It was sharp seven on the dot when breakfast was served, Kimberly was still in bed as she had passed the day clubbing forgetting the following day was her first day in college, Mr. Jerk was on his way to the dining table he was already dressed for work, behind him was his arrogant wife she was equally dressed for work. They both sat down and started taking breakfast, Mr. Jerk ordered the maid to go get Kimberly, on her arrival, Kim's room was looked, she tried knocking on the door, but Kim sent her away, she came back to the table and informed Mr. Jerk, Mrs.

Kris told her husband not to worry that she was gonna go talk to her personally. After breakfast, Mr. Jerk left for the shoe factory, Mrs. Kris was still in the house getting ready to go meet Kimberly in her room. She gently climbed the stairs towards Kim's room, on her arrival she knocked her door room as it was closed. "Who's that?" Kimberly asked while shouting. "It's your mum," Mrs. Kris replied while waiting on her to open the door. Kimberly quickly stepped out of bed and rushed to open the door, her mum came in and sat next to her bed, she told her daughter to have a sit, she was about to have a conversation with her, Kimberly sat down and was waiting on her mum, Mrs. Kris cleared her throat and began, "Do you know your dad is angry with you?" Mrs. Kris asked while folding her arms around her waist. Kimberly was wondering why her dad was angry with her, she asked why her dad was angry with her and her mum said because of the kind of lifestyle she was engaging herself into. Her dad Mr. Jerk was brought up responsibly and as such did not tolerate Kim's attitude, each time he tried talking to her about it, her mum always tried convincing him she was gonna talk to her. Her mum advised her to be a good girl, the clock was ticking and time was passing, Kimberly got to the bathroom, took her bad and was preparing herself for school, it was her first day in college. Her mum left her and was now about to go join her husband at the shoe factory when she arrived the security guards accompanied her to the office, it was like a tradition, every morning when her car drove into the factory, there was always one guard who held her bag right to her office, Mrs. Kris West was a very arrogant lady, she never responded each time the poor greeted her. They faced this problem every time she was coming but had no choice, they had to continue greeting her for she was the boss's wife. Kimberly was already dressed for school, she wore a simple blue gown, a black pair of covered shoes, and a white school bag, her driver was down waiting for her to get done, it took her some seconds to get down, and the driver drove her to school, when she entered the school premises, she could see other beautiful cars just as the one they carried her into. There was a guard standing by each class, welcoming you and taking you to your sit, he did same for Kimberly as she was the last student to enter the class, the other students were already well seated, where Malyse was seated there was still space the guard asked her if she was comfortable sitting behind and she answered yes. She then sat beside Malyse, greeted her, and stayed quiet, she was so surprised to meet Jennifer and Shay in the same classroom as her. Jennifer already knew the kind of girl Kim was so pretended not to know her and remained comfortable in her seat. The teacher entered the class, introduced himself and asked the students to introduce themselves, they all introduced themselves and in Kim's turn she added she was the daughter of the one who owns "West Shoes", this was how her father's company was called, the teacher then told her he asked only for her name and not her status and she replied saying that was how she always introduced herself when someone asked anything concerning her, from the way she was expressing herself, the teacher already knew she was a troublesome girl and to avoid conflicts between himself and her family, he stayed quiet, gave his lectures and went out of class. During break, Malyse requested they go get something to eat, she followed Malyse and while going out someone called her and when she turned to check who the person was, she discovered it was Jennifer. She ignored her call and continued walking with Malyse, they arrived at the canteen, they gave their command and were waiting to be served. After eating they returned to class and we're discussing since they were having a free period at that time, "So tell me more about you," Kimberly asked. Malyse told Kim that her parents were the owners of a mining company abroad and she was equally their only daughter sent to Montreal for studies. Kim was happy knowing Malyse was from a respectable family, she had found someone with who she was going to be friends, Kimberly was from a rich family and only wanted to be around rich people. In the shoe factory, Jennifer's mum wasn't feeling fine it was only at 10 am that she called one of the staff to inform them that she would not be able to come to work because of her health issues, worst of it was that she had not cleaned Mrs. Kris office and she knew how problematic she was. Jennifer's mum had a lot of work the previous day so she taught she was going to be early enough to clean Mrs. Kris office, little did she know that the next morning she would not be able to come to work, she tried calling her colleague who equally is a cleaning agent like her but her phone wasn't passing through, she knew she was going to be in trouble but all she did was pray for God to soften her heart.

When Mrs. Kris arrived at her office, it was cleaned. She left her bag, and was about to go to her husband's office to collect some documents. She passed through the reception to get to her office. The receptionist was a friend of Jennifer's mum and she thought Mrs. Kris was coming to ask her why her office was not cleaned, but surprisingly she passed without saying anything.

