"Argh!" Jeremy screamed, echoing everywhere. "You idiot, what are you doing?"
"Sir, I'm sorry, I didn't do it on purpose."
"You stupid!" He pointed at the girl in front of him and asked angrily, "Who are you?"
"Me, sir?" asked the girl herself.
"Yes, you!" snapped Jeremy, a mature 32-year-old man. Handsome and cold. His gaze was sharp, as if it could draw a weapon.
"I--"
Before she could finish her sentence, someone opened the door. "Excuse me-" Shaun, the manager of the Golden Star, was stunned. He is not an angel or a man with a sixth sense who can immediately tell when his boss has an incident. Instead, he was shocked by Nesta's presence as he and Jeremy were discussing employee performance reports. --with his stupid face and Jeremy, the angry boss. She has a hunch that something terrible must have happened here.
"It's good you're here." Jeremy felt he could take his anger out on Shaun as well. "That idiot employee spilled hot coffee on my trousers!"
"I swear I didn't do it on purpose." The perpetrator's attempt at an explanation.
Shaun slapped his forehead. "Forgive her. She's a new employee here."
Jeremy, a CEO known to be handsome and cold. He came from a distinguished family, intelligent, young, and creative. God gave him many good things, so he became arrogant. Perfectionist, that's what he is. Don't try to make mistakes in front of him. "Fire her right now!"
"I'm sorry, sir." The offender tried to explain.
"Oh, my..." Shaun slapped his forehead. "Forgive her, sir. She's a new errand girl.
Jeremy snorted. "Fire her right now!"
Shaun looked at Nesta - the errand girl who had just spilled the coffee.
Nesta panicked. Yeah, just one day's work already fired?
Not to mention Mickey, who had been shoving various gifts down Nesta's throat. Her mother asked for a new nightgown and a cell phone, and her father secretly asked for leather shoes.
Hah! If she were to be fired, the hopes of the four commoners would vanish.
This cannot be allowed.
"Sir, I'm sorry." Nesta took a handkerchief and tried to clean the stains on Jeremy's pants.
"Where are your hands going?"
"Are you going to clean your pants?"
Good grief! Shaun shook his head.
Jeremy took a step back. "Don't try it, okay? You're not my wife. How dare you touch her!"
"Wife?" Nesta frowned in confusion. Is this what they call the fate of enslaved people? It always has to be corrected here and there.
"Get out of my room!"
"Huh?" Nesta's mouth fell open. She felt so stupid in this situation.
Shaun took control of the situation. "You go first, okay?"
"But, sir.
"All right, just get out first. I'll take care of this."
Nesta complied. She apologized to the bosses.
"Shit! Where did that girl come from?" asked Jeremy after Nesta closed the door.
"She's not, and we hired yesterday's employees, sir," Shaun explained.
"Then you take it lightly?"
"What?" Shaun refuses to accept Jeremy's accusations. Everything is called origin. He works overtime to choose the right employee. "You said yourself to choose the employee with the best test results. And this is the best, sir."
"The best ever!" Jeremy snapped. "You don't see. She spilled hot coffee all over this." Jeremy pointed to his pants. "Like trying on my future!"
Shaun just sighed.
After his emotions had calmed down a bit, Jeremy sat down in his office chair.
"Anyway, I don't want to know. A fire that employee today!"
Shaun took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "We've fired a lot of employees, sir. If we fire him this time, it'll be Mr. Devil. She's still a new employee."
Jeremy was flustered. "You're the one I fired!"
Shaun gets a headache. "But, sir, besides that, he signed a contract with us yesterday. He has worked with us for at least a year. If he quits in the middle, we will fine him three months' salary. On the other hand, if we fire him for less than a year without cause, we will impose a fine of one hundred million.
Jeremy flinched. "Crazy! A hundred million? What idiot made that rule?"
"You made it yourself."
Damn it! Jeremy felt so stupid for such a rule. He was annoyed because he couldn't stop himself from firing annoying employees.
"So how?" Shaun asked, curious about Jeremy's decision.
The 32-year-old leaned back in his chair.
"How can you pick the wrong employee, Shaun? Normally you never hire the wrong employee."
Shaun was silent.
"Just think, it's only been one working day like this. You can't really choose it."
This time Shaun replied, "Well, weren't you the one who asked me to choose the employees according to your wishes?"
"My wishes, huh?" retorted Jeremy.
