CHAPTER ONE
"I'm not interested in attending the party." Sophia said as calmly as she could but honestly, her creepy manager was starting to get on her nerves.
"It's not your choice to make, Soph.-"
"Stop calling me that. My name is Sophia." She glared at him.
"Sorry, Sophia. The big boss is coming today and as his employees, we need to be present at his welcome party." Andre smiled.
Sophia huffed and stormed out of his office and with every step she made, she could feel Andre's lingering gaze on her backside.
That pervert!
"Are you okay?" Indira, one of her colleagues asked as Sophia plopped on her chair.
"No, it's this stupid party." She bit her lips in anger.
"What's wrong with it? Aren't you excited? Everyone says he is handsome and quite the catch. I heard he's also single." Indira giggled.
"I'm not trying to gain his attention."
"Not if you're dressed that way." Indira made a gesture at her entire outfit, "That black jumpsuit you have on is hugging every curve God bless you with and then you packed your hair in an updo exposing your neck. You look like you're hunting."
"Hunting for who?" One of her eyebrows shot up in pure genuine confusion.
"An unsuspecting god-level hotness billionaire, perhaps?" Indira shrugged.
"Honestly, if I had a body like yours, Ben would not be leaving my bed tonight." She grinned.
Sophia shook her head, Indira was not a slut but the words that sometimes came out of her mouth would make one think otherwise.
It's not the notion of the party that made her upset, it was the lingering feeling in the pit of her stomach, the kind that she got whenever something was going to go wrong.
Somehow, she could feel that something bad would happen at that party and that's why she didn't want to go.
Might as well finish my work for today... She thought to herself and began clicking away at her keyboard.

*AT THE PARTY*
"Come on girl! Loosen up! You're sticking out like a sore thumb." Indira grinned as she grabbed Sophia by her hand and pulled her to the dance floor.
"I'm not in the mood, Indira." Sophia whined.
"Silly! Come on. Wait! Let me get you a drink."
Mary, who had been watching Sophia all night to make sure she tried nothing funny, saw this as an opportunity and immediately swooped in.
She was going to get Sophia out of the way. She would not let her steal the spotlight from her. All night, Andre had been eyeing Sophia and she knew that if Ben saw Sophia, he might fall for her.
Mary couldn't let that happen.
She grabbed a waiter and stuffed some cash in his hand.
"You see that girl over there,"
"The pretty one in black?"
Mary scowled, "Yes, her. Give her this drink and tell her it's from Indira. Make sure she drinks it all."
Mary watched as the waiter walked up to Sophia and watched as she drank it all.
Sophia immediately began to feel dizzy.
When did I become such a lighthead? I could at least take three glasses before the alcohol kicks in. Sophia thought to herself.
"Oh, you've already had a drink!" Indira smiled as she dropped the extra glass on the bar stand beside Sophia.
"Didn't you send it? Gosh, I feel tired all of a sudden." Sophia yawned. "I need to use the bathroom."
"Don't worry, we've been given permission to use the guest rooms in the house. So just take one and rest. I'll see you tomorrow in the office, okay?"
Indira leaned over and pecked her cheeks before scramming away.
Sophia had no idea how she was able to make it up the stairs into one of the guestrooms, but the minute she was done, she collapsed on the bed and passed out.
Chris stumbled into his room drunk. His eyes were very clear or at least he thought they were.
He'd been waiting for her text all through the night but received nothing back in return. Maybe she had something to do or perhaps...perhaps...
He stopped as he saw a body wrapped in his white bedsheet, sleeping peacefully.
Mia...
He whispered to himself.
He didn't know how she could possibly be in his room but Chris was damn sure that the woman on his bed was Mia.
Hi Mia.
He quickly pulled off his clothes and got into the bed with Mia.
She smelt nice, better than before and her skin felt softer. A small purr left his lips as he buried his nose in her neck. He sucked at the sensitive spot in her neck that he was very familiar with and even deep in her sleep, she responded to him.
She always responded to him and it always drove him crazy how sensitive she was.
"You have no idea what you do to me, Mia." He murmured against her skin and his hands began to work.
He needed to feel her naked skin against his, badly, he had to.
He reached around for an opening in her dress and smiled as he felt the zipper. In less than seconds, Mia was naked underneath him, surrounded by the ghostly color of the moonlight illuminating his bedroom.
His finger traced the soft curve of her face and he leaned down to kiss her lips, claiming them softly and tugging on it in a lover's gentle caress.
He pulled away when he felt her shift against him.
"My Mia. My Love..."
She raised her hand slowly to frame his face, rubbing the pad of her fingertips against his chiseled jaw and his right cheekbone.
Chris had to admit, his Mia was looking more beautiful in the moonlight.
"I've been waiting for you." he whispered in her ears as he bit against the skin of her neck.
