Jillian Chapman had just won another case. She celebrated her success with colleagues at the bar.
After indulging in a few drinks, she became slightly intoxicated and suddenly noticed her lifelong rival in the next booth-Bryan Michaels, a celebrated attorney known across borders for his unbeaten streak in the courtroom.
She had pursued him from high school to college. He remained aloof despite her persistent attempts over seven years.
In a moment of boldness, she rose. With unsteady steps, she approached Bryan.
She audaciously settled into his lap, snatching his tie with one hand while daringly reaching his private parts with the other.
"Bryan... having trouble in the bedroom?" she slurred.
Bryan reclined against the couch, his expression composed and quiet.
"Not replying, huh? Does that mean you're incompetent in all respects?" she goaded, tightening her grip on his cock.
A trace of annoyance flashed in Bryan's eyes as he gently but firmly removed her hand from his pants, his tone even but strained.
"Don't you care about your image? Your colleagues are right here."
Their peers from competing firms looked on, agape with shock.
Jillian rocked!
"My image was already ruined because of you. Is there anything left for me to uphold?" Visibly inebriated, Jillian spoke in a bitter tone and unexpectedly bit down on his neck.
Their classmates from high school through college had seen her spend lavishly in pursuit of this man, to no avail.
Disheartened after graduation, she left the country, determined to surpass him in his own field.
When she returned six months ago, she too became a celebrated attorney with an unbeaten streak.
Bryan scowled, his fingers tightening on the back of Jillian's neck as he attempted to pull her back, his eyes intense yet controlled. "Jillian, you're too drunk. Let your colleagues take you home."
"No, you take me home!" Jillian yanked at his tie, her voice forceful yet flirtatiously soft.
Bryan pried her hand away and adjusted his tie. He silently grasped her arm, guiding her out of the bar.
Their colleagues' eyes bulged in shock!
The legal community was well aware of their strained relations. What was going on?
As they reached the car, Jillian wrapped her arm around Bryan's neck and kissed him, her other hand daringly reaching his private parts, causing a slight shiver down Bryan's spine.
Bryan pinched her waist and pushed her slightly back. In a raised tone, he remarked, "Don't you know I could sue you for sexual harassment?"
"Do you really have sexual difficulties? Well, I might just spend the night with someone off the street," Jillian declared firmly, dismissing his words and gesturing towards a passerby. "Hello there, care for some excitement?"
Bryan's expression darkened as he observed her actions. Firmly lowering her hand, he opened the car door and swiftly ushered her inside.
He drove directly home.
Once inside, they feverishly removed each other's clothes, sharing fervent kisses as they made their way to the bathroom.
The next morning, Jillian awoke and turned her head slowly-beside her was a man reclining lazily with a cigarette dangling from his lips.
His penetrating gaze, sculpted nose, and well-defined lips sketched a visage of allure yet carried an air of stern authority.
Her mind snapped into clarity.
After a decade, had she finally slept with this daunting man?
Fantastic!
"Good morning, Bryan," Jillian announced, drawing the blanket up as she sat up, reclaiming her usual poised demeanor as a lawyer.
"Get ready. Breakfast is on its way," Bryan remarked, snuffing out his cigarette in the nearby ashtray.
"No need, I've got a client meeting early today," she responded crisply, pulling away the blanket to rise from the bed.
Her gaze sparkled mischievously as she snatched her phone from the nightstand, her lips curling into a cunning smile.
"Should we capture this moment with a photo?" she suggested.
Before Bryan could react, Jillian swiftly activated the camera. She leaned against his firm chest, and captured the moment with a victorious grin.
Beneath the pale gray blanket, their bodies remained just out of view, igniting wild imaginations.
She sent the photo to her best friend, intentionally attaching a voice message.
"Hey, tell everyone who doubted me to pay up soon, and don't forget the interest from the past decade."
Her image had suffered. She was determined to restore it in her own way.
Bryan caught her words, a spark of intrigue lighting up his eyes as he grinned. "So, I was just a bet?"
