She lost her father, her riches, and she almost lost her life. Miraculously, she regained consciousness... with new superhuman abilities. Beating all the odds, she eventually established herself in the corporate world and became a corporate legend. There, she found love, winning the heart of Stefan-- the indifferent business tycoon of the city.

Chapter 1 Offend Him I Don't Even Know Him!

The night was decorated with beautiful lights. As neon lights flashed over the streets, everyone would look up at one of the most famous club in A City.

It was the Royal Club--the prime place to throw money around.

It was like a huge black hole, sucking out people's pockets while emitting nothing but extravagance.

"Miss, we're here."

Hearing the driver's words, Nancy Cheng woke up from her slumber.

She ignored the driver's lustful gaze as she handed out a two-dimensional code. Without another word, she got off.

"Didn't expect you to be a prostitute here."

She didn't pay attention to the driver's murmurs.

At the moment, her mind was already swimming with thoughts on how to pay her mother's medical fees.

Looking up at the huge signboard of the Royal Club, Nancy Cheng took a deep breath before stepping in with a smile.

If God was real, then she hoped that He was there for her.

"What took you so long?" The club manager raced over and pointed a finger at her nose. He scrunched up his face. "You're late...again. Do you want to quit this job? If it's not for Austin... Whatever... Just go and change before you ruin our reputation any further than you already have."

Nancy Cheng could only nod apologetically. Without another word, she weaseled her way into the clothing area while he was still complaining of her lack of 'class'.

"This club may be high-class, but his words were as similar to a street rat's."

A delicate woman squeezed into the dressing room like a butterfly.

Hearing her familiar voice, Nancy Cheng waved her over. "Queenie, come and help me."

"You're always being bullied by him. Hell, he couldn't even be this mean with the girl that came from the countryside days ago." Queenie Lu shook her head, sneering as she zipped up her friend's dress.

"What would I do without you?" Nancy Cheng sighed in relief before raising up a paper bag for her to see. "Look, it's a cake from the coffee shop I work for during the day. I bought it just for you."

Queenie Lu laughed. "I've promised Allen to look after you. You're so lucky to have met a man as good as him--so handsome and rich," she sighed. "Will he pick you up tonight?"

"He's going to work overtime tonight. He might not be able to come."

Nancy Cheng knew that Mr. Chen, the club manager, only bullied her because she was just a pianist. She'd never be able to amount to anything. However, the 'princesses', whose jobs were to entertain the guests, were different. If they were to meet an important client, he wouldn't dare to mess with them.

That included Queenie Lu, one of his brightest flowers.

"Ready? It's already late. I'm warning all of you to do your best tonight. An important guest is coming, so mistakes will not be tolerated," he shouted, stretching his neck from the curtains.

Holding her skirt by her hands, Nancy walked out of the clothing area in small steps before sitting upright at the piano. Without another word, her slender fingers flew across the white and black keys.

She played Flight of the Bumblebee first, and the entire hall was filled with the flavors of springtime.

It was only in front of the piano did she really feel calm about it all.

'Distinguished guest.'

It was hard for anyone to get into a place like the Royal Club. Cars less than one million dollars couldn't even stop right in front of the gates, except of course a taxi, so Nancy couldn't help but be curious about who the distinguished guest was.

Every time Allen Qi drove his BMW 3 Series, he had to park it far away to avoid being embarrassed by the men in the bar.

'So how distinguished can this guest be?'

Nancy saw attendants lined up on both sides of the entrance as Mr. Chen fixed his tie.

Soon, a tall and thin figure appeared at the end of the hall, wearing a haute-couture suit from Giorgio Armani.

Since he was far away from her and the lights were dim, Nancy could only see the outline of his figure.

But she did recognize what clothes he had. It might have been a long time ago, but Nancy also came from a long line of luxuries.

"Welcome, Mr. Mu!"

Mr. Chen took the lead and bowed respectfully.

All the attendants of the Royal Club bowed and shouted in unison.

Nancy snorted.

'From the Mu family... Huh...

He's a young man... so he must be the Stefan, the second oldest of the Mu family.

If I remember correctly, he has just taken over the Mu Real Estate, the most important industry of the Mu Group.'

She narrowed her gaze. From the looks of it, he also seemed very good-looking.

Distracted, Nancy pressed on the wrong key but she immediately recovered.