"You said to choose employees who are strong, hardworking, able to work, not weak, who are resilient when you are angry, who are not easily offended."
Jeremy rubbed his head as he listened to Shaun's explanation.
"When I took the test, Nesta answered closest to your criteria. Because she said she was used to situations like this." Shaun tapped on Jeremy's desk to get his attention. "She lives with his fussy stepmother."
"So you're saying I'm as picky as her stepmother?"
Shaun pursed his lips. Think for yourself!
Jeremy tried to remember. "Did I ask that?"
"I can show you the tape." Shaun picked up his cell phone. Shaun is always there because Jeremy is unstable. He has a good strategy for dealing with business projects. But his emotions are zero.
Often blamed, Shaun ends up strategizing. Whenever Jeremy gave him an order, he recorded it on his cell phone. As a backup, in case the boss "relapsed".
Jeremy hastily prevented. "No need. The important thing is from today on. I don't want to see her again."
"But we can't just fire her, sir. Employees have human rights too."
"Suit yourself. Anyway, I don't want to see that girl again."
"Okay, sir, we can make arrangements so you won't see Nesta again."
"I don't trust you anymore. I made my own rules. I'll send them to your email later."
Shaun waited in case.
"Why are you still so quiet? Get back to work, Shaun!"
Sigh, Shaun, an excuse. Watch out if Jeremy wants to 'talk' again! Maybe he'll be the one to quit.
"Mission, sir!" Shaun is emotional.
"Hmmm!" Jeremy, who cares.

Nesta went to the pantry to clean up the remains of her work. His hands trembled slightly. What if she got fired?
Lusi suddenly grabbed Nesta's hand.
Nesta complained of pain.
"What were you doing in Mr. Jeremy's room?"
"Working," she replied casually. Besides, Lusi's question was too odd. Nesta in Jeremy's room? Yes, bring coffee.
"Don't play games with me, okay?" Lusi is grim, not playing with Nesta.
"You already know I'm still working, still asked what."
"You've never been taught any manners, have you? Talking to your superiors is not polite."
"It's not that, Miss. You are the strange one who comes and plays with physical violence. Then I'm also confused why you're curious about what I did earlier."
Lusi giggled. "What was the fuss about?"
"I spilled coffee on Mr. Jeremy's pants earlier."
Lucy frowned. "How come?"
"Well, when I ran out of time, I tried to ask Mr. Jeremy where he was going to put the coffee. He just kept quiet."
"Go on?"
"Because he was silent when I called him, I tapped him on the shoulder. He was even surprised. He spilled all the coffee."
"You have the nerve to touch Jeremy!"
"Forced. It's just a little touch. Here...." Nesta showed her shoulder. "That's just using nails, slowly."
"Ouch!" Lucy got annoyed. "You talk a lot, huh."
"Later, when I keep quiet, you get confused."
"Oh my God..." Lucy got annoyed. "Watch out!" She moved Nesta's body.
Nesta moved and resumed his work. Lucy returned to the room.
"Funny," she asked. She was the one who got angry. Nesta nagged at the dirty glass.
Nesta must be patient. That is the name of the person who works. It's important to remember that having no money is more horrible than being scolded by the boss!
***
Back in the room, Shaun is sitting in a chair. Catching his breath, he calls Nesta and asks the girl to come in. Nesta arrived shortly after.
"Come in!" Shaun said as someone knocked on the door. He guessed it was Nesta.
Nesta entered. "Excuse me, sir." She sits across from Shaun and mentally guesses that she will be fired for sure.
Shaun looks at Nesta. "You know you went too far this morning," Shaun said.
Nesta just looked down. "I'm sorry, sir."
Shaun chuckled, then copied a file from his phone to the computer. Nesta glanced as something came out of the printer.
Shaun read it briefly. Then he folded the paper neatly. "It's for you." He handed over the printout.
Is she being released?
"Read it carefully and make sure there are no mistakes."
"Okay, sir."
"You can go back to work."
Nesta comes out of Shaun's room. She read the paper before starting work. She gasps. No letter of dismissal. But this is MORE DANGEROUS.
Crazy Jeremy!
"Stupid!" Nesta was busy mopping the upstairs when suddenly someone swore at her. When Nesta looked to see who it was, it was Jeremy.
How annoying! She knew it was her fault for hitting Jeremy's shoe with the mop. But did he have to say 'stupid' at all?
Indeed, as a human being, if you make a mistake like this, you're immediately labeled a moron, right?
