My Priority

Michael's POV

I came out of the house fully dressed for work in a black suit, red tie , well polished black shoes and my briefcase held firmly in my left hand.

I was heading towards My Lexus RX 300 when the gate man obstructed me holding a brown envelope, I wondered what was the cause of all these.

" Good day sir......One...wemen..No sorry...Lady gave me...this...To ...Give to you" He counted his words slowly, he wasn't affluent in English.

I arched my right eyebrow and collected it " what could this be, a letter or contract or...." My head contemplated.

" Saliyu..." That was the gate man's name who was still standing in front of me

" Did the so called lady describe why she gave you this or told you anything" I asked but he shook his head negatively.

" No...No...She.... Don't....She just ...Told me to...Give...It...To...You...Her.... Identity...Was...Not clear" the way he counted his words and pronounced rubbish was making me run out of patience.

I dismissed him and decided to check the content of the envelope, it was even a letter

" Am sure you are living well happily while I sulk sweetie Just go pick the God damn baby you asked me to abort Outside your fucken house before reading further. You Will finally know who wrote to you after finishing this Letter,f**k you."

The envelope and the letter fell off my hands as I staggered out of shock. This can't possibly be, My head began spinning and I rushed outside the gate and search every nook and cranny of the compound and then, found her,my beautiful daughter.

I already knew it was from Olivia, I hurt her bad, she can't possibly leave right?

I carried the baby carefully and never fogot to pick up the envelope lying on the floor before getting in. I placed the child on the sofa and continued reading....

" That was the result of the seed you showed in me that Wonderful night. How could you ! How could you Michaely ou don't know how much I hate you right know,you disgust me, I hate you so much with passion. I trusted you and sacrificed everything for you but you...You... You see Baby love...I have gone far away from you.... where you can never ever find me, I don't want to ever see you fucken face again. Please take care of our daughter and if you wish, kill her......".

The letter fell from my hands and cold sweat ran down my face, tear gathered up in my eyes and threatened to fall and finally fell. I was devastated, I tried to speak but it was as if my mouth has already been sealed.

I glanced at the beautiful baby playing with her fingers and my heart shattered, this wasn't what I planned for,just a mistake.....Tears flowed continuously as I banged my fist on the wall and cried out in pains.

I immediately reached out for my phone searching for her contact , the phone fell down due to my shaky hands. It took for like eternity before I found her contact, I dailed it with my hopes high but I was shocked

"She has blocked me" my heart screamed and I threw the phone at the wall making it shatter into pieces. I truly love her, with my body, my soul, my heart, my everything . I was just too anxious and wasn't thinking straight and said nonsense out of my mouth.

My heart was dividing into two, can't believe this is real, like for real!

I took my second phonr and dialled my best friend's number and he picked up almost immediately

Maxwell: Hello Nigga

me:just come to my house ..... Straight away

Maxwell: what's the..........( Line drops dead)

I immediately cut the call and staggered towards the bar in my sitting room, like I wasn't thinking anymore, I gulped half bottle of apothic red wine down my throat. Something I never did before, like I mean I never tasted alcohol.

But this is what I need right now.......

Maxwell's POV

I was surprised at the sudden call and I smelt something was wrong.

" Baby, what's wrong" Unice My fiance asked and searched my brain for what to say cause i'on know what to say.

" I don't really know but I need to...." She interrupted me immediately

" get down to a person house right ?Like seriously. But would you have to spoil every good mood we have together, gosh! Am loosing it" she said and flipped her backwards and I sighed.

" It's Michael, I think something is amiss cause he doesn't sound very alright" I explained but she scoffed

" Oh really! For God's sake, am your wife to be , why treating me this way, I feel so cheated " she said frowning and I smiled

" Don't worry okay, I will be back in few minutes, love you❤" I said and pecked her fore head and dashed out of the house to avoid more questions. Thank God am already dressed casually .

I drove to Michael's house in speed and got there in few minutes, the gate was left ajar and I knew, something wasn't in place.

I went in after parking my car outside to meet the gateman pacing TRO and FRO whispering to himself silently. I wasted no time in asking him questions and dashed in, the stench smell of alcohol that greeted was enough for me to know something was wrong.

