Chapter 1 Framed

It was very early in the morning, and the sun had just risen. Its sunlight blotted the ground lazily. The surroundings were still so quiet, as many people had not gotten up from bed yet. But inside the Yan family villa, there seemed to have a war.

"Dad, are you crazy? Why do you want me to marry that disabled man? No way! That's impossible!"

The woman's voice that used to be lovely now angrily reverberated inside the room.

Grace Yan opened the door and slowly walked in.

It was very rare for the Yan family to fight like this.

Her lips curved into a derisive smile as she lowered her head.

No one had even noticed that she was already there.

It seemed that the fight would not stop as the man shouted, "What are you talking about? Don't you know that if you get his property, you can get anything you want for the rest of your life?"

The beautiful woman got more furious. Her fair face was already red with anger, which made her look more attractive.

"Dad, you know that Ethan An is a disabled man, and he has to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. He can't give me the life I want. Besides, I heard that his face is permanently disfigured. How can I spend my life with such a man?"

'Ethan An?' Grace Yan was about to turn around and go back to her room, but she suddenly stopped when she heard the name. She had heard of this man before. She didn't expect that William Yan would sacrifice his favorite daughter for his own interest.

At this moment, he was really enraged. He stretched out his hand, pressed Ella Yan's shoulder tightly, and said earnestly, "I'm doing this for your own good. After marrying him, your future will be secured. If he dies, you will inherit his fortune."

But Ella Yan remained unconvinced. She said, "Dad, why don't you marry him yourself? Why me? I don't want to risk my happiness for his money. Oh, by the way, why don't you just let Grace marry him? We all hate her, don't we?"

Ella Yan pointed at Grace Yan, who was standing at the side and smiled. Her eyes shone with malice. She was happy that she could finally get out of this mess.

Upon hearing what Ella Yan said, William Yan turned around and looked at Grace Yan up and down. Ella Yan was right. He had always regarded Grace Yan as a burden of the Yan family. Now might be a good opportunity to get rid of her. If Ella Yan didn't tell him, he wouldn't have thought of this idea.

In the end, William Yan made up his mind. With a stern look on his face, he said to Ella Yan, "I know what to do. Go back to your room. Aren't you going to a nail salon this afternoon for a manicure?"

Understanding the situation, Ella Yan jumped up, kissed William Yan on the cheek, and left. But before she could finally disappear from the door, she turned to Grace Yan and smiled triumphantly.

This time, only William Yan and Grace Yan were left in the room.

William Yan waved at Grace Yan and motioned for her to come closer. Left with no choice, Grace Yan unwillingly walked towards him with hesitant steps. She didn't know what was on his mind, but she knew that it wasn't good at all.

Although his face looked cunning, William Yan pretended to be a kind father and said, "Grace, I have been supporting you for so long since you were a kid. But now that you've grown up and our family is in trouble, perhaps it's time that you help us."

Grace Yan could already guess what William Yan wanted to say. Looking livid, she said, "No. I won't marry that disabled man either."

William Yan flared up when Grace Yan refused decisively. For the past twenty-three years, Grace Yan had lived in the Yan family villa. All the money that she spent was from the Yan family. And without him, she wouldn't be born into this world.

He stepped back and nodded derisively. "Very well. Now that you have grown up, you are bold enough to go against me. But have you forgotten that over the past twenty-three years, the money that you squandered is mine?"

Grace Yan gritted her teeth and clenched her fists upon hearing his words. It was true that he supported her in the past. But whatever he had spent on her, she had already paid him over. Everything she wore and used right now was all earned by her. She owed him nothing now.

William Yan was stunned. He didn't expect that Grace Yan would be so tough. For a moment, he didn't know what to do. Eventually, he just snorted, turned around, and left.

But would this matter end up so easily?

In the evening, Grace heard some knocks on her door. Confused, she stood up and opened it. But before she could even see who was outside, darkness overwhelmed her as she passed out.

Tonight, the stars were sparse, so the sky was dark. An ordinary car slowly pulled over in front of a luxurious villa. It was surrounded by tall fences. Presumably, this large area of land belonged to only one person.

