"Alpha E!"

A man's voice echoed in the empty hallway, he walked hastily down the hall and stopped at the front of a double doored room.

He pushed the door wide open and walked into a gloomy looking room with only a single candle light illuminating the place.

"Yes?"

The coldness in the voice sent chills down the man's spine.

"The Gammas sent news."

The man's eyes were sparkling with excitement, he didn't mind that the other person he was talking to did not react at all and only stayed as still as a statue.

"Speak Brett."

His voice was still as cold and void of any contradicting emotions as usual. The only emotion visible on his handsome face was boredom.

"Tonight will be a full moon Elric..I mean Alpha E." he paused as he watched Elric spin his office chair around, totally backing him like he was indirectly saying that he was not in anyway interested in the conversation at all.

Elric took in a deep breath and tapped slowly to a rhythm only he could hear in his head as he completely zoned Brett out.

"Mm, we always have a full moon, is that why you barged in here?"

Brett rolled his eyes angrily, did this man think he was jobless?

"No, you see it's a red full moon tonight."

The tapping stopped and a terrifying laugh echoed inside the dark room.

Elric spun the chair back around and faced Brett.

"Are you a hundred percent certain?"

Brett nodded but Elric did not appear satisfied.

"Don't you trust me Alpha E?"

A wicked smirk played on Elric's face.

"Trust?" He curled his tongue inside his mouth like he was tasting it for flavor.

Brett knew that his leader was not going to answer him, he could only sigh in defeat and quickly changed the conversation back to the matter at hand.

"I am a hundred percent certain Alpha E."

"Did you confirm from Blevine?"

"Blevine? oh the moon goddess? you know sometimes I forget you guys have such a brother and sister relationship."

Elric ignored him and mumbled a short spell under his breath.

A bright green and blue light mixed together filled the previously gloomy room.

The light disappeared and a beautiful lady appeared seated on Elric's bed.

She was breathtakingly beautiful. Her waist length, green and blue hair complimented her lashes and eyes that were also the same color. The lights illuminating from her body gave her such a goddess like glow.

She was holding a small mirror and a red lipstick that she seemed to be painting her lips with.

She squinted her eyes in confusion as she placed the mirror on the bed and took in her surroundings. She let out a loud sigh as her gaze landed on Elric.

"Really?"

"Mm, I need to confirm something from you." Elric replied, completely ignoring the annoyed look on her face.

"Are you in on this too?"

She threw the question at Brett who was leaning against the wall lazily watching them both.

"No, he doesn't believe a word I say so he summoned you."

"Elric! you know there's something called a cell phone?"

"Cell phone? you know I am not interested in humans technologies."

She let out a loud frustrated groan, she pinched in-between her brows and took in a deep breath.

"You make me regret telling you how to summon me, I taught you the spell only for emergencies."

"I remember correctly."

She stared at him in disbelief, how did he always manage to somehow maintain a clear face and such intimidating aura. She just couldn't wait till he finds his mate and he becomes a little bit more humane.

"I will not answer any of your questions until you promise to get a phone next week? I can't have you summoning me anyhow. What if I was taking my bath huh?"

"And if you were?"

Her mouth dropped, she looked deep into his eyes to find even a single trace of mischief but as usual they were just as cold and dead as always.

"Just promise."

Elric turned to look at Brett. "The thing she is talking about, the cell phone, get it for me next week." He returned his gaze back to her.

"Satisfied?"

"Yes." A huge smile appeared on her face, making her glow even brighter than before.

"How do I summon you through the cell phone?"

Blevine pressed her lips tight together as she tried to suppress the laugh threatening to burst out. She cleared her throat and finally spoke.

"You don't summon me, you call my number..my phone number."

Elric creased his brows in annoyance and confusion. What nonsense was she spewing?

"Number six?"

Oh the gods! Blevine let out a desperate sigh and tore her gaze away from him.

"I will set it up for you and explain it when Beta Brett gets the phone for you."

