an apprehensive Holly; she placed a plate on the table behind her and took off to me, She hugged me, and the pain in my chest burned; you scared the living hell out of me," I returned her hug, "im sorry Holly, that wasn't my intention," She let go of me quickly, then dragged me to the plate. Eat as much as you want; you don't have to tell me the truth, but I don't like you hiding things from me. I heard Holly scold me, eating it all like a staffed man. I hear screaming coming from the other end of the backyard.
3. Cassidy
Taking one step toward the edge was the last thing I remembered. My entire body felt heavy; my body felt like it had sandbags on it; my hand felt like it was being cut over and over by a knife; my eyes were heavy, but my body wasn't ready to get up; I remained there in the dark of my mind, but when I opened my eyes, I found Jessy frightened. In addition to our shared classes, Jessy plays football with the high school football team. He is friendly and not bad-looking, but he has two buck teeth that easily distract me. He wears jeans, winter clothes, boots, and a gray sweater, and is lean and fit.
My throat felt dry, but I opened my lips without thinking, feeling them split, and I tried to say "we," but I was hushed by Jessy, who bent to my level and gave me water with a straw. After I gulped down the last drop of water, he put the cup back behind him, realizing I was on a mattress and freaking out when my vision became clear enough to see I was in the hospital. "Jessy, why am I here?" I shouted, regretting it immediately; my throat felt scratched, and the machines started to make random loud noises. Jessy tried to calm me by holding my shoulder when a nurse ran in; all while Jessy had me, the nurse pushed him away from my side, hitting buttons on the machine her nervous voice Cassidy, you need to calm down; your heart rate is too high; if you don't calm down, I'm going to have to induce you into a coma, so please start to count from a hundred to one; take deep breaths; you are going to be alright," she tells me.
Please, no, no, no. If the Alpha finds out I disobeyed his order, I will be thrown in the cellars. No, I need to go to the town center and stay there until the Alpha says I'm forgiven. As I get up from the bed, the monitor starts to beep uncontrollably again. While the nurse tries to put me back in bed, the door to my room opens with a harsh thud. On the door was the Alpha. His aura is at full power. Everyone submits to his display of authority. As usual, I don't feel anything, but out of fear, I act as if he is affecting me: "Everyone but Cassidy, leave this room NOW!" Jessy was annoyed but did as commanded; the nurse also left, closing the door behind her.
"Lay back in your bed, Cassidy. I can allow this. Just calm down," he said, still in authority. Why wasn't he enraged just now? Getting back into my bed slowly, Alpha Bradly sat beside me, crossing his arms; he rested his head against the wall. "Luna Barbara can't act on anger in this; I'm asking you to behave, and I will make sure my Luna and son do as well; you had lost consciousness from what happened; the entire pack knows about this; and I won't have my pack create a revolution over your sudden loss of self-control," he said in annoyance. It didn't make sense for him to get angry at me for getting hurt; the future Alpha played me; why do I need to suffer for his son? I wanted to growl. Despite my desire to growl and throw something at him, I couldn't. I was no match for the Alpha of my pack, and it wasn't fair to be insulted for something I couldn't control.
My hands were wrapped up in a cast; I now knew my secret was out; they knew I had no wolf; feeling myself about to cry, a substantial hand took my chin and moved my face to meet the Alpha's eyes, "you are wolf-less she-wolf, and lucky for you I lied to the doctor about why your none existing wolf wasn't healing you," he pushes me back in the bed, landing on the bed, I felt my broken hand burn, feeling the pain I was about to shout when he places his hand over my mouth again, "I didn't do that on purpose," he whispered, "if my mate catches I have been going soft on you, we will get in a lot more trouble, Cassidy, is that what you want?" He asked, a bit desperate, Why was he behaving like I would run? What makes Luna Barbara care about how he treats me? Does she loathe me that much?
For god's sake, I was in the hospital with a broken hand and a terrible headache; what else could happen? I asked myself that question when Jessy opened the door with Benjamin behind him. As the Alpha threw my face back, my headache worsened as the pillow hit my head. Suddenly, the alpha growled, "So it's true, your wolf less; what a freaking waste, Dad exiled her." Warrior, go outside and lock the damn door." As my eyes closed, the Alpha said, "As long as you don't mention this, she has a wolf." Her wolf is simply taking some time to raise, but if you say a word, that would be the end of it. I have no problem trying to get a new Alpha from your mother. Think twice before you use your big mouth to attack me." From where my feet rested, I heard footsteps.
His low growl escapes him: "You think mom will agree?" A wolfless orphan who can't do anything right but waste oxygen? You've got to be kidding me!" I almost lost consciousness after hearing a wolf howl; the Alpha got up and said, "Wolves, I knew they were near, but never this close," he said, walking to the other side. "Benjamin, if you challenge me, remember my words. You will take her as your chosen mate." I was left alone with Benjamin, and when I opened my eyes, I saw him shooting daggers at me. "I hope I can get my hands on you like this, just like ants can die for biting into my fucking food, and for all, I care about them when I kill them with just my finger," He grasps my throat with his strength and chokes me, "I fucking swear, either you die now or you'll die sooner because," I saw black dots in my vision and then fell asleep.
After I opened my eyes again, I found myself not in the hospital but one of the guest rooms in the pack house. I wasn't sure why I was there, but I could not move my neck; a plastic thing surrounded my neck with foam; Groaning, I moved to the side. The first thing I noticed when I opened my eyes was that I wasn't in the hospital but in one of the guest rooms in the packing house. At least, that's what I think. Although I couldn't move, I knew at least where I was. When I moved my good hand in a room, not the cellars, it felt heavy, and when I lifted it, my entire hand was covered with IVs.
Sigh, I still move to at least sit-down, and when I do, I see the bathroom door open. Looking around, I see a big sliding mirror. I walk to the mirror door, where I can fully see what happened to me. Seeing in the mirror that I had a cast on my entire hand, it was elevated in a scarf that held my hand up and a Cervical neck traction. Whatever happened to my neck sure did a number on me. At least I could move. I lowered my hand to raise my hospital gown, and when I did, I saw all the bruises Luna had given me. They looked in different tones. The condition of my body has now deteriorated. With my plus-size body, I never saw myself as beautiful, and anyone who looked at me could see how badly I was treated. I was constantly insulted for the simplest of reasons, even if I was treated well.
Those mean names keep repeatedly playing: Cassidy the Oprah, fatty, idiot, useless-why can't I just get up and go? My thoughts were lost when I saw that the sun had gone down since I had woken up. During my stay in the hospital, I wondered how long I had been there.
