Chapter 1 Allen

Allen sighed as she tied on her apron, washed her hands, and headed to the counter. Working at Ohm's Place at 20 was something she never really wanted. However, in order to pay for her college classes, she needed the money, and her brother, who is an Alpha who just happens to own the cafe, gave her a job a year ago. Ohm had taken over the cafe when he was 18 and Allen was 19. The owner before was getting pretty old, and when he retired, he handed over the Cafe to Ohm just like that. And of course, Ohm changed the name as well.

And the funny part is that the owner is none other than their own Grandfather.

Allen's story is quite funny; when she presented as an omega at the age of thirteen, everything started to go downhill. Her parents would never show her affection and only talk to her when she was told to do something, and the same goes for her grandfather. Allen wanted to make her parents proud of her, and she did everything she was asked. The Jameswood family was known for being alphas, and when word got out that the oldest child was an omega, it did not go very well. Whenever someone did something wrong, Allen was blamed, no matter who did it. When people asked Jia and Jones how their children were, they talked about Kara and Ohm but never Allen. After a while, Allen learned to accept that she would never be good enough for her parents. Her siblings got her through because they loved and supported her, and they didn't care that she was an Omega.

When Allen turned 18, she moved out right away. She had done summer jobs and babysitting so she could save up to get her own place. After she moved into her new apartment, finding a job was a whole new issue. Hardly anyone would accept an Omega working for them, especially a female one. It would cause way too many distractions-that's what she was told anyway. Her sister, Kara, who was a year younger, helped Allen get money so she could pay her rent. She protested each time Kara would give her money, but she always shoved the money in her hands and told her that she would pay her back whenever she liked. Kara now works at her favorite clothing store and does modeling gigs on the side, which pays very well.

Once Allen got to the counter, she noticed Ohm walk in and turn the closed sign to open. The cafe opened at 8 a.m., and it was usually the busiest time. People who had work would stop by to get coffee, and students who lived close by would get coffee as well and maybe a muffin or something. Allen nodded at Ohm, and Ohm nodded back as he walked into the back room. When Ohm walked over to the counter, he looked over at Allen and grinned. That was never a good sign.

"What?" Allen asked, raising an eyebrow.

"The run is two days away. Are you excited?" Ohm asked.

Ohm had found his mate at the mating run four years ago with another Alpha named Jessica. It was unusual for two Alphas to get together because usually their personalities wouldn't clique and they would fight for dominance. However, the two seemed to go together perfectly. Kara had found her mate in a boy named Simon three years ago, who was a beta.

Allen loved her siblings; she really did. But it hurt when she saw that her siblings were happy with their mates. No one has ever wanted Allen, well, like that anyway. Sure, people wanted Allen, but that was only to have sex because most people thought that's what Omega was only good for, and Allen being very attractive was no help.

"You ask this every year, Ohm, and every year I say the same thing. No." Allen sighed as she wiped down the counters.

"Allen..." Ohm sighed.

"Whatever Ohm. I've gone to this thing since I was 13, and no one has ever wanted me." Allen replied.

Ohm was about to respond when customers came barging into the cafe.

"We're not done talking about this," Ohm mumbled as Allen started to take people's orders.

Thirty minutes later, the crowd died down, but it was still pretty busy. Allen was busy fixing someone a coffee when she heard Ohm mumble, "Oh no."

Allen turned around and handed the customer their coffee. She then looked over at Ohm and saw him glaring at something, or more like someone. Following Ohm's eyes, she saw none other than Seth walk in. Allen hated the guy. Seth would always make creepy comments about Allen. Seth was an alpha, and the three of them and Kara had gone to high school together. Ever since Seth saw Allen for the first time, he would always bother Allen, and most of the time it made Allen very uncomfortable.

"I can take his order if you want," Ohm said.

Allen sighed. "No, it's fine. You're faster at making drinks anyway, and we have a hold-up."

"Are you sure? Allen, I don't want him near you." Ohm said it using his Alpha tone.

Allen whimpered and flinched slightly. When an Alpha would use their Alpha voice around an Omega, it would make the Omega want to give in and submit.

"I'll be fine, Ohm," Allen said, clenching her jaw. She wasn't weak, and she didn't need an Alpha protecting her all the time.

"Okay, siso," Ohm said, turning around to start making more caffeine-related drinks.

Seth was next in line, and when he got to the counter, he smirked at Allen as he looked at the Omega up and down. Allen was wearing a black beanie, a white t-shirt that hugged her body, and black skinny jeans. It was Ohm who came up with the uniform. White t-shirts and black skinny jeans. Allen didn't like it at all, but since it was Ohm Cafe, she wore it anyway.

