Chapter 1 ALEX AND OLIVIA

Olivia stood in the sterile hospital corridor, her heart pounding in sync with the distant hum of machinery. She had been pacing for what felt like an eternity, anxiously awaiting any scrap of news about her mother. This was the fourth doctor she had approached, and frustration clawed at her as each one evaded her questions.

"Doctor, what's happening? What's wrong with my mom?" Her voice quivered with desperation as she stepped closer, clutching at the doctor's white-coated arm.

The doctor, busy and preoccupied, glanced briefly at Olivia before resuming his path down the corridor. His silence grated on her nerves, but Olivia refused to relent. With a firm grip, she caught hold of his wrist, her fingers trembling.

"Please, tell me what's wrong with my mom!" Her voice cracked, tears welling up in her eyes and streaming down her cheeks unchecked.

The doctor paused, sighing softly as he gently withdrew his arm from her grasp. "I'm sorry, ma'am," he began in a rehearsed tone, "the attending physician will update you shortly. Please be patient."

Olivia bit her lip to stifle a frustrated retort. She turned to see her younger sister, Clara, standing a few paces away, her eyes wide with worry.

"Will Mom be alright?" Clara's voice was small and hesitant, barely audible above the ambient hospital noises.

Olivia moved swiftly to her sister's side, wrapping her in a tight embrace. "She'll be okay," she murmured, trying to inject confidence into her voice despite her own mounting fear and uncertainty.

Hours passed like minutes in the antiseptic hallways, the tension thickening with each passing moment. Finally, the doors to the room where their mother lay hooked up to monitors and IV drips swung open, and a cluster of doctors emerged, their faces impassive and unreadable.

Olivia's heart sank. All but one of the doctors dispersed without a word, leaving a solitary figure in a white coat standing before her.

"I need to speak with you," the doctor said gently, finally acknowledging Olivia's presence.

"Clara, go to Angel's I'll meet you there. If I don't come home tonight, use this for yourself," Olivia instructed, pressing a wad of crumpled bills into her sister's trembling hand.

Clara hesitated, her eyes wide with fear and confusion, but Olivia's firm gaze brooked no argument. Nodding silently, Clara turned and hurried away, disappearing down the hallway.

Alone now with the doctor, Olivia followed him in silence to a small, cramped office tucked away from the bustle of the hospital corridors.

"You may sit," the doctor offered politely, gesturing towards a worn chair opposite his cluttered desk.

"No, thank you," Olivia replied tersely, her voice strained with worry. "Please, what's wrong with my mom?"

The doctor took a deep breath, his eyes meeting Olivia's with a mixture of sympathy and professional detachment. "Your mother requires immediate surgery within the next ten days," he began slowly, "or her condition may deteriorate fatally."

Olivia's breath caught in her throat, her mind racing to comprehend the gravity of his words. "And how much will the surgery cost?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper, betraying the mounting panic she felt.

"One billion," the doctor replied matter-of-factly, his tone unwavering despite the bombshell he had just dropped.

"One billion?" Olivia repeated, her mind reeling. "How on earth am I supposed to afford that? Please, you have to help save my mom!"

The doctor leaned forward, his expression softening marginally. "We can proceed once your outstanding dues are settled," he insisted calmly.

Olivia's frustration boiled over. "Outstanding dues? Is that all you care about?" she cried, her voice trembling with a mixture of anger and fear. "My mother's life is at stake here!"

"Leave my office immediately!" The doctor's tone hardened, his professional demeanor slipping slightly under Olivia's intense emotional onslaught.

Distraught and overwhelmed, Olivia stumbled out of the doctor's office, her thoughts spinning with fear and desperation. She leaned against the cool wall of the hospital corridor, clutching at her chest as if to quell the rising panic within her.

"What do I do now?" she muttered to herself, her voice wavering. "How am I supposed to come up with one billion?"

As Olivia's mind raced with desperation for money, she received a call about a shoot.

ALEX MANSION

Alex lounged in the chair, his posture regal and imposing.

"Fetch that," he commanded the maid, pointing to the watch. Without hesitation, she presented it to him, and Alex extended his wrist expectantly.

She bowed low, trembling slightly as she offered him the watch.

Alex's gaze turned steely. "Who hired this incompetent fool?" His voice was sharp, and the maid instinctively dropped to the floor in a trembling heap.