Elric nodded as he finally felt satisfied with her answer.

"So why was I summoned?"

"Tonight?"

Blevine nodded and held her breath as she felt the air getting thicker from the sudden yet expected dangerous aura oozing out of Elric.

"Blevine?"

His voice spoke of deep secrets and pain in them, It spoke of terrible havoc and chaos.

She walked past him towards the veranda and completely backed him like she was avoiding answering his question.

She heard him stand up from his chair and his footsteps moved close to her until he was only a few inches away from her.

"Elric." her voice was low and soothing.

"Mmm?"

She opened her mouth to say something but no words came out. Her hands gripped the railing tight like she was about to lose her balance, she closed her eyes and tilted her head up towards the shallow moonlight.

Elric grabbed her shoulder and spun her around to face him, he was getting impatient.

"Tell me!" he demanded.

"It will rain tonight," She opened her eyes and the colours in her eyes darkened. "For the first time in ten years, we will have a red full moon tonight."

He released her from his tight grip, his blue eyes turned a bright yellow and a devilish smile curved on his sexy lips. He ran his hand through his hair and he staggered backwards as a throaty chuckle escaped from his mouth.

"Brett!" his voice thundered through the whole room.

"Yes Alpha E?"

Brett strengthened his spine as he waited attentively for his leader's order.

"Gather the men, tonight we shall avenge my father."

They both walked out of the room leaving Blevine alone.

She stared at the moon and a bitter smile played on her lips.

"Damn fate!"

She closed her eyes and slowly faded away from the room until the only trace of her once being there was the little sparkles that remained from the glow that fell off her body.

Elric stood still in the hallway, staring at the huge portrait of his father, his mother and himself when he was still little hanging on the wall. He looked hard at the picture like he was trying to memorize every feature of his father's face.

His mind wandered back to the time he would sit on his father's lap and watch him give orders to his men and after he would get a lesson from his father about being a good leader.

"The secret to being a great leader is to never show your weakness to subjects," he would pause and look around like he was about to leak a very big secret. "The biggest secret is to always have a loud booming voice."

And he would laugh like he just cracked an award winning joke. Little Elric would stare at him in awe and could only wish to be a good, gentle and loving leader like his father.

His mother would walk in with a tray filled with chocolate cookies and three glasses of milk. She would give it to them and ruffle their hair while they eat, of course his father would always complain of her messing up his hair but he was sure his father did not mind at all because he loved his wife even more than his very own life.

"Hey, don't mess up men's hair!"

His father would say with his mouth filled up with delicious cookies.

"Men?"

"Yes, me and my son."

His mother would form an 'O' with her mouth like she understood and was sorry but then a glimmer of mischief would flash in her eyes and she would chase after his father with her hands stretched out towards his hair in an attempt to ruffle it the more.

"Alpha E!"

His head snapped towards the direction of the voice and his eyes locked on the approaching figures which turned out to be Brett and Bora.

Bora ran towards him and wrapped her tiny hands around him in a hug.

Which did not surprise Elric because he was very much used to it, she tend to love hugging him because she knew no one else could dare to that.

"Bora."

His voice came out low, she lifted her head and looked up at him.

"Yes Elric?"

"Are you alright? you look quite pale."

She loosened her grip on him and touched her cheek with her left hand.

"You haven't gone and I'm already sick of missing you too much."

His mouth curved in a small seductive smile, he patted her head gently like she was a child. Bora did not mind this as long as it was a treatment no one else but she could receive.

"I'll have my maids tend to you tonight, stay at my house, ok?"

She nodded obediently, he lifted her chin up and looked into her eyes.

"Tomorrow.. tomorrow will be a new day for me.. for us all."

She smiled and opened her mouth to talk but Brett quickly cut her off.

"Alpha E, the men are ready."

Brett finally added, she had completely forgotten that she walked in with him or that he was only standing a few meters away from them.

Her smile disappeared and she tightened her grip around his waist.

"Please come back safe Elric."