"Hello, they're gorgeous. It smells lovely in here...or is that just your scent?" Seth purred.

Every Omega had a unique scent. To some people, their scent smelled heavenly, and to others, it smelled horrible. It depended on the person. However, to most people, Allen's scent was on the heavenly side. She smelled like Vanilla with chocolate chip cookies, along with the smell of rain. To some people, it would sound weird that those things would smell good together, but they did.

"What can I get you, Seth?" Allen asked, rolling her eyes.

Seth raised an eyebrow and shook his head. "Has anyone ever told you that you shouldn't use such an attitude towards an Alpha?"

Allen sighed. "If you don't want anything, then get out of line."

"I actually don't want anything. I just wanted to say that I'm looking forward to the run." And with that, Seth was gone.

Allen paled. Seth had never attended the runs, so why now? Allen looked over at Ohm, who was watching her from the corner of his eye. Ohm nodded at Allen, and Allen took off her apron and headed into the backroom to try not to get herself worked up and cause herself a panic attack.

After a while, there were no customers in line, so Ohm headed to the back room to check on her sister and best friend. Allen was sitting in one of the chairs with her elbows on her knees and her head in her hands.

"Allen, are you alright?"

Allen's head jolted up. "No. I'm fucking not alright."

"He won't get to you. The woods are pretty big, Allen."

Allen rolled her eyes. "That doesn't mean anything when he knows my scent, Ohm."

Ohm sighed. "Okay. How about when I close the cafe, we get out of here and go for a run? Tomorrow we can figure something out, okay?"

"Sounds good," Allen said, nodding.

Ohm smiled. "Great, now let's get back to work."

Chapter 2 Alpha

It was now 8 p.m., and Ohm closed the cafeteria early. Usually, the cafe would stay open until midnight, but Ohm wanted to close it early so he could get Allen's mind off Seth.

Ohm and Allen both drove their cars to the beginning of the woods. Both of them parked their cars and got out. They both walked over to each other and then turned their bodies so they were facing the woods.

"So I think we should check out this place as well," Ohm said with a grin.

Allen's eyes went wide, and she shook her head. "Oh, we can't. That side of the woods is private territory."

Ohm still had that smug look on his face. "Come on, Allen, don't be a baby."

Allen closed her eyes. Ohm was an alpha, and whenever he demanded things like that, it made the omega in her want to obey.

When Allen opened her eyes, she saw Ohm wink at her, crouch down, and within minutes be in his wolf form. His fur was golden, and his eyes were golden as well.

The color of the eyes changed whenever someone transformed. It was gold for alphas, green for betas, and blue for omegas.

"Seriously, Ohm, we can't go there," Allen said, looking down at the wolf.

Ohm shook his head and went into a full sprint, leaving Allen in the dust. Allen sighed and crouched down, turning herself into a wolf.

Allen Wolf was gorgeous. Her fur is like snow white, while her tail, ears, and paws are black.

Allen huffed and started to run as well. She saw Ohm far ahead of her, and he turned left. When Allen got to the point where Ohm had turned, she couldn't see the Alpha anywhere. She stopped running, closed her eyes, and sniffed the air. When she finally caught the scent of Ohm, she broke out into a full run once again. Ten minutes later, Ohm was still nowhere to be seen. Allen looked around and realized she was lost. She stopped running once more, and when she sniffed the air, she couldn't smell Ohm's scent anymore because there was a new one, and it was strong. It was Alpha, and boy, did it smell really amazing, like home.

Allen shook her head as she tried to concentrate on Ohm's scent, which was barely there, and before she could get it, she was tackled on the ground and was now laying on her back with another wolf pinning her down. The wolf was huge, and it smelled like the same alpha she had been smelling before. The wolf's fur was black with a reddish tint, and his eyes were gold. He was gorgeous, and Allen had never seen a wolf like that before. When Allen looked up, she saw the Alpha growling at Allen and showing his canine teeth. Allen whimpered and closed her eyes. She knew this was a bad idea. She should not have run after Ohm, but of course she is his older sister; it's her duty to protect her younger siblings, so she did.

Suddenly, she no longer felt a wolf on top of her but a human body. When she opened her eyes, she saw the most beautiful man she had ever seen, but that wasn't all. It was the alpha of all alphas. It was none other than Sebestian. When Allen looked into the Alpha's eyes, she whimpered again because now she was scared. She didn't know what Sebestian was going to do to her.

"Shift." The Alpha demanded

Allen whined as her body shifted as a human automatically because Alpha had commanded her. Allen was finally in her human form, and she felt Sebestian grab her wrists and pin her down.

