Together with the glittering stars, the moon was shining brightly. The sky appeared to be covered in glitter and covered in a black blanket. With the exception of one house, the whole community was quiet. There was only one room in that house, where a passionate night for two people who are opposite to each other in every manner was taking place, amidst the cacophony of music, shouting, and drunken people.

The only sound in the entire room was the noise of two individuals breathing quickly and moaning each other's name in ecstasy. Their lips were dancing together in a perfect sync, making the heat reach its peak. Eliana's long nails were now scratching the back of Grayson, leaving clearly visible deep red marks and he moved his hands in her hair smoothly while moving his lips from her jaw to neck, sucking it sweetly by leaving a huge hickey.

"Are you ready, baby?" Grayson said in his deliciously deep voice and looked into Eliana's deep blue eyes. They linked their bodies after getting confirmation from her, fully forgetting the outside world.

She began by taking several long breaths. Then, without waking him up or spending any more time, she gracefully slipped his hand from her waist and glided down the bed but as soon as she moved, the anguish in her body caused her to become weak. Still she tried her best to get up and quickly put on her clothes after stealthily picking them up off the ground and walking at a fast pace towards the door. But before leaving, she gave Grayson a quick glance.

"I don't know how you will behave with me tomorrow or even spare a glance at me but right now I want to grasp every moment I can have by just seeing you from this close... see you soon Grayson" she said quietly while looking at the person who was sleeping soundly. But she didn't know that this was the last time she was seeing him before getting a heartache and left the room after peeking into the hallway to see if the way was clear or not.

Even though it seemed like just two bodies were joined that night, neither of the two people in that room knew that it was also the night their souls and fate would join, irrevocably altering the path of their lives going forward. The two individuals who never imagined their paths would cross were now going to be tied together for eternity.

(Eliana's POV)

Suddenly my eyes opened and I sat up on the bed. My breathing was fast and even after the AC was on I was still sweating. I clutched the sheets tightly and got my breathing back to normal. I grabbed a glass of water from my bedside and drank it up completely. Then I noticed that it was still quite early in the day when I looked at the clock. I thus reclined and pulled the covers up to my neck. The nightmare that woke me up in the first place started clouding my mind again and the whole time I was not able to sleep.

My alarm clock beeped, so I pulled the blankets off and got ready for the day. I started by going through my morning routine and then entered the kitchen. I went over to the refrigerator to get the items out for breakfast after tying my hair with the clutcher that was on the dining room table. I started by heating the milk before moving on to the cooked egg, cereal, and sandwich.

Then went towards the room right away after exiting the kitchen. One of my tiny angels is already awake, as I discovered when I carefully opened the door and peered inside.

"Hey baby, did you sleep well?" I said in a hushed voice and sat beside him while he was still rubbing his eyes.

"Mumma..." his voice was drowsy as he spoke, looking at me and reaching out to get hold of me. I picked him up and sat him on my lap while he kept his head on my chest and hugged me tightly with his two little hands.

"What happened Lucas?" When he remained silent for a few minutes, I gently questioned him and he simply gripped me as though I might flee and tears rolled down from his dark brown eyes which were just like him.

"I had a bad dream...I was alone in a room, it was dark and you were not there, mumma" He sobbed and coughed a little in between his words.

"I am here baby, I will always be with you" He stopped crying as I gently caressed his back and murmured to him. I hummed a song I used to do while I was pregnant and rocked him back and forth for a minute to calm him down.

"Are you ok, now?" I asked him when he raised his head and looked at me. In return, he gave me a smile and kissed my nose.

"Should we wake up your brother's?" I smiled as I asked, and he knew right away what we were going to do. Then, he rose from my lap and moved in the direction of his brother, while I moved to the other side of the bed.

"1...2...3!" I gave a countdown through my fingers and at three we both yelled and began nuzzling the other two sleepy heads.

"Aaa, m-mum...maa... s-stop...no L-Lucas" Both of them yelled and made an effort to escape our tickling but we persisted, and it went on for at least a minute.

"You both always team up" Leo, my youngest, rose up and rested his back on the bedrest and muttered while pouting. I moved in to give him a gentle nip on the nose and a kiss on the forehead.

"One day, if you get up early I will team up with you" I gave him a smile and tousled his hair playfully.

"That day will never come, mumma" I turned to see my oldest, who was standing next to Lucas with his arm draped over his shoulder and grinning as he shook his head in response to something I heard.

"I am waiting for that miracle day too, Liam" I sighed and turned to face Leo, who had a scowl on his face as he gazed at Liam.

"Ok, enough of this. Come on, get up and move your legs to the washroom" I clapped to draw everyone's attention and they all left after hearing my instructions. But I halted Liam in his tracks and he turned to look at me.

"I will always love you three. You all are my world" When he heard me, he gave me the cutest smile, so I bowed down, faced him, and kissed his cheek. Then, he continued his walk back to the washroom with me behind him.

As I filled the bathtub with lukewarm water, they undressed. They stood next to me when they had finished stripping and brushing their teeth. I gestured for them to enter after dipping my hand into the water to feel the temperature. They giggled while playing with the water and began splattering each other with it as soon as they were comfortable. Seeing my babies happy is something I constantly look forward to in life.

I gave them their individual bathrobes after giving them a bath and then I proceeded to get their uniforms out of their closet. They all sat on the chairs while I plated their breakfast in the kitchen after getting them ready. I made their tiffin and mine breakfast at the same time as they were eating. I hastily grabbed their bags from their room and placed their tiffin inside before placing the bags on their shoulders as soon as the clock struck eight fifty.