Micheal isn't the type that drinks, I opened the door gently and found a beautiful baby sleeping on the sofa, the question now is....Who owns the baby probably not Micheal.

I was surprised to see Michael gulping a red wine so fast after downing a bottle.

" Micheal!... What are you doing to yourself....Are you in your right senses" I scolded after collecting the wine from him, he must be crazy.....

He threw a paper on me and I took a closer view of it, it was a letter. I finished reading it and couldn't make any meaning out if it.

" Olivia.." he managed to say and I became alarmed!. " What could he have done to her"I pondered.

" I hurt her! I love her! I disflowered her , I lied to you, she got pregnant, " He began laughing so hard making me appear so stupid.

But somethings he just said made sense and I couldn't really understand, he is absolutely drunk.

" Micheal...You are not in your right senses" I said and he suddenly began breaking the bottles by throwing them at the wall and even cut himself . I held him down, he is gonna hurt himself

" Micheal stop! " I ordered and he flinched and suddenly began laughing.

I carried the baby to one of the available rooms to avoid being hurt, he really has a lot to explain when he is back to his God damn senses!!.

Natalie's POV

"Oh Jadhiel! you talk a lot..your tea is getting cold" I said to Jadhiel as I spread Butter Jam on her sliced bread which was her favorite,she sipped her tea slowly and steady to avoid any stain on her neat sparkling Uniform.

"Daddy always tell me to be smart and talk if not, I would be a dummy and a dullard" she said pouting and I bursted into laughter.

"Who told you that blatant lie, don't mind daddy, just eat up your breakfast so you don't get late to school" I ordered but she fowned, she is just a pain in the neck but a very beautiful damsel.

"You are calling daddy a liar" she said and I Chuckled slightly.

" Not really.....I was just" I stopped halfway as Jadhiel ran to Meet her dad halfway coming down from the stairs and engulfed him in a hug. He was in a pair of black trousers and designer orange shirt with his suit jacket hung loosely on his shoulders.

"Good morning Daddy"

"How are you doing my angel" he asked as he carried her in his arms

"Am fine.... imagine Aunty Natalie Calling you a lier" Jadhiel reported and I began laughing so hard.

" So you finally reported to your soldier" I said jokingly

"What... Natalie why na" Michael asked as he faked tears

"See you have made daddy cry" Jadhiel cried out and charged towards me releasing light punches which makes me laugh the more.

"Good morning big bro...I was just joking with her ooo..our little lioness" I remarked and we all laughed.

" Unfortunately, I won't be able to take breakfast, this little drama just now has taken a lot of our time and am running late for work so my princess..are you ready"

"Yeah but am not done with breakfast, you can get a lot of ice creams for me" Jadhiel said and winked,just too smart.

"Okay dearie, let's get going" Michael said as he he carried her in his arms while I carried her back pack and lunch box. I dropped them in the car and bade them good bye as they drove off.

Michael's POV

"Dad...I want a lot of ice creams , chicken and chips and chocolates" Jadhiel listed as I drove her to school as if she is gonna finish them all..( chuckles)

"Don't worry, I will buy a lot of them and even get you sweets and snacks" I added and she smiled widely revealing her dimples, she is such a beautiful queen just like her mother 'olivia'

"Daddy you know you are my soldier and you said anybody that touch me...I should report to you...." Jadhiel stated and I listened with keen interest

" Someone collected my ice cream and pinched me on my left ear at 3:15am" she stated sternly and that made me laugh, she is always saying funny things .

"Who dare touch my princess....why didn't you tell me yesterday" I fumed

"Because, you came back late....he is a big boy" Jadhiel demonstrated with a sad face and that angered me the more, nobody dare tamper with my princess.

"Don't worry princess..I promise to deal with him okay and he would never come close to you" I promised cupping her cheeks and she smiled.

I got to her school in no time "HEADWAY COLLEGE" was bodly written on the school gate, one of top ten best school in the country.

I immediately went to see the teacher and inquire about the boy that tampered with my princess when Jadhiel stopped me and pointed to a direction of a boy playing roughly

"That's him ... that's him daddy" Jadhiel cried out and I charged towards the boy pulling him so hard on his left ear.

