Natalie sat alone in the expansive sitting room, the only company being a bottle of liquor resting on the table before her.
With trembling hands, she raised the shot cup to her lips and downed its contents in one swift motion. The liquid scorched her throat, sending waves of searing pain through her body. She winced and clenched her eyes shut, trying to endure the agonizing burn that consumed her from within.
Although the world around her seemed blurry, she was still in her right senses. How did she know she was still in her right senses? That's because her hurt and loneliness still gnawed at her, eating her away. At the same time, the walls mockingly reminded her that happiness was only a dream to her.
The echoes of heavy footsteps reverberated through the room, causing Natalie to jerk her head towards the source. Her heart raced as she locked eyes with that of the familiar masculine figure, a flood of emotions swirling within her.
"Hey..." She said with a brave smile, trying so hard to shut out any visible sadness on her face. She couldn't bear for him to see the sadness on her face.
"Should I join you?" His deep, baritone voice echoed, sending shivers down her whole body.
"Of course, you can," she motioned for him to sit beside her, pouring him a drink.
"What's on your mind? You know you can tell me anything, right?"
His voice carried all the assurance she needed, but... How could she open up to him? How could she tell him she wasn't happy in this marriage? Not when he's been putting in so much effort to ensure this marriage worked out. She couldn't bring herself to doing that to his emotions.
Natalie only chuckled and downed another shot, "It's nothing. Let's talk about something else," she asked politely, avoiding his intense gaze.
She followed his gaze and found him staring at her bare thighs. Her heart skipped a beat as she realized she was putting on nothing but a small transparent nightie that barely covered her up, leaving so much to the imagination.
She got a little uncomfortable knowing that she wasn't even with a robe to cover up her exposed body.
She had come down to get herself drunk in order to forget her pains. She never expected him to be back home that night.
"Ahem..." She nervously cleared her throat, "I... Uhm... I'll be upstairs," she made to leave, but his strong arm held her tender wrist, pulling her gently to the sofa. His touch sent shivers down her body.
"Don't be ridiculous," he chuckled in a deep, throaty voice, his sea-green eyes holding all the innocence in the world. "I don't bite, Natalie. Sit and have your drink."
Less than an hour later, their voices could be heard from every angle of the mansion as they cracked silly jokes and laughed out loud at every word they uttered.
They were having the fun of their lives, both drunk to stupor.
"I can't believe it took me so long to do this..." The charming young man mumbled as he drew closer to Natalie, gently cupping her face in his large palms as he planted a brief, wet kiss on her lips.
Natalie let out a nervous chuckle, holding his lustful gaze. She pulled him in for a deeper, more needy kiss, letting go of all her pains and troubles.
***
The early morning sun peeped through the window blinds, casting subtle rays across the room.
Natalie groaned and stretched, letting out a small yawn as she wished to sleep some more, but she had to prepare for her big day at the office.
Her eyes slowly fluttered open as she struggled to adjust to the brightness of the room. "Jeez," she whispered as a piercing headache hit her.
Suddenly, she looked around her, and confusion enveloped her, "How... How am I here?" She thought to herself.
The last thing she remembered was being in the sitting room with... "Oh, my God!" Her heart gave a loud thud as realization gradually flooded in. This wasn't her matrimonial room.
Panic took over her as tears flowed freely from her eyes when she further realized she was lying naked. "No..." She whispered at the painful realization that was beginning to flood in when she heard a mild snore coming from the other side of the huge king-sized bed.
She slowly turned her gaze towards the direction of the sound as she prayed earnestly for it not to be what she was thinking as images of the man she had a drink with the previous night crawled into her memory.
Her gaze slowly rested on the sleeping face of the man who had fucked her all night - It was Roan, her husband's brother.
"No! No! No! Oh, my God! What have I done?" She jerked off the bed, her chest heaving heavily as more tears streamed down her cheeks, "Roan!" she yelled.
Roan stirred lazily from his sleep, his eyes still very heavy from the effect of the excess alcohol and lack of proper sleep he had.
"Roan! What have you done!" The piercing voice of an angry woman jolted him out of his drowsiness.
He looked around him, wondering what was going on, "What the fuck? What are you..." His calm, throaty voice, which never betrayed any emotions, filled the room.
Just as Natalia was about to utter her next words, she heard a car driving into the large compound.
She hurried to the window to have a look. Just then, she saw the familiar car come to a halt in the parking lot.
She could feel the whole world come to a standstill as her eyes rested on the last person she wished to see at the moment - Her husband.
"Oh, my God... What do I do? My husband is back, Roan! Why did you do this to me? What did I ever do to you?" She let out painful sobs as she snatched her nightie from the bed.