"I'm sorry, sir. Please forgive me!" Her voice wavered with fear, tears welling up in her eyes.

The commotion summoned Mrs. Jones, who hurried into the room. "What's happening? I hired her. What did she do wrong?" Mrs. Jones's concern was evident as she addressed Alex, who, known for his terse manner, remained silent. He rose abruptly, adjusting his impeccable black suit and grabbing the watch.

His eyes bore into the maid's, his brow furrowed in disapproval. "Dismiss her," he ordered coldly, then turned to leave. The maid's tears flowed freely as Mrs. Jones tried to make sense of the situation, chasing after Alex.

"Alex, please tell me what happened. I'll make sure she understands," Mrs. Jones pleaded desperately, her voice tinged with worry.

Mrs. Jones had cared for Alex like a mother since his birth, her concern deep and maternal.

"She didn't even know what she did wrong," Alex muttered cryptically, leaving Mrs. Jones stunned by his words.

"What do you mean?" Mrs. Jones asked, but Alex remained silent as he strode swiftly towards the mansion's exit. Mrs. Jones hurried to catch up, her steps quickening to match his long strides.

"The children need a new nanny," she ventured, trying to change the subject to something she hoped might calm him.

"Deal with it. It's of no concern to me," Alex replied brusquely, his face already showing signs of irritation.

"Please, when will you visit them? They need you," Mrs. Jones implored, her voice tinged with sadness.

"Enough!" Alex snapped, his tone cutting through the air like a knife. "Don't push me, and never mention them again," he warned sharply, heading towards the garage. Sam, his loyal driver, opened the car door, and Alex climbed in without another word. The car pulled away from the mansion, leaving Mrs. Jones standing there, her heart heavy with concern for Alex and the children.

Chapter 2 THE CRAZY ENCOUNTER

**On Set**

"Keep running, run! Faster!" the director shouted at Olivia, who was already exhausted from three hours of continuous running. Each demand seemed to cut deeper.

"Who hired this good-for-nothing extra? Out! Get her out!" the director's voice echoed through the set.

"Everyone, take a break! We need another extra!" he bellowed, dismissing Olivia and the chaos she felt inside.

Olivia collapsed to the ground, her body drenched in sweat, feeling the weight of her role as an extra-always treated as expendable while the stars were pampered.

A man approached her, holding out an envelope. She took it, her disappointment palpable even before she opened it. The contents were far less than agreed upon.

"You're done for today," the man said coldly, expecting compliance.

"You should have done better," he added callously before walking away. Olivia stood up, brushing the sand off her clothes, the sting of injustice burning in her chest.

"Why is it always like this?" she muttered, counting the meager amount in the envelope, her frustration growing.

"Sir!" Olivia called after the man, who ignored her. Frustrated, she hurried after him.

"What now? Just leave quietly," he snapped dismissively as she caught up.

"Quietly? Because I'm just an extra?" Olivia scoffed bitterly. "My paycheck isn't right. This isn't what we agreed upon. I did my job, got hurt, and you're still shorting me. I'll sue you for this!" Her voice rang with defiance, unsettling the assistant director.

"Give me my remaining balance now, unless you want trouble," Olivia demanded firmly.

"What's going on here?" the director interjected, approaching with a furrowed brow. The assistant director hesitated, unsure how to respond.

"She's asking for her full payment. Should I?" he asked nervously.

"Why pay her more when we can find another extra?" the director replied dismissively, turning his disdainful gaze to Olivia.

"You've got no shame calling yourself an actor. You couldn't even handle a simple role. You're no actress-just leave," he sneered, his words a crushing blow to Olivia's already bruised pride.

"You're angry? Leave now. You're not needed," he spat, his tone cutting through Olivia like a knife.

"Security, get this woman off the set!" the director commanded, his anger evident.

The security guards wasted no time, swiftly escorting Olivia away. She struggled against their firm grip, but they were resolute.

"Let go of me! I'll sue you all! This production will fail because of you!" Olivia shouted, her voice cracking with frustration.

They released her abruptly, causing her to fall to the ground in pain. She grimaced, checking her leg for bruises from the forceful grip of the guards.

"You're all heartless!" Olivia yelled, her voice filled with anger and desperation.