Jillian spun around, pressing her body against his solid form. Her fingers playfully drew patterns on his eight packs.
Her eyes sparkled mischievously as she queried, "Didn't you know? Why the surprise? Besides, consider last night a causal fling. We're adults. There's no need for any obligations."
For ten years, her hopes had been dashed repeatedly, and he had left her heartbroken time and again. There was no way she would pursue him again.
Dumping Bryan after finally sharing a night with him had been her long-held aspiration!
"Jillian, I didn't expect you to be such a player." Bryan laughed, gently pushing her away.
His striking features could easily unsettle her, every fleeting look sending a thrill through her.
This man was a master seducer!
As he nudged her, Jillian stabilized herself with her hands on the bed, arching her back provocatively. Her hair flowed down her back, showing her inviting figure.
Bryan's gaze lingered on her, his pulse quickening. He scowled slightly.
"Wasn't last night just for kicks? Or is there more to it? Do you have feelings for me?" Jillian spoke nonchalantly as she tossed her wavy hair. She picked up her clothes from the floor, dressing at a leisurely pace.
Every slow movement was a deliberate tease.
"Do you think I would fall for you?" Bryan glanced at her, his face set in a frosty mask.
Jillian wasn't taken aback by his cool demeanor. This time, she was the one walking away!
Her phone buzzed incessantly with notifications. Peering at the screen, she saw a flood of texts from her best friend.
"Did you finally hook up with Bryan?"
"How did you manage it after all these years?"
"Tell me, was he good? What moves did you guys pull off?"
Her messages were punctuated with a playful emoji.
Jillian typed back swiftly. "I'll share it to you later."
At the same time, Bryan's phone vibrated non-stop.
He checked it to discover that their high school and college group chats were alive with shock.
"Did Jillian really sleep with Bryan?"
Spotting the group texts, Jillian tensed for a moment, not anticipating such a widespread buzz.
Thankfully, these groups were made up of her closest friends, totaling just about twenty or thirty people each.
She quickly responded, "Just a casual fling, nothing serious. Those who doubted me, time to pay up."
Bryan observed her message, a subtle smile curling his lips, though his amber eyes held a glacial stare.
Jillian caught his look, feeling a shiver trace her spine.
"I dare you to challenge Bryan again. This time, I'm doubling the bet."
The entire college group echoed the dare, escalating the challenge!
"I can take him on not just a second time, but even a third. Ready your wallets if you're in!" Jillian declared boldly, refusing to shy away from the challenge.
Bryan's grin widened, his eyes gleaming with a predatory intensity as if he could consume her then and there!
His best friend interjected suddenly, "Bryan just locked a lawyer away for twenty years last week! Think twice, Jillian."
Jillian read the comment from his friend, then glanced at the man on the bed who lit another cigarette, his face obscured by the rising smoke.
She quirked an eyebrow, retorting confidently, "Oh really? I relish the prospect of squaring off against Bryan in court."
With those words, she set down her phone, gave a cheeky wave to the man on the bed, and said, "I'm off now. Thanks for the memories. It was a lot of fun. Look after yourself."
Bryan's smile lingered, subdued, as he pressed the cigarette into the ashtray, flattening it completely.
It was a fine morning at the café.
But the moment Jillian pushed open the door to the private room, her gaze fell on the composed and distant figure seated inside. She paused briefly, caught off guard.
She quickly recovered, offering a polished smile. "Bryan, fancy seeing you here."
"I suppose you'd like to see me after taking on the bet," Bryan responded smoothly, setting his coffee cup down with a calm smile. He crossed his legs and leaned back against the sofa, exuding an effortless ease.
"Should I be thanking you for that?" Jillian asked as she made her way over and sat across from him.
Her client was a former college classmate from their group chat, once part of a prominent wealthy family in the city, now fallen to ruin due to internal family conflict.
Bryan's expression remained unchanged. He offered no response.
"Zachary, aren't you ashamed? We've been divorced for three years, and you're still demanding half of my money?"