Without giving Roan a chance to say a word, she stormed out of the room in a hurry, leaving him to wallow in whatever pretentious confusion he was trying to show.
Roan, a charming young man in his early thirties - 31, was a man any woman would kill for... Any woman except his brother's wife.
He was never one to take advantage of any woman, but this woman was a walking temptress, and she didn't even know that.
From the very first day, Roan set eyes on young Natalie, he'd wanted nothing more than to stick his cock right into her and juice her up real good. But all his fantasies about her came to a halt when he found out she wasn't one of those women who'd drool over him at every chance they got.
But God knows he was always drawn to her, no matter how much he tried. Just like last night.
Roan had been on a business trip to Los Angeles. Since his brother had a massive mansion in the city, he saw no reason why he shouldn't spend the entire time at his elder brother's place. The house was always open to him, even before Natalie came into the picture barely two years ago.
This was the second time he had come to visit after his brother got married to Natalie.
He was meant to hang out with friends last night, but he had to pick something up from the mansion before heading out. That was a mistake he shouldn't have made because it is definitely leading to his doom.

Natalie ran as fast as her legs could carry her into her matrimonial room. She wiped off the tears from her eyes as she stood in front of the vanity mirror, making sure she had no trace of her infidelity.
Suddenly, the door pushed open, revealing a tall, muscular man in his early thirties – 33, in his usual black suit and serious demeanor, looking all stressed out but handsome.
Her heart dropped when he smiled at her, revealing his perfect white teeth, his eyes reflecting genuine happiness when they rested on her.
"Honey..." He called as he strode into the vast room, walking over to where she stood. He gave her a hug. "How are you doing?" he asked as he quickly approached the dressing room.
"I am sorry I couldn't return home last night as promised. I had so much to do at the office. I also have a meeting to attend in thirty minutes," He continued, not even giving her the chance to respond to his greetings.
He came out of the dressing room with a neatly ironed and arranged white suit. He carefully lay it on the bed as he walked into the bathroom.
Natalie stood there like a shadow, watching his every move. He hadn't even looked at her for the second time since he walked into the room. Her heart sank.
This was the marriage she got herself into. Natalie Brenton, twenty-two, was the only daughter of the Brenton family – a small, not-so-influential family. She was the head of marketing for the Craydon Group of Companies.
She met Ashton on one of her business visits to his office when she went to get him to sign a contract for Craydon Group. It didn't take long for them to feel this connection between them. Without delay, they got married.
They were so in love with each other. But today, she highly doubted that love. She didn't even get the chance to know the man she was getting married to. It all happened so fast.
Ashton is the head of V & A Holdings. No doubt, he is a very busy man. But why was he so busy that he couldn't even have enough time for his wife?
Natalie sat on the bed, wiping off fresh tears that flowed from her eyes as she pushed back a dangling lock of her rich, ebony hair off her face.
"Babe, aren't you going to the office today?" Ashton's baritone voice brought her out of her sad thoughts.
"Ashton, can you at least look at me for a second?" She said in a firm tone, trying her best to keep her voice down.
Ashton paused, surprised at her outburst, "Is something wrong?" He asked, his brows furrowed, wondering what was happening with his wife.
"Come here," he walked over to her and pulled her up from where she sat, "I am sorry, babe. I am just trying to meet up with the new clients I talked about. What's going on? Have you been crying?" His eyes scanned her features.
She wasn't looking well. He hadn't even noticed when he walked in. He felt guilty.
"I am sorry, baby. Talk to me. What's going on?" He kissed her on the forehead, making her take a deep sigh to calm herself down.
"I went to see the doctor yesterday," she said, observing him. She knew he had forgotten all about the appointment she had with the doctor. But she wasn't ready to make a fuss out of it.
"Oh. Yeah. So, what did he say?"
"He said it's nothing serious. I am just down with a little fever," she announced in a sad tone.
"I'm so sorry to hear that. Are you sure you should be home? Shouldn't you stay at the hospital for a while for proper examination and care?" Concern laced his face, but it was immediately replaced with confusion.
"That is not the point, Ashton!" Natalie half-yelled, "I thought I was pregnant, Ash! But I am not!" She busted out in tears, her sobs filling the entire room.
"God, Nat, are we still on this? Haven't I told you to be patient? We'll make babies soon. Come on!" Ashton's words were filled with frustration. He was getting fed up with everything Natalie was doing.
"When? When, Ashton? We've been married for two whole years! When will the right time be?" More tears streamed down her cheeks as Ashton stepped away from her, walking quickly to the bed where he kept his clothes.
"I am not cut out for this right now. I have a meeting to attend," He said coldly as his demeanor returned to being cold and reserved.