She was calm and relaxed. Only a few people could tell the minor mistake that she'd just made.

All these men were absolutely good for nothing! All they did was drink and cheers all day.

Nancy smiled when nobody noticed.

What she didn't know was that, not far away, Stefan Mu froze.

"What's wrong, Mr. Mu? Is there a problem?" Mr. Chen broke into cold sweat when he saw the man's calculating gaze.

The crowd followed Stefan Mu's gaze to the pianist at the other end of the room.

Nancy's face burned with shame as she avoided Stefan Mu's cold eyes and sour expression.

Did he notice it?

Her heart skipped a beat.

"Mr. Mu, she is the daughter of Conrad Cheng from Star Electronic. I know her uncle, so I let her play the piano here," Mr. Chen said hurriedly. "Is there a problem?"

"I don't care who she is. The way she plays..." Stefan Mu scowled as he thought of the accident that had happened in Star Electronic a few days ago. "Tell her to stop playing. Her salary should be deducted."

"Yes! Mr. Mu, please don't worry!"

Mr. Chen breathed a sigh of relief once Stefan Mu made it to the elevator.

As soon as Mr. Chen turned around, he saw Queenie Lu not far away, smiling at him.

"Queenie, stay away from him. I've heard how much of a neat freak that man is. He may look down on women like you," he slowly said. "You can serve the men in V304 though. They're incredibly rich."

Those men...

The corners of her mouth twitched.

"Well, are you okay with that?" he continued. "These men can afford a peak VIP room. They'd shower you girls with money if they have the chance."

"I'll head there in a second." Queenie winked in reply. "Who can say no to that?"

Mr. Chen smiled in satisfaction as she twisted her body and walked over to her assigned room.

As Nancy was playing to the next music score, she heard Mr. Chen's words. "There's no need to play tonight. You can get off work early."

Nancy beamed up at him. "Really? Isn't today pay day, Mr. Chen?"

Mr. Chen was not amused. "I don't even know if you're able to play the piano the next time around since you offended him, and you have the audacity to ask for your pay?"

"I offended him? I don't even know him." She furrowed her eyebrows.

"This is Mr. Mu's idea. I suggest you go. If he comes down and sees you, he might make a fuss about it," Mr. Chen insisted. "I can't offend such a man! He's practically raining with money!"

Hearing that, Nancy lowered her head. Since she left late from her work at the cafe, she came here by taxi. Now, she had no more money to take another taxi ride home. It had all been in vain.

'How on earth did I offend him?

I don't even know him!'

Life had once told her that a person shouldn't be filled with pride. Because, without food, her pride was completely useless.

She grabbed a hold of his hands. "Mr. Chen, please... I can't work for nothing... You know my family situation," she begged.

"Alas..." Mr. Chen shook his head.

"How about this?" Nancy offered. "You tell me what room Mr. Mu's in, and I'll go up and apologize."

Chapter 2 Help Me! Who Can Save Me!

Depressed, Nancy sat in the dressing room.

No matter how much she begged, Mr. Chen still refused to tell her Stefan's VIP room number.

It was no wonder why he refused. The Royal Club belonged to the Mu family. There was no way that Mr. Chen would offend the master for a nobody like her.

However, she couldn't sit and let all of this happen.

She must go and ask for justice.

Nancy snuck into the staff's changing room and quickly changed into a waitress outfit.

Without another word, she hurried into the employee elevator. 'It's no matter. I can search them all one by one,' she thought with determination.

It was the first time she'd done something so rebellious. Her heart soared inside her chest as an uncomfortable feeling rose up in her stomach.

When the elevator stopped and opened, Nancy looked up to see Queenie standing. Her face was pale and sweaty.

"Hey! Are you okay?" Nancy grabbed her shoulders and glanced at the hemline of her dress. It was torn.

From the looks of it, Queenie must've encountered a couple of rowdy customers.

Queenie's face changed the second she saw Nancy. There was a pause for a second before she removed Nancy's grip from her shoulders. "I'm fine."

"You've been harassed. I'll take you to Mr. Chen," Nancy said firmly, her rage bubbling up inside of her.

"There's no need for that." Queenie shook her head. "It might just cause a scene. Why are you here?"

"Do you know which room Mr. Mu is?" she asked.

Queenie was silent for a while before she finally spoke up, "I think he entered V304 earlier. Why? What are you going to do?"

"I plan to talk to him."