"Please don't hurt me," Allen whispered.

"What are you doing here?" Sebestian demanded.

"I was following my brother. I told him it wasn't a good idea. He wanted to see the well, but his friends told him he shouldn't come to this part of the woods. I'm a sorry alpha." Allen whimpered.

Sebestian, who was straddling Allen, lifted his free hand that wasn't holding down Allen's wrist and brought it up to Allen's face, slowly stroking her cheek with a finger.

Allen knew that Sebestian could probably smell her scent, and Sebestian obviously knew that Allen was an omega.

Sebestian then leaned his head down, and his nose was rubbing up against Allen's neck. Allen froze. Sebestian was scenting her. That never happened to her. Sure, many people want to smell her, but they never do because, well, it's Allen, a pathetic Omega.

Allen shivered when she felt Sebestian place a tiny kiss on her neck. Sebestian then lifted his head and looked at Allen with stern eyes.

"What is your name, little omega?" Sebestian asked.

"Allen..."

"But I call you a flower." Sebestian says.

Allen looked at him in shock.

"Well, flower, I don't want to see you here again, got it?'' Sebestian growled.

"Yes."

"Yes, what?"

"Yes alpha."

Sebestian smirked and got up off of Allen. "Good. Now go back. Don't worry; your brother is already waiting for you by your car. Goodbye gorgeous" With a blink of an eye, Sebestian was gone. Allen got up and ran until she was out of the woods. When she spotted Ohm with Kara, but wait, what the hell is Kara doing here? She ran over to them and gave Ohm her infamous death eye.

Kara looked over and raised her eyebrow. She then sniffed the air and leaned closer to Allen, who was sniffing her. When Kara pulled back, her eyes went wide.

"Why do you smell like that? Did you run into another Alpha? Did they hurt you?" Kara asked.

Allen sighed and ran a hand through her hair. "I'm fine, Kara. I am just going back home and asking this stupid question: what happened?" Allen glares at Ohm, who just grins.

Before Allen got inside her car, Kara grabbed her wrist. Allen, tell me what happened right now."

Allen closed her eyes and curled her hand into a fist. "Yes, I ran into an alpha. Just drop it, Kara."

Kara sighed. "He didn't hurt you."

No, like I said, I'm fine."

Ohm nodded. "Okay, girl. Whatever you say, I'll see you tomorrow, siso."

"Yes, go to hell; I'm taking her home; you're an idiot." Kara smacks Ohm's head, who just continues grinning like the idiot he is.

"And you let go."

Kara said as she got into Allen's car and drove them back to Allen's apartment.

---

The next day went pretty quickly. Allen woke up, took a shower (She didn't take one the other night because the smell of Sebestian on her made her more relaxed and helped her fall asleep), ate breakfast, and headed to work. Work went by pretty fast as well. It was now 11:30 at night, and Allen was so glad that Seth didn't stop by. The cafe was mainly empty except for a couple who were sitting by a window, enjoying the coffee. When they left, it was now midnight, and Ohm turned the open sign to close.

"So tomorrow is the mating run," Ohm said as Allen started cleaning the counter.

"Yep," Allen said, trying to get away from the topic.

"You're going, right?"

Allen stopped cleaning and looked over her stupid brother with an unamused look on her face, which clearly indicates, 'I am done with you'.

"You're kidding, right? Of course, I am going. I literally have no choice; remember me being a pathetic Omega who needs to follow all the stupid rules."

"It was just a simple question; calm down," Ohm said while rolling his eyes.

"Well, I'm not excited, Ohm. It's just another reminder that no one wants me and that I'm going to be forever unmated. it's fine."

"It's not right, Allen. I know many Alphas and Betas want you as their mate, Allen."

Allen raises an eyebrow. "Really?"

"Do you not see how many alphas, even betas, look at you?" Ohm asked.

Allen huffed. "It's only because I am an omega and they can smell me or something."

Ohm shook his head. "I mean, yeah, that's a part of it, but siso, you're a catch. I mean, you don't compare to me, but still."

Allen smiled and threw the wet washcloth at a strangled Ohm.

When they cleaned the cafe up, they said their goodbyes, and Allen went home with only one thought in her mind. The mating run was tomorrow, and Allen was nervous, a little excited, but most of all, scared.

Chapter 3 Mating Run

It was the day of the run, and Allen was standing alongside the other omegas. Looking over her shoulder, she could see the alphas looking at the group, along with some betas. Allen couldn't help her shaky hands as she waited for the event holder to start speaking. The run was held at the woods, the same one Allen and Ohm were at the other night. However, they couldn't get too far because this was the only day.

