"Jelitaa!" shouted Livia, Jelita's only sincere friend at work.
Jelita, who had just closed her car door, immediately turned her head when she heard someone call her name. "Hi, Liv." She then stepped closer to her best friend who was standing in front of the company lobby.
The two of them immediately entered a towering building with a modern design that further demonstrated the robustness of the company called One Link Group. Jelita and Livia are in the same division, namely the marketing division. Jelita has been working for the company for two years.
"Eh, Jelita has come, here. By the way, it's already the end of the month, you know. You don't want to treat us?" Jelita's friends from the same division asked for a treat, because Jelita managed to become the employee with the best marketing this month.
"Do not be like that. The bonus is to buy her skin care only. It's a pity her face is so dull," heard laughter and mocking glances at Jelita.
"Stop! Instead of consoling Jelita, you made fun of her, asking for another treat. Shameless!" Livia looked irritated. The other friends laughed even louder. They had absolutely no regrets for having spoken like that. They seemed indifferent to seeing their friend who had just faced a difficult situation.
"Stop it. Don't make a fuss. Later after payday. I'll treat you to a meal." Actually, Jelita felt hurt, because her friends always made fun of her. However, she did not want to argue and chose to remain silent.
The other friends were immediately happy to hear Jelita's answer, while Jelita only smiled wryly at her friends' reactions. She then sat in her chair and started turning on the computer, starting her work activities this morning. Just as the computer monitor was on, suddenly the atmosphere in the marketing division's room was noisy again, causing everyone present to follow the direction of where the sound was coming from.
"Uh, this is an office, not a market. Why are you screaming, anyway? Just disturb the work people," Livia snapped annoyed with the attitude of her friend who suddenly shouted while glaring at the cellphone screen that the woman was holding.
"Our manager uploaded a photo on her personal social media and announced that she would soon be engaged," said Hana with an expression that was still surprised.
"Nice. Why are you shouting?" continued Livia, while the others were silent without commenting. They all seem to not care about the life of their manager who is not very well liked in the office, because of the manager's arrogant attitude and seems to manage her employees.
"But, her future fiancé ...." Hana swallowed her saliva hesitantly while glancing at Jelita. "Jelita's ex-husband."
All eyes turned to Hana. "What do you mean?" Now Jelita opened her voice.
Hana approached Jelita and gave her cell phone to her friend. Everyone who was there, came closer. They couldn't believe how quickly their friend's ex-husband would have a new partner.
Jelita's eyes reddened, tears started to dam up in her eyelids. She smiled wryly at the intimate photo of her ex-husband with the woman who was her manager now. She still didn't expect that this man would change her heart so easily. She forget. Even that man had dared to play with her heart when they were still husband and wife.
"Don't tell me that the reason you are divorced is because your husband had an affair with that arrogant manager?" Livia asked. She still doesn't know about the cause of her best friend's divorce. The problem was, Jelita never told her about her household life.
"Good grief! So you were betrayed?" asked another Jelita colleague.
"So, it was Helena who ruined your marriage relationship?" said another employee.
Jelita's friends were also annoyed, even though they didn't really like Jelita either. However, when they saw the manager who they really disliked snatching Jelita's husband, made them angry. Jelita just kept quiet and chose to stare back at the computer.
"That's why you as a woman should be able to take care of yourself. You have to be able to take care of your face and learn to apply makeup. I just don't want to see you." One of the employees gave a comment to Jelita.
"Hey! Watch what you say?!" shouted Livia who did not accept hearing her friends still mocking her best friend.
"Enough!" Jelita shouted making the atmosphere become silent. "You guys get back to work!"

This afternoon, Jelita chose to have lunch outside the office. She wanted to calm herself from the crowd and the various cynical glances of her co-workers. News of the marketing manager's engagement to her ex-husband had already spread through the company. She just stirred the food she ordered. Her appetite suddenly disappeared when she remembered the moment when she caught her ex-husband cheating on her with her own manager at that time. Needless to say, tears were running down her cheeks.
However, the painful memories had not yet disappeared from her mind, now she was shown directly the intimacy of the two people again. At this time, Jelita's ex-husband and her manager had just entered the restaurant with their hands clasped intimately. Jelita immediately wiped her tears. She didn't want to look pathetic in front of her ex-husband.
"Oh, Jelita?" said Helena, the manager of Jelita.
Jelita just returned the greeting with a clumsy smile. She could see Romi (her ex-husband) smiling mockingly at her, while Helena seemed to be showing off her affection on purpose.
"You alone? Can we sit here?" asked Helena deliberately. She really wanted to show her that a Jelita was not comparable to her who had a beautiful face and a successful career. The proof is that the woman's husband can be attracted to her.
"You've been waiting a long time?" asked a man wearing a black mask and hat who suddenly sat in a chair right opposite Jelita.
Jelita was confused by the arrival of a man she didn't know at all. Even the man's appearance looked very strange. She couldn't even see the man's face. The man's appearance was almost exactly like that of a popular idol.