"The wait is finally over. I'm here now." He whispered as he thrust into her pleasing heat, wet and tight for him.
CHAPTER TWO
Sophia woke up with a smile on her face. She had the craziest, weirdest dream ever. And her whole body felt complete and satisfied for some weird reason.
She shifted in her big bed and paused.
Two things were not right.
One she felt naked and two...she looked up slowly, and there in her bed, wrapped in his embrace was a man...a very sexy man.
"Ahhhhhhh-Oof!"
Chris opened his eyes just as his body rolled off the bed.
He was able to save his head from smashing on the floor. He'd never fallen off his bed and he tried to remember what exactly it was that woke him up.
Sophia on the other hand, felt the middle of her legs become sore with pain as she pushed Chris off the bed with her two legs.
Immediately she pulled off the white bedsheet and her eyes went wide with mortification.
If the soreness wasn't the dead give away, then the red stain on her thighs and on the white sheets just told her what she needed to know.
She'd just been raped, in her own bed and in her own house.
"No, no, no...please... no! Nooo!" She yelled and Chris stood up immediately to see a strange woman in his bed, naked, wrapped up in his sheet and sobbing as she stared at her body.
Chris looked around the room and he was very sure he wasn't dreaming nor was he hallucinating.
"Who...who are you?" He asked, his gaze questioning.
Sophia looked up at him with anger boiling in her teary eyes and Chris couldn't help but notice how beautiful she was.
"You psychotic bastard!" She grabbed a pillow and flung it at him. Chris grabbed it just before it made contact with his face.
"What the-" He sucked as he saw the flower vase coming towards his direction. He shielded himself with the pillow as the vase shattered above him.
"How dare you rape me! In my own apartment!" Sophia continued to sob and cry and throw things at Ben who was trying his best to stay alive and avoid the harmful objects she was throwing his way.
"Stop! I didnt-Ah! Fuck!.. I didn't rape you."
"You fucking liar. I am naked in my bed with the crimson color of my virginity staring at me in the face! Couldn't you look for a bitch ready to sell you her body for a few bucks! I'll kill you today."
Chris knew that if he wasn't careful, this crazy woman would definitely murder him in his own house.
So as soon as Sophia turned to look for something else to throw at him, he jumped on her, and pinned her down to the bed.
"Oh, you want to rape me again! Let me go!" She yelled, tears flowing down into her hairline.
Chris held her two hands down with one and slammed the other hand on her mouth.
"You'll shut up and listen to me, crazy lady. I don't know you and I've never met you but I didn't rape you. And before you start throwing accusations at me, this is my house. Look around."
And that's when Sophia realized it.
She didn't have white sheets or a white walls with golden decor. Her room was more girlish.
Chris saw when realizàtion hit her and even he already came to a conclusion on his own.
"Were you here for last night's party?" He asked and she nodded.
Chris sighed, "You must have come into my bedroom by accident last night but trust me, I didn't rape you. I thought you were my girlfriend..."
The tears began to pile up and fall in full force.
Chris felt guilty pricking his chest and immediately asked, "If I let you go, you need to promise to not throw anything at me."
Sophia nodded and Chris pulled away, she immediately sat up and pulled the sheet around her.
"I was drunk and you must have been as well because I..."
"Can you leave the room please?" Chris said nothing. She looked up at him with wide eyes, glossy with tears. She'd just lost her virginity to a stranger in her boss's house. All she wanted was to be far away from here and him. "Please..."
Chris turned around and walked away leaving Sophia to do her thing in the bathroom.
When she was done, she got dressed and left the bedroom, not wanting to face him anymore.

*SOPHIA'S APARTMENT*
"Sophia! You're back–" She looked up at her best friend as she walked in.
Sophia watched as the smile on Kira's face slowly morphed into concern. "Soph, are you okay? Why do you look...?"
"I'm fine, I got drunk. I'm just feeling hungover and a little tired." She said before making her way to her room.
"Okay, I'm heading out. There is left over rice and chicken in the kitchen. Take some pills okay? I know how bad your hangover can get! " Kira called out after her best friend.
Sophia didn't release her tears until she heard the front door slam shut before her body leaned down against the door.
Her heart felt like it was breaking to pieces as gut-wrenching sobs escaped her lips. This was not how she planned to lose my virginity.
She imagined a wedding with the man she loved and giving it to him as a gift on their wedding night, but she ended up losing it to a one night stand at a welcome party, how ironic.
She wrapped herself like a burrito with her blanket and cried herself to sleep.

*THE OFFICE*
"This is our typist and tech guru, Sophia. Beautiful, hard working gem. Sophia met Ben, our new Boss."
Andre was talking but Sophia was not listening. Her whole attention was on the man in front of her.
A cruel slap of fate
Chiseled jaw, brown eyes and dark silky hair.
