NUMEN OF WEALTH

Justin a man well respected among his peers, known for his discipline, focus and great determination to attain his dreams and aspirations. Like most things we desperately want the quest for success continues to elude his grasp.

Justin went to the construction site where he works late that morning and met his boss waiting to penalize whoever came late to work. On arrival he saw him and greeted Engineer Farouq the new supervisor.

"Good morning sir, he continued by saying so sorry I'm late. Traffic and unforseen occurrence lead to me been late. Please pardon me it won't happen again." In reply his boss said "follow me to my office immediately. I have a pending issue with you that needs to be resolved."

At once Justin became more apprehensive he was so scared and began thinking of all possibilities as to why he was summoned including been fired from a job his life sorely depends on. On getting to his office Engineer Farouq who is from Iraq said to him "come in and shut the door. Why are you late to work? knowing fully well the task at hand." Unknown to Justin that this whole managerial changes was staged because the owner of the company was threatened to replace the previous supervisor with Engineer Farouq otherwise he will be killed. Engineer Farouq who is also called The engineer was sent by his cartel to come for Justin. Why they sent for Justin to be kidnapped remains to be seen.

This man works in a construction site. Engineer Farouq's cartel are very ruthless and smuggle drugs all over the city, various destination in Europe, selected destination in Asia where Farouq who is also called The Engineer spearheads. Justin dying of curiosity said to his boss "Sir what is it that made you summoned me?" Today is full of various activities I need to get back to work quickly.

Engineer Farouq replied "that's good to know, yet you came late". Before Justin could say anything else the engineer brought out a gun and said "not another word lets go for a ride." He blindfolded him and they left. None of Justin's colleague at the construction site knew his whereabout and he is very pivotal, without him all activities were paralyzes and the job was put on hold until he returns back to work or pending when they find an alternative. Days have passed still no sign of Justin.

Anxiety in the air. Justin's wife can't find her husband for days no trace of him anywhere. The search for him was too difficult because she is a nursing mother with a five year old child as well. They have two kids. Then Justin's wife Lina remembered the misunderstanding he had with his friend, a colleague of his at the construction site. She quickly remembered how his friend went as far as threatening Justin and telling him, ''is like you don't like this job right? Don't think you are the boss around here. I started working here before you were employed.'' Lina reported the issue to the police about his missing husband and told them her prime suspect is Greg. Later that day Greg was arrested.

One of the investigating officer asked, "Greg! Greg!! You think you are hard not to crack right? Tell us where you are hiding Justin otherwise you won't like what will hit you next." Greg replied. "I have no idea where he is. Yes we had an argument and I went overboard but that's it. I value my friendship with Justin and I can never do anything to hurt him. I am also worried about him as well." The police replied "you are worried right? If what you are telling me is true why did you not report the case days ago even before his wife did? Knowing fully well that she is a nursing mother and it will be difficult for her to cope." Greg was thrown back in the cell. You are not ready to cooperate, when we torture you, the truth will come out.

All effort to find the whereabout of Justin was futile the police department had all hands on deck to make sure he is found. Still no clue. He has been kidnapped by a professional who knows how well to cover his track. Justin was kept in a warehouse where drugs are been smuggled in and out. A place full of armed men where even the thoughts of trying to escape won't come through your mind. He began thinking of his family and started to ask himself questions 'so is this how my dreams will fade away? My family, my two kids does that mean I will never see them again? Because this people who kept me here has a code of eliminating anyone who has seen their faces. God I need your help make a way for me. I can't do this on my own. Ever since I was brought here, I have not seen Engineer Farouq. He has gone dark. All I see are armed men with guns who you can't even request anything from. "What do I do?" He said to himself in frustration.

Engineer Farouq has travelled to Belgrade to meet his boss a man who has live in the shadows for over twenty nine years. He has been on the FBI most wanted listed for decades but no one knew him or what he looks like.

"Why are you here he asked The engineer?" In reply he said "the task you asked me to execute is complete I just came to tell you the good news and also to know what's next."

The Mafia replied "shut up you fool there is no such thing as good news just yet. You successfully kidnapped him yes, what about the reason behind the kidnapped? Until that reason is fulfilled there is nothing to celebrate and don't you ever come to me with this kind of stories unless you have something vital to tell me. He continued by saying, do you know why until today I keep on living in the shadows? The authorities have used their best possible Intel to track me down but they all failed? That is because I'm the greatest of all time in the Mafia's world." Now leave my presence immediately. You will be contacted as soon as possible regarding your next task when it comes to Justin.