Nancy didn't give much more information before stomping to the room that was mentioned.

She didn't know that this was her road to hell.

If she'd known, she would never even have thought on going.

Nancy had overlooked the guilt shining on her friend's face and walked right into the devil's trap.

She quickly stopped the waiter from delivering the wine to V304, furrowing her eyebrows when the waiter walked away.

Nancy was expecting to see Stefan's cold face when she opened the door,

only to see a completely different sight.

There was a group of men inside the room, showing off their exquisitely designed gold watches. Just as she opened the door, the men stared at her as if she were a piece of meat entering the lions' den.

"Sorry, I made a mistake," Nancy apologized, about to retreat.

"No, you didn't!" Someone came over to grab her wrist. "We were actually waiting for you, Miss Nancy!"

"You all..." She looked at all of the men one by one, narrowing her eyes. "You recognize me?"

"Of course! Your father used to be our best friend!"

"We recognized you when you were playing downstairs."

"In fact, you could even call us your uncles!"

"Come here, Miss Nancy. Let me introduce to you..."

Without any room for refusal, she found herself being pulled into the room.

Although they had said nothing but good things, their eyes were telling a different story. The way they leered and gazed at her made her even more uncomfortable.

'Queenie told me Mr. Mu would be here,' she thought.

However, as she glanced at her surroundings, Stefan was nowhere in sight.

She was pushed into the sofa as the men surrounded her.

Nancy never heard of her father having such friends.

'All his friends shunned him when he died, so where the hell did they come from?'

"I'm actually just here to deliver the wine." She faintly smiled. "I'll be leaving now." Just as she was about to leave, someone blocked her way to the exit.

"And why are you leaving?"

one of the men questioned. From the way the others bowed their head in respect, he must've been their leader.

He was incredibly large with equally big ears. There were tattoos covering his entire body.

"Did you hear? Our boss, Johnny, wants to have a drink with you before you leave!" The man shook Nancy's hand, a creepy smile entering his darkened face.

Glancing at Johnny's tattoos, her eyes widened in fright.

"I'm Johnny, an old friend of your father's. Would you mind drinking with me, at least?" The corners of his lips quirked, before raising a glass towards her.

Nancy wanted to refuse, but the glass was already right on the corners of her lips. Seeing the men's urging gazes, she knew that she had no choice but to consent.

"S--sure." "What a good sport Nancy!" "Let's propose a toast!"

Several men came to give their toasts. From her observation, it could be as useless as praising her eyes or her lips. Either way, she was still required to drink each glass from them.

Nancy wasn't a lightweight. She could handle her drinks, so it was weird that she was growing more and more dizzy by the minute after her third drink.

'There must be something in the wine!' she realized.

Generally speaking, she wouldn't see double no matter how much drinks she took. Nancy knew how to handle herself.

Her face paled as her limbs went cold at the thought of being trapped in a room with these unknown men.

"Who the hell are you?" she demanded.

"Who are we? Sweetie, your father owed us millions of dollars. Now that he's dead and you have escaped without a trace, where do we get the dollars now? Luckily, we meet you here." He bared out his yellow teeth. "Tell me, how will you pay us back?"

"I'll pay you, no matter the costs. Let me go first," Nancy demanded.

"But, Miss Nancy, I'm afraid you've misunderstood us," he started. "It's impossible for us to let you go. You're not worth much, but your body on the other hand..."

"Please don't!"

Nancy tried to shake off the hand running down her skin, but it was to no avail. There were hands holding her limbs just to prevent her from moving.

"Don't touch me. Please..." she pleaded. "Let me go. I'll find a way to pay you back."

One of the men reached forward to tear her collar. The ripping of fabric echoed throughout the room.

Their laughter felt like arrows stabbing her in the back. With the dim lighting and their eerie faces, it felt as if she was already facing her own version of hell.

'How do I get out? What should I do?

God, please, help me!'

Tears were running down her cheeks as she felt a sense of despair drowning her mind altogether. She glanced up at the men, her fingers curling into fists.

"At least do me a favor and stop pulling. I can take these off myself. I don't want my manager to get angry at me."

"You're such a clever girl, Nancy. At this rate, you might be able to pay your father's debt bit by bit."

"Let me go,"

she snapped, struggling to stand up on her own. At the same time, her eyes glanced all over the room, hoping to find a sharp object that she could use.