If so, this is inhumane. Nesta should have reported Jeremy's treatment to labor protection. Remember, bullying today is not just a physical problem. Using words is also included.
Jeremy wasn't done being angry. He
"I'm sorry, Sir." Good employee, give in to the boss.
Instead of an apology, Nesta got a scolding.
"I told you never to come near me!"
"Who approached you?" Nesta swear if Jeremy wasn't her boss, she would have been furious.
On second thought, it wasn't her fault. After all, it was her job to mop the floor at this hour. Her eyes were automatically focused on the floor and the mop. So, it was clear who was at fault.
"What should you be doing here? You know I'm mopping at this hour."
"Insolent employee!" Jeremy was angry. "I'm your boss. Do you know that?"
Nesta nodded. "Yes, Sir, I know. But I'm not at fault. I was mopping. It was you who showed up all of a sudden."
"Oh, so you want to manage me?"
Nesta's headache. So, what should she do if she was right?
If confronted, Jeremy still wouldn't admit that he was wrong. Nesta would rather give in then. Rather than die jumping from the top floor, because of the annoying person in front of her right now.
"Yes, Sir, I apologize."
"No need to apologize if you're not sincere at all."
Nesta shook her head. "Whether I'm sincere or not, how do you see it?"
"From all sides. Front, back, left and right. All the sides I find are negative!"
"So, what do you want me to do?"
"Use your mind, how to clean my shoes."
Nesta looked at Jeremy's slightly wet shoes, then took a handkerchief from her pocket.
"Let me clean your shoes, sir." Squatting down in front of Jeremy, Nesta cleaned the boss's shoes. She couldn't help it.
Almost as soon as the handkerchief touched the shoes, Jeremy pulled back his foot.
"What are you doing?"
"Cleaning shoes, Sir!" It's okay for employees to be annoyed with the boss. In fact, he was the one nagging because his shoes were dirty. Now that he wants to clean them, he protests again. What does he want!
"No, it's okay. I can clean it myself without your help."
That's fine if she can. Jeremy should have left Nesta's presence earlier. He's giving people high blood pressure here.
"Then, I'll go back to work if you don't want me to disturb you."
"Who said you could leave!"
Nesta gripped the broom handle tightly. Seriously, if Jeremy wasn't the boss, she would have lifted the broom handle high and knocked him on the head.
Remembering that she was only a subordinate in front of Jeremy's eyes, Nesta had to bend down to put on a patient face and accept this treatment as it was.
"Sir, what business do you have with me, really?"
Jeremy grabbed Nesta by both arms, forcing her to stand back up.
"I know this kind of trick!"
"You mean, sir?"
Jeremy smiled wryly. "You use this to tease me, don't you?"
How confident! Nesta couldn't believe it.
Jeremy gave Nesta a sly look. "Come on, it's quiet here. What do you want me to do to you?"
"Huh! If it's quiet, what do you think I want?"
Jeremy shrugged his shoulders. "It must be something you've been hoping for."
What was expected? Nesta hoped Jeremy would get out of her way now so she could get to work. Where? Well, if it's okay to allow her to beat him with a broom handle.
That damn boss, still staying where he is. Interrupting Nesta who wants to work. What's still up to expectations?
There's no need to deal with it. Pick up the bucket and mop, better get out of there. However, Jeremy quickly pulled Nesta hand away. Making her body stick so close to Jeremy.
The mop slipped from her grasp, and the bucket fell. The water even splashed everywhere.
Jeremy now pressed Nesta's body against the wall of the office balcony, Nesta was getting annoyed.
"It's quiet here, there's no one around. How about a little 'game'?" He brought his lips to Nesta's ear, making the new office girl's body flinch.
"You're crazy!" Nesta smacked Jeremy in the face.
"Come on, this kind of feigned resistance, I already know." Jeremy locked on to Nesta even more.
Nesta tried to slap Jeremy a second time. However, this time Jeremy deflected her hand. Now, both of Nesta's hands were on top. This freed the boss to bring his face closer to Nesta's.
"What do you want?" Nesta asked again.
The corners of Jeremy's lips turned up. "To kiss your lips," he whispered in Nesta's ear.
"Noooo!" Nesta screamed at the top of her lungs.
***
After taking a shower, getting all dolled up, and then struggling with the broom and mop. Who else if not Nesta. For the sake of the family in her hometown, for the sake of a stomach that must be filled, for the sake of a heart that must be comforted using quotas and traveling. Everything must be done.