Seeing a stone nearby, she grabbed it, intending to lash out at the guards. But her aim faltered, and the stone struck a passing car-a sleek, expensive vehicle that belonged to someone important.

Her eyes widened in horror as she realized the gravity of her mistake. Panic gripped her as she ducked into a corner, hoping to evade notice.

"Who did that?" a man's voice demanded angrily as he emerged from the car, scanning the area. Olivia froze, her heart racing.

She had taken on extra roles to pay for her mother's medical bills. If caught, how would she manage?

The man continued searching, and Olivia spotted a dog approaching, its intent unclear. Fear surged through her; she had a deep-seated fear of dogs since a childhood bite.

"Hey! Stop!" the man yelled, chasing after Olivia, who sprinted away from both the dog and the enraged man.

Meanwhile, Alex was impatiently waiting outside his car, wondering where his absent driver had gone.

"Sam, where are you now?" he muttered irritably, opening the car door.

As Olivia ran, she spotted Alex and instinctively sought refuge with him, clinging to him in desperation.

"What are you doing? Get off me!" Alex snapped, trying to shake her off.

"Please, help me! The dog-it's going to bite me!" Olivia pleaded, trembling with fear as she clung to him tightly.

With a sigh, Alex turned to confront the dog, which retreated at his approach.

"Let go of me now," Alex ordered coldly, but Olivia remained glued to him, still trembling.

"It's gone," she whispered, finally releasing her grip. Alex frowned, bewildered by the strange turn of events.

"I caught her. She's the one who threw the stone," Sam reported breathlessly, and Olivia heard every word, her heart sinking further.

"Oh no, I'm caught. I can't afford this," Olivia thought frantically, her mind racing.

"I need to go. Thank you for scaring the dog," Olivia said hastily, bowing awkwardly to Alex, who watched her with a mixture of confusion and annoyance.

As Olivia turned to leave, the sound of approaching police sirens froze her in her tracks.

"Why aren't you leaving? You fraud!" Alex demanded sharply, his patience wearing thin.

"I can't let them catch me," Olivia murmured, panic rising anew.

Without another thought, she kicked off her shoes and sprinted away, hoping desperately to evade capture.

"Get her, Sam! Now!" Alex ordered, watching as Olivia disappeared into the distance, leaving behind a whirlwind of chaos.

Sam, a middle-sized man, sprinted after Olivia, but her desperation fueled her speed, leaving Sam struggling to keep pace.

As Olivia dashed through the maze of production equipment, her heart raced with adrenaline. She could feel Alexander's anger burning behind her, intensifying her fear of the consequences.

Sam abruptly halted in exhaustion, and Alexander rushed toward him, gripping his shirt harshly.

"Why did you let her get away? You'll pay for this damage," Alexander seethed, releasing Sam abruptly and storming off, his every step echoing anger and frustration.

"Who is that girl? If I catch her, she's going to pay!" Alex shouted furiously, his voice cracking with irritation.

Chapter 3 YOU'RE EVIL!!

Olivia continued running until her legs gave out, her breath ragged and labored as she collapsed against a nearby wall.

"Oh my! Thank God I escaped. Thank you, God," Olivia muttered fervently, her relief mingled with lingering fear. However, a sharp pain shot through her leg, reminding her of the physical toll of her desperate flight.

"Ouch! My leg," she groaned, wincing as she gingerly massaged her throbbing calf, beads of sweat mingling with tears of pain on her flushed face.

Sitting down, Olivia carefully puts on her shoes, her fingers trembling with fatigue and anxiety. As she checked her bag, her frantic search only deepened her growing panic. With each item she pulled out, her heart sank further.

"Where is my money? Oh no! I could have used that to buy food for my sister. What do I do now?" Olivia's voice cracked with despair, her hands shaking as she searched desperately for any sign of the missing funds.

Then, a flicker of memory sparked in her mind: "What if I dropped the money while running? I have to go back," Olivia thought, her resolve hardening as she hastily packed her belongings and retraced her steps back to the shooting location.

---

Olivia returned to the set, her heart pounding with a mixture of hope and trepidation. She scanned the area with cautious optimism, relieved to find the car gone, providing a brief window of opportunity for her search.

Her eyes widened with relief as she spotted a white envelope tucked beneath a piece of equipment.