The driver got out of the car, walked to the trunk, and took out something there. It seemed that it was something heavy because he had some difficulties carrying it to the gate. The driver then talked to the maid who had been waiting outside. The maid lifted the black cloth with hesitation.

A surprised expression flashed across her face when she saw the beautiful woman under the black cloth. But after a moment, she nodded and let the driver in.

Grace Yan felt that her body was so heavy, and she was sleepy. She felt like she was somewhere else. When she was about to get up, she was so weak that she shrank back to the bed. Her eyelids were too heavy. Despite her unwillingness, her eyes shut, and she fell into slumber again.

Grace Yan woke up when she felt like someone was pressing on her. A feeling of suffocation spread throughout her limbs.

Subconsciously, she punched whatever that heavy object on top of her body. After hearing a muffled snort, she felt that the weight was removed.

Ethan An rubbed his aching chest with one hand in astonishment. He then stared at the woman beside him in a daze.

It was already nine o'clock in the morning. Did she intend to stay in bed for the whole day? His new maid probably didn't know that she had to start taking care of him before nine o'clock.

As doubt rose up in his heart, Ethan An stretched out his hand and pinched the woman's cheek again. And he was surprised that her skin felt so soft.

He was obsessed with this kind of softness, so he touched her face once again. But this time, he let out a harrowing howl.

"What the hell did you just do?" Ethan An asked innocently and withdrew his hand quickly.

Grace Yan was enraged for being awoken so early in the morning. She wanted to punch the man in front of her again, but she found out that weakness permeated her whole body, and she felt powerless.

What happened last night slowly flashed back in her memory. She could only shake her head.

It must be William Yan. She didn't expect that a father like him existed in this world. How could he use his own daughter as a pawn?

Chapter 2 A New Environment

Grace stood up and looked around in silence. She must be in the An family villa. As she scanned the room, she noticed that there was nothing special about it.

She slowly turned around and looked at the man on the bed.

Her mouth gave a slight twitch when she asked in a somewhat stiff tone, "What are you doing here?"

Ethan found Grace strange yet funny. She was the one who climbed into his bed in the middle of the night. He didn't even sleep well because she kept on tossing and turning the whole night. Now that she woke up, the first thing she did was hit him. She even asked him what he was doing in his own room.

When Ethan didn't answer, Grace didn't mind him anymore. She didn't even notice that he was also in a daze. She slowly walked down and stretched. Her strength had been gradually restored.

She clenched her fists for a while, then loosened them up. After making sure that she could already walk steadily, she opened the door and walked out, totally ignoring Ethan behind her. Grace only wanted to do one thing. She would go back to the Yan family and ask for an explanation.

But on the next second, she was stunned.

Along the hallway, people were standing on both sides, extending to somewhere she couldn't even see. Before she could figure out what was going on, everyone greeted her in unison, "Good morning, Mrs. An."

Grace turned around and looked behind her in confusion. But there was no one else there aside from her. Were these people talking to her? She looked around again, but she couldn't really see anyone. Who was the "Mrs. An" they were addressing?

In the end, Grace decided to just ignore them. She was about to walk forward when an old man blocked her way. She stared at him warily.

The old man pushed his glasses against the bridge of his nose and said politely, "Mrs. An, I'm the butler. You can call me Daniel."

Grace just gave him a perfunctory smile and turned around to walk away. However, Daniel Liang stretched out his hand to stop her.

With a hint of warning in her eyes, Grace looked at him and said coldly, "I'll only say it once. Get out of my way."

Daniel Liang was stunned by her reaction. But then, he reached out his hand again and said, "I am the butler. You can... Ahhh!"

Much to everyone's surprise, Daniel Liang's scream resounded through the hallway at once.

Before he could finish his words, he heard a crisp sound that came from his arm.

When he turned to look at it, Grace was still holding his dislocated arm. It seemed that she twisted his arm before he could even know it.

Daniel Liang shivered. He was in so much pain that he didn't know what to say. He had seen a lot of women in the An family, but it was his first time to meet such a barbaric one. Was she really from the Yan family? But she seemed like a shrew.