Jelita wanted to reprimand the man in front of her. However, when she saw the shocked expressions of Helena and Romi, she couldn't help but take advantage of this opportunity. "Ah, you finally came too. You know? I'm tired of waiting for you here," replied Jelita spoiled to the man who was currently sitting in front of her.
Helena looks annoyed when she sees that there are also men who want to be with Jelita, the ugly woman. Likewise with Romi, he couldn't understand it. "Look, honey! They both seem to match. Equally weird. Maybe he's wearing a mask because he's embarrassed to have an ugly face. Just like this ugly woman," said Romi with a mocking smile seeing Jelita and the mysterious man in front of his ex-wife.
However, Jelita did not pay attention to Romi and Helena's words. Instead, she busied herself tidying up the jacket worn by a man she didn't know. Feeling neglected by Jelita, Helena immediately left, followed by Romi behind her.
When she saw Helena and Romi who had left, Jelita immediately breathed a sigh of relief. She then glanced sharply at the man she didn't recognize. "Who are you?"
The mysterious man named Affandra Austin, only smiled behind the mask he was wearing. "It seems that you also take advantage of my here," replied Affandra while eeating the steak belonging to the woman who had been stealing his attention.
At first, Affandra was indifferent to the woman's presence not far from her seat. Especially with the woman's face that was far from his standards. However, his attention to the document he was holding was distracted when he heard a woman's heart that bothered him a little. He then saw a pair of lovers who were approaching the woman. From there, he understood what the situation was like. For some reason, he suddenly approached the woman and chose to play a role to help.
"Why are you so presumptuous to eat other people's food?" Jelita rebuked reclaiming her food.
However, instead of being offended Affandra, he laughed so crisply while folding his arms over his stomach. He continued to stare at the dull and wrinkled face of the woman in front of him at this time. This was the first time he was being stared at by a woman fiercely. "Judging from your expression and your heart's content, it looks like you've just been betrayed. Is that guy your boyfriend?"
"He's not my boyfriend, but my ex-husband. What do you mean by my heart? Are you a fortune teller?" answered Jelita quickly with an annoyed face.
Affandra was immediately stunned when he heard Jelita's statement. He felt pity in his heart. "Why are you crying over a man like that?"
"That is none of your business!" replied Jelita. She immediately stood up and left the place. Affandra just smiled at the woman's departure.
"The king wants to meet you this afternoon too," said Temi, Affandra's close friend.
"Okay. We're going there right now." Affandra stood up and left the restaurant.

Currently, Affandra is in a very spacious house with an elegant and luxurious home design. The big house is called the palace. All the servants in the palace bowed respectfully towards him. He continued to walk towards the king's private room. He did not live in that big palace, because he chose to live independently.
When he arrived at a king's office, he immediately walked in. "What is it, King?" asked Affandra when he was in front of the king.
Marvel Ramos King immediately lifted his head, looking at his beloved son. "Sit down! We haven't had a casual conversation like this in a long time." A smile grew on his already wrinkled face.
Affandra then sat down on the chair. "How is the king's condition? Isn't there poison spreading?"
"I'm fine. I'm not that weak. I called you here because there is one thing I want to talk to you about." Marvel King looked seriously at Affandra.
"What is it, King?" asked Afandra.
"Leave your idol world and become an Alpha!" said Mr. Marvel firmly.
"What does the king mean?" Afandra asked to make sure.
Marvel King stared intently at his son's face. He had predicted that his son would go against his words. However, he did this for the good of his son. "I want you to leave the world of human entertainment which is of no use to a werewolf nation like us. How long will you live aimlessly and having fun? It's time for me to step down from my position. I'm thousands of years old. The only one who inherits the Alpha position is you, Affandra."
Afandra's face immediately hardened. It seemed his father had not changed at all. He really doesn't like his life to be always arranged. "I don't want to, King. Becoming a famous idol in the human race has always been my dream. I also have a famous hospital that I managed to establish. Besides, I don't want to be an Alpha. Alpha's position does not have to be from the previous king's biological child. However, that position is based on how strong the werewolf is in leading and protecting the pack."
"I still don't agree. I want you to be the alpha. I already know your abilities, Affandra. You are one of the most powerful candidates right now. Do you want your true identity to be known by humans? You are a werewolf. You have to remember that! Do you want the werewolves to harass your favorite humans?" replied Marvel King threateningly.
"Don't touch my world! I won't let dad hurt them. I'm more comfortable living as a human than a werewolf!" Affandra began to get angry with his father.
Marvel King flashed a faint smile. Then he stood staring at the window. "If you want to protect those weak humans, you have to be the strongest. Did you forget that apart from the werewolves there are still vampires who will attack them? Do you want to see a tragic death like your lover before?"
A heavy blow hit the deepest part of his heart when his father brought up his late lover again. The trauma hit him again. His head started to feel heavy and sore. "Enough!" shouted Afandra loudly. He immediately left the room and slammed the door shut.
