-Cine's POV-
I looked outside and Nathan was gone. He must have left before he saw me. I just sighed.
"See you around!" he said to me and suddenly left
"What the f*ck!" I just wanted to leave
I didn't even see his face. I only know his voice. Maybe we'll meet again. See you around. I'm excited that I thought we'd meet
When I came out of this room, I didn't see him anymore. I just went back to our classroom.
"Why didn't you immediately follow us?" Krystal asked me
Chapter 2: Unexpected Encounters
As the murmurs of confusion filled the cafeteria, my curiosity piqued. Who were the council, and why were they causing such a stir? I glanced at my friends, noticing their equally puzzled expressions.
"Who are they?" I whispered to May, hoping she might have some insight.
May shook her head, her brow furrowed in uncertainty. "I'm not sure. Maybe they're here for some announcement or event?"
Before we could speculate further, a hush fell over the cafeteria as a group of students dressed in formal attire entered. They exuded an air of authority, commanding attention with each step they took.
"They're from the Student Council," Yna whispered, her eyes widening in realization.
The Student Council! Suddenly, everything clicked into place. These were the student representatives tasked with organizing events, addressing concerns, and upholding order within the school.
As the Student Council members approached, I noticed one of them-a tall figure with confident strides and a determined expression. It was none other than Alex, the council president known for his charisma and leadership skills.
"Attention, students!" Alex's voice echoed through the cafeteria, cutting through the murmurs and chatter. "We have an important announcement to make."
The cafeteria fell silent as all eyes turned towards the council members, anticipation hanging in the air like a tangible presence.
"We're pleased to announce the upcoming Spring Festival," Alex continued, his voice projecting with enthusiasm. "It will be a week-long celebration filled with various activities, performances, and competitions."
Excitement rippled through the crowd at the mention of the festival. The Spring Festival was always a highlight of the school year, a time when students came together to showcase their talents and create lasting memories.
"In addition," Alex added, his gaze sweeping across the cafeteria, "we're introducing a new initiative-an outdoor dining area for students to enjoy their meals during lunch hours."
A collective gasp of surprise and delight echoed through the room. Outdoor dining? It was a revolutionary idea that promised to change the way students experienced lunchtime.
As the Student Council members concluded their announcement and began to depart, I exchanged excited glances with my friends. The prospect of outdoor dining and the upcoming Spring Festival filled us with anticipation and excitement for the weeks ahead.
As we left the cafeteria, the buzz of conversation and excitement followed us, signaling the beginning of a new chapter filled with adventure, camaraderie, and unexpected encounters.
Eager to discuss the exciting news of the Spring Festival and the prospect of outdoor dining, my friends and I made our way to our next class, our minds buzzing with anticipation. However, our excitement was short-lived as we encountered an unexpected obstacle.
As we entered the classroom, we were met with an unusual sight. The desks were arranged in a different configuration, and at the front of the room stood our teacher, Ms. Rodriguez, wearing a solemn expression.
"Please take your seats, everyone," Ms. Rodriguez said, her voice somber.
Confused, we obeyed, exchanging puzzled glances as we settled into our chairs. Something was amiss, and it didn't take long for Ms. Rodriguez to address the elephant in the room.
"I regret to inform you all that due to unforeseen circumstances, the Spring Festival will be postponed until further notice," she announced, her words hanging heavily in the air.
A collective sigh of disappointment swept through the classroom, mingled with murmurs of confusion and concern. The news was met with disbelief and disappointment, as the Spring Festival was a highly anticipated event that brought joy and excitement to the entire school community.
"What happened?" someone dared to ask, voicing the question that lingered on everyone's minds.
Ms. Rodriguez hesitated, her expression troubled. "There has been a logistical issue with securing the venue for the festival. The Student Council is working diligently to resolve the issue, but for now, we must be patient and understanding."
The disappointment in the room was palpable as the reality of the situation sunk in. The Spring Festival, which had promised to be a highlight of the school year, was now shrouded in uncertainty.