It's the stranger from yesterday and he's her boss.
Chris!
Her stomach churned at his sight.
Chapter 3
"Nice to meet you, Miss Sophia." His voice came out smooth and calm that you'd actually think we've never met before.
At least one of them was very composed at this revelation. Sophia on the other hand was on the verge of having a panic attack.
"Sophia, are you okay?" Andre asked. She looked pale, like she was about to pass out and was she breathing?
Chris stared at the woman who was having a full blown internal attack, she was doing a very bad job at pretending not to know him. Chris raised his hand and cupped her face. "Breathe."
The minute he touched her, she inhaled sharply and her eyes became foggy, Sophia shook her head to try and gain control of her fuzzy mind.
"Yeah, sorry. Nice to meet you, Mr. White." She stepped back from his touch, bowed, instead of taking his outstretched hand and excused herself to the bathroom.
Sophia leaned against the door of the bathroom and tried to control her breathing. She moved towards the sink and splashed water on her face.
Sophia didn't remember doing anything awfully wrong that she deserved this much karma.
Will he fire me?
Will he insult me in front of everyone?
What if he thinks I intentionally slept with him?
What would people think if they knew that I slept with my boss?
Different thoughts were flying through her mind but she maintained composure.
There was only one way to survive in a situation like this.
Avoid him!
If she could show him that she didn't care who he was and just focused on her job, then he wouldn't think she intentionally set him up.
"That's it. You can do it. Avoid him and you'll be fine." She said, giving herself a little pep talk but little did she know that things were about to get even harder.
Chris watched as she scurried away and shifted his focus back to the next employee.
By the time he was done, Chris was exhausted and he hadn't even begun the day's work yet.
"This is your receptionist and your temporary secretary." Andre explained to him and Chris stared at him confused, "Temporary? Why?"
"I recently got married and my husband and I are moving to the other side of the country. I'm just here to assist you for a while until you find a replacement."
Chris sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, "Isn't there anyone fit for the role of Secretary in the whole company?"
"We didn't think it'll be appropriate to pick anyone from the company. We were considering putting out a vacancy and interviewing-"
"I'm sure you heard what she said." Chris cut him off, "She's newlywed and should not be away from her husband.
Interviewing someone would take ages. Put out the vacancy within the company and whoever I pick, you have to find a replacement for that person."
Andre nodded, "Of course. I'll do that right away."
Paige watched Andre scurry away and shook her head, "I tried to explain to him but he's too stubborn."
"You shouldn't be here working. I promise to let you off as quickly as possible."
Chris would understand because his girlfriend Mia was a model with a tight schedule and he wished he could spend more time with her.
"If you don't mind Boss, I have someone to recommend for my position."
Mia looked away from his phone and looked at Paige, "Who?"
"Sophia Davis."
"The tech lady?" He asked.
Paige nodded, "Yes. Sophia is the most hardworking lady I've ever come across and her CV is so much better than the job she's being asked to perform."
"But why didn't you recommend her to Andre?" Chris wanted to know why she was informing him instead of Andre.
"I did, but he shut me down. He said the Tech Unit needed Sophia but I highly doubt that. There are tens of employees doing the exact job she is doing currently." Paige responded.
Chris thought about it for a while but dismissed the idea. He couldn't work with Sophia....not after what happened between them.
He just didn't have the courage to face her and the way she stared at him earlier, killed him.
"I'll think about it. Let's try to focus on our schedule for today."
And just like that, he got down to business.
It was late at night when Chris finally made a move to go home.
He already dismissed Paige early so he was the only one left in the company, except some other employees who were pulling an all-nighter.
As he made his way to the garage his phone's ringing tone went off.
Mia.
He immediately picked up, "Mia, my love."
"Hello my dearest. I have a surprise for you. Turn around."
Chris's eyebrows scrunched up in a frown and he slowly turned, watching a silhouette walking towards him slowly.
It didn't take him seconds to recognize his beautiful girlfriend.
"Mia!" He grinned and walked up to her, both of them meeting at the center. Uma threw her hands around his neck and he held her body to his.
"I can't believe you're finally here." He exclaimed with joy as he buried his face in her neck.
"Me either." Mia said with a smile as she pulled away from Chris and smashed her lips against his.
"Fuck, I've missed this."
After minutes of kisses and touches, Chris pecks Mia's forehead.
"You came at the right time. I want you to meet my parents." Chris said with a smile and Mia felt ecstatic.
She and Chris had been planning this for a while now and this was the last stage to getting their marriage approved.
Meeting Chris's parents was a big deal in their relationship and she was going to do anything to gain their approval. Thankfully, she had dressed appropriately and had the right amount of naivety and smartness around
her.
Mia was all smiles until she came face to face with Mrs. White.
"What is she doing here?"
