Mr. Geun's Second Wife

Jung-Won groans as sunlight streams in through the window. He shifts his weight and turns to face his lovely wife, who is sound asleep. Jung-Won takes a look at the wall clock. It is displayed at seven o'clock. He smiles and returns his gaze to his lovely wife. Jung-Won slid his hands beneath the duvet and wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer to him. Jung-Won closes his eyes and rests his head on her chest. Eun-Hee is having trouble breathing because her chest becomes heavy. She blinks open her eyes and looks down at her chest, where her husband is sleeping and pouting.

Eun-Hee grins at his cuteness and strokes his hair. She kisses Jung-Won on the cheek and takes her phone. Her eyes widen as she checks the missed hospital calls. Jung-Won groans and tightens his grip on Eun-waist, Hee's making it difficult for Eun-Hee to move and breathe.

"Good morning, Mr. Geun," Eun-Hee says, her voice deep in the morning. Jung-Won raises his head and looks at his wife.

"Good day, Mrs. Geun." In a deep, husky voice, he wishes his wife, making her heart melt.

"Aww, my adorable baby." Eun-Hee adores her husband and kisses him on the cheek. Jung-Won pouts and rubs his cheeks. Eun-Hee laughs and kisses his pouted lips. Jung-Won smiles as he hovers over her. Eun-Hee is startled by his sudden movement and tries to push him.

"W-we're running late for work, Mr. Geun." She blushes and declares. Jung-Won grins and leans in close to her. "Why are you so shy right now? I'm not doing this for the first time." He says it seductively. She shoves him and walks straight to the bathroom, not looking back. Jung-Won bursts out laughing at his wife's cuteness.

Seon Soon- Ja and Rowan are sitting in front of her orphanage's office. She is waiting her turn, having turned twenty the night before.

"Miss Seon, Mrs. Wang wants to see you right now; please be courteous, as she is the owner of this establishment." The orphanage's guardian says this to her calmly and politely.

Soon-Ja gives her a nod of agreement. Before entering the office, Soon-Ja stands up and takes a deep breath.

Jung-Won is attempting to tie his tie. He is working harder to get it right. Eun-Hee is amused by her husband's irritated expression. She laughs and approaches him. Jung-Won gives her a compliment face. She smiles, takes his tie in her hand, and begins tying him. Jung-Won smiles, moves his hands to her waist, and pulls her in close.

"Mr. Husband, calm down; we're already late." He rolls his eyes and leans in close to her. He's about to kiss her when her phone rings. Jung-Won flinches slightly, causing her to chuckle. "Believe me, your phone is one of my enemies." Eun-Hee shakes her head and takes a look at her phone. Jung-Won looks down at her phone, and the caller makes her heart race. "I believe Dr. Haneul should brush up on his manners." He says this with his teeth clenched. Eun-Hee sighs, knowing that her husband dislikes Dr. Haneul.

"Don't be envious, honey. I am entirely yours." He pulls his wife close by the waist and pecks her lips after hearing her statement. She smiles and kisses him softly on the cheek. They both went downstairs for breakfast after getting ready.

"Mom, good morning." They greet Young Ga-Eun before taking their seats and joining her at the table. Mrs. Young smiles softly and nods as they begin to eat their breakfast.

Jung-Won stops in front of the humongous hospital. Eun-Hee smiles and prepares to exit the car. Jung-Won grips her wrist, forcing her to look at him. She looks at him, puzzled. "Come on, hurry up and give it to me." She frowns and looks at him blankly.

"What are you on about? Mr. Geun, please leave me alone; I'm already late." He sighs and rolls his eyes before proceeding. "Mrs. Geun, kiss me goodbye. You can be so stupid at times." Jung-won says, making her laugh. She kisses him on the cheek, rushes out of the car, and rushes into the building. Jung-Won shakes his head and begins driving away.

Soon-Ja is strolling through the streets. Mrs. Wang's words continue to bother her. She takes a look at her road before proceeding to cross it. Soon-Ja sighs and takes a step forward. Her eyes well up with tears as she chuckles sadly. She fails to notice that the traffic lights are green. Her body is numb, and she is completely lost.

Jung-Won is driving his car straight down the road to work. The traffic lights are also green, indicating that he may proceed. His attention is drawn to a young woman wearing a white one-piece dress with full sleeves. The dress's fabric is embellished with white flowers. Smooth, long hair blows in the breeze. Jung-Won makes her move by pressing the horn. If she responds and moves away, he panics and honks again. She doesn't move an inch; the car is only a few feet away. Jung-Won applies the hand brake to bring the car to a halt. Jung-Won gets out of the car and approaches the girl as the squealing sound draws everyone's attention. She has been walking indefinitely and is unconcerned about her life. Jung-Won pulls her in closer, causing her head to collide with his hard chest. As she returns to reality, she exhales. Her heart is pounding loudly across her chest.

