"Sally, are you coming? I am getting late for the show," Selena says. "You go, and I will join you there as I need to send some important documents to your editor. Since you don't work and have made me your assistant," she adds.

Manish comes back to the room and says, "Sally babe, if you are my assistant, then I am ordering you to come with me. If you don't, your salary will be deducted."

Selena replies, "Yes, sir. What if I kill you with my own hands? Because of you, I had to pause my film career, and now I'm just assembling your papers and paychecks. But I like it. You idiot, I don't know how you write all of these stories, but I'm glad that I am your wife. Otherwise, I would have killed you after those hard days we had to go through."

Manish responds, "Yes, ma'am. I am unfortunate, shit, I mean lucky to have you."

Selena warns, "You better get out of the room, or I will kill you this time."

Manish comes closer to her, kisses her forehead, and says, "Baby, you are everything to me. Now get up and let's go. I feel really proud when you are with me. Not because you are beautiful, shit, sorry, but because I am proud to be yours. When I am in public with you, I feel complete. So get ready, or I am canceling the interview."

"Wait, you dumb head! I am coming. Wait for two minutes," says Sally as she goes into the changing room. Manish comes to the living area and sees some letters on the table. He takes all the letters in his hand and opens them one by one. A few of them are his paychecks, and in the end, there is a letter from a director who wants to adapt one of his books that he wrote a few years back. He opens the letter, and it says, "Manish, my name is David Borsh, and I am a new director. Actually, it will be my first project. I wanted to make a masterpiece for my entry. I have nothing to offer, instead, I want you to be my producer and actor because I think you could do justice to what you have written. If you would help me, I would be in debt to you for life." Manish smiles, takes out his phone, and starts to dial the number written on the letter.

"Manish, "Hello, is that David?" "Yes, it's me, David. Who are you and how can I help you?" said David.

"Manish," said David. "It's me, Manish, the person you sent the letter for the movie."

David stood and said, "Sir, is it really you? I mean, I cannot believe it. Wow, oh my God!"

Manish said, "Yes, my friend, it's me. And I would love to work with you, but I have a different notion to introduce to you."

David said, "Yes, sir. Please tell me. I would definitely love to work with you."

Manish said, "David, in the evening, meet me at the Rockers Café at 6 PM, and I will tell you the rest there."

David said, "Definitely, sir." And Manish hung up the call.

The moment Manish ended the call, Selena came and asked, "Who were you talking to? And who is David?"

Manish said, "Baby, in the evening, we have to go meet a director, and I will take my secretary with me to take notes."

Selena said, "Yes, sir. But before that, we need to go for the interview."

Manish said, "Yes, now we must leave. And when we come back from the set, I will take you to your favorite restaurant for lunch."

Selena smelled something and said, "Okay, lunch. But what is cooking in your mind? Tell me everything."

"Manish said, 'I will tell you everything. Now let's go, I have something on my mind.' Selena said, 'Does something mean that the director is someone big, or are you working on another sci-fi movie like you did with Sam, based on your book series, The Book Volume One?' Manish replied, 'No, this time I have something different in mind. I am thinking of showing reality to people.' Selena asked, 'What kind of reality?' Manish answered, 'The real life of a normal human.' Selena said, 'I still don't understand. What do you mean?' Manish said, 'I will explain during lunch. We have arrived at the set.' The valet came, and both Manish and Selena got out of the car. A few people gathered around them to take photos and get autographs. After a few minutes, they left for the set. Inside, the whole crew greeted them, and the director said, 'Manish, you have tested my patience.' Manish smiled and replied, 'It's not me, Pete. It's just work, and I don't intend to make you wait for my availability.'"

"Pete said, 'You come here!' and they both hugged. Pete asked, 'How was my line?' Manish replied, 'Yes, I could give you a role in one of my adaptations.' Pete said, 'That's really helpful. It's better to be an actor rather than a director.' Selena chimed in, 'Do your directing and leave the acting to people like us.'

Pete turned to Selena and asked, 'Hey Selena, are you resuming your career?' Manish answered, 'Yes, she will soon be seen on the big screen.' Selena added, 'Yes, and I am not even aware if I am resuming or not. He knows everything; he has seen a vision in his dreams.' Pete teased, 'What, Manish? You are having visions now? You never told me. Okay, tell me when is my wife dying, or do I have to wait?' The three of them burst into laughter.

Selena playfully slapped Pete's hand and said, 'Yes, Manish, do you want to see a vision where I am killing you?' Manish joked, 'Pete, why don't you see visions for me and set me free?' They all laughed, and Selena gave Manish a look. Pete said, 'Okay, no issues. Manish, you can sit on the set, and the show will go on air in a few minutes.'

Manish asked, 'By the way, who is the host? Is it Jenny again?' Selena became serious and said to Pete, 'Pete, you better get some better anchors. Yes, it's just too much.' Manish sensed some jealousy and said, 'Selena, I am sensing some jealousy here.' Pete laughed, and Selena warned, 'You better be in your shoes, or you know you have to come back to me after the shoot.'