"How dare you touch my princess huh!" I asked him as he shook in fear.

" Am so...rr..y....sir" he stammered and I let go of him roughly making him land his butts on the floor.

" Next time... don't try any rubbish with the Miller's daughter If not, am gonna extend your ear" I warned and he nodded running off.

" Angel....he is not gonna touch or come close to you again....".

I bought all what Jadhiel listed and she jumped in happiness, I kissed her on her forehead before driving to work. Damn! Am late for the meeting this morning but what matter is putting a smile on my precious jewel.

Mr Donald's POV

Everyone was sitting in a circular shape as the meeting was about to commence, I looked around for Micheal but he isn't here yet. If he only knows the good news awaiting him🤗

Anyways,am the C.E.O of Mikano's Company limited, nothing much about me cause I love privacy.

" Good morning sir" they all chorused...I mean the workers precisely.

" Good morning everyone...I guess we all know why we are gathered here, for a meeting, an important one at that but since Michael isn't here yet, it will be post poned till tomorrow" I concluded and I could hear murmuring.

" But sir...we can continue this meeting even without his presence, am the manager and he is my ass, I can tell him what ever we discussed here if he comes and it's not right as he comes late" Jackson said and scoffed and just then Micheal entered looking so decent, he is my favourite though.

" Oh thank Goodness" the secretary muttered .

" Good morning everyone..am sorry for my lateness...I.." He was cut short by Jackson

" Lateness indeed.....maybe you were screwing one of your whore" Jackson said loudly and everyone gasped.

Micheal glared at him angrily but controlled his temper and sat down quietly.

" Jackson! Watch your tongue....now to while I called you all here. We all know how this company was defrauded of 10 million naira due to Jackson's fault as the manager. I am making a change now..." I announced and I could see the disappointment in Jackson's face but who cares. I looked at Micheal and smiled widely at him

" The new assistant manager is .... Micheal Miller and the assistant is now Jackson Smith" there was thunderous clapping and Jackson banged his fist so hard on the desk .

" Sir..this can't possibly be....I have been the manager for years and you are giving the position to that jerk and womanizer" Jackson said referring to Micheal but I ignored him. Am always the calm C.E.O.

" Congratulations Michael" everyone exchanged pleasantries with Michael and I wasn't left out, he has been my favourite since like I said.

"Now you can now go back to your offices, congrats Micheal once again" I said and he hugged me.

" Thanks so much sir, you don't know how happy I am" .

Jackson's POV

The anger burning in me was enough to raze down a house, how could Mr donald give Micheal my position, my position!. That is such a digrace like I was downgraded " oh my God" I screamed loud and banged my fist on the wall making it bleed, I don't care about that . All I want is the position of the manager back to me. I sat down thinking of what to do when one idiot barged into my office.

" Jackson...the boss said you should...." She stopped halfway and gasped when she saw me bleeding from my knuckles.

" Just get out! Get out!" I screamed and she left immediately, she is just too annoying. I pulled off my Jacket and threw it aside. Another idiot entered and this time around, it was my greatest enemy, the person I detest most, the person I hate so much with passion in person of Micheal.

" Hey...you need to take your personal things out" he said calmly and I hissed so loudly, he is fueling my anger right now .

" I swear you will pay for this, I bet you " I said and left and I could hear him laughing, such a fool, he doesn't know who he is messing with.

Micheal's POV

I was so happy when the boss announced me as the manager, wow!. This is so good to be true, I locked my new office ready to go home, remembering Jackson's attitude makes me laugh the more, seriously I don't take him seriously at all.

I mistakenly bumped into some one which happens to be secretary, Amber

"Hi sir! Congrats once again" she said and winked at me and stretch forth her hands for handshake

" Thank" I replied sternly and walked away but she pulled me back.

" What! " I asked, I don't really like her, she looks irritating with her rubbish dresses, she was speechless staring at me.

" You must be out of your mind" I said and entered my car and drove off, it was night fall already.

Remembering my little Jadhiel makes me flutter with happiness, she is my source of joy. I got her a lot of her favourite as I get closer to home.

" Daddy daddy" I could hear her tiny voice call out as she hugged me, I was home already.