By the way, Nesta thought about the warning a few days ago. First, she was not to go near Jeremy. Second, she was not allowed to see Jeremy. Third, she was not to say hello to Jeremy. Fourth, when they met outside they had to act like they didn't know each other.
Nesta had never known such a rule in her life. Moreover, it was written in big letters, if Nesta violated it she had to be willing to have her salary cut by 10%, three violations meant a 50% cut. Sadistic boss!
"How is your work going?" Early in the morning, while Nesta was having breakfast, she got a call from her father.
"It's going well, Dad."
Nesta was forced to lie. For the sake of her parents, Nesta had to be willing to lie. Despite the fact that she was being bullied by her superiors. Not to mention the problem of Lusi who always seemed to be annoyed with her every time they met.
A lot of oppression.
"Thank goodness then, I'm relieved to hear it."
"Dad, tell Nesta to buy me new shoes. I'm about to break them down, if you can get branded ones. They'll last longer!"
Gzz! Nesta's ears perked up. Mickey's an excuse to send a message to his father, even though he was yelling at his cellphone.
"Mickey!" Nesta huffed. "You don't need to be fashionable."
"Cheapskate. A cheapskate is a frog's mate!"
"Ohh, you're brother-in-law with a carrion frog!"
"No problem." Brave Mickey replied. "Anyway, buy me shoes for my first paycheck. If I get the shoes, I pray that you're the boss's soul mate."
"There's no point. The prayers of naughty people like you are effective."
"Let me tell you something. Someone who is always praised by the teacher, from elementary school got a scholarship, class president too. Where's the naughty, huh?"
Damn that square kid. Yes, indeed. He got everything that was said earlier. It's a far cry from Nesta who ranks in the top five from behind. When she lose like this, the only way is ....
"Daddy, it's Mickey!"
"You snitch!"
"Whatever!" Nesta thought that if her father hadn't remarried, that child wouldn't have been born. Or even if he was born, he should have been born into another family, not under the same roof as Nesta. Nesta's life, already economically miserable, became even more miserable after her birth.
"You two are always arguing. I get a headache."
"You blame Mickey, he's so naughty." Or if possible, Nesta wanted to blame her father. Why did he remarry Maria in the first place?
"I'm not naughty, I just asked for some shoes." Mickey was evasive. "It's a pity, Nes, that such a handsome guy was born into a poor family. If I were rich, I'd be chased by girls."
Tsk! Mickey likes to be careless.
"You just take their underwear, you'll be chased while being yelled at by crazy people."
"Dad, Nesta is not teaching the right thing."
Nesta stuck out her tongue. Diego had never gotten mad at Nesta. Even if they were wrong, they were usually punished together.
"It's already noon, instead of bothering your sister, go to school."
Nesta laughed with satisfaction. Mickey was nagged.
However, that basic child will not want to lose when it's a war like this. Still, she was determined to argue with her father.
"If you do this, you will only defend Nesta."
"Yes, you're ready to go to school!"
Mickey just grumbled. He was a boy, how could he dare to join in the complaining.
Although he grumbled, he finally complied. Although he had to go back again to shout near the speakerphone.
"Anyway, I don't want to know, don't forget to buy me shoes next payday!"
"Gosh, Mickey!" If this is the case, Nesta's head can get dizzy with a heavy heart forced to say yes. After all, if you don't obey it's a pity too. After all, she was Nesta's brother even though she had a different mother.
"Yes, I'll buy it later."
"Promise, huh?" He kept demanding.
"Yes, promise." Nesta ate her cereal while answering. What a talent to be able to eat while on the phone.
"The branded ones, anyway."
"That, XX Collection. Branded, right?"
Mickey scowled. "I don't want it. I want imported goods."
"According to the money. If you don't have enough money, don't ask for something expensive. Period!"
Jeremy has always been a morning person. He never arrives late, unless he has to run an errand. Every day, he was always the first to arrive among his employees.
Therefore, none of Golden Star's employees dared to come late.
Jeremy was not in a good mood.
Danny kept whining. Even when the handsome man was in the office, Danny still called to whine.
"Dan, I have to work."
"Papa you keep working, never cares about me."
Jeremy, who was still in the elevator, sighed. How could he not care about the boy?
"If you have time, we'll go abroad, dear. Right now, I really has a lot to do."
There was a clanking sound.
Jeremy exited the elevator. He was now on the top floor of his office.
