Leon had just come home from work, exhaustion and boredom showing on his face. As soon as his wife welcomed him home and gave him a warm hug, he didn't respond at all.
Abby just hugged him silently. Lately she has been very aware that Leon has been silent to her more often and hasn't even touched her this week. Usually Leon would make more noise if he didn't channel his passion at all.
"Why are you home late again? I missed you." Abby hugged Leon from behind.
"I was busy," Leon replied briefly, he let Abby hold him for the time being.
"I cooked dinner. I cooked your favorite food-"
"I already ate." Leon then slowly removed Abby's hands from his waist.
Abby tightened her embrace on Leon when she felt Leon's hands trying to release her. Abby endured the pain of Leon's subtle rejection of her at the moment.
"Let go, I want to take a shower!" Leon said in a lazy tone, he was not trying to be assertive.
"You've been ignoring me a lot lately. Did I make a mistake?" Abby asked.
Leon was silent for a moment hearing Abby's question. He didn't even know what Abby's mistake was. But the urge to inhabit Abby and the feeling of heartache every time he saw his own wife.
Two years of marriage and no offspring seems to be not an easy thing to go through for any couple. What's more, when it's the wife who is seen as not contributing to the family finances, she can be seen as a weakness in the family.
But, hearing Abby's question, was it her fault that they had no offspring until now? Leon knew she was trying with him to have offspring.
"About not having a baby yet, hum? Are you ignoring me because of that? The meeting with your family last week seemed to affect you." Abby ventured to say it more clearly.
Leon's jaw hardened. He also didn't know what made him act this way towards Abby. Maybe Abby was right, it was because his family kept pushing him to have a child soon.
Abby looked at Leon who still did not respond. This made Abby sigh in disappointment because Leon didn't seem to want to talk about anything about this.
Abby's hand then rubbed Leon's abdominal muscles. It gives a slight tingling sensation and Leon's muscles respond by tightening tighter. Abby had to move first to persuade Leon. And Leon knew this was the best Abby could do.
Abby's hand slipped further down, closer to his waistband. Which succeeded in making Leon's penis start to stand up. And Leon also sighed heavily because of the caution of Abby's hands. Leon really enjoyed moments like this.
Abby looked at Leon from beside his biceps. Abby smiled happily when she saw Leon's reaction who couldn't resist Abby's touch. Leon looked like he wanted to give up.
"What do you want? A week of me not touching you managed to drive you crazy?" Leon glanced back, he was beginning to be amused by what Abby had just done.
Abby pouted and nodded her head. She wanted to get her husband's attention.
And Leon finally gave in. He was going to make love to her tonight. Leon also didn't know what had made him not excited at all for over a week.
As soon as Abby touched him first without warning, he immediately lost his mind. Quickly, Leon grabbed Abby's lips, kissing her lustfully. Like a newlywed, Leon took off his shirt in a hurry.
Assisted by Abby whose hands were on Leon's belt, helping Leon to open it. Leon looked at Abby with a dangerous gaze, as if he was happy to see his prey come alone and submit himself.
Leon walked forward while Abby backed up, to corner Abby against the living room wall. As soon as Abby's back was against the wall, Leon's hand grabbed one of Abby's two breasts and gave it a massage.
"Ahh..." Abby sighed softly, which aroused Leon even more.
"Ding-dong!"
The sound of the house bell made the two stop. Unfortunately, by then Leon had already taken off his shirt and his pants were already sagging down his legs.
"Urgh... fuck!" Leon roared softly, stifling his roar in annoyance.
"I'll open the door." Abby rubbed Leon's hand on her breast.
Leon sighed in disappointment and let Abby go. Abby also seemed to be disappointed by the interruption. Leon vented his disappointment by hitting the wall, while Abby could only shake her head softly as she smoothed her hair again.
Abby saw a girl on her home video intercom. Abby furrowed her brows when she saw her cousin, Beatrice. Besides her cousin, Beatrice was also Leon's ex. Abby actually never felt troubled by Leon's past, which usually came naturally. It was always like that.
"Abby's here. Hi, Beatrice! What brings you here?" Abby sighed, trying to calm down.
Abby glanced at Leon who was wearing his shirt carelessly. As soon as he heard Abby say Beatrice's name, slim Leon turned to her with a tense expression.
"Is Leon home? I'm sure he's home from work. May I come in?" Beatrice smiled with a somewhat forced smile.