Manish intervened, 'Pete, you are making it worse for me. Just get the work done. I have to go somewhere.' Pete replied, 'Yes, I know where you are going.' Manish confirmed, 'Yes, you know.' Pete joked, 'Yes, straight to hell. Do spare a seat for me. I will shoot your interview in hell for the Hell TV.'"

"And the three of them were laughing when Jenny entered the conversation and said, "Hi Manish, how are you?" Selena replied, "Same as he was earlier when you took the previous interview." Manish said, "Babe." Selena responded, "Yes, I remember the rule. I am going to my seat and you enjoy your interview with Jenny." Selena left and Jenny and Manish started talking. Manish said, "Okay Jenny, without wasting time, let's work. Then, it's a beautiful day. You go home and I will enjoy lunch with my wife."

In a few minutes, the show aired and within half an hour, the interview was shot. Manish and Selena both went to the restaurant. As soon as they reached, the valet took the car and the manager himself came to attend to them. Manish exclaimed, "Reggy, wow, you are still the same since I left you two days ago." Reggy replied, "Yes, sir. I am the same as when you left me two days and one night ago. So, sir, what's the occasion today?" Selena said, "Come on, Reggy. We do not need an occasion to come and meet you.

Sometimes, we just want to eat the food cooked by you." Reggy said, "Oh, come on, ma'am."

"Manish said, you better not flirt with my wife," Reggy.

Reggy replied, "Sorry, sir. I can never even think of that. But if you are saying that, I am sorry for that."

Manish laughed and said, "Oh, come on, Reggy. I am just pulling your leg. And yes, we will have our regular dinner that you cook with your own hands."

Reggy said, "Yes, sir. I will go get it for you."

Selena asked, "Why do you pull his leg all the time when you come here?"

Manish insisted, "Babe, I want to give it a try, at the cost of our whole fortune."

Selena questioned, "Do you know how much it costs to make a movie?"

Manish replied, "See, I have a plan, and I have found a new director who I think will suit the role."

"Selena asked, "Who is the director?" and Manish replied, "It's David." Selena inquired, "Who is David?" Manish answered, "You will meet him soon." Selena asked, "Please be clear, I do not know any David from the industry." Manish said, "He's a boy who sent me a letter to debut as a director and make a movie based on one of my books." Selena exclaimed, "Wow, a debutant! And you got hooked on the idea that he wants to adapt your book? Will you be producing it? Can you tell me how you will do that?" Manish replied, "Okay, first listen to my idea and then make a decision. Whatever you decide, I will do." Selena stated, "I have made my decision. It's a big no." Manish laughed and said, "At least listen to what I have in my mind." Selena responded, "Go on, but it's still a no from me." Manish said, "Okay, so my idea is to make a movie about my life, specifically focusing on one day. I will show it to you when I draft it." Selena asked, "Will you show your relationship with Adrita in that movie? If that's the case, it's a no." Manish clarified, "No, not that. Just a day when I prayed to God and something good happened, a day when I found my purpose in life." Selena said, "Please be clear, I am not understanding anything." Manish replied, "I will tell you when we meet David." Selena concluded, "So you have made up your mind." Manish corrected her, "No, not yet."

"Then why are you making me meet David?" Manish asked. "Because I want you to lead opposite me. Selena laughed and said, "You want to act in your movie and take me as the female lead." Manish smiled and said, "Yes." Selena responded, "How can you be so dumb? You are a writer, a perfect husband, a great storyteller, but not an actor." Manish insisted, "I will learn to act." Selena asked, "Who will teach you to act?" Manish replied, "You." Selena's smile quickly faded as she said, "Are you out of your mind? How can I do that? And how can you even think of that? I cannot do that." Manish persisted, "Yes, you can. And yes, I can too." Selena declared, "I am leaving you. Do whatever you want to do." Manish pleaded, "Babe, can you wait until David comes? I will tell you the whole plot of the story." Selena snapped, "Are you out of your mind? Do you even understand what you are saying? You want to make a movie without considering the trends in the industry, with a debutant director, and thinking of doing the lead role and taking me along with you? To be in a movie with a concept that only you know, that is not even what the viewers want to see?" Manish smiled and said, "Okay, just let David come. I will narrate the story, and if you don't like the concept, I will drop the plan, and we will go home. I will make a hot chocolate for you. Will that work?" Selena replied, "Stop buttering me, and why can't you tell me the story first?" Manish explained, "Because if I narrate the story to you, and then tell it to David, I will improvise based on your influence. I want my story to be what I have in my mind, regardless of whether you or even David might not like it.

"Selena said, 'Okay, just tell me one last thing. Since when have you been cooking up this plan in your mind, and why didn't you tell me earlier?' Manish smiled and said, 'I came up with this plan in the morning when I read the letter from David. Then, I called him to meet me here.' 'Yup, you've proven that you've gone mad. I'm married to a mad man, huh? What can I do? God, please save me and give some brain to this person,' Selena muttered. Manish smiled as a waiter approached their table and said, 'Sir, Ma'am, there is a person who wants to meet you. He says his name is David, and you told him to meet you here.' Manish replied, 'Yes, I called him. Please bring him here.' The waiter nodded and left.