"Are you hiding something from me, Ashton? Why don't you want to have kids with me? Is this about me?" She asked, walking over to where he stood. She needed answers.
"How can you say that? Haven't we been trying? Haven't we been fucking? What else do you want me to do?" He tried to control his anger, which was already shimmering.
"How many times do you make love to me? When was the last time you touched me, Ashton? I am a woman. I have needs, too! It's always about your work! How do I get pregnant when you hardly ever touch me?" She sobbed.
"Maybe you should ask yourself those questions," He said, walking over to the vanity table as he wore some perfumes.
"What do you mean by that? So, this has been about me?" She felt her heart shatter into a million pieces.
"Have a nice day, Natalie," He said coldly and stormed out of the room.
Natalie felt her legs becoming too weak to bear her weight as she gave way to the weakness and let herself fall to the floor.
She clutched her chest tightly, letting the tears flow from her eyes like a fountain. She couldn't stop herself from crying, no matter how hard she tried.
Where had she gone wrong? Why couldn't he tell her where she had gone wrong? She would have apologized. Was it that difficult?

Natalie stepped out of her room in a hurry. She was running late for her day, all thanks to her little crying session, which relieved her of some of her burden.
Her blue corporate gown, slightly below knee level, hung loosely on her body, and her silky ebony hair was styled in a simple bun. She wore light make-up with an almost neutral pink lipstick adorning her small plump lips - her typical everyday looks.
She had applied a little bit of foundation to hide her saggy eyes as she'd not had a proper sleep all night.
As she walked down the corridor of the large mansion, heading towards the stairs, she struggled to put some documents together while holding her handbag under her arm. She was in a hurry.
Her fragile, petite frame suddenly bumped into something really hard, making her drop all the documents she had in her hands, causing them to scatter around the empty hall.
"Oh, my God. I'm..." She paused when she lifted her eyes to see what she had bumped into.
Her eyes felt moist, and her throat went dry when her gaze fell on the familiar figure - Roan.
"R... Roan..." She gulped a dry lump in her throat as she felt her face heating up under his intense gaze.
She had almost forgotten all about her sinful experience with him, all thanks to Ashton. As she stood before him, memories of waking up beside him came flooding in, making her heart pump a little faster. She could swear he heard her heart beating.
Although she couldn't recall all that had happened that night, but she knew it was intense, as she felt sore all over her body, including down there.
"Running late?" Roan's sinful voice broke her out of her reverie, and she almost died with embarrassment at the way she stared at him lustfully.
"I'm sorry," She said as she quickly bent down to pick up the papers scattered all over the floor with trembling hands.
Roan bent down to meet her, helping her gather them up, "I should have watched where I was going," he said, almost as if he was doing all that intentionally... Seducing her.
His voice was enough to make any woman drool... We don't even want to talk about his looks. Any woman would kill to be with this man... But not Natalie. She was a woman who was faithful to the core. She had never for once cheated, and she wasn't going to start now.
"Thank you," She said quickly as she made to leave, but his strong hand held her back.
"Natalie..." He called in the most seductive way ever. Her name sounded like a mix of winter breeze with a touch of dew coming from him to her own ears.
"Roan," she called out firmly, brushing off every dirty image and emotion his presence was making her have, "Nothing happened between us last night. It was all a mistake. I was drunk, and I mistook you for my husband. It never happened," She said, her Hazel eyes locked with his ocean-blue eyes as she uttered those words.
Her words stirred something within Roan but he kept his cool, letting go of her wrist.
Natalie walked away without sparing him another glance.
"Natalie?" He called her, but she didn't respond as she descended the stairs, heading for the exit.
Roan looked at the papers in his hands, a devilish grin tugging the side of his lips. He walked back into his room.
He sat on his bed, frustration, and longing to overwhelm him. He couldn't seem to get her naked frame off his mind. Damn! That body!
He wondered why she never flaunted what her mama gave to her. She was always too modestly dressed, just like this morning.
And even her modest dresses still couldn't hide her sinful curves. Those curves could make any man lose his senses.
Roan wondered why his brother decided to be such a fool. He had such an asset and decided to be a fool?
If Natalie belonged to him, he'd never cheat on her nor do anything that'd hurt her. 'Ashton doesn't know what he has... Someone else has to show him how to value a woman like Natalie,' He thought to himself.

"Tiana! I don't know what to do!" Natalie paced her office nervously as she spoke to the one person she had in the world who would never judge her.
"Come on, Natalie. You have to calm down, and let's have a meaningful conversation about this," Tiana, twenty-three, has been Natalie's childhood best friend. They've been inseparable, and there was Nothing about each other they didn't know about.