Sebestian territory was fenced off, so no one could run into that part of the woods.

The run went like this: The Omegas lined up horizontally facing the woods. When they hear a gunshot, they race off into the woods, turning into their wolf form. They would find a hiding spot and wait until they heard the last gunshot. When the second gunshot is heard, the betas will race off into the woods. Finally, when the last gunshot is heard, it's time for the alphas to run into the woods. Alphas would usually go for omegas, while betas usually went for other betas. However, there are times when betas and alphas go for each other, or a beta gets an omega. Once everyone is in the woods in their wolf shapes, the alphas will search out a scent, and when they find one they like, they will look for the omega that the scent belonged to. Once they found that omega, the Omega would start off in a sprint, and that's when the chase began.

Once the chase ends and the Alpha has caught the Omega (or the Beta has caught a Beta, etc.), they will give them the bite, claiming them as their mate.

The bite, however, is only the first step in claiming a mate.

"Alright! I am so excited to announce the annual Mating run has begun!" The event organizer announced it through a microphone.

Most of them cheered, but Allen just stared into the woods. She really didn't want to be here. Looking back over at the Alphas, she looked around, and then she froze.

Seth was among the alphas, looking straight at Allen with a big smirk on his face.

"The run will last until the strike of midnight. If you manage to find a mate, then congratulations. If you don't manage to find a mate, then there is always next year.

"There are no rules once you step foot in the woods; just try not to kill anyone. Alright, let the run begin!"

The sound of a gunshot caused Allen to jerk her head, so she was no longer looking at Seth. She saw all the omegas that she had been standing with now run into the woods, turning into their wolves. Allen took a deep breath in and out and then started to sprint. Halfway towards the woods, she jumped, and when she landed, she was in her wolf form.

Allen ran past trees and spotted a small pond. She ran over and looked around for a place to hide. In the corner of her eye, she saw two trees, and between them were a few brushes.

Allen knew this wasn't the best hiding spot, and she was about to look somewhere else when she heard the last and final gunshot. The next thing she heard was growling and howling. Allen had no choice. She ran over to the trees.

Ten minutes later, she hears twigs breaking and a growl getting closer and closer. A few seconds later, she hears nothing. When she turns her head to the side, she sees a wolf staring right at her. The wolf was gray with a black stripe running down his back. Allen knew exactly who this was. It was Seth. Allen starts to run; she wants to get away from him as fast as she can. However, she doesn't make it far. She gets tackled to the ground, causing her to hit her head pretty hard. When she looks up, she sees Seth hovering over her. Allen closes her eyes, waiting for whatever happens to happen, when she feels the weight being pushed off of her, and she is now being picked up by the back of her neck.

Allen's eyes snap open, and when she looks up, she sees the most beautiful wolf. It's the same wolf she met in the woods. It's none other than Sebestian. Allen's head is throbbing with pain now, and she can't help but close her eyes as the sun peeking out from the tree hits her eyes. Minutes later, she was placed on the ground, and when she opened her eyes, she realized that they were in a cave. Sebestian is now standing over her, like the first time they met. Sebestian then turns back into his human self, and when Allen moves her head to get a good look at the alpha, she whimpers in pain.

"It's okay. You're going to be okay, flower." Sebestian whispered. "I need you to shift."

Allen shakes her head and whimpers once more.

"Shift Allen!" Sebestian demands in his alpha voice.

Allen whines, and within a minute, she is back to her human self once more.

"Gorgeous," Sebestian says as he drops his head and rubs his nose against the side of Allen's neck. Allen tilts her head to the side. When Sebestian gets a good whiff, he feels like he could get high off of Allen's scent. It was the most delicious thing he had ever smelled in his lifetime, and Sebestian was glad that it belonged to the beautiful omega.

Sebestian smirks and lifts his head up. He then looks directly into Allen's eyes, which are now half-open.

"You're mine," Sebestian growls, bringing his lips to Allen's pulse point. His eyes are now gold and bright, and the next thing Allen knows, she feels his teeth latching into her neck.

Allen gasps at the feeling. It's painful, but at the same time, it feels good. Allen closes her eyes as she feels Sebestian pull away and lick over where he had bit the Omega.

Suddenly, there is a growl and a howl getting closer to the cave's entrance. Sebestian looks over at Allen, whose eyes are still closed. It drains some energy from a person when they get the mating bite, so Sebestian knows that Allen is feeling tired and weak.

Sebestian walks over to Allen, gently lifts her up into his arms, and carries her to the back of the cave. He sets her down gently and kisses the top of her forehead.

"Sleep, my little omega. Your alpha will keep you safe."
