My superhuman boyfriend

Am about to take the most stupid but logical step in my life.

Most girls might see this as crazy but I am crazy anyway. Who has ever heard of a girl proposing to her boyfriend but it's not my fault cos he's shy and I understand that

I know he won't reject me so I will do this no matter what.

I got to our date just a few minutes late and I decided to make things a bit interesting. I planned for the most romantic dinner table with flowers and a ring in the middle but the place will be dark until we get there.

I didn't think that he could ever reject me so I invited some of my fans FYI am an actress 'yeah I know am famous' so when we got there and he saw the ring I decided to make things interesting so I held my hand out for him

"John, will you marry me" I said hoping to see happiness in his eyes but what I saw tore me down

"Look Mary, I really loved you alot no doubt-"

"Loved" I said feeling like I just took a stab in the heart 💘

"Yes, we have been friends from childhood and we have always understood each other but I hope you understand that am not interested in marrying you" he said trying to explain himself

"Um forget about it" I said remembering that my fans are watching and I would be the number one topic for tommorow and I'll be nicknamed the rejected actress OMG

"No I have to tell you.... please can we just be friends....an not interested in marrying you"

"Just stop"I said more loudly this time

"Lo-" he said and stopped when he saw a flashlight meaning a fan just took a picture of us then he clapped his hands twice and the lights came back

"Am so sorry, I didn't know" he said trying to apologize but I left with tears in my eyes threagthing to fall

I don't know how but I met myself at the roof top of the hotel then I started remembering everything that has been happening to me since I turned 26

I never had a boyfriend till I turned twenty and since then my life has been filled with a lot of heartbreaks 💔

First from my first boyfriend Emmanuel....he left me for my course mate Tracy but he gave me a foolish excuse that his mom bethrothed him to some girl when he was young

My second boyfriend ikechukwu gave me high hopes but he left me because I refuse to kiss my boyfriend's until the relationship reaches 6 months which by the way never happens

My third boyfriend John who just broke my heart again just gave me the most embarrassing break up ever

He is my childhood friend and my best friend plus he never refuses me. He has always loved me and now this is my reward for loving him

And now I have no other choice... since am destined to live alone I'll die alone

So I closed my eyes and-

I closed my eyes fully prepared to die 'goodbye cruel world' I said and felt the wind blow on me then as I moved my left leg a bit forward

"Are you going to really jump this time"

"Aah!" I screamed and shifted back quickly "hey cleaner guy why would you scare me like that don't you know who I am I am the popular actress the one and only Mary Douglas how could you do that what if I fell" I said pridefully

"Hmph an actress that never has a relationship last for more than 3 months.... you always come here after every break up and still you are alive...if you really want to die just do it already.. am tired of always having to clean up your foot messes" he said

"And who says I come here to commit suicide...I only come to think...I mean who do you think I am....do you think am weak...ha!" I retorted and left

"Okay miss strong but please don't come here to think about dying again" the old man said

"You haven't even had your first kiss yet you want to die" he said softly but I heard him

"I will give my first kiss to a guy that deserves me" I retorted angrily

"When you turn 30?" He said and I turned to leave "Then when will you get married or get laid" he asked

"Don't you think you are too old to be talking about this?" I asked angrily

"Don't mind me, am just an old cleaner saying his mind" he said and continued his work then I left

Somewhere on a main road near the hotel

"Why do we have to carry the corpse to the boss" the first man said angrily

"Yeah I wanted to stay home but we have to bring the dormant body, if not we are dead meat" the second man said

"Oh well the sooner we get there the better

Mary's POV

I left the hotel angry about two things first John broke up with me and humiliated me without even knowing it and now it's all over the news 'i got myself looking so pretty for nothing' i said in anger then entered my car and drove at a deadly fast speed but that doesn't matter because I'd rather die than face my second anger and that is to meet my mom

It's not that I don't love her but she will make fun of me, she never supported me in any way including my choice of men

"I can't believe this fuck you, fuck you John" I said as I looked at the post about me on social media

Then when I looked up I ran into a bus and my car turned upside down but someone whoever it was, was able to bring me out

'i thought today would be my engagement day not my death day' I said in my mind as I looked up I was slowly loosing conciousness and everything looked shallow but I know I saw a man.....a wierd looking man dressed like he's from the 70s.... well I didn't have to think about that for long since I lost conciousness

I woke up the next morning in a hospital bed

"Ow what the hell happened last night" I said to myself

" Well, miss you had a dangerous accident last night, you could have lost your life, only God knows how you were able to survive" she said and I remembered what happened last night then

"Nurse has my mom come to visit" I asked

"no" ' oh thank goodness' I said in my mind

"When she comes tell her I haven't woken up yet and I might die" I said anxiously

"But ma'am"

"Don't question me just do it please" I said " now go go go" I said while using my hands to show her directions

"Mom is definitely on her way I better put on the death make up.....it's time to put my acting skills into good use" I said and tightened my fist to show my fighting spirit

Writer's POV

Later on, Mary's mom came in to see her daughter with a smile on her face

"Mary, do you think you can fool me with that make up..... you even did it wrong.....hmm....." She said walking closer but Mary didn't move

"No no no no no even the devil doesn't want you so he refused to let you die" she said and Mary finally opened her eyes in anger

" Mom"

" Don't mom me.... you are 21 today and you haven't even had your first kiss"

"Well my first kiss will go to a man that deserves me and you will see" she said angrily

"Whatever, you said the same thing last year, well I came to see if the angel of death finally accepted you" she said with a smile and Mary pouted her lips

"Well I and your father are going out.....get well soon... you have to pay for allot of things in your apartment and forget about that well you are paying to dig at Africa because I won't let you" she said and stood up to leave

" It's not your money" Mary retorted and she just left smiling

At midnight

Mary woke up feeling hungry but she didn't like the hospital food and sneaked out

Mary's POV

'Just a little further away.....yes am finally out..... maybe I should just travel out of this country that way mom won't find me' I thought

But then

"Aaaaaaaaaah.....fuck why would there be a ditch near a hospital" I said and started calling for help

Then I saw someone sitting in a tree, a wierd looking guy just like the guy I saw when I lost conciousness

" Please whoever you are please help me" I said shouting

" Why did you sneak out of the hospital" he said

' how does that affect you dummy.....oh no wait what if he.....'

"Sir I am the famous actress Mary Douglas if you get me out of here I will pay you"

"I don't want money" he answered

"Okay an autograph, my credit card anything please help me"I said fake crying so he could help me