Wrapped in a striking red dress that hugged her figure, Emely Higgins shouted furiously upon seeing Zachary.
"If I didn't support you back then, would you even be where you are right now? Where's your conscience?" Zachary Higgins snapped back, desperate for the money to rebuild his life.
"Why should I-" Emely began, but Jillian cut in smoothly.
"If arguing could fix problems, lawyers like us wouldn't be necessary, would we?"
The two fell into an abrupt silence.
With a steady expression, Jillian looked directly at the man seated across from her and spoke calmly.
"Bryan, you must be aware that simply signing a divorce agreement without following through on the legal procedures renders the agreement meaningless. According to marital law, assets are divided equally between spouses upon divorce, and any debts must also be shared."
Bryan glanced at her briefly, offering no immediate response.
Instead, he shifted his focus. "Mr. Higgins, while you're married with my client, you engaged in affairs with other women. Will you confirm this?"
Zachary crossed his legs, his foot shaking lazily as he smiled, unaffected.
Jillian turned to him, surprised. Why hadn't he disclosed this to her?
"Come on, what man hasn't..."
He trailed off when Jillian shot him a sharp glance, nudging him before smiling.
She then asked, "Bryan, do you have any proof?"
She had already warned Zachary that everything said would be recorded. Had he forgotten?
"I saw him checking into a hotel with a model!" Emely snapped angrily.
"Mrs. Higgins, didn't Bryan explain what qualifies as evidence?" Jillian asked with a cool smile. Luckily, there was no real proof.
"You accuse me of having mistresses, but don't you have a boy toy by your side now? Who knows how many men you've been with over the years!" Zachary sneered.
"I only did that after signing the divorce papers-"
She was cut off as Bryan interjected, "Please present evidence before making any claims."
They had already established that the divorce agreement was void, and now she was admitting to infidelity?
Was she trying to leave empty-handed?
How foolish!
Jillian glanced at Zachary beside her. He knew about his wife's boy toy but had no proof?
She sighed quietly, realizing the battle ahead would be tough.
"Mr. Higgins, you've been separated from my client for three years and haven't fulfilled any marital duties. What exactly have you been doing during this time?" Bryan said sternly.
"I-" Zachary opened his mouth, but Jillian quickly cut in, her voice sharp.
"He has been working tirelessly to create a better future for Mrs. Higgins. Yet, in his lowest moments, his legal wife took possession of their shared property, leading to financial strain and ultimately the collapse of his business. If this goes to court, Mrs. Higgins shouldn't expect to walk away with a single dime!"
"Are you attempting to threaten us, Jillian? Whether my client had any role in his bankruptcy can easily be investigated," Bryan countered, casting a glance at his client. She had never brought this up before.
This was his first case against Jillian, and her performance impressed him.
Jillian said, "By all means, Bryan, investigate. My client spent over a billion on properties and luxury cars for Mrs. Higgins. Before and after his company went under, she contributed nothing financially. She refused to help settle the joint debts. And if you add the boy toy into the mix..."
She leaned in slightly, her gaze cold yet her smile unwavering. "Bryan, are you willing to settle evenly, or shall we see each other in court? Think carefully."
"Before the divorce is finalized, stay far away from other women. Make sure there's nothing left for them to catch you on, and clean up every trace-hotel records, photos, texts-everything," Jillian said coolly as they drove.
"Understood."
Zachary now looked at her with newfound admiration. At first, he had felt embarrassed about trying to take Emely's money, but after hearing Jillian's reasoning, he felt entitled and self-assured!
"Is your wife living with her boy toy?" Jillian asked again, her tone sharp.
"They've been living together for three years," he responded, folding his arms with a bitter laugh.
"That simplifies things..." she muttered, pulling the car over to the side of the road and bringing it to a stop.
"Go back now and install cameras at your wife's place."
"She's not going to let me in!"
They had been apart for three years, and the villa was in her name.
"Fool, you're still legally her husband. What reason could she have to stop you from entering your own home? And for all we know, she could be with Bryan as we speak."