She murmured as she buried her face in his chest.

He placed a light kiss on the crown of her head, his hands slowly held her two arms that were wrapped around him and he pulled away from her hug.

"Bora," he tucked a hair behind her ears. "I..Elric Chaoxiang promise to return safely, maybe with few scratches here and there but I will return safe. Do not worry yourself."

He released her hands and tucked his hands inside his pocket.

"Byeee!!!"

He nodded and gave her a reassuring smile, he turned his gaze to Brett and said.

"Are the jets ready?"

"Jets, I thought we were traveling by car.." his voice trailed off as he realized just how stupid he sounded. Of course the vampires would get the wind of their attack if they went by road. Vampires are very smart and can sense danger from miles away and a large number of black cars traveling in the same direction towards the city they base in with humans would be very suspicious and they would immediately become alert.

Plus if they were to be coming back from the fight in cars and the human police stopped them and saw them covered in blood, they would have to dispose of the humans and Elric was not fond of getting entangled with humans.

He facepalmed himself inwardly, this was why Elric was the Alpha and not him. Elric was always a step ahead of everyone else, he always made sure he accessed and synchronized the situation from all the points of view and then find the perfect plan and solution.

He lowered his head and avoided Elric's piercing gaze that was fixed on him.

"I'll have the Jets ready."

'Damn you Elric and your intimidating presence!' He murmured to himself as he turned and hurried out of the hall with his hand to his chest in an attempt to calm his racing heart.

Elric returned his gaze back to Bora and worry graced his handsome face.

"You should be inside resting Bora."

She shook her head stubbornly and pouted her lips.

His palm landed gently on her forehead and the worry on his face deepened.

Her temperature had risen so fast, she felt warmer than before.

"What's the problem, don't you want to stay in your room?"

Elric had made sure that Bora has a room in his house, she was the only one that could comfortably come and go anytime she deems fit.

"I won't recover there."

"What do you mean?"

"It doesn't smell like you!"

She wrapped her hands around her chest and squeezed her face in a frown.

"Then stay in mine, it smells alot like me I guess."

Her face brightened up and she nodded energetically like a kid.

"Mm ok then, I'll tell Annie to check up on you. Now please go and lay down, I can't risk worrying about you tonight."

She turned and headed to his room.

Elric watched her retreating figure until he was sure she entered his room and closed the door quietly behind her.

He looked back at his family portrait and an unrecognizable emotion danced in his eyes and the yellow in his eyes deepened.

"I always wanted to be a good leader," The yellow in his eyes deepened. "I have followed in that footstep, but loving?" a breathy chuckle left his lips.

"Never!"

He finally moved his body from the position he was standing in and headed downstairs. The sound of his shoe echoed loudly as he majestically walked down the stairs.

The black cloth he was putting on gave him the advantage of blending in with the shadows, especially since his house lacked any bright light or any brightness at all.

"Young master?"

His now live-in housekeeper and former nanny called his attention. She was the only one that ever called him by that title, she had been his nanny since he was a toddler and had worked for his parents and now for him after his father's death. She was the only one close to being a mother to him.

"Yes Annie."

"Will miss Bora be staying tonight? shall I prepare her room?"

"Mm, she will be staying tonight but in my room."

Annie raised a brow in question.

"She is quite ill, do look after her while I am gone."

Annie nodded, she slowly found Elric's hand and she held unto it. She knew that there was no way she would be able to convince him to stay and forget about avenging his father. She had been there when he had turned from a sweet little child into a cold man with a heart of stone. Most people believed that he was too ruthless to even be considered for someone that has a heart of stone, they rumored that he was completely heartless but Annie knew him in and out and she knew that he just needed that one person that would change his whole life completely and melt his stone cold heart.

The determination in his eyes were blazing with so much fire and no amount of water could quench it at this point because the man standing before her was no longer the chubby unprepared teenager she used to look after but a man ready to burn the whole world down if it meant getting his revenge.

His eyes softened as he noticed the worry lines on her aging face.