She quickly rushed to go check over her window if the office was cleaned and yes it was cleaned, she was surprised, who would have done that, she got back to the reception took her phone and called Jennifer's mum and told her not to panic that the office was already taken care off and she was also wondering who would have done that. Mrs. Kris was with her husband, he asked if Kimberly had left for school and she replied saying yes and that she left before her. Mrs. Jerk insisted his wife should always talk to their daughter because she was already getting out of hand, Mrs. Kris promised she was gonna do just that. Classes were over and as Jennifer tried going out of campus, Kim held her by her hands and dragged her to the other building of the campus telling her it was the first and last time she ever called her name in public, and she should behave as if they don't know themselves, Jennifer tried telling her that she respects her a lot reason why she called to greet her, Kim replied saying she did not need respect from the poor and the needy, she equally said even her salutations she never wanted them. Kim never wanted Jennifer to be around her, just as she entered in class and discovered she was going to be her classmate, she started hating the school, as she was talking Malyse came out of class and was looking for her so they could get out of the school premises together. From the building where Jennifer and Kimberly we're she could hear someone calling for her, from the person's voice she knew it was Malyse, she quickly ran out of the building and was going towards their class and met Malyse, she said she had been looking for her, Kim answered saying she was visiting the school, the later went out of school, Malyse driver was already waiting for her outside, she hugged Kim and went over, instantly, her driver arrived she asked why he had taken time to come pick her from school and that she was going to report to her mother, the driver told her there was traffic on his way to school but Kim said that was none of her business and that she was still going to report him to her mum, been afraid to be sacked by her mum he pleaded with her and said it's was never going to produce itself again. Kimberly gave him one last chance saying if ever it should repeat itself again she was personally gonna sack him. He agreed and they left for home. Back in the house, the maid just finished preparing rice and chicken. When she heard Kim entering the house she served her, this time Kim was in her room having her bath, after that she wore a mini red gown and a black low slippers. Getting to the table, she was disappointed, she never wanted to eat rice, since she had it in the school canteen, she called the maid and told her to make something else, that she wasn't interested in. Jennifer was on her way home to go meet her sick mother, she was trekking since she had no money to pay for a taxi, once home she met her mum trying to dish herself, she entered the house greeted her mum went to the bathroom, had her bath and came back to the sitting room where her mum was found, her mum was putting on a smile on her face, and she asked her mum why she was happy, her mum told her the incident with Mrs. Kris office and that it was already solved but that her problem, she did not know who did it, and Jennifer smiled saying she was the one who cleaned the office. Her mum asked her how she knew the office was not cleaned, she said when her mum got up in the middle of the night saying to herself, that she was going to get up early to go clean the office she heard it and that was why she left very early that morning to go clean the office before going to school and that when she arrived the receptionist was not yet around reason why she could not point out the person who cleaned Mrs. Kris office. Her mum was so happy about what she did, she held her in and hands and was giving her perks, her mum was happy as her daughter helped cleaned the office, she taught she was going to be fired the next morning luckily enough she expressed her mind that evening and her daughter rushed in the morning to go executive the task. Malyse was home, her maid served her after she had already taken her bath, she ate, slept got up and took her book to revise the notes given by the teacher. Even though Malyse came from a rich family, she was not brought up in a bad manner, she respected everyone around her including the middle class, she was very friendly and very open to people who wanted to know more about her. After she finished revising she was in the sitting room with her maid. They were having a good time while discussing, they talked about her first day in school and how she met a new friend and that the rest of her classmates were kind to her and including their school guards.

The next morning, Jennifer was up, she made breakfast for her and her mum, they ate, Jennifer quickly arranged her books in her bag and left for school. Her mum was already good so she was equally preparing to go to work. Her junior brother Williams was in the house, she asked him to take good care of the house and that if he was willing to go out, he should close the doors well, Jennifer's family just arrived in the city, they were still new and never knew how the people living around them behaved.