"My money!" Olivia exclaimed softly, her voice choked with emotion as she cautiously approached the envelope. However, when she attempted to retrieve it, her fingers encountered unexpected resistance.

"Why is it so hard?" Olivia's brow furrowed in confusion and frustration, her efforts becoming more frantic as she struggled to dislodge the stubborn envelope.

"I knew you'd come back. Officers, that's her! Arrest her!" Sam's voice shattered the fragile calm, and Olivia froze in terror, her body tensing with shock and disbelief.

"What the heck?" Her breath caught in her throat, a surge of panic overwhelming her senses as she stared helplessly at the approaching police officers.

"Ma'am, you need to come with us to the station," the police officers announced sternly, their words a grim confirmation of her worst fears. Olivia felt her world closing in, trapped with nowhere to run.

"Shit!" The curse escaped her lips in a whispered plea for salvation, her eyes blazing with anger as she shot a fierce glare at Sam, who stood smugly in the background.

"Take her away," Sam commanded triumphantly, his satisfaction evident in the smug twist of his lips. "I won't have to pay for damages now," he added callously, his voice thick with vindictive pleasure.

---

Thinking quickly, Olivia summoned her last reserves of courage and desperation. She collapsed to the ground, her body trembling with a mixture of pain and feigned vulnerability as she crawled towards Sam, her every movement a desperate plea for mercy.

"Please forgive me, sir. I didn't mean to do it. I was falling, and I grabbed a stone for balance. I didn't know it would hit the car. Today has been so rough, and I need to visit the hospital," Olivia's voice quivered with raw emotion, tears streaming down her dirt-streaked cheeks.

"And my mother is sick and needs surgery. I need a lot of money, and if I go to jail, I won't be able to pay you back. Please, sir, have mercy," Olivia's desperate plea echoed in the air, her words a fragile lifeline cast into the heartless abyss of Sam's indifference.

And then, a miracle-tears welled in Sam's eyes, his hardened demeanor softening as Olivia's words found their mark.

"I did it!" Olivia's heart soared with a rush of adrenaline and relief as she watched Sam's resolve crumble before her eyes. Her gambit had paid off-she had bought herself a precious moment of reprieve.

"Officers, you can let her go," Sam's voice wavered slightly, the weight of Olivia's plight settling heavily on his conscience as he issued his command.

"He's so gullible. What a catch," Olivia's inner voice mocked with bitter irony, a fleeting smirk of triumph gracing her features as she rose slowly to her feet, a free woman once more.

"Don't worry; I'll pay for your mom's surgery," Sam's promise lingered in the air, a fragile thread of hope that Olivia clung to with desperate gratitude.

"Thank you so much, sir. Can I give you my account number?" Olivia's voice trembled with gratitude and relief, her eyes shining with unshed tears of gratitude.

"Um..." Sam hesitated, caught off guard by Olivia's unexpected show of vulnerability. His uncertainty hung palpably in the air, a tentative bridge between compassion and caution.

"Leave now, Sam. I'll handle this," Alexander's stern voice shattered the fragile peace, his imposing figure casting a long shadow over the scene as he intervened.

"What's your problem? Are you nuts?" Olivia's voice cracked with frustration and disbelief, her tears flowing freely as she confronted Alexander's callous indifference.

"Your tears don't move me. I don't care about people like you," Alexander retorted coldly, his words a brutal dismissal that cut deep into Olivia's wounded heart.

"I need that money, even if I have to swallow my pride," Olivia's resolve hardened into steel, her voice shaking with a potent mix of anger and determination as she confronted Alexander head-on.

"Please, sir," Olivia's plea echoed through the air, her every word a fervent prayer for redemption as she dropped to her knees in a final act of desperate defiance.

Alexander scoffed, his contemptuous laughter ringing in the air like a cruel echo of her pain.

"You fool. I hate beggars. I won't let him give you a penny," Alexander's voice dripped with disdain, his cold indifference a bitter reminder of Olivia's place in the harsh pecking order of the world.

"You're evil!" Olivia's cry tore through the silence, her anguish and frustration boiling over as she unleashed the full force of her pent-up emotions.

"I hear that a lot," Alexander's response was dismissive, his gaze shifting away as if Olivia's presence was beneath his notice.