Meanwhile, Eun-Hee walks into her office, where Dr. Haneul is sitting in front of her desk, back to her. She sighs and settles into her chair at her desk. "What are you doing here during working hours, Dr. Haneul?" While checking her schedule on her iPad, she questions him. Dr. Haneul sighs and casts a soft glance at her. "Good day, Dr. Young." He greets her with a frown and a disbelieving look. "My name is Dr. Geun, and as you know, I am married." Eun-Hee corrects him while smiling. Dr. Haneul sighs and rolls his eyes.

"I'm here to inform you that we will be visiting the seniors' meeting at noon at two o'clock." He shifts the subject. She nods and smiles at him.

Soon-Ja raises her head to see the face of the person who saved her. Her gaze met the angry one. Jung-Won was staring at her with a menacing stare. Soon-Ja gulps and lowers her head, clearly terrified. "Are you insane?" He exploded on her. She sobbed quietly. She sobs, "I-I'm sorry, Mr." "What's the matter with kids these days?" "Do you not care about your parents?" Jung-Won screams at her. Soon-Ja flinches and casts a glance down the road. After a while, he is able to control his rage. Soon-Ja continues to look down the road. He sighs and pats her on the head. "Never give up on your dreams." He says this before getting into his car and driving away.

Jung-Won enters his company and goes to his office. Everyone bows to him in respect. As he enters his office, there is his Gyeol Don-Hyun friend and assistant waiting for him. Jung-Won goes to his desk and sits and Don-Hyun looks at the iPad and starts telling him about today's meetings. "Mr. Geun, you have a meeting with Mr. Kang at 10:00 A.M. After that you have to attend the interview with the news channel, and then you have lunch with Mrs. Geun. After that, you need to sign all the files which were pending because of the pandemic"

Jung-Won nods at him and starts his work. Don-Hyun bows and goes out of his office. After a few moments, Jun-Won takes his file and phone steps out of the office.

In the hospital, Eun-Hee is busy with her work, checking emails and reports of patients on her laptop. Suddenly her phone rings, making her flinch. She glances at the caller ID and a beautiful smile appears on her lips. She quickly picks up the call. "Hello, I miss you, baby." She says to Jung-Won, who is grinning like an idiot. "I miss you more, babe," Jung-Won says in his deep romantic voice, making Eun-Hee's heart flutter. "Come out, I am here outside of your hospital's building. Let's have lunch together. Eun-Hee smiles and hangs up the call before taking her thing for leaving. After a few moments, Eun-Hee comes out and goes near her husband. "Hope I didn't make you wait so long." Eun-Hee states. Jung-Won shakes his head and opens the car door for her. "Where are we going?" She asks while fixing her seatbelt.

"To your favourite restaurant, which is near the highway bridge." She nods and starts checking her phone. Jung-Won glances at her phone and shakes his head before taking her phone from her hand. "We are here to spend time, baby," Jung-Won says with a pouty face that makes Eun-Hee giggle. She kisses Jung-Won's cheek, making him giggle too.

Soon-Ja is sitting at the restaurant waiting for someone. She is so impatient now, looking everywhere to find someone. Suddenly, a boy near twenty-five comes and sits with her. "You took so long, Zuzu." She says sadly. "But I am here now," Zuzu says coldly. "I want to ask you, Zuzu, when will we get married?" She questions, making Zuzu's eyes widen.

"W-what are you talking about Soon-Ja?" He stutters, making her frown. "I am asking you this because you told me we will get married soon." Soon-Ja states. Zuzu shakes his head and smirks plasters on his face. "I told you, but I don't wanna marry you now." He says to her and her eyes well up with tears. "W-why?" Soon-Ja whispers under her breath.

"Who told you I will marry an orphan? I will never go against my mother." Zuzu is the only child of Mrs. Wang, the owner of the orphanage. "Why are you doing this to me Zuzu?" Soon-Ja asks in sobs. "STOP IRRITATING ME SOON-JA." He yells at her, making her flinch and catching everyone's attention towards them. "You are such a LOSER." "How can you think I WILL MARRY A NERD LIKE YOU?" "My mom is right, you are nothing but a TRASH. That is why your PARENTS THREW YOU AWAY." Before he says further, someone punches him in the face, causing him to fall to the floor. Eun-Hee quickly grabs Jung-Won's arm to make him stop. Soon-Ja leaves the palace immediately while numb.