As the class continued, the atmosphere remained subdued, overshadowed by the disappointment of the festival's postponement. Despite our best efforts to focus on the lesson at hand, our minds kept drifting back to the excitement and anticipation that had been abruptly halted.
After class, my friends and I gathered outside the classroom, our expressions reflecting a mixture of disappointment and frustration.
"This is such a bummer," Yna exclaimed, echoing the sentiment shared by all of us.
"I was really looking forward to the festival," Krystal added, her disappointment evident in her voice.
"We'll just have to make the best of it," May said, trying to inject some optimism into the conversation. "Maybe the Student Council will come up with a solution soon."
With a shared nod of determination, we agreed to remain hopeful and supportive, knowing that despite the setback, the spirit of the Spring Festival would endure. As we parted ways, our thoughts turned to the challenges ahead and the resilience required to overcome them, knowing that together, we would navigate the unforeseen obstacles that lay ahead.
"I just went to the bathroom for a while!" I lied to them
"You sure?" May asked me seriously while examining my whole body
"W-why w-would I lie?" I stammered to them
"Why are you stuttering?" Yna asked
"Why are you asking questions?" I pretended to be annoyed and said to them
"Why are you sensitive?" May asked with a smile
"It's n-nothing!" I said and sat down in my chair
Meet my three best friends. Really g*g* no matter what is asked. It's hard for me to tell what happened earlier, right?
"Class dismissed!" said our teacher
"Goodbye ma'am!" we shouted
Thank you, our class is over this morning. I just put my things away.
"Let's go to the cafeteria!" Yna said
"Yeah I'm also hungry!" replied May
"Me too!" Krystal said while putting away my things
I was the first to walk out of the classroom earlier. I'm already hungry. I haven't eaten properly before.
"Cine, wait there!" I heard them shout May
"Faster I'm hungry!" I called them
Maybe we won't be able to sit in the cafeteria because they are slow to move.
"You're hungry!" Yna said laughing
When we got to the cafeteria, I was right in my suspicion that there would be nowhere for us to sit.
"Did I already say that?" I complained
"It's been a while since you've been there!" said May
"It took you so long to act!" Yna also complained
"Where are we going to eat now?" Krystal asked while looking at the tables
"Let's eat outside!" I told them
"It's a good idea but it's still class hours we're not allowed to go out now!" explained May
Why does the school have such rules? We are really hungry. We are just standing here outside the cafeteria.
We were about to leave when the students here started shouting.
"The council's here!"
"What are they doing here?"
"It's impossible!"
I heard people whispering here. Hmmm council? Who is that?
-Cine's POV-
I looked at the men approaching us now. Why are all the council students here? I wonder to myself?
"What are they doing here?" Yna asked in surprise because those people don't come out very much
"Maybe they have something to do outside!" said May
I looked at the leading man among them because I seem to be familiar with his stance.
"Done staring at me?" I was surprised when someone suddenly spoke in front of me
I looked at my companions and they gave me a surprised look.
"W-what a-are y-you s-saying?" I stammered to him, I don't know but his aura is scary
"Nevermind!" he said pulling my hand
I was surprised by what he did so I reached out my hand but he held it tightly. What's wrong with this man? I just want to eat!
"Why are you pulling me?" I yelled at him in annoyance, I heard that the people here in the cafeteria gasped.
"You don't really know who I am?" he asked me seriously
"Of course I know you Mr. President!" I answered him
"It's good to hear that but why are you not scared?" he asked me while looking at me in my eyes
I'm not afraid, I'm almost shaking here but I'm just holding it back.
"Why should I be afraid of you?" I pretended to ask him
He smiled at my answer and looked behind me. I was surprised that we were now surrounded by his companions.
"Go with us!" he told me and pulled me
"Don't force me to carry you!" he whispered in my ear
I suddenly became quiet because maybe he will believe what he said, it's hard that the students here still look down on us four girls.