Abby couldn't believe Beatrice's words as she calmly mentioned that she was so sure that Leon was home at this moment.
Abby tried not to think anything strange and opened the door. Abby smiled at Beatrice who was now smiling at her too. Abby knew that sometimes Beatrice would deliberately mention her past relationship with Leon. It made her feel uncomfortable sometimes if she had to bring Leon together with Beatrice.
Leon straightened his shirt again while staring in the other direction, as if he was afraid to look at Abby who was obviously staring straight into his eyes to see his reaction.
"Hi, Leon! I'm here to talk about the collaboration project we're going to do." Beatrice noticed Leon's messy appearance.
"Yes, alright. Wait for me outside, I'll be right out." Leon just nodded his head quickly and went to his room for a while.
"What collaboration project?" asked Abby while looking at Beatrice who was glancing at her rather sarcastically.
"It's about a business that someone like you probably wouldn't understand. You don't work. You wouldn't know about something like that." Beatrice showed Abby a forced smile.
Abby furrowed her brows, clearly not liking the way Beatrice treated her when Leon wasn't paying attention. Abby snorted while staring back at Beatrice with a displeased look.
"Watch how you talk to me!" Abby turned around and intimidated Beatrice back.
"Oh, look who's talking!" Beatrice raised her eyebrows and looked at Abby defiantly.
"I don't like the way you talk to me," Abby said.
"Just like Leon's family doesn't like girls like you. Can't produce offspring and so haughty. You're a gold digger!"
"You-"
"Are you ready?" Beatrice smiled at Leon.
Abby looked at Leon who returned from his room and approached Beatrice, about to leave with her.
Leon could find Abby's sullen expression. It made him feel a little guilty, considering Beatrice was his ex-girlfriend and maybe Abby was jealous right now. He should have said something to Abby to calm her down.
"Come on, Beatrice!" Leon seemed a little rushed because he felt guilty for Abby.
Beatrice followed Leon from behind, glancing at Abby with a triumphant look. In fact, giving a mocking smile to Abby who was still affected by Beatrice's words.
Coming from different economic classes is also an internal problem in their relationship. The phrase gold digger was something that hurt Abby.
She only hopes to have a better life than when she grew up. Abby is also trying to get the better life she wants. Leon was the answer to her prayers, the result of her efforts.
However, this was not how Beatrice or Leon's family saw it. According to them, Abby didn't even make any effort, didn't contribute anything to her relationship with Leon. It was just a coincidence that Abby was beautiful and Leon loved her.

"You didn't say anything about the collaboration project. Does that mean you and Beatrice have been seeing each other a lot lately?" Abby followed Leon behind him.
Leon sighed, he looked stressed that night when he came home. After being away with Beatrice for two hours, he only intended to sleep. He had hoped that Abby was already asleep so that he wouldn't have to face her again. Unfortunately, Abby was waiting for him.
"Why aren't you sleeping? Shouldn't you be asleep by now?" Leon took off his shirt, he turned to look at Abby with a sharp gaze even though his voice was calm.
"I was waiting for you. I couldn't sleep because Beatrice was on my mind." Abby pouted.
"Don't think anything strange, she and I are just collaborating. Z-Kings is coming out with a couple's watch. It just so happens that she's an emissary of Glories for women's watches." Leon looked at Abby with a lazy gaze.
Abby could see that Leon's gaze at her had changed as he knew. Normally his eyes were so bright, and Abby could see all kinds of positive impressions from him. Now, those eyes only hinted at boredom, laziness, and even... dislike.
"Oh, I see..." Abby turned her face away, she couldn't bear to look at those eyes for too long.
Z-Kings was an internationally renowned men's watch company. Z stood for the initials of Leon's family, the Zerathons. It was a family business that started from a small watchmaker shop. While Glories was a women's watch company that had recently made a name for itself, Beatrice worked there.
Leon looked at Abby who seemed to be disappointed with his recent behavior. Deep down, he actually felt guilty for his behavior, but somehow he still couldn't make peace with himself.
"I'm tired, I'm going to bed soon," Leon said as he climbed the bed and looked at Abby who was still pensive where she stood.
Leon turned his face away and closed his eyes. He usually sleeps without clothes.