"I will be back before the sun rises tomorrow."

He assured her and placed a kiss on her forehead.

He stared at her and more worry seemed to have appeared on her face.

He sighed, the women in his life were not making things easy for him.

"Be rest assured, I will return safe, not even a single scratch would be on my body."

Annie squeezed her hand in a fist and slammed it on his chest in playful anger and protest.

"I know you," She scoffed as she eyed him. "You would just stay under the moonlight until you heal properly before coming back home."

His beautiful mouth curved up in a genuine smile.

Curse this woman and knowing him so well!

"Fine," he raised his two hands up in surrender. "That was my initial plan but alright, do not worry, I will be very careful and bring this gorgeous body back to you without much scratches."

"Haha! your handsomeness is really getting into your head. That aside, have you informed your uncle?"

"Uncle Shane?"

"No, your uncle Rob!" Annie retorted.

"Annie!"

"Yes, your uncle Shane, for the love of all things beautiful, you have just one uncle that I only talk about."

"He traveled out of the country and will be returning next week, I will just inform him when he is back."

"Okay, I guess I have to let you go now."

She gave his hand a little squeeze before finally letting him go.

He walked out of the house and the cold breeze attacked his exposed skin. It pushed his hair and his long coat backwards, making him look like he just dropped from the sky.

By the time he got to the backyard, his men were already gathered there waiting for him.

He stood and allowed his eyes to sweep through the number of men there and his eyes fell on two skinny teenage boys.

He pointed at them and they walked towards him and he signalled to Brett to come too.

When the trio got to his side, he spoke.

"Your names?"

"I am Corey Anderson and this is my twin brother Tyler." The blond one answered while the other one with black hair just stared at Elric.

"Can he not speak for himself?"

"He doesn't talk?"

"It's not that he's dumb, he just haven't said a word since we were five, even I don't know why."

Elric stared at Tyler and he felt a sudden connection to the child. He turned his sharp gaze to Brett.

"Why are this kids here?"

"I..I didn't know they were kids, I thought they were just skinny men."

Brett admitted, he found it hard to breathe as he felt the sudden bad aura coming out of Elric.

"Sk-skinny men?"

"We are sorry, we did lie..I mean.. I lied so we could get in..I...we.. i just really wanted to impress you."

"By risking your young lives?"

Elric's face was clear but his voice carried a coldness that sent shivers to even his men.

Tyler grabbed the dagger his brother was holding and handed both it and his own to Brett and without sparing them a single glance he began walking away.

"You and your brother should wait for me inside, you both are not allowed to leave that house until I return!"

Corey nodded and after apologizing again, he ran after his brother.

There was just something about this boy Tyler!

Elric pushed aside the thought of the boy, tonight was definitely not the time to have irrelevant things on his mind.

He returned his gaze to his men and cleared his throat.

"Tonight, we attack!"

His men responded with a cheer, their whole veins were pumping with adrenaline and excitement.

"Aiiiiiiii." They all shouted in unison.

"Tonight, we will fight!"

"Aiiiiiii."

"Tonight, we shall emerge victorious!"

"Aiiiiiii."

"And tomorrow, a new dawn!"

"ALPHA E! ALPHA E! ALPHA E!"

He raised his right hand high and the chants and cheers immediately died down. He formed a strong fist and shouted.

"FIGHTING!"

They all rushed towards the Jet and got in one after the other. In a few minutes they were all in and the pilots prepared for take off.

Brett nudged Elric and he responded with a simple "Go."

"GO! GO! GO! GO! GOOOOOO!"

Brett shouted at the top of his voice and all the Jets slowly began taking off and soon they were now all on air.

Elric closed his eyes as the memories of him preparing and training hard for this day. Even on days he had been ill or days he had been severely injured.

The vampires had hurt him once and just that single blow from them had ended his life. He felt dead and soulless ever since his dad died and now he would return the favor and give them ten folds of the pain and anguish they made him go through.