"Okay... I'm calm, Tia," Natalie said, sitting at the edge of her huge mahogany table where she had tons of work scattered around, waiting for her attention, but she ignored every one of them.
"I am happy you told him to forget about all of it. It never happened. You were drunk, and that was it. Okay?" Tiana said, holding her friend's trembling hands.
"What if Ashton finds out?"
"Do you plan on telling him?" Tiana asked with furrowed brows, making Natalie shake her head vigorously, "Then you have nothing to worry about, babe."
"And as for your husband, just give him time. You are not the problem, okay? If he had a problem with something, I think he should come up straight and tell you about it. Else, how would you know?" Tiana was a little bit displeased with Ashton's words to her friend, and she was going to talk to him about it.
"I really wish he'd talk to me. I am willing to do anything to make things work, Tia..." Her eyes glistened with unshed tears, but Tiana stopped her from crying.
"I'll go talk to him while you have your meeting, okay? I'll see if I can get him to talk," Tiana said with an assuring smile, "meanwhile, let's get you prepared for your meeting. Are all your documents ready?" She said, walking over to the other side of the table to help her put things in order.
"Yes. The meeting is not until another two hours. I can put them together later. Just go to Ashton already," Natalie's pleading eyes scanned around the table to ensure everything was ready for the meeting.
"Oh, my God..." She murmured, searching frantically for the contract agreement the clients were meant to sign at the meeting, "Where are the contracts?" She mumbled, still searching the entire table.
"Are you certain you brought them in?" Tiana asked, checking the drawers too.
Immediately, realization hit her... She must have missed them while gathering them from the floor after she bumped into Roan... The thought of him sent a shiver through her body, making her heart skip a beat. But she brushed it off.
"I... I must have left them in the house," Natalie said to Tiana, "I'll go get them immediately," she hurriedly picked up her car keys and phone.
"Are you sure? I can come with you," Tiana offered, worry lacing her tone.
"Don't worry, Tia. He goes out every morning. He's on a business trip here, remember? I am safe," she said with a genuine smile as she walked toward the door, "Just get to Ashton, please. I am desperate to know what he'd say."
"Alright. I'll be on my way now," Tiana said with a reassuring smile as her friend hurried out of the office.

The black Sedan car came to a stop in front of the massive building with a bold inscription, V & A HOLDINGS.
The not-so-tall lady in a white gown that stood very much above knee-length made her way into the building. Her short, sleek blonde hair, perfectly cut into a bob with a side patting, made her way straight to the reception.
She looked around, but there was no one at the reception. Knowing her way around the building, she wasted no time waiting for the receptionist as she strolled into the elevator, her perfectly manicured fingers clicking on the buttons.
The elevator dinged, announcing her arrival on the seventh floor of the building. She stepped out, her red heels making slight click sounds on the shiny floor as she made her way straight to the CEO's office.
She stood in front of the office, which was almost alone in the vast corridor. The seventh floor was for the CEO, his secretary, and a few other persons, and their offices were so far apart that you might even murder someone in his office, and no one would hear a sound.
Just as she was about to knock on the door, she overheard some muffled sounds coming from the office.
She paused to listen carefully. She felt her heart drop when she heard the sounds clearly. It was the sound of a woman's moans of ecstasy, followed by the loud grunts of a man who was obviously on cloud nine. The sounds of wet skin slapping against each other gave her a clearer picture of what was happening.
She instinctively pushed the door slowly, peeping into the big office space. She let out a small gasp at the sight before her.
It was Ashton... Her best friend's husband lustfully banging another woman on his office table.
Tiana felt her stomach churn, and she felt a hot rush of bile rise in her throat. 'Was this the same man who was too busy to even fuck his own wife?' She thought as hot tears gathered in her eyes.
They were so engrossed in their forbidden act that they didn't notice her presence. Ashton kept moaning like an animal who had been starved of sex for years.
The woman's face was not so visible to her, but she could swear she had seen that face before.
Tiana brought out her phone and quickly took a video of the beast in his beastly form. It was going to serve as evidence.
"Oh, fuck... I can kill to make you all mine," he said as he pounded into her hungrily.
"Then why are you still with her?" The woman asked as she moaned his name loudly.
"She is nothing to me, and you know that," he reached for her neck and grabbed it, making her look into his eyes, "You are so hot and sexy. She is so timid that she doesn't even turn me on." He said as he plunged harder into her, kissing her neck so sensually.
"I love you, Ashton," The lady's sensual voice said almost breathlessly, their moans getting louder as they were both approaching their climax.
Tiana gasped, quietly closing the door, but she was careless enough to make a sound that she regretted instantly.
"Who is there?" Ashton's husky voice asked as he quickly strode toward the door.