David entered the restaurant, a tall boy with glasses, wearing a denim jacket and carrying a backpack. He looked around as Manish called his name. David heard and went directly to their table, saying, 'Good evening, Sir and Ma'am.' Selena exclaimed, 'Huh?' Manish said, 'Come on, babe.' David asked, 'Sir, did I do something wrong?' Manish reassured him, 'No, bro. Come and have a seat. Tell me, what will you...' He called the waiter and David interjected, 'Nothing, sir.

I'm alright.' Manish asked, 'Bro, do you drink?' David replied, 'No, sir.' The waiter returned and Manish said, 'My friend, can you bring the boy the best of your shakes?' The waiter nodded and left. Manish then said, 'So, honey, this is David. And David she is...' David interrupted and said, 'Yes, sir. Who doesn't know her, ma'am? It's an honor meeting you.'"

"Selena gives a fake smile, and Manish says, 'So David, what do you do? I mean, what's your poison, your purpose?' David replies, 'Sir, I am a film engineering student. I graduated last year and have been looking for work, but I did not get a chance.' Selena interrupts, 'And then you tried to fool this guy.' David quickly responds, 'No ma'am, I am inspired by Manish Sir. His ideology is what the modern cinema wants. For his specialty, I read a research on him and his writings. After concluding, I want to give a new approach to cinema based on his style, and I have named it Indie-Western Cinema, as it is all about Manish Sir's writings and his vision.' Selena questions, 'And who are you to start this so-called new Indie-Western Cinema?' David smiles and says, 'Ma'am, I am just a person who is influenced by Manish's writings.' Manish intervenes, 'No issues, let's start with what I have in mind.' David eagerly replies, 'Yes, sir. And I am sorry, ma'am, if you do not find it relevant. But if you want, I can present the whole research published by my college, and it is all based on Manish's writings.' He takes out the research and presents it to Selena. She takes it in her hand, and with a curious face, she starts to read a few pages. After a few minutes, she smiles and says, 'Where did you get these facts about him?'"

"David," said, "as I told you, I am totally influenced by him." Selena asked, "Do you know him?" David replied, "Ma'am, my father used to be his best friend." Manish exclaimed, "Who? And, prior to everything, tell me all about you." David responded, "Sir, you had a teacher when you were in India." Manish confirmed, "Yes, I had a lot of teachers. Which one are you talking about?" David clarified, "Renu ma'am." Manish remembered, "Yes, I remember her. Are you her son?" David replied, "No, sir, I am not. But in my process of making research on you, I studied in your school." Manish requested, "Be clear." David continued, "Sir, do you remember your friend Safal?" Manish questioned, "You cannot be Safal's son." David clarified, "No, sir, I am not his son. Do you remember the person who you spent your recovery days with?" Manish replied, "His son died." David explained, "Sir, I am his younger son. I went to my maternal grandparents' home after my mother died. When I got to know about you and my dad, I went to my dad, and he told me about you and how you got your purpose." Manish asked, "Did he tell you about that day?" David replied, "Not exactly, but yes, I have a small idea. He also told me that you rewrote my brother's books. Then he told me to follow your footsteps and gave me this to make you remember that I am his younger son." Manish smiled and said, "So you have brought the thing here." Selena asked, "What is it? Will anybody tell me about it?"

"Manish said, 'Take it out and show it to me,' and David took out a pouch and said, 'Manish, here, take it.' Manish opened the pouch and found a few coins inside. Tears welled up in his eyes as he said, 'Very well, young man. Tell me, what do you want? I will give you anything.' David replied, 'Yes, I want a chance, and I promise you I will not let you down.' Selena took the coins in her hand and asked, 'What are these? They are just a few coins.' Manish corrected her, saying, 'They are not just coins, they are my savings.' Selena then asked, 'Okay, now will you tell me what is on your mind?' Manish turned to David and said, 'Listen, David, I have planned everything.' David eagerly responded, 'Yes, sir, tell me.' Selena interjected, 'Propose your plan.' Manish explained, 'We will make a movie based on real-life instances from my experiences.' David expressed his surprise, saying, 'But, sir, I wanted something else. I wanted to adapt your book.' Manish firmly replied, 'No, I have planned something else.' Selena inquired, 'What is on your mind?' Manish confessed, 'It has been my fantasy since I took that drug. When I was under its influence, I had a voice in my head that is still there. It's not my mind because I know my mind cannot be this wise.' Selena asked, 'Is it Adrita's voice?' Manish denied, saying, 'No, it's somebody else.' Selena questioned further, 'Has it ever told you who she is?' Manish hesitated, 'You will not believe me.' Sarcastically, Selena responded, 'I will never believe I married a mad man who has a voice in his head. And now he wants to make a movie about that voice. Wow, God, you are so good."