The search for Justin continues and everyone that works for ANTTOP CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, where been interrogated.

No one could spot Justin leaving with The Engineer at the construction site that morning.

Agent Tim shouted from outside "Greg come out you are wanted for questioning."

Greg came out frustrated and confused because no one would believe him especially after Justin's wife told the officers that he is the prime suspect and he admitted threatening him.

Agent Tim asked Greg "when last did you see Justin?"

Greg replied "that morning before he went missing. I saw him talking to our new supervisor, so I walked straight into the construction site to continue our work because that day was full of task that can't wait."

In response Agent Tim said "you are still not ready to confess right?"

Greg said "that is all I know. I can't do this anymore. I'm going crazy, I need a lawyer I can't be kept in custody for a crime I did not commit." "We never saw the engineer and Justin after that morning he continued."

"If what I'm been accused of is true why will I also want to kidnap my supervisor. Please I'm done answering your questions. I have been calm for days now, you all denied me access to see my family ever since I was detained. I will no longer answer any questions until I see my lawyer."

The Mafia sent his men to frame ANTTOP CONSTRUCTION COMPANY for the disappearance of The Engineer.

Engineer Farouq was all over the news as a missing person so that it won't bleed back to the cartel as they try all possible means to cover every detail concerning the abduction of Justin.

Engineer Farouq was shocked when he saw the news that he is a missing person. Immediately, he looked for a way to contact the Mafia but to no avail. "The boss will speak to you whenever he wants to and he told us to warn you that you must remain a missing person and should not be found otherwise you are a dead man one of his men said"

The Engineer knows he is in trouble. Any wrong move will cost him his life. He changed his dress code, appearance, everything about him changed because if he allows himself to be found, the Mafia have people everywhere and he knows the consequences of that.

Lina can no longer control her emotions and the police told her that Greg can't be interrogated anymore because he requested for a lawyer and it's his right too and he told Justin's wife that as things stands, we can't detain him for much time anymore because there is no concrete evidence against him.

She requested to speak with Greg herself but at first Greg ignored speaking with her and reiterated that he won't speak with anyone until his lawyer comes.

Agent Tim ordered him to come out of the cell and speak with Lina Justin's wife otherwise hell will break lose.

Greg finally came out and saw Lina. He felt pity for her but did not show it. "What do you want?" Greg asked.

Lina replied "The truth." Greg answered by saying "of all the people in the world, you are the last person I expected to act this way. Despite all what we have been through together Justin and I? Gosh I'm just so disappointed."

Lina at this point started to remember the good old days and felt she must have crossed the line by accusing Greg. Then she said to Greg "prove to me that you have nothing to do with this."

Greg replied. "You should know me by now I might have said things that might make you think I am behind your husband's abduction but I'm not. I love Justin as a brother and will never put him in arms way."

"What are we going to do now?" Lina said "I'm losing my mind. If you are not responsible for this, then help me find him."

Greg felt obliged to find his missing friend "he now told Lina to contact his lawyer so that he can be released immediately."

Lina apologised to him and asked. "Greg will you forgive me?" In reply Greg said "of course. It wasn't entirely your fault. You have every reason to believe I was responsible. So no hard feelings." "What is important now is that we find your husband and my best friend Justin everything else can wait."

Lina contacted Greg's lawyer. All the paperwork's were signed, documented and all charges were withdrawn. Greg was released and immediately the search for Justin continued. Lina and Greg believed the police were not doing enough to get Justin back.

Greg reunited with his family but Greg's wife was not happy about the whole incident and wanted revenge. She wanted to secretly plot a decoy so as for Justin's wife to pay for what she did to her husband even after Greg begged her to forget everything and pleaded with her to support Justin's wife during this hard time they are passing through.

The police went back to the construction site that has been closed for days due to Justin's disappearance and more so started digging deep to find out what happened to The Engineer. To their surprise they saw something strange. When Engineer Farouq was trying to blindfold Justin before they left the office, he forgot to disconnect the CCTV footage. So that's how the police found out that it was The Engineer who kidnapped Justin.

When the report got to the station, news travel fast as they say. The Mafia's contact at the station updated him and immediately they were on the hurt for Engineer Farouq before the police gets to him first, so as to cover their tracks much less revealing the identity of a man who has been on the FBI's most wanted list for years.