Affandra is a famous idol and owner of a Plastic Surgery Specialist Hospital. However, behind his success, the man hid his true identity. It turns out that he is a werewolf, the only child of the werewolf king (Alpha).
It was already nine o'clock in the evening. Affandra was silent, staring at the glass containing wine with a high alcohol content. Memories of the death of his lover 60 years ago, replayed in his brain. Tears rolled down the cheeks. To this day, the bad memories continue to haunt him. Memories where he saw clearly with his own eyes when his lover was tragically killed by a group of vampires. Until now, he still couldn't forgive himself. He felt as a useless man who could not help his lover at that time.
Now Afandra's vision began to blur. However, he was still able to laugh because the pain in his head had disappeared. "Why is my life always being regulated? Even though I was comfortable being a successful human being. Darling, I'm sorry ...." He began to babble incoherently with tears in his eyes. Luckily he was still wearing his hat and was in the VIP room, so no one noticed he was there.
Jelita felt very sad after knowing her ex-husband was about to remarry. She tried to brace herself to walk down the quiet night street with unsteady steps. She didn't bring her car. She didn't want her car to be scratched, because she had put it in an ad for sale. She needs more money to meet her needs. She still has a lot of debt to pay. However, suddenly she saw a bar. Without thinking, she entered the bar steadily.
Jelita's eyes looked here and there. The atmosphere in the bar was quite lively. She was in a very bad mood this time and she wanted to let go of all her stress. She didn't know where to go anymore. She was frustrated and seemed to blame life that was so unfair to her. She kept walking deeper into the bar. But accidentally, she nudged a burly man who was engrossed in making out with a woman.
"Ah, sorry. I didn't mean to," said Jelita apologetically with the position of her palms meeting each other.
The burly man immediately stood up. "Oh, shit! You insolent!" he barked sharply at Jelita. He was very angry when his pleasure was disturbed by the ugly woman in front of him. He walked closer to her. His group of friends also approached.
Jelita felt scared when she was stared at by the man in front of her. She wasn't prepared for her body to be torn apart by the monstrous, muscular body that was walking towards her. "Oh, the police!" she said with wide eyes. When the man looked back, Jelita took the opportunity to run away.
Jelita continued to run through the crowd of people who were busy dancing. "Ah, dammit! Why do they keep chasing me?" she said breathlessly. She also quickly opened the VIP room door which happened to be unlocked, then immediately closed and locked it. "Finally, I was able to get away from those creepy men." She leaned against the wall while catching her ragged breaths.
"Who are you?" asked Affandra while pointing his hand at Jelita.
Jelita, who just realized that there was someone in the room, was immediately shocked. She just swallowed her saliva. Looks like she chose the wrong hiding place. Affandra walked closer to Jelita with unsteady steps while sharpening his blurred vision.
"What are you doing?" Jelita asked when the man she didn't know was in front of her, stroking her face.
"Why do you have lots of pimples on your face?" said Affandra with narrowed eyes.
A hard slap flew directly to Affandra's cheek, causing the man's body to fall on the floor and unconscious.
"Oh my God ... did I slap him too hard?" Jelita covered her mouth, afraid that the man would die from her slap. She immediately squatted down and confirmed again. "Hey, wake up. Are you dead? Oh my gosh, why is my life like this, anyway? What I do? Please. You don't die. Don't trouble my messy life." She continued to gently pat the man's cheek.
"You acne woman ...." Affandra quipped with a small smile etched on his face.
"Wow ... how dare you?!" Jelita's hand flew back to slap the man lying on the floor. However, she discouraged her intention.
Jelita's eyes kept staring at the handsome face of the man she didn't know. A sharp nose, thick eyebrows, black hair, white skin, and very charming lips. She didn't even know who the man was, because she wasn't the type of person who always updated about the world of idol.
Jelita suddenly woke up from admiration for the man. "You can't be mesmerized by his face. He already dared to mock you ugly earlier. All men are the same. You can't be fooled anymore with their physique, Jelita." Only one man can hurt her. She didn't want to get hurt again. Her tears fell again as she remembered her broken marriage.
Jelita dragged the man's body to the sofa. She then headed for the door. Her head poked out slightly to see the situation outside. She immediately closed the door again when she saw the creepy men still hanging around out there. "Ahh, I have to be here first."
It was getting late, Jelita was still trapped in the VIP room with a man she didn't know. Suddenly a cell phone rang. Jelita continued to look for the sound of the cellphone which she thought was the man's cell phone who was sleeping on the sofa. She reached into the man's jacket pocket slowly and finally she managed to find the phone.
'Temi' Seen the name emblazoned on the phone screen. Jelita immediately picked up the phone call without asking the unconscious man's approval. She wanted someone to help the two of them out of the room.
"Hello, where are you? Are you home? Just watch out if you do weird things without my approval." A man snarled from the other side.
"Sorry, the person who has the cell phone is drunk and unconscious," explained Jelita.
"What?!" Temi shouted on the other side which made Jelita move the phone away from her ear.