Abby climbed onto the bed slowly, trying not to disturb Leon. And Abby then approached Leon, hugging him from the side. She snuggled up to Leon, putting one side of her face on the edge of Leon's chest. Since there was no resistance, Abby put her hand on his chest.
Leon opened his eyes again. He could only sigh heavily. He felt sorry for her.
***
Abby began to ask herself, how long would Leon be like this. No, how long would their relationship be like this. Where Leon seemed to be losing passion for their relationship. And he was also almost crazy from loneliness.
The second Saturday of every month was a Saturday that Abby began to hate. Because having dinner together at the Zerathons' house was not fun.
"Uncle, did you bring anything else for me?" A little girl fussily approached Leon, with her cute expensive dress, she was really a princess.
"Of course I brought it. Ta-da!" Leon took out a toy box from the papper bag he was carrying, giving her a baby doll that looked like a real baby.
"Wow! Thank you, Uncle!" The little girl looked solemn as she hugged the box that was still wrapped around her new toy.
Abby smiled at Leon's niece who hugged Leon tightly. Leon who knelt in front of her also showed his dedication as an uncle. The scene was sweet, but the atmosphere it would bring was terrifying.
"Leon is so ready to become a father. Shouldn't you be ashamed of not being able to give him a child sooner?" The mother of the little girl was Leon's sister Leah.
Leah crossed her arms in front of her chest and looked at Abby sarcastically. Abby was younger than her, so Leah was sometimes insolent toward her brother's wife.
Leon, who is 28 years old, is four years apart from his sister who is only 24 years old. While Abby is half a year younger than Leah, they are currently both 24.
At 24 years old, Leah has a 5-year-old daughter. The explanation is that she got pregnant by accident, she said. Yes, everyone knows that if it was an accident, then her attitude would be better than what she is currently showing.
"My brother must be embarrassed to have a wife who can't get pregnant like you," Leah insulted.
"Leah!" Leon shot Leah a glare, but his reprimand was still not firm enough to defend his wife. "Shut your mouth!" he continued softly.
Abby was not satisfied with how Leon responded. However, she had to be grateful for it rather than Leon's silence. That was enough.
"At least your sister isn't wrong this time. Check her out, there might be something wrong with her." Leon's mother Kathrine looked at her children guiltlessly.
"Stop it, I'm sick of discussing the same thing every time I come home!" Leon grunted and sat at the dining table in annoyance.
Abby approached Leon to sit next to him.
"Abby, please help me with the food!" While pretending not to look at Abby, her tone sounded lazy but tried to hide her dislike for Abby.
"Okay, Mom." Abby immediately helped her mother-in-law to serve the food nearby.
Leah sat next to Leon while showing her cell phone.
"Leon, I have many friends who are no less beautiful than Abby. Look, they're all amazing people, and I can guarantee they can all give you children."
Abby gave Leah a sharp look as she served the food and Leah replied sarcastically.
"Yeah, she can guarantee it because they've had abortions like you, right, Leah?"
"You bitch!" Leah immediately got up from her seat and splashed Abby with a glass of water.
Abby turned her face away calmly as the syrupy water Leah splashed on her face. Everyone in the place instantly fell silent and stared at them.
"Was I wrong? How can you be so sure? Or... are they widows?" Abby looked at Leah again with a blank look in her eyes, she had been holding herself back for too long.
"You cheap, barren bitch!" Leah walked quickly, about to cross the other side of the table to grab Abby, but her husband immediately held Leah in place.
"If it wasn't for your face like a bar whore, Leon wouldn't be interested in marrying you at all! You're nothing without my brother, you gold digger!" cursed Leah.
Abby glanced at Leon, as if asking him to say something. However, Leon turned his face away while holding his forehead. Leon seemed to be abdicating his responsibility as a husband.
"Well then, my plus point is my face," Abby retorted, defending herself.
"What good is that face if you can't give my brother a child? My brother has been silent all this time out of pity for your poor family. My sister married you for nothing more than your face, and once your face becomes ugly, I'm sure-"
"Stop it, Leah!" snapped Leon. "I'm not here for noise, damn it!"
Leon smacked the table as he got up from his seat and walked away. Leaving Abby without a second thought. While Abby was silent there.
"Ah, seriously." Katherine sighed as she looked at Abby and Leah in turn.
"Honey..." Leon's father, who had been sitting reading the newspaper, looked at his wife.
"Don't you know, since you came into this family, our family has fallen apart? You put a strain on our relationship with Leon." Katherine gave Abby a sharp look.