The Mafia who ran the TOPVIEW CARTEL sent his men to hurt down The Engineer. To make matters worse they had plans to invade a high profiled politician's home that week but they had to call it off so as not to give out themselves on a silver platter to the authorities much less letting Engineer Farouq have a clue as to what they intend doing to him.

Greg got married to Alisa eight years before he started working at the construction site. Most times when at work he always feels sad and depressed. Sometimes he even loses concentration.

The sensation is not good at all and most times Justin always notice this at work. So one day the previous engineer who supervises them back then, told everyone to bring a presentation so as to get more update on their next project. On this said date, Greg came to work ten minutes late frustrated and looking like a shadow of his formal self. Justin who has been observing Greg for a while walked straight to him and asked. "What is going on? You don't look good at all. Today is our presentation, you have to leave everything that happened at home behind and remain focused. Technically our job depends on this presentation." In reply Greg said. "I'm dying slowly, my life is shambolic. If this is what marriage is all about, no one will venture into it."

Justin said to him. "Relax, when we are done with work we will go somewhere and talk. Cheer up, we need to remain focused today. Our supervisor is too rigid. We can't afford to mess things up." "Thanks a lot you have made my day". Greg replied.

Justin and Greg did their presentation wholesomely and the visiting party presented both of them an award for their excellent display and this earn them a promotion and more earnings to their names.

"This calls for celebration Greg said to Justin." "Yes of course." Justin replied. "Let us go to that eatery in town to celebrate after wish you tell me what happened at home this morning that made you look that way."

They got there, placed their orders and were served. After eating, they rest a liitle before Greg said. "My good friend I'm dying slowly because of my wife. She naggs, complain every single minute we are together. She insults me at every opportunity. If this is what marriage is all about I won't have gotten involved." Justin in response said to him. "That's not true. Marriage is sweet when you meet the right person and both of you understands each other. Just try and be patient with her. Talk things through even if at first she is not buying it, keep on trying to see if she will change for the better."

"I will keep on trying but I doubt it will work. After all these years, I have sacrificed everything just to make her confortable but to no avail. I don't know what else she wants from me? If not for our kids I would have filed for a divorce a long time ago. I just don't want them growing up in a broken home." Justin replied by saying, "exactly please keep trying everything will be fine."

They both left the eatery and went home. Greg to his surprise got locked outside by his wife. "You can't come in Alisa said. Go back to where you are coming from. Do you think I don't know? I sense it everyday but today you just showed your true person." He never allowed Greg to explain himself as to why he came home late.

Greg had to leave and decided to go to his cousin's place to sleep. That night, on his way he was involved in an accident and was taken to the hospital. The accident almost cost Greg his life. It was the loan Justin took from a lending firm that saved his life. So that's what made Justin and Greg to be very close. They were more like brothers after that incident. So one day Justin took his friend to meet with is family for dinner and that was how Justin's wife knew about Greg.

Most times especially during weekends, Greg always pleads with Justin to let his kids stay with his wife so that they can learn new things and be away from their bitter mother. At first it did not go down well with Justin because he felt allowing that to happen might put his family in harms way, considering how Greg's wife behaves. But on a second thought he agreed.

Whenever Greg wants to take the kids out to meet Justin's wife, he tells his wife that he wants to take the kids to visit his cousin just to avoid trouble. And for the wife not to accuse him of infidelity. This continued until one day greg's wife Alisa trailed his husband to where he do take the kids to in other to confirm if he is actually telling the truth.

So that day she got prepared and told her husband she is going to the market to buy foodstuffs. Unknown to Greg that it was a trap. She left and stayed where no one could see her pending when Greg will take the kids out. That was how she found out where Greg always takes the kids to every time he tells her they want to visit their cousin.

It was an amusement park. A place where their kids often likes to go because of what they experience there. At once Alisa came out of hiding and called Greg. "Oh you thought I won't know right? The truth is finally out. I knew it. I sensed something was off because you don't usually visit your cousin this often." Immediately Greg started 'apologising to her not to make a scene. "I will explain everything later when we get home." Explain? "What do you take me for, A fool? You must tell me who this mistress is. The woman you always visit using our kids as a decoy.

"Excuse me" Justin's wife replied angrily. "Is she your wife? Now I understand." Alisa replied "understand what? So you have been telling my story to the world right? You will meet me at home." She went straight to Justin's wife and slap her. Both of them started exchanging words before the security guards came to stop them.

This almost caused problems between Justin and his wife but they both reconciled because of how much they cared and loved each other.