Flashback.

Jung-Won and Eun-Hee were waiting for their meals when suddenly they heard someone's sobs. They shared a glance and shifted their gazes on the table which was next to them. The boy was saying harsh words to a girl who was just looking down, not daring to meet his gaze. Jung-Won felt her pain. The words of the boy reminded him of his past. He couldn't control himself and punched him.

"Jung-Won leaves him," Eun-Hee says and back hugs him, making him stop. The manager of the restaurant comes and bows at Jung-Won. Jung-Won leaves the place angrily. Eun-Hee follows him, Jung-Won is standing near his car, controlling his anger. "Hey big guy, why do you do that?" She touches his cheek, and a tear rolls down to his eyes. Eun-Hee immediately hugs him. "Hey, it is okay, baby. You don't need to remember the past." She says with concern. He nods and breaks the hug. Eun-Hee is about to say something but her phone rings. She glances at Jung-Won and he nods to permit. After the call, Eun-Hee comes to him and smiles. "Jung-Won, I have an important meeting near here. You go. I'll be back with Dr. Haneul." She says and Jung-Won sighs before saying further. ``Take care of yourself" She nods and hugs him and he leaves the place. Eun-Hee sighs and waits for Dr. Haneul.

Soon-Ja is standing near the highway bridge with a numb body. Zuzu's words keep hitting her mind. Soon-Ja is feeling so hopeless. She doesn't know where to go and what to do. She closes her eyes, and a flashback appears.

Soon-Ja was sitting in front of Mrs. Wang. "You are now twenty-years-old Soon-Ja. We can't let you live here. Find a place to live and earn for yourself." Mrs. Wang stated, Soon-Ja nodded at her. Mrs. Wang sighed before continuing. "Soon-Ja, there is no space for you. Please try to understand." Soon-Ja opens her eyes and glances down at the water. She sighs, "I think after that everyone will be happy." She says, ready to jump.

"Dr. Haneul, please check the file and send it to me," Eun-Hee says, and hands the file to Dr. Haneul. Suddenly, her eyes land on a girl who is about to jump on the bridge. Eun-Hee's eyes widen and she runs towards her. Before Soon-Ja takes a step, Eun-Hee pulls her body towards her. Eun-Hee looks at Soon-Ja, who is unconscious in her arms. Dr. Haneul comes to them and sighs. "Dr. Kang, you did a good job. Let's take her to the hospital."

Eun-Hee nods and Dr. Haneul takes Soon-Ja in his arms and runs to his car. After placing her in the backseat, they drive to the hospital.

Jung-Won leans in his chair and sighs. "What is wrong with Dr. Haneul? Why is he always trying to get near my wife?" Jung-Won says and rubs his temple and today's scene comes to his mind. "Who was that girl? I think I saw her before somewhere." He whispers as Soon-Ja's face comes to his mind. "Forget it. Let's focus on your work, Geun." He sighs and starts his work.

Soon-Ja opens her eyes and glances everywhere to identify the place. She tries to get up to the bed but fails as she feels the sharp pain in her head. She holds her head and screams. "Aghhhhh." Suddenly, the door wide open and Eun-Hee with Dr. Haneul enters the room.

"Relax," Eun-Hee says and makes Soon-Ja lie on the bed. "Where am I?" Soon-Ja asks her and Eun-Hee smiles before saying further to her. "You are in the hospital. Now relax. You need to take a rest first. We will talk about it tomorrow." Eun-Hee says calmly and gives her medicine before leaving the hospital. "Dr. Haneul, please make sure before leaving, she is okay." Dr. Haneul nods at her and follows her.

Jung-Won loses his tie as he is tired as hell. He drops himself on the couch in the living room. Suddenly, he feels a pair of arms around his neck. A smile appears on his lips, he closes his eyes and smells Eun-Hee perfume. "You are home, baby," Eun-Hee says and kisses his cheek, making him blush. "Go freshen up. I am heating the food." Eun-Hee smiles and Jung-Won nods at her before going to his room.