There was no more conversation, but he still heard Danny crying. When his son was crying, Jeremy's heart sank.
"Okay, honey, don't cry. I promise, I'll accompany you to school this week."
The conversation wasn't over yet, something wet touched his shoes.
Jeremy scowled. "Damn it! Who the hell is this insolent."
He wiped his wet and dirty pants.
"Boss!" Nesta was stunned.
"You again!" Jeremy pointed at her. "After hot coffee, now a mop!"
Nesta shook her head. She didn't mean to.
This incident, why was it like a dream?
Well, de javu. This morning her head hurt, because she dreamt of being kissed by Jeremy.
No, no, no! Nesta didn't want Jeremy to kiss her.
Put up a defense, ready to fight if the boss wanted to mess with her.
"Didn't I tell you to keep your distance from me? Because you know what?"
Nesta snorted. Actually, was Jeremy aware of this or not?
Who would want to get close to him!
Nesta was annoyed with herself.
"Every time I see you, I'm shit! "
Nesta apologizes, then.
"I'm sorry, Sir." Nesta bowed, letting Jeremy believe that she was sincere.
Jeremy looked sharply at Nesta. "I think I'll have to give you a punishment."
Nesta shook her head, quickly. "Please, Sir." She took one step back.
Jeremy furrowed his brow. "No matter where you run, you will still receive the punishment!"
What! Turns out the Boss had a dirty mind, Nesta became even more worried.
Shut up, secure herself.
"You can punish me for anything, but don't ask for that."
"Ask for that, what?" Jeremy was confused.
"I know what's on your mind, Sir. Just so you know, even though I'm a poor woman and ugly in your eyes, I still have self-respect. Even though you're handsome, that doesn't mean I'm going to do anything to you."
She rambled on and on, unfortunately Jeremy couldn't understand what Nesta was talking about.
"What are you talking about?"
"I know what's on your mind, Sir."
"What's on my mind?" Jeremy was starting to get annoyed. "You're pretending to know about me."
When Jeremy took one step forward, Nesta took another. If Jeremy wasn't her boss, she would have hit him with a mop earlier.
"Sir, please. Even though it's quiet here, that doesn't mean you can kiss me randomly."
"What!" Jeremy gasped.
"I can scream as loud as I want, if you dare to mess with me!" Nesta then remembered that she was still holding the mop. "I can even hit you with this." She showed him the handle of the mop she was still holding.
Plang!
Jeremy hit Nesta with the briefcase he was carrying.
"Damn you, having thoughts like that about me!"
Nesta winced in pain.
"You think I have lust for women like you?" Jeremy looked at his subordinate from head to toe.
There was nothing interesting!
"Even if I want to kiss a woman, I only kiss my wife. I wouldn't kiss another woman, an ugly one like you!"
Nesta froze. Because of last night's dream, she had become paranoid herself.
Jeremy pulled Nesta's arm to get closer to him.
"Want to know what I think of you?"
Nesta glared when Jeremy was next to her. While the man gripped her even tighter. She had a bad feeling. Jeremy was definitely not going to say something pleasant to hear.
"I never liked a woman who admitted to herself that she was ugly and poor." Then Nesta's body was thrown down.
Gosh, if she had known it would hurt that much, she would have put the end of the mop handle in her mouth for less drama.
"Don't insult me, Sir!" complained Nesta. Even though she was janitor, she was still a woman with feelings.
"I'm not insulting. I just want to emphasize what's on your mind!" Nesta pointed at her forehead.
"Have you ever heard of the law of karma? Ever?" Nesta asked excitedly. "Just so you know, everything you say will be repaid."
"You want to pay me back?"
Nesta spluttered.
Jeremy asked again. "What kind of karma am I going to get for all those honest words, huh?"
"Today you mock me, you might fall in love with me later."
Jeremy immediately grabbed his forehead. "Shameless!"
Outrageous. Nesta's heart ached.
The hot-mouthed man just walked away.
Nesta turned her head in the direction Jeremy had gone.
"You arrogant boss! Watch out!" She cursed.
Jeremy kept walking.
Without turning to Nesta, he said, "Today, you have committed an offense. As punishment, I'm cutting your salary by 10%." After that, he kept walking.
Fucking boss!
Right this second, she declared war on the world's most annoying, arrogant boss.
While Nesta was annoyed with him, Jeremy reminded her of the hundred rules she had to work under. Argh, she's going crazy here.