Grace sneered and let go of his hand indifferently. She then turned around and left as if nothing had happened. But after taking only a few steps forward, the phone in her pocket vibrated.

She stopped, took it out, and looked at the screen. Upon seeing the caller's name, a trace of joy flashed through her eyes, and she quickly answered it. But before she could even tell him what was going on, the caller scolded her.

His voice sounded so furious. He roared, "Grace, where are you right now? How could you do such a shameless thing behind my back? And you still have the nerve to answer my call? How brazen you are!"

Grace was stunned. She couldn't understand what Willy Ye was talking about.

How could he scold her like this without even asking what was going on with her? Anger suddenly rose up in her heart.

She moved the phone to her other ear and said with a gloomy face, "Are you kidding me? What did I do to you?"

Seeing that Grace was not willing to admit the truth, Willy Ye nodded mockingly and said, "Okay. I was wrong about you. You cheated on me and hooked up with Ethan An. I didn't know that money mattered to you that much. Did you even know that he was sexually impotent? You disregarded your own reputation for the sake of money. From now on, we're over!"

"What? I hooked up with Ethan An? You bastard! What are you..."

Before Grace could finish her words, Willy had already hung up.

She was stunned for a moment. Her head was spinning around.

She had no idea what was happening. This morning seemed to be so terrible.

This time, Daniel finally found a chance to speak. Enduring the pain, he walked toward Grace and said with a grin, "Mrs. An, please be aware that since yesterday, you have become Mr. Ethan An's rightful wife. Your marriage has been published to various newspapers and news agencies this morning."

Grace was dumbstruck. Daniel's words were like lightning that hit her heart.

How could things happen so fast without her knowledge?

Still in disbelief, Grace reached out her hand and rubbed her right ear. With raised eyebrows, she then looked at Daniel and said, "Wait. What did you just say?"

Daniel could now feel a lot of pressure, but he pretended to be calm and repeated what he had just said.

The atmosphere in the hall turned cold. The look on Grace's face became even worse. 'An incompetent man?' It only dawned on her now that the man in the room just now was Ethan An.

A murderous look flashed through her eyes. She pushed Daniel away and was about to go out. But a group of security guards appeared at the door. Their steps were surprisingly consistent as if they were soldiers.

They also moved in unison.

Staring at the group of men in front of her, Grace hesitated for a moment. She then looked around through the corners of her eyes. There were only fifty of them. If she was careful enough, it wouldn't be that difficult to escape.

Daniel just stood aside and watched quietly. Their new hostess seemed to be much more interesting than those women before.

He subconsciously rubbed his injured arm, and his lips curved up into a smile.

He had a feeling that the villa would be in chaos for quite a while.

Grace was now like a frightened kitten. She observed the people around her vigilantly. After a while, she rushed over to the side, where there were fewer people. She was like a wild mare that escaped from its rein.

The maids screamed simultaneously, and the security guards followed her right away. They tried to catch her, but Grace ran nimbly to avoid them.

In an instant, the villa was in turmoil. Indeed, Daniel was right.

Chapter 3 I Want To Go Home

Ethan heard the commotion outside, and his eyebrows creased in confusion. He had no idea what was going on. It had been a long time since the villa became this lively.

Out of curiosity, he called the security guard at his door to help him sit in his wheelchair.

The security then pushed him slowly out of the room and entered the living room.

He looked around with a faint smile. The tidy and orderly living room turned messy. It was as if a tornado had just passed by. Holding back his amusement, Ethan looked at Daniel and asked, "Daniel, what is happening here?"

Seeing Ethan, Daniel forgot his painful arm. He walked up to Ethan, shook his head embarrassingly, and said, "Mr. An, this..."

But he didn't know how to explain everything. When Ethan noticed that Daniel became speechless, a hunch was formed in his mind. This must have something to do with the woman in his room just now.

At this moment, Ethan saw Grace dexterously shuttling through the group of security guards. Her movements were like a magnet that made him unable to take his gaze away. Wherever she went, his eyes followed.

She was so agile that the security guards had a hard time catching her. They were all out of breath now. No matter how hard they tried, they couldn't even touch the hem of her dress.