Eun-Hee goes to the kitchen and turns on the stove, and starts heating the food. She is busy placing plates and dishes on the table. A pair of arms wrap around her waist behind her back, she gasps. "Jung-Won snuggles his face into her neck and inhales her perfume. "You smell nice, baby," Jung-Won states, making her heart pound. "Let's have dinner, Jung-Won," Eun-Hee says, making sure not to be weak in his touches. "I wanna stay like this some more moments," Jung-Won says, his breath touching Eun-Hee's bare skin, making her breath hitch. They stay in the same place for a few moments. Jung-Won makes Eun-Hee sit on his lap and she feeds him food.

After having dinner, Eun-Hee wipes Jung-Won's lips and pecks him. He smiles and pulls her closer to her waist and leans to kiss her. His lips touch her, Eun-Hee closes her eyes as she feels his lips on her, Jung-Won kisses her softly, making her heart pound faster. He leans down to her jawline and kisses her softly. Eun-Hee tightens her grip on Jung-Won's shoulders. Jung-Won smirks and feels happy to see his wife feeling the same as before. Jung-Won looks into her eyes and smiles. "I Love You." She smiles and hugs him. "I Love You Too." Jung-Won takes her in his arms and goes towards their room. "Let's continue it in our room," Jung-Won says in his husky, seductive voice, sending shivers down her spine. She blushes and buries her face in Jung-Won's chest.

In the morning, Jung-Won was admiring his wife's face. He caresses her hair and smiles. Eun-Hee opens her eyes and smiles at her husband. "Good Morning, Husband." She wishes him a morning. Jung-Won leans close to her and kisses her softly. "Morning, Wife," Jung-Won replies to her. Eun-Hee gets up off the bed and steps towards the closet. She takes her dress but stops as her gaze lands on her husband. "You are not enough?" She asks and Jung-Won shakes his head. Eun-Hee rolls her eyes and throws a towel on Jung-Won's face. "Go freshen up, or you will be late for work." Jung-Won groans at her work and goes to the restroom. Eun-Hee laughs and shakes her head.

In front of the hospital building, Eun-Hee steps out of the car, and Jung-Won gives her a flying kiss before driving away. Eun-Hee enters her office and checks her schedule for today. A small knock on the door catches her attention. "Come in." She permits the person. Dr. Haneul comes inside her office and she gives him a look. Dr. Haneul smiles and sits in the chair. "The girl you bought yesterday. She is doing all fine now. I am here to tell you about her." Dr. Haneul says professionally and smiles. "Okay, Dr. Haneul." Eun-Hee answers as her eyes are fixed on her laptop. After a few moments, Eun-Hee goes out of her office with Dr. Haneul. She enters the room, catching Soon-Ja's attention. She checks her and smiles. "You are recovering quick as I can see you are a strong lady," Eun-Hee says softly. "Even though I don't want 'Good' always saves me to show the world's worst side," Soon-Ja says while inhaling a deep breath. Eun-Hee and Dr. Haneul frowns at her words, sharing their glance. "Is it too hard to find happiness in this world?" Soon-Ja asks Eun-Hee while looking deeply into her eyes. "Why do you have to face all these worst people to find a better one?" Soon-Ja sighs before saying further. "Why is it a crime to be an orphan in this world? Do we ask our parents to throw us out of their lives? Why did they give us birth when they can't take care of us?" Eun-Hee's eyes softened on her words. "Why did you save me? You know you made me alive, now I have to live this life. It is painful." Soon-Ja sobs, making Eun-Hee's heart clenches. Eun-Hee sits close to her and holds her hand. "Everything is gonna be okay," Eun-Hee says, but Soon-Ja jerks her hand away. "It is simple to say, but hard for us. You can say that easily." Eun-Hee smiles and wipes Soon-Ja's tears away. "I am saying this because I know how it feels. I have seen a person who was just like you when I met him for the first time and, trust me, he is a cheerful man. Happiness finds the ways to come. We don't need to run for them. Trust me." Eun-Hee says and Soon-Ja smiles a little.

"Where did you live? We need your basic information." Eun-Hee asks but frowns as she sees Soon-Ja's teary eyes. "I have no place to live," Soon-Ja answers, Eun-Hee feels the same pain as before. Everything is the same: her face, her smile, her story, and the pain.

At night, Eun-Hee and Soon-Ja are sitting in front of Mrs. Young. She is glaring at Soon-Ja as Eun-Hee tells her everything about Soon-Ja. It does not satisfy her mother with Eun-Hee's decision. She feels something bad, something different towards Soon-Ja's presence.

"You think Jung-Won will agree with your decision to take her to our house." Mrs. Young says while shooting death glares at Soon-Ja. "Take who?" They all flinch as they hear Jung-Won's voice all of a sudden.