"Follow me!" shouted the man holding May's hand
Where are they going to take us? I'm really hungry! I hope there's food where we're going.
As I glanced around the room, I noticed the intricate decorations adorning the walls and the elegant table setting before us. It was clear that this was no ordinary office space.
"Why are we here?" I finally questioned, breaking the silence that hung heavily in the air.
The man who had brought us here exchanged a knowing look with the one who appeared to be in charge. Their expressions hinted at a shared secret, leaving me feeling increasingly perplexed.
Before anyone could respond, a voice boomed from the head of the table. "Welcome, honored guests," it declared, drawing our attention to the figure seated there.
It was none other than the President himself, looking regal in his attire. My heart raced as I realized the gravity of the situation. What could the leader of our nation possibly want with us?
"Please, join me," the President gestured towards the empty seats at the table.
With a mixture of apprehension and curiosity, we took our seats, still unsure of what was to come. The atmosphere crackled with tension as the President studied each of us in turn, his gaze lingering on me for a moment longer than the others.
Finally, he spoke, his voice commanding yet oddly soothing. "I have brought you here today because I believe you possess unique qualities that can help our country in its time of need."
I exchanged a bewildered glance with my friends, struggling to comprehend what was happening. What kind of mission could the President possibly have in mind for us?
But before we could voice our questions, the President leaned forward, a gleam of determination in his eyes. "There is a crisis brewing, one that threatens the very fabric of our society. And I believe that together, we can overcome it."
As the weight of his words sank in, I realized that our lives were about to change in ways we could never have imagined. With a sense of both trepidation and excitement, we waited for the President to reveal the details of our mission, knowing that whatever lay ahead, we would face it together.
As we sat there, the President's words hung in the air, casting a shadow of uncertainty over our minds. What kind of crisis could be so dire that the leader of our nation felt compelled to enlist our help?
"Sir, with all due respect, we're just ordinary citizens," Yna interjected, voicing the skepticism that I'm sure we all felt.
The President regarded her with a solemn expression. "Ordinary citizens, perhaps, but with extraordinary potential," he replied cryptically.
I exchanged a glance with my friends, sensing a shared apprehension mingled with a flicker of determination. Whatever this crisis was, it seemed we had been chosen for a reason.
"Allow me to explain," the President continued, his voice resonating with authority. "In recent months, there has been a series of escalating tensions between our country and its neighboring nations. Diplomatic efforts have failed, and the threat of conflict looms large on the horizon."
My heart sank at his words, the gravity of the situation weighing heavily on my shoulders. War? Could it really be possible?
"Our intelligence suggests that there are forces at play seeking to instigate this conflict for their own gain," the President continued, his tone grave. "It is imperative that we uncover the truth and prevent this crisis from escalating any further."
I felt a surge of determination coursing through my veins. If there was even a chance that we could help avert a war, then we had to try.
"What do you need from us, Mr. President?" I asked, my voice steady despite the turmoil raging within me.
The President's gaze softened, a glimmer of gratitude shining in his eyes. "I need your courage, your resourcefulness, and your unwavering commitment to the truth," he replied. "Will you stand with me in this endeavor?"
Without hesitation, I looked to my friends, finding reassurance in their resolute expressions. "We will," I declared, knowing that together, we could make a difference.
And so, with the fate of our nation hanging in the balance, we embarked on a journey that would test our limits and redefine our destinies. United by a common purpose, we set out to uncover the truth and bring about a future where peace prevailed.
As we stood before the President, his words resonating in our minds, a sense of duty and determination washed over us. We had agreed to stand with him, to face whatever challenges lay ahead, but now the reality of the task ahead began to sink in.
The President rose from his seat, his demeanor shifting from solemnity to one of unwavering resolve. "Thank you for your courage," he said, his voice commanding attention. "The fate of our nation rests in your hands."
With a nod of acknowledgment, we followed the President out of the office, our minds racing with thoughts of the mission that awaited us. As we stepped out into the corridor, I couldn't shake the feeling that our lives were about to change in ways we could never have imagined.