Grace angrily ran to the door. She then turned around and stared at the people who had been chasing her. Her voice filled with hatred when she yelled, "I just want to go home. Get out of my way!"

The security guards were stunned for a moment. They were shocked to see the fury in her eyes.

The resentment in there was so obvious.

No one dared to act rashly this time. All of a sudden, some men were already wailing on the floor. Grace must have hit them really hard.

A trace of surprise flashed across Ethan's eyes as he observed Grace carefully. When she punched him this morning, he had already known that she was different from the other women. But he didn't expect that she would be this tough.

Grace must have felt that someone was staring at her because her eyes moved to Ethan, and she looked at him with contempt. 'He can't even stand up. He must be the disabled Ethan,' she sneered inwardly. He seemed to have fair skin. But it was a pity that he was not her type.

Until now, she still couldn't believe that she was married to such a man.

With a disdainful look on her face, she quickly opened the door. But before she closed it behind her, she turned around and gave Ethan the finger.

Everyone who had seen it was petrified. They didn't expect her to be that bold.

Although Ethan was not favored by his father, he was still a member of the An family. That woman was really something.

With a strange light shining in his eyes, Ethan completely ignored what Grace had done just now. He turned to guard behind him and ordered, "Let's follow her."

The guard gladly agreed and pushed the wheelchair out of the door under everyone's gaze.

Grace could feel the beads of sweat dripping from her forehead as she wandered around the villa, looking for the exit. It seemed like she was in a maze.

She paused for a moment and wiped her sweat. After gasping for some air, she turned around and started another journey to look for the exit again. At the back of her mind, she couldn't help cursing the people inside for not telling her the way out of this villa.

When Ethan came out of the villa door, he was stunned to see Grace running around.

It looked like she was looking for something. Whatever it was, he felt like he could help her with it.

Ethan waved his hand and said to the guard behind him, "Take me near her. I want to know what is happening."

The guard couldn't help blushing when he saw the girlish shyness in Ethan's eyes. He nodded and pushed his wheelchair forward.

"What are you looking for?"

Grace froze when she heard the magnetic voice of a man behind her. When she turned around, she met his clear eyes.

'This man is definitely a gay.'

This was the first thought that came to her mind. Seeing that he did not have any malice, she honestly said that she had lost her way. She thought that the man had a position in this family and he knew the way out.

It was only then that Ethan realized that she couldn't find the exit. He nodded, squinted his eyes, and smiled. "Where are you going? I can take you out."

Excitement was written all over Grace's face when she heard what Ethan said. She ran straight to him and smiled, "Really? Let's go."

This time, Ethan couldn't suppress the smile on his face anymore. He turned and told the guard behind him to go back inside and let Grace replace him in pushing the wheelchair.

With Ethan's guidance, Grace arrived at the exit soon. She was so shocked when she realized that she had already passed by this way many times earlier. It only took them a few turns to reach the exit. How could she miss it for so many times?

Her mouth twitched slightly. But she still forced a smile and walked in front of Ethan. She then said, "Well, thank you for showing me the way. Bye now. I hope that we will not see each other again."

Grace ran as fast as she could without looking back. Finally, she could go back home. Ethan was left alone, frowning. He called the guard again with his phone, and they followed Grace.

Grace arrived at the Yan family villa without knowing that Ethan had tailed her.

As soon as she entered the house, she rushed to William's room.

With eyes filled with hatred, she pushed the door open, rushed to him, and yelled, "Is this how you deal with me after I didn't agree to marry Ethan?"

Ethan heard her angry voice, so he hurriedly urged the guard to push him in.

The guard refused at first. But when he saw the tears in his eyes, he had no choice but to give in.

William was so surprised by Grace's sudden appearance that the cup of coffee in his hand fell with a bang. In an instant, the flawless document on the table was dyed brown.

The room was filled with the fragrance of coffee, but it didn't alleviate the rising temperature there.

Anger surged up in William's heart as soon as he saw Grace in front of him. He thumped the desk with his hands forcefully and stood up. He raised his hand and slapped her across the face. "Is this how you talk to your father?"