With her eyes shining with humiliation, she unbuttoned her shirt one by one.

When she knew that they were distracted, she quickly rushed out of the room and into the corridor.

Her fingernails pierced through her palm as she gritted her teeth.

She needed the pain to keep her awake. Now that her sight and strength were wavering, she needed to rely on her acute hearing to get her by.

Nancy stopped at another door, furrowing her eyebrows when she heard a faint sound, "Mr. Mu."

This was where she was supposed to be!

Mr. Mu!

She rammed through the door with all her might, glancing backwards to see that the men she'd escaped were now close to her.

Now was her chance!

She managed to pull open the door, only to see a tall figure standing before her.

It was Stefan.

Her legs were unsteady causing her to stumble into the man's arms, her arms trembling slightly.

"Help me..." she pleaded, tears welling up in her eyes. "Please, help me."

'If he could help me, then I'll treat him like a God from now on!'

"Help me..."

she begged once more before collapsing on the ground.

Chapter 3 Did We Have... Sex

Before Nancy lost her consciousness, she could hear Stefan scoffing in the background. "If you want to have some fun, take her somewhere else," he snapped at the men.

Just when she thought he'd be her lifesaver, he turned around and bit her right when she needed him the most.

Her hope was extinguished as her vision faded to darkness.

When the men heard his approval, they laughed boisterously as they lugged the unconscious girl towards the elevator.

Stefan glared at them coldly, his lips inching up to a smirk.

"Mr. Mu, what should we do next?" Mr. Yang, his secretary, asked in a low voice.

"Follow them, of course," Stefan replied.

In the Royal Club dressing room, Queenie was haunted by fear and guilt.

Her fingers trailed down the credit card she was holding as their words echoed at the back of her mind.

"As long as you get Miss Nancy to come here, we'll give you fifty thousand in tip. Otherwise..."

She had been hesitating the whole time. Until Nancy showed up in the elevator dressed in a waitress outfit.

She had considered it as a sign of her friend's fate.

However, the card holding the fifty grand still weighed down on her hand. She couldn't believe that she'd do this, that she'd actually sold her friend's virginity at this amount.

Although she was ashamed of herself, a part of her was also pleased to see her friend's worth.

Queenie didn't know why she felt satisfied.

She gazed at the cheesecake hidden in her designated dresser.

"Look, it's a cake from the coffee shop I work for during the day. I bought it just for you,"

Nancy had said to her, a bright smile marring her face.

Without any reason, Queenie felt her heart lurch at the sight. She grasped the card firmly in her hands as she ran out of the dressing room as fast as she could. She pressed the elevator button anxiously. 'Come on.'

Seeing that the elevator was still stuck in the third floor, she immediately rushed up. That was when she saw an unconscious Nancy being dragged by a group of large men.

Fear shot through her spine as Queenie hid from the men. She could only record what was happening.

Meanwhile, she could hear Stefan's calm voice. "Don't lose them. Take a clear picture of their faces."

She held her breath and inched deeper into the crevice in hopes that they didn't see her.

"Ask all of them to go back to the company to finish their jobs. Tomorrow morning, the base price for the land of the HS Group will be handed out," Stefan ordered.

Mr. Yang bowed his head. "Brilliant, Mr. Mu. Even if Albert won't take crap from anyone, he won't just let his brother-in-law go to prison like that."

When Queenie came out, Stefan and his secretary had already gone down the elevator.

She ran down the stairs, mind still in a daze.

Seeing her go down, Mr. Chen stomped towards her. From his hardening gaze, she could tell that he was growing impatient. "Weren't you in V304? How did Nancy get involved in this matter? Did you know Nancy was being taken away?"

"Is Johnny the brother-in-law of a local gangster?" she asked softly.

"Did Johnny tell you that? They don't normally know this but..." Mr. Chen quickly whispered the name in her ear.

Queenie lowered her head to look at the record on her phone before staring at Stefan's retreating figure.

'Mr. Mu, you'll think really highly of me in the future.'

"Hey, where are you going?" Mr. Chen staggered up once he saw Queenie walking away from him. "It's still office hours! I'll cut your pay!"

When Nancy woke up, she looked around to see that she was in a hotel.

The events of what happened hours before flooded in her mind.

She remembered the dim room and the men's wretched faces as their hands tried to run down her skin. She shivered in disgust.