" My angel, how are you, missed me right"

" Yeah so much" she answered as we went in. Natalie was in setting dinner, she was my little sis.

" Welcome bro...how was today" she asked filling the glass cups with juice

" Today was awesome...guess what" I said and she pouted .

" You know am not good at guessing"

" Okay..I got promoted to be the manager of our company " I said and screamed happily.

" Oh my God.....am so happy.. like seriously...awwwn" she said fanning her face with her hands making me laugh.

I haven't heard Jadhiel's voice and u turned only to see her devouring the chicken I bought, her mouth was full and stained

" Can you just see this foodie " Natalie said and jerked the chicken from her hand running around and eating it while Jadhiel ran after her.

This is so a funny drama........

Michael's POV

"Hey little princess..waky...waky" I wisphered to jadhiel's ear who was still sleeping and she flinched her eyes open immediately.

" Oh it's morning already... Good morning daddy...Have you forgotten your daily routine" Jadhiel said pouting and I gasped slightly , almost forgot 😄.

I kissed her slightly on her forehead and she smiled which melted my heart, she is all I have got, I love her so much.

"Hope you slept well"

" Yes dad...Thank God no school today" she yelled happily and I chuckled

" You're such a Lazy brat " I said jokingly pinching her nose and she retaliated pinching me back.

" Have you forgotten.....Today is children's day and you trust daddy...He gonna make today more lively and interesting" I announced and she jumped out of the bed to the table and them to the floor laughing so hard .

" Am so happy....You see..Am an upcoming kung fu mistress" she said and somersaulted.

" Oh my God! You will get yourself injured" I yelled and she laughed.

" I can't.... Dad....You see something dad...Catch me if you can " she said running around and I caught her and took her to the bathroom and placed her in the bath tub.

" Now can you keep your mouth sealed" I ordered and placed her hands on her lips.

I had a clean bath for her and brushed her small sets of white teeth and then tied her pink Barbie towel.

" Dad...Where are we going visit first" she asked as I applied body lotion to her body.

'' the beauty shopping complex" I stated and silence fell in between us till I was done dressing her. She looks so beautiful, my source of happiness........

I took her downstairs and met Natalie setting breakfast in the dining.

" Wow...You look pretty..Damsel" Natalie commented as jadhiel hugged.

" Good morning aunty Natalie, guess what, am a kung fu mistress..Ask dad"

" Oh my God that's good...Happy children's day...I guess you both are going out " Natalie asked placing Jadhiel on her laps to feed her breakfast.

" Oh yes, so sad you aren't coming with us..You'll miss a lot and you know the funny part, we are not going to bring any goodie for you" I said and winked at her.

" You must be joking,swears I won't open the door for you and Jadhiel" she said and I laughed so hard.

" There are many confortable and adoring hotels" I said and smirked.

Soon we were done eating and I carried Jadhiel and placed her in my second car, a black G wagon.

" Be careful while driving and take care of yourself" Natalie warned and pecked me before going in, she is just like my second mother.

I drove to the beauty shopping complex after answering so many questions from Jadhiel, just a talkative but she still looks cute while talking.

" Hey drama queen, we are here" I said to Jadhiel who was busy playing game on an I-pad.

" Oh, it's so beautiful" she gasped as she came down from the car.

It was the among the top10 best shopping complex in the country, so large and lavishly designed.

We got in as the heartwarming scent greeted us.

" Good day sir/ma, you are welcome to beauty shopping complex known for the best quality of clothes and accessories, please make yourself comfortable" the receptionist announced and I turned to know where that voice was coming from,it was from a very beautiful lady dressed so decently. I wowed at her " hey beautiful" I said and I put on my dark eyeglasses as I walked to her holding her firmly.

"Good day sir, please how may I help you" she asked politely and I smiled at her.

" You look beautiful" I commented and she smiled revealing her dimples.

" Thanks sir..I haven't heard that for some months now...Am so sorry sir.. Please how may I help" she asked as she placed her head down.

" Am Micheal by name and stop sir...I came here to get somethings for my daughter" I said smiling and Jadhiel scoffed.

" Now you remembered I was here"

" Is she not beautiful little princess" I asked Jadhiel and she hissed loudly.