"Come on boys, we'll be late... Bus will be coming" I locked the door and put on my slippers before leaving the house. In two minutes, we were at our destination, where every other parent was waiting to drop off their kids.

"Boys, tomorrow you and mumma will go to an adventure park. Today is your last day before vacation so, I want you to behave and enjoy, ok?" I knelt down in front of them and grasped their hands. I kissed each of their foreheads individually before their school bus arrived after they had all hugged me together in delight after listening to me and dismissed them with a wave.

I walked back to my flat and as soon as I came in, I sighed at the quiet place. Only when my three angels are present does this house always seem active. My life would be meaningless without them, and for that alone, I am grateful to him. I will always remember that night as more of a part of my life than a nightmare.

(Eliana's POV)

I got dressed, changed and left the apartment before calling a cab. After waiting outside my building for at least five minutes, a cab arrived in front of me. After settling down, I began my trip toward a hectic day. In order to decompress, I put on headphones, listened to music and observed the people outside.

There are moments when you feel as though everyone around you is moving yet you remain in one spot. I am broken on the inside and only exist for my children because of that person. I'm not sure why, but that night has always been a part of my life, and no matter what I do, I can't get the memories out of my head and it persists in appearing as nightmares.

"Ma'am your destination" As I was engrossed in my own misery, the taxi driver muttered, glancing at me in the rearview mirror. Following a 'thank you', 'Justice Shields' was emblazoned in large letters on a massive building that I approached after leaving and entering the building.

While smiling and saying hello to my coworkers as I made my way to the lift and punched the button for my floor. After five minutes, the lift opened, and when I came outside, Daisy was racing around and chaos was created.

"Oh thank god, you are here. Pls come fast and help me with this Eliana or otherwise I'll be in big trouble. Mr. Richardson would come any moment, he would kill me if he didn't see that document on his table" As soon as she saw me, she hurried towards me and began speaking in a panicked manner without pausing. Her hands were flying around in a hyperactive manner, and her breathing was rapid.

"Daisy! Daisy! Breathe, in- out, in-out... Now relax and explain the matter, so that I know what to do atleast" I yelled at her to pay attention, made her take a few deep breaths, got us seated on the couch, and then inquired about the circumstances.

"Ok, so Mr. Richardson asked me to get some details about our new case from the client and to make a gist of it. I had to present it in front of him today but because of some personal issues I wasn't able to do it and now I am fucking screwed" She spoke tensely and eventually gripped her hair hard in frustration as a groan came out of her mouth.

"Listen to me, let's do one thing. There is still some time left till Mr. Richardson comes. So, you quickly go and get me the points that we have to ask and I'll try to contact the client. If he picks up I'll ask everything on the phone only and then you make a gist of it" I murmured, placing a hand on her shoulder to comfort her.

She entered her office right away while I walked over to mine and tried to talk to the client. He picked up after at least three rings. Daisy returned at the same moment that I introduced myself, told him why I was calling, and he granted me five minutes to ask whatever questions I had. In the end, I handed the sheet back to her to get the gist after asking him about the case details without wasting any more time. As soon as she completed the last letter, Mr. Richardson opened my office door and took a quick look.

"Good morning ladies, how are you both today?" He was wearing a sharp three-piece suit and stood at the entrance, smiling and asking us politely while keeping his hands in his pockets.

"We are fine Mr. Richardson and I hope you are also happy and cheerful like always...Today is a great day for the weather, so hopefully the atmosphere inside our office stays as wonderful as it is outside" I fully rotated my seat and questioned him in a humorous manner, eliciting a small giggle from Daisy.

"Yes dear, like always" He responded in a caustic manner, then just left to go to his office after requesting Daisy to bring the work he had given her.

"You always tease him. Let the poor man live for a second, Eliana" She shook her head a little, murmured, and got up to wind up her job.

"He is like an elder brother to me...and all this is just fun, even though he knows it. That's why I am still here even after annoying him so much" I repositioned my seat so that it faced my laptop and began working on other cases. Daisy merely smiled and walked away after hearing my reply.

Daisy happily came in to say thank you for helping her and to let us know that Mr. Richardson had called us in his office after three hours. I stood up, taking her with me as we went. We knocked and were let inside, where we stood in front of his big table. He finished working on something on his laptop and turned to face us.

"There are some legal issues that I have to look into for someone I know. And for that, I have to travel to New York in four days. So, as my personal assistant it is Daisy's duty to go but... she is not able to travel right now" He said, laying his back on the chair and crossing one leg over the other. Eventually, he lifted an eyebrow and gave me a curious look.

"Uh, why can't you go?" I gave Daisy a puzzled look as I twisted my face to the side.

"The doctor suggested to her mom to have surgery, so she has to stay. That's why I am asking my former assistant to come with me" instead of her, he answered.

"But I can't, what about my kids? Where will I leave them?" After hearing what he stated, I became anxious and began to worry for my children. I can't leave them alone with anyone now, since I left that position specifically for them.

"I know, that's why I am asking you to take them along and it's just a two day trip. I want you with me only when we discuss the issue with the client. After that you can be with them the whole time" I begged for some time to ponder, and he obliged, telling me with hopeful eyes to make sure I don't refuse.

When I was done with my work, I had to pick up the kids from creche and I said goodbye to Daisy and Mr. Richardson at four, leaving the building with a decision of going to New York, not knowing that place was going to change my children and my life.