"Got it, I'm heading over now!" Zachary responded.
He had treated Emely well, spent so much on her, and now she was being this cruel?
Well, she had no one but herself to blame!
In the evening, Jillian had just finished her shower when Zachary called, frantic, claiming Bryan was planning to sue him-for bribing a lawyer!
He pleaded with her to find a way to save him.
"Did you actually bribe Bryan?" she asked, half-amused, half-exasperated.
"Bryan called me last night, and said he tracked down that model. I panicked and, thinking we were classmates, I went to him for mercy and handed over a million-dollar check..."
"You idiot, he was bluffing! It's like dragging some random woman and saying she slept with you. Without solid evidence, who's going to believe it? People like you would get conned out of everything without even reaching the divorce court!"
She folded her arms, shaking her head with a helpless smirk. "It's not the strong rival I should fear, but the incompetent ally beside me!"
"I know, I'm an idiot, a complete fool. Jillian, you've got to help me. Bryan, that jerk, doesn't care about our relationship at all. It's maddening!"
"Bribing a lawyer with a million dollars? That's a guaranteed five-year sentence. There's no way around it. How am I supposed to save you?"
"I don't care if I go to jail, but you-if you lose to Bryan on your first case against him, your reputation will be in tatters. The entire legal community, our classmates, friends-everyone will mock you!" Zachary tried to feign sympathy as he spoke.
Jillian paced back and forth in her bedroom before sharply reminding him, "I'll tell you one more time. Don't meet Bryan without me present. And be careful when you're talking to your wife. Don't get caught in her web. Understand?"
"This time, I swear I've got it. So, what's your plan-"
He began to ask how she would handle the bribery mess when the call suddenly cut off.
The next morning, at Bryan's law firm, Apex.
"Ms. Chapman, you-"
The receptionist began, but Jillian breezed past without slowing.
"I'm Bryan's girlfriend."
The employees froze in shock. The rumors about her and Bryan had been swirling for days.
Jillian spotted his nameplate on the office door. She knocked once, then pushed it open.
Bryan was immersed in reviewing case files. He looked up, his face impassive, his tone icy. "Jillian, what can I do for you?"
Jillian, dressed in a sleek black suit dress, her loosely curled hair draped effortlessly over her shoulders, and standing tall in three-inch black heels, carried a certain undeniable allure despite her formal attire.
She strode over, perched seductively on the edge of his desk, and teasingly ran his tie through her fingers, tugging it lightly.
"We were just together the other night, and now you're pretending to be all business?"
"You're here because of Zachary's attempt to bribe me, right?" Bryan adjusted his tie, a faint chuckle escaping him.
"Not at all. I came to discuss personal matters, completely unrelated to work."
Jillian tugged at his tie once more, holding it with a playful yet slightly forced smile.
"Another night together, so you can boast about it to your friends and possibly profit from it?"
Bryan coolly swatted her hand away, folding his arms and leaning back in his chair, his eyebrow arching inquisitively.
Jillian slid smoothly from the desk into his lap, her voice low and seductive by his ear.
"To be honest, I was quite tipsy last time. I barely remember anything and wouldn't mind a clearer memory..."
A blush tinged Bryan's ears as he stared at this audacious woman, then firmly pushed her away.
"Jillian, have you no sense of shame?"
"My sense of shame? I lost that long ago. Maybe you could help me find it?"
She reclined against him, her fingers delicately tracing his neck down to his chin, then playfully outlining his lips.
"You really excel at playing coy. The other night, you were so passionate, I thought you'd never encountered a woman before. Now you're all high and mighty."
Her touch seemed electrifying, prompting him to briskly brush her fingers aside, diverting his intense gaze.
"Wasn't it you who declared the other night was just a casual fling? What's this about now?"
Jillian mentally cursed herself-or more precisely, Zachary! His mess was the only reason she found herself begging here now.
"Oh really? I have no recollection of that." She brazenly feigned ignorance. "Look, we've slept together. Why not consider dating?"