Although she knew what happened, she couldn't remember how she got here.

Stefan's voice rang in her ears.

"If you want to have some fun, take her somewhere else," he snapped at the men holding her hostage.

With a trembling hand, she lifted the sheets to find

herself completely naked.

Cuts and bruises decorated her legs and arms as if she'd just been in a brawl.

Nancy closed her eyes, as tears streamed down her face.

Right then, she heard someone showering in the bathroom. Her hands curled into fists.

'Bastard!

I'll kill you!'

It wouldn't be a loss if she could get her hands on one of them. She glanced around the room in search for her clothes.

When Nancy couldn't find them, she decided to wrap herself with a quilt and walked towards the bathroom step by step.

She stopped, realizing that she didn't have a weapon with her.

Her eyes ran down the room, before widening in realization.

This was a presidential suite. As she walked over to the dining area, she saw a Western style breakfast set on the table. She grabbed the hilt of a knife,

inching towards the bathroom.

As soon as she was already at the door, her heart started beating quickly in her chest as the knife she was holding began to tremble.

With a splash, the door finally opened. Warm vapor escaped the bathroom.

Nancy squinted, trying to get a better look at the man stepping out.

Her jaw almost dropped.

The man was definitely not the fat guy who tried to drug her. No. This man had well-defined muscles, thin lips, and an equally angular jaw line!

It was Stefan!

He was just wearing a towel, wrapped around his hips. He was gripping it tightly as it wasn't tied up yet.

"Why are you here?" She lowered down the blade. "What did you do... to me?"

Her last two words were said so softly that even she couldn't hear herself.

"Get out of my way," he snapped, nose scrunching in disgust.

'How could it be him?' she thought.

'He just said how he didn't want to save me,

right?'

"No way!" Nancy waved her hands up in the air, raising her voice. "Did you

or did you not have sex with me?"

As she raised her arms, the sheet around her body slipped to the ground, allowing Stefan to see what was left for the imagination.

Stefan sighed, covering his eyes with one of his hands. "Go away," he snapped again.

From the way he phrased things, it seemed that he was growing more and more disgusted by her looks.

Nancy flushed as she hurriedly pulled the sheets up. "I'm sorry," she murmured,

before pausing.

'Why the hell am I saying sorry to him?

What the hell am I sorry for? Sorry for not being as pretty as you think?'

Nancy scowled. She was pathetic!

Unwilling to talk to her, Stefan reached for his table and sat down. Within seconds, he turned on his computer and stared at the screen intently.

Looking at his muscled back, Nancy gripped the sheet on her body.

She just needed to figure it out. "Mr. Mu..."

"Shut up!" Stefan pinched his nose in frustration. "Can you at least clean yourself up first? You're making me want to kill someone."

She stopped herself.

At that moment, she scrunched her nose once the stench of alcohol reached her nostrils.

"I..." She wasn't finished.

Stefan quickly picked his laptop and headed over to the sofa.

"I have to figure this out, please!" She pressed. "Last night, did we have sex?"

Just a look at her, Stefan already felt as if he was bathing in the depths of hell. He gritted his teeth.

As memories of last night washed him,

he found that he'd rather stay in the bathtub for the next three days.

'That damned woman threw up all over me, and she expects that I'll sleep with her?'

It was the first time he'd ever seen someone vomit, much less vomit on him!

Just the thought of it made him want to take another shower.

"Fuck off!" He scowled, not wanting to recall what happened.

'Remind me to never do anything out of kindness anymore,' he thought bitterly.

He saved her out of the goodness of his heart, but she paid him back by pestering him to no end.

"Did we do it or not?" She walked closer. "Please, it's really important to me."

"No, we didn't." Stefan picked up a pillow from the sofa and pressed it against her. "Now if you come any closer, I'll kill you!"

"Really?" Nancy jumped up. "So you saved me? Thank you! I'll go take the shower now."

When she finally retreated, his shoulders sagged in relief. However, just as soon as he threw the pillow far from him, she returned.

"Um...where are my clothes?"

"I threw them," he replied. "If you make one more noise, you'll follow them too."

"Okay." She pouted before heading over to the bathroom.

Nancy screamed the moment she saw herself in the mirror. Her fingers trailed down her mascara-coated cheekbones and bloodshot eyes. It was like seeing a ghost as her reflection. No wonder, Stefan hated looking at her.