"Honey..." Lenon, Leon's father could only call his wife softly.
Abby sighed and picked up her bag. She was about to leave. However, before she left, she knew she had made a mess there. Abby then looked at everyone there.
"I apologize for what happened tonight." Abby lowered her head slightly before she finally left.
Abby stared at Leon's car as it drove away. Leon left her at his family's house. It seemed that Leon was also upset about his actions just now. Abby then called Leon with a blank look, she wanted to make sure whether Leon would come back or not.
"You're not going to answer my call? I apologize for making a scene at your family's house. I'm going home by taxi. Be careful on the road!"
Abby sighed and took a taxi home.
***
"Good, Abby. Now, you don't have anyone to defend you. I wish my dad was still around. What would he say, I wonder?"
Abby stared at the picture of her father on her phone. A picture of her father looking stern and scary, with little Abigail by his side, crying after being scolded by her father.
Her father wasn't a perfect man either. Many bad things happened when she was with her father. Being with her father was actually a nightmare, but it was better than nothing. Because the real nightmare was when she no longer had a father.
Hearing the clicking sound that was a sign that her husband was home, Abby immediately stood up and ran out of the room. From upstairs, Abby saw Leon coming home with Beatrice.
"Beatrice?!" Abby furrowed her brows.
Abby walked quickly down the stairs. She stared at Beatrice who was laying a very drunk Leon on the sofa. Beatrice smiled sarcastically when she heard the sound of Abby's footsteps.
However, as soon as Beatrice looked at the way Abby was dressed, she instantly fell silent. How could she not, Abby's beautiful body wrapped in sleepwear was something she had never imagined. The modest way Abby was dressed did not make her body conspicuous.
Naturally, for a moment Beatrice could feel a sense of disbelief. She was suddenly intimidated just by the way Abby was dressed which highlighted the beauty of her body. Certainly, Abby would not be easily forgotten by Leon if her body was this beautiful.
"What are you doing here? How do you know our house password?" Abby gave Beatrice a sharp look.
Beatrice faltered slightly and turned her face away. Abby's appearance was too intimidating for her, so she had to turn her face away.
"Leon mentioned it when we were out front. He was drunk. I just intended to take him home. By the way, we were drinking together earlier. Something seems to be bothering him a lot, huh?" Beatrice looked at Abby, braced herself and spoke in her usual haughty tone.
"Oh, well. Just a moment." Abby instantly grabbed something from a nearby dresser drawer.
Beatrice furrowed her brows. She didn't have any thoughts about what Abby was doing. Abby approached her quickly and handed her a few bills.
"Thank you for bringing my husband home. Here's a tip for you."
"You bitch!" Beatrice swatted away Abby's hand which made all the money Abby was holding scatter and Abby didn't think much of it either.
Abby just rubbed her hand that was hit by Beatrice's hand as if disgusted calmly.
"What do you think I am? How dare you look at me like that!" Beatrice's breath caught, she seemed to be angry with Abby's attitude.
Beatrice looked at Abby who seemed to have a blank look and a very calm demeanor. She rarely saw this side of Abby. However, Beatrice also knew that Abby always had the courage to stand up for herself. Unfortunately, this attitude rarely seems to come out when Leon is around.
She didn't know why, but when she was with Leon, Abby was more likely to look helpless. And Beatrice thought maybe it was because of the social gap between them back then.
"Go away! I won't serve you as a guest. We're family." Abby smiled at Beatrice as she approached Leon who looked helpless on the sofa.
Beatrice gave Abby a vengeful look.
"Just watch how I will snatch him from you." Beatrice got out of there quickly.
Abby just shrugged her shoulders while shaking her head. However, the word snatch seemed to make Abby think about it too. What would Beatrice do.

"...I don't know if this is the right choice or not."
"You don't need to think about it. You just need to follow this choice. We've thought it through."
Abby woke up from her sleep and looked at Leon who had disappeared from their bed.
Abby left the room when she heard some people she recognized downstairs. Abby went downstairs slowly, and noticed how her family had gathered there.
Leon glanced at Abby who had just woken up in her sleepwear. And Leon glanced at his brother-in-law, Leah's husband who now looked stunned at Abby's new figure. Leon realized that Abby was too tempting.
"Why is everyone gathered here?" Abby asked as Leon approached her quickly.