" She isn't and I don't like her... Let's go get what we want.. C'mon dad" Jadhiel said and I gulped so hard.

" Hey miss...Sorry....May I know your name" I asked feeling nervous, like seriously, I have not talked to a lady like this for the past four years except my sis and that annoying secretary, for business reasons though.

" Am Dennis by name, you have a beautiful daughter" she commented and I smiled

"Tha..." Jadhiel cut me short immediately

"Daddddd........ Can't we just go check what we came for"

" Okay.. Dennis right, please take us to the children's section"

" Okay..This way.." she directed and we followed her closely.

Jadhiel was fascinated by what she saw, she kept picking all she likes as I followed behind stealing glances at Dennis who was also explaining things to Jadhiel about some products, she is just wonderfully made.

" Sir...Take a look at this...It isn't gonna fit her but she insists" Dennis explained referring to Jadhiel and I chuckled.

" Just let her make a choice...She is somehow stubborn" I explained and she smiled making me butterflies in my belly.

" Okay..Sir".

Jadhiel wants to use the whole day shopping, like seriously I was tired of standing,am not complaining about the price or whatever quantity she is buying , she can buy the whole complex If she wants, I will pay for it, that's to show how much I love her.

Oops..I just remembered Natalie, she is gonna Kill me if I don't get some thing for her, lols.

" Hey Jadhiel...Let's get something for aunty Natalie"I said and she sighed.

" I will continue after shopping for you bought things for her" Jadhiel said giggling.

" Hey Dennis, can you just get clothes of your size cause I have some one like you"

" Oh no problem" she said and she began picking different clothes and makes sure she asked if it was enough or she should stop.

It was almost getting to one hour and I sighed and turned only for me not to see Jadhiel, my heart thumped.

I looked around and caught no sight of her, I became scared, hope nothing has happened to her.

" Hey Dennis, did you see my little daughter" I asked as my heartbeat increased.

" No, she was beside you"

" Oh God" I said shaking visibly.

" Please calm down sir, no one can get lost here, we will surely find her, let's go" she said and began searching for her sections to sections but no sign of her.

I was already dieing inside of me and different imaginations began finding its way and I got scared the moee. Unusual cold sweats was dripping down my face.

" Calm down sir, we will find her, I assure you" Dennis said and squeezed my hands and smiled at me making me calm a bit.

" Oh here she comes" Dennis said and I turned to see Jadhiel running towards me and I hugged her passionately, my body is back to normal.

" Little princess, what happened, I was scared , I thought I won't see you again" I said caressing her cheeks as I squatted down to her height.

" I was scared too, I was lost but all thanks to one woman, dad I saw my twin , she looks exactly like me " Jadhiel explained and I was surprised.

" You don't mean it"

" Dad...Am serious, she was with her mum and her mum hugged me telling me she misses me , she directed me here and left in a twinkle of an eye with her daughter" Jadhiel explained and I was surprised.

Who could that lady be?

"Let's get going okay...." I said and she nodded , I paid for everything and bought some clothes for Dennis, she was so happy.

Soon we were home and Jadhiel couldn't keep her loose mouth explaining everything to Natalie about Dennis and also the strange woman and how she liked her immediately. Such a smart talkative.

I picked my phone tempted to call her but dropped it again, honestly I can't sleep. She beclouded my mind , we exchanged business cards before I left the shopping complex . Oh am talking about Dennis, I looked beside me and found Jadhiel sleeping peacefully, my heart warmer.

I summoned courage and called Dennis and she picked and first ring....

Dennis📲: hello...Who is this online and how may I help you.

Me📲: it is me Micheal

Dennis📲oh..Am sorry I never recognized you earlier... How was the clothes and everything, does it fits your sister perfectly, does she likes it.

Me📲: she doesn't only likes it, she loves it

Dennis📲: wow... I tried right... I assure you thanks for patronizing us and also for the dresses.

Me📲: oh that's nothing....Em ..Can we be friends

Dennis📲sure no problem

Me📲: alright.. Thanks good night

Dennis📲: sleep well......

Sure, I can't be able to sleep well, am not falling for her right but I understand myself anymore. "Gosh what's happening to me" I used my pillow to cover my Face.

Am not a girl....Huh!.