Jennifer was already in school now, some few minutes, Malyse and her driver entered he dropped her and continued, she entered the class and greeted everyone including Jennifer. Shay was not yet in school, he arrived after Malyse and greeted Jennifer, he then went to his bench. Kim came a little bit earlier than the previous day, when she got out of the car, she reminded her driver to be early or else he was gonna lose his job. She gradually climbed the stairs and went to her class, entering, she ignored Shay and Jennifer and went immediately to her bench where Malyse was already seated, she greeted Malyse, asked how her night was, Malyse replied to her questions and also asked how her night was. The two new friends discussed for some minutes before the teacher came into class. It was their second day in school, after the lecturer, it was break and everyone was going to the refractory to have something to eat. Malyse and Kimberly we're still in class waiting for the population to decrease. Malyse did not go to the school canteen immediately because they were so many people and there might lack space if they went out the same time as the others, Jennifer was in class, she had brought her food from home, the food at the school canteen was so expensive that she could not afford such luxury, thus she brought her food from home. Although Shay was from a poor background, he always did mini-jobs, this was to avoid his pockets being empty, he could afford certain stuff from the school canteen. Benedict, mother of Jennifer was already at the shoe factory cleaning, as usual, the van arrived and Mrs. Kris stepped out, one of the guards held her bag and followed her to the office, before her arrival, Benedict had already cleaned her office and was outside cleaning the balcony, she was pretty fast when during her job and she loved what she was doing as she did it with all her heart. As Mrs. Kris was on her way to the office, her staff just bowed their head when she passed, there was no need to greet her, as they all knew she would not reply to their greetings. Benedict was done with what she was doing and immediately removed her tattered clothes and wore the dresses she came with, she was rushing to go make food for her and Jennifer. After the break, the next teacher came in, it was more of a question and answer session, most of the questions asked were answered by Shay and Jennifer, the teacher asked the other students to clap for Jennifer and Shay, everyone in class clapped for them except Kimberly, the teacher who was right in front noticed Kim was not clapping, he asked why she was not clapping and she said she was tired, the teacher asked her to stand and clap alone, she refused that she was not going to do such, the teacher gave her another chance to clap for Jennifer and Shay but she still refused and said the same thing, her teacher who was now furious left the class and went straight to the administration to go report Kimberly's action towards him. Immediately as he did that someone was sent to Kim's class to come and call her, she stood boldly and followed the man, they arrived at the principal office, the principal asked her to kneel but she refuse saying in her entire life she never did that, immediately, the principal called her mum informing her, he wanted to see both her and her husband, Mrs. Kris answered the call pretended and said her husband was not around and that she was on her way coming, Kris knew that if she informed her husband that they were both summoned at Kimberley's school he wasn't gonna take it anymore. she told her driver to get ready that they we're going out. while going out, her husband met her on his way, she said she was going to have something to eat, since it was 1 pm and she had not yet eaten, her husband requested to have lunch with her, but she said she was going out with friends, her husband gave her a perk and continued his way. They were already in school and her mum was directed to the office, the principal gave her a chair and asked her to sit, just the way the principal was looking at her, she knew Kim did something bad. The principal explained what happened before her arrival and how her daughter disrespected her teacher in front of the whole class by refusing to apologize, Mrs. Kris told the principal that she was sorry on her behalf and that it was never going to happen again, the principal said he never wanted Mrs. Kris to apologize but her daughter and that, it was not the reason why he summoned them, he wanted them to come to see the girl they've been raising. Kris told her daughter to apologize very fast, that was when Kimberly apologized to her teacher, the principal asked Kim if without her parents she wouldn't apologize to her parents, Kim ignored the question and her head was facing down like one innocent princess, Mrs. Kris apologized again and that she will talk to her back home and that it shall never repeat itself. The principal told Kimberly to get back to class, the teacher equally went back, he was left alone in his office with Mrs. Kris. He told her that Kimberly could not go unpublished because it was part of their laws that any student who disobeys the teacher should be punished. Kris pleaded with the principal that please he should give her a last chance, the principal only accepted because she was an influential person, she thanked the principal and took her leave. On her way back to the office, she told the driver not to tell her husband they were from Kimberly's school, because it could bring problems between Kim and her dad. The driver accepted, but to himself, he was wondering what type of mum Mrs. Kris was, a mother who covers everything bad her daughter does, he believed she was instead getting things worst. Before Kim and the teacher went back to class, the students were murmuring to themselves, they were wondering if that was how arrogant Kimberly was, Shay and Jennifer weren't surprised for they knew that was how she was, a girl who disrespected everyone around her, as Kim entered the class, there was total silence, she was then followed by the teacher, he continued teaching and gave then a little assignment while he arranged some things in his bag, he sat on the teacher's seat and was seriously thinking about what had happened, he was sure Kim's mum was the reason why she was behaving in such way, he passed to other things and started checking the assignment he had given earlier, as he was checking he discovered Kim had still not done her assignment, he asked if Kim was tempting him, she said no that she did not know what the assignment was talking about, and he asked her why she did not raise her hand to ask questions and she said, she was afraid. The teacher explained what the assignment was all about and that was when she started doing her's. The teacher did not really like her energy as they were full of negative vibes. After school Jennifer was going back home, she was with Shay as they were walking, they discussed what happened in class, Jennifer told Shay that Kimberly was getting out of hand, Shay replied saying it was her business, not his. Jennifer sounded worried for Kimberly, though Kim never wanted her friendship there was something in her which couldn't stop thinking about her. She was home already, her mum was still in the kitchen, she was making fried potatoes with beans, Jennifer removed her dresses and went to the kitchen to help her mum, while they were working, Jennifer explained to her mum what happened in class and how Kim's mum was summoned, Benedict wasn't surprised as she already knew the kind of people she was dealing and working for, but she had no choice because she needed money to take care of her kid and her needs. After all, the West shoe company was the highest paying company in the area, she had to swallow her pride and go in for the job, it wasn't easy working for arrogant people, as she said but for money, she had to throw away her pride and stick to the rules.