But before we could dwell on our apprehensions, a commotion erupted from down the hall. Voices echoed off the walls, and the sound of hurried footsteps grew louder with each passing moment.
Suddenly, a group of uniformed soldiers burst into view, their expressions tense as they scanned the corridor. Without hesitation, they approached us, their leader addressing the President with urgency.
"Sir, we've received intelligence of an imminent threat," the soldier reported, his voice edged with urgency. "We need to move quickly if we're going to prevent a catastrophe."
The President's expression hardened, his eyes flashing with determination. "Gather your team," he commanded, turning to us with a sense of urgency. "We have a crisis to avert."
With a sense of purpose coursing through our veins, we followed the President and the soldiers as they led us to a command center buzzing with activity. Maps and monitors lined the walls, displaying a flurry of information that painted a grim picture of the situation at hand.
As the President and his advisors conferred in hushed tones, I exchanged a glance with my friends, a silent understanding passing between us. Whatever lay ahead, we were ready to face it together, united in our resolve to protect our nation and ensure a future of peace and stability.
And so, with the weight of responsibility heavy on our shoulders, we braced ourselves for the challenges that lay ahead, knowing that the fate of our nation depended on our courage and determination.
-Kint's POV-
"Let's eat!" Cine's friends shouted at the same time. I thought they were angry because I was holding their friend's hand.
"Why did it take you so long?" Gray the Vice President asked me
"Don't bother!" I answered him
"We care because we're hungry!" Tyler the Treasurer said angrily
"The gorillas here are hungry!" Pie said to the woman next to him who was Cine's friend.
"Shut up!" he said and pinched Pie
"Stop that!" said the woman next to Tyler, looking hungry
I made Cine sit next to me. I'm not sure where to seat him.
"Thank you, I can finally eat!" Cine said weakly, she must be hungry
I was surprised when he suddenly looked at me. I was surprised at his look.
"Why?" I asked here
I was surprised when he suddenly raised his hand that I was holding.
"How can I eat that?" he asked me, I forgot to let go of his hand, it was as good as holding it because it was so soft.
"Sorry!" I immediately said and let it go
He just smiled and took food from the table. The truth is that we finished eating but because my friends were starving, they still ate again.
I prepared it earlier for our chief here at school, I saw them just standing like a Cine there by the door earlier. She's really pretty.
I saw him this morning, I just wanted to get away from him, that Nathan guy, but I just couldn't help myself.
I also can't stop smelling her because she smells so good. It feels good when she uses perfume.
"What?" I was surprised to see him looking at me as if he was shaking me
"Let's go I need to tell you something!" I told him and held his hand
"Hey where are you taking me?" he asked me annoyed
Well obviously I pulled him a while ago. That's why he's probably hot headed.
We went straight into my office here. I made him sit on a chair and took something from my drawer for a while.
I already prepared it this morning. When I saw her I know I made a good decision for myself I guess. I returned to the table and sat in my chair.
"What's this!" he pointed to the paper he was holding now
"A contract!" was my simple answer
"For what!" he asked me in surprise
"Marriage contract!" I said seriously here because he hadn't opened the folder yet so he didn't know what it was for.
"Are you insane!" he yelled at me in annoyance
"I'm not and I'm serious!" I said seriously here
"I'm leaving!" he said and was about to go out the door
"Do you remember what happened earlier!" I said to it so it stopped and immediately returned
"Do you really have the guts to say that!" they shouted in annoyance
I smiled when I saw that she blushed. She affected I guess!
"Of course I like the way you moan!" I said to him with a smile
"As if!" I said annoyed that he was red now
"Ok let's stop it here!" I said and opened the folder
"I want you to be my temporary secretary!" I told him
"Secretary?" he asked me in surprise
I smiled because of the reaction. You are really something Cine!
I chuckled at his reaction, enjoying the surprise on his face. "Yes, a secretary," I confirmed, leaning back in my chair. "You're organized, efficient, and I trust you more than anyone else for this role."