"Sorry, I don't date someone... like you," he stated icily, effortlessly lifting her from his lap.
Jillian clenched her teeth, fighting to keep her composure. She should have been standing tall before him, not demeaning herself before such a man.
He was cold as ice, stubborn as a mule and equally distasteful!
With her striking beauty, impressive figure, and her prosperous career, she was a catch with admirers from near and far!
And yet, she found herself entangled with this unyielding man!
She regained her poise, brushed her hair back from her forehead, and spun around, crossing her arms while flashing Bryan a defiant smile.
"Really, jerk, are you sure this is how you want to play it?"
Bryan disregarded her taunt, pressing a button on his desk phone. "Adelina, please escort Jillian to process the payment."
After hanging up the phone, he said to Jillian, "I charge $10, 000 per hour. Kindly settle your account on your way out." He cast a brief glance towards the door.
Jillian flashed him a smile and nodded, then casually removed her black jacket, tossing it onto his desk.
As she approached the door, she began to unbutton her white shirt, her fingers teasing through her hair.
"It's just $10, 000. I'll cover it. And maybe have your secretary... fetch two packs of condoms while she's at it!"
Bryan's normally stoic demeanor wavered as he watched her provocatively, rising swiftly to follow her.
He cornered her against the wall near the door, his eyes briefly landing on the lace that barely covered her chest.
Flashes of the other night's escapades crossed his mind, and he averted his gaze, his voice a low murmur.
"Tell me, what are you really after here?"
Jillian eyed him and then glanced around the office, cautious of this crafty man who might be recording them.
He was adept at setting traps-as he had with Zachary. If she misstepped, she risked not only the case but potentially her freedom, subject to ridicule by all.
"I'm here to discuss our relationship," she replied, her smile fixed, trying to defuse the tension.
Suddenly, the office door swung open.
Adelina Green, Bryan's secretary, appeared, her eyes widening at the compromising scene before her.
Bryan, a figure of influence in both the political and business realms, noted for his cutthroat determination and focus on his career, rarely spared a thought for romance.
Yet, here he was...
"Leave," Bryan commanded, his tone unequivocal.
"Yes, yes, Bryan. I didn't see a thing," Adelina stuttered, quickly covering her eyes as she began to retreat.
Jillian playfully called out, "And don't forget to pick up two packs of condoms for us."
"Huh?" Adelina paused, turning back in confusion, her expression shifting to realization. She nodded, her movements clumsy.
"Yes, of course... I'll handle it immediately." With that, she hurriedly closed the door.
Jillian chuckled. "Your secretary sure adds some color to the office."
Bryan handed her the jacket, posing a pointed question.
"Enjoyed your little game? Would you prefer to dress and leave, or would you like to exit naked? I'm quite willing to assist in stripping you down."
"Go ahead, I'd like to see you try," Jillian taunted, arching an eyebrow skeptically, doubting he would follow through.
But no sooner had she spoken than he flung the jacket aside, seized her shirt, and sharply tugged it open!
He pulled her against his solid frame, expertly unclasping her bra with a flick of his wrist.
Just as he was about to pull it off, Jillian instinctively clutched at her bra.
"You actually went for it, you jerk? You think you're the only bold one here?"
With her free hand, she swiftly unfastened his belt, leaving it hanging loosely.
Bryan looked down at his belt and then back up at her, a complex emotion flickering in his intense eyes.
At that moment, the sound of the office door handle turning interrupted them. Bryan swiftly pressed against it, issuing a stern command, "Do not enter!"
He then addressed Jillian, "Aren't you going to get dressed?"
He released the door, quickly securing his belt.
"Didn't you challenge me to leave here undressed? Why hold back now? Is it that you can't stand to see me make a fool of myself?"
Jillian leaned back against the wall, arms crossed, a playful smile on her lips.
The delicate lace of her loosely fitted top hinted at the curves beneath, provocatively inviting yet just out of reach, challenging anyone to dare further.