He seemed taken aback by the offer, his expression shifting from disbelief to a mix of uncertainty and curiosity. "But why?" he asked, still trying to wrap his head around the sudden proposal.
"Because I need someone I can rely on, someone who knows me well," I explained, locking eyes with him. "And who better than you?"
He seemed to consider my words for a moment, his gaze softening as he realized the sincerity behind them. "I... I don't know what to say," he admitted, scratching the back of his head nervously.
"Say yes," I teased, flashing him a playful grin. "You won't regret it, I promise."
After a moment of hesitation, he finally nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Alright, I'm in," he said, his voice filled with determination.
"Great!" I exclaimed, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. "Welcome aboard, Mr. Secretary."
We both shared a laugh, the tension from earlier dissipating into the air as we embraced this new chapter together. Little did we know, this decision would bring us closer than ever before, leading to unexpected twists and turns that would change our lives forever.
With the decision made, we dove headfirst into our new arrangement. Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, as we navigated the intricacies of our professional and personal relationship.
As my temporary secretary, he proved to be indispensable, effortlessly juggling multiple tasks and anticipating my needs before I even voiced them. But beyond his efficiency, there was something else that blossomed between us-a deep bond forged through shared experiences and countless moments of laughter and camaraderie.
Despite our initial reluctance to admit it, our feelings for each other had begun to grow, blossoming like a delicate flower in the midst of chaos. We danced around the unspoken tension, tiptoeing on the line between friendship and something more, both afraid to take the next step.
But fate has a way of intervening when least expected. One evening, as we worked late in the office, a sudden power outage plunged us into darkness, casting a veil of uncertainty over our surroundings.
In the dim light of emergency candles, our eyes met, and for a fleeting moment, time stood still. The air crackled with electricity, charged with unspoken words and unexplored desires.
Unable to resist the pull any longer, he reached out and gently cupped my face in his hands, his touch sending shivers down my spine. Without a word, he leaned in, capturing my lips in a tender kiss that spoke volumes of the emotions swirling between us.
In that moment, amidst the darkness and chaos, we found clarity. Our hearts beat as one, intertwining our destinies in a love that transcended all boundaries.
As the power flickered back on, illuminating the room once more, we pulled away, breathless and exhilarated by the intensity of our connection. With a shared smile, we knew that this was only the beginning of our journey together-a journey filled with love, laughter, and infinite possibilities.
In the days following our electrifying kiss, the dynamic between us shifted, charged with a newfound sense of intimacy and passion. We navigated the uncharted waters of our blossoming romance with a mixture of excitement and trepidation, eager to explore this uncharted territory together.
Every stolen glance, every lingering touch, served as a testament to the depth of our connection, reaffirming our decision to take a chance on love. But as we allowed ourselves to be consumed by the intensity of our feelings, a nagging doubt lingered in the back of our minds-what would happen when our temporary arrangement came to an end?
The looming deadline of my contract weighed heavily on our hearts, threatening to overshadow the happiness we had found in each other's arms. We knew that our time together was limited, that soon we would be forced to part ways and return to our separate lives.
But despite the uncertainty that lay ahead, we refused to let fear dictate our actions. Instead, we embraced each moment as if it were our last, cherishing the time we had together and vowing to make the most of it.
As the days turned into weeks, we continued to defy the odds, building a future together against all odds. With each passing day, our love grew stronger, solidifying our resolve to overcome any obstacle that stood in our way.
And when the time finally came for us to part ways, we did so with a heavy heart but a sense of hope for the future. For we knew that no matter where life took us, our love would endure, a beacon of light guiding us through even the darkest of times.
As we said our goodbyes, promising to reunite soon, I knew that this was not the end, but merely the beginning of our epic love story-a story written in the stars, destined to stand the test of time. And as I watched him fade into the distance, I whispered a silent vow to cherish our love forever, knowing that no distance could ever tear us apart.
