Lyric drew her net gloves and made sure they fit perfectly, she smirked in satisfaction, she put on her cat face mask and turned to the five huge figures in front of her

"You wanna fight with us, how pathetic" the first figure laughed loudly

"Yea, I'mma show you how pathetic you are after beating you all into a pathetic pulp" she smirked and charged towards them with her sword

The first one was easy cos she just slit off his throat, the second one came in full force, he made to match her but she ducked and slid away from him slicing his legs in the process, his head came off next

The third person got stabbed in the heart before he could even react, the fourth one head was also was also cut off

Lyric stared at the fifth and the last one, he looked stronger that the other four joined together, she exhaled deeply and stared intensely at him, she immediately sighted his weak point, his torso

She charged at him the blade at the back of her boots came out and gave him a flying kick across his face, giving him a cut from his ear to his cheek, he fell and she immediately stabbed his torso and raised gee knife cutting his neck

'VICTORY!!'

She stood on her chair and roared in victory

"That's it, breakfast is ready" Kehlani who had been standing behind Lyric said taking off the earphones from Lyric's ear

"Breakfast? Sis aren't you going to work?" Lyric asked coming down from the chair

"It's Sunday" Kehlani replied

"Oh it's Sunday already?, What are we having for breakfast?"

"Anything you make" Kehlani replied and Lyric frowned

"You know how much I hate cooking"

"Then no breakfast"

"You're going to work tomorrow?" Lyric asked as they entered the dining room

"Yes" Kehlani sighed

"Morning mum" Lyric greeted and turned back to Kehlani

"Won't that boss of yours give you a summer break?, You've work for straight two years straight without any vacation"

"I know right?" Kehlani sighed remembering how cruel her handsome boss was

"Lyric is it a new habit of yours to always play games when you wake up while I make breakfast for you?" Her mum Phoebe asked placing a plate in front of Lyric

"I'm sorry but it's been pretty hectic these days" Lyric said seriously shaking her head

"You talk as of you earn money from it" Kehlani clicked her tongue

"Off course, I earned ten thousand..... Gold coins this morning" she replied proudly

"Can you change that amount to actual money?" Kehlani asked again

"Off course not" Lyric replied smiling

Kehlani and Phoebe sighed hopelessly

"Eat quick, I wanna have a duet with you, I have my shift by 3pm" Phoebe said as she sat down to eat

"Really?"

"It's been pretty long since I last held a joystick, we'll play it in the sitting room after breakfast"

"You better not count me out and we're betting 100 dollars for a set" Kehlani said

"Deal" Phoebe accepted

"But I'm broke" Lyric whined

"I'll borrow you three hundred but you better pay back" Kehlani said and Lyric immediately nodded with a smile, she's was gonna win them off course

Kehlani was a piece of cake but her mum would be a tough nut to crack, her mum was also a gamer and she was pretty good at it

She plays with Lyric when she had time and Kehlani would also play on Sundays when she was home

Lyric found hee mom fun to be with unlike other moms, when Lyric was younger and got bullied in school, Phoebe would never console her rather she would tell her to pay them back in ten fold

That's why in school bullies never joke with her cos they never what was coming next

After breakfast they all gathered in the sitting room, Kehlani and Lyric were the first, they both placed their money on the table and started

Lyric won after few minutes

"A hundred for me" Lyric grinned

"Move weakling" Phoebe spat and got on the couch through the back

"I'm your mother and I gave birth to you, so I'mma show you how it's done" Phoebe smirked while lyric scoffed

But Phoebe wasn't joking when she said she would show Lyric how it's done, she won her within fewer minutes and also won Kehlani, earning two hundred from the both of them

"You owe me three hundred Lyric" Kehlani reminded and Lyric bit her lips, she placed her hundred dollars and Phoebe placed hers

"I'm winning this time"

"Wanna watch you do it" Phoebe grinned

After half an hour of battling, Lyric found her mom's weakness and used it to win her

She also won Kehlani thrice and Phoebe twice, she paid Kehlani her three hundred and kept the rest for herself

Penelope stared from Emily who was chewing her gum furiously while staring at her phone to Evan who was also focused on his phone

"I called you guys out to talk not stare at you while you're on your phones" Penelope glared at both of them and they immediately dropped their phones aside

"I called you both for something really important"

"What is it mum? I need to be somewhere right now" Emily rolled her eyes

"Lyric will be coming over" Penelope said

They both looked at her like she was speaking gibberish

"What?" Evan asked dropping his phone

"Which Lyric?" Emily asked

"Your cousin" Penelope replied

"What?, That witch?" Emily screamed angrily

"It's been 10 years and you're still calling her a witch?" Penelope asked

"I cannot forget when she stained my dress and made Alex stare at me in disgust, the way looked at me is still fresh in my memory and trust me it's not a good face" Emily said

"She tore my pants and made me make a fool of my self in front of my crush"

"That was 10 years ago, how can you both be holding grudges for 10 years now?"

"Mom she better not step her legs into this house" Emily warned and stormed out

"It's my house and I decide who comes in and goes out!!" Penelope yelled while Evan put on his earphones and focused back on his phone

Kehlani, Phoebe and Lyric went to a restaurant to eat since it was too late for Phoebe to make dinner and Kehlani was too tired to do so either, Lyric was hopeless

They went to the restaurant and made their order while heading to a table at the edge, since the glass was transparent it gave them the view of outside

Phoebe made to sit when she got pushed aside by a woman, she furrowed her brows turning to the woman who was glaring at her, the woman was not familiar so what did she do that for?

"What's your problem Mrs?" Kehlani asked and the woman scoffed

"I'm supposed to sit here" the woman replied

"You don't have your name on it" Lyric said

"I don't need my name on it for you to know it's my space"

"Let's just go somewhere else, I think some mad dogs were let out by mistake" Phoebe said and they turned to leave but they were blocked by a scary looking guy

"What did you just call my mom?" He asked and Phoebe scoffed

"I called her a mad dog, it seems she also has mad pup" Phoebe smirked, Kehlani and Lyric giggled from behind

"What?" Another huge guy yelled in anger

"She is blind and stupid to call mom a mad dog in front of us" a girl that looked Lyric's age said popping her gum

"Great a whole family of mad dogs and bitches" Lyric said

"You..." The scary guy trailed

"This is a reputable restaurant so let's carry out commotion outside please" Kehlani said with a smile and walked past them along with Lyric and Phoebe

Off course the woman and her kids followed behind them u til they got a quiet alley

"Look I and my daughters only wanted a harmless dinner, we have not intentions of beating you up" Phoebe said and the woman scoffed loudly

"Ha!, Beat us up that is so...." She was cut short by a slap, it was Phoebe

"But it seems you want violence, violence you will get" Phoebe said and attacked the woman

Lyric and Kehlani also attacked the kids......

"Cheers to handling those mother fuckers!" Phoebe said cheerfully raising up her glass of beer

"Cheers!" Kehlani and Lyric said clinking the glasses together before gulping down the content

The people on the restaurant stared at them weirdly, they obviously had gone out with that crazy woman and her kids only to come back without them

"But why am I drinking an orange juice while the both of you are having beers?" Lyric pouted

"I know that I'm reckless but I'm not irresponsible" Phoebe replied

"Wait till you're eighteen" Kehlani added smiling

"That's unfair" Lyric whined

Phoebe's phone rang it was Penelope, Phoebe excused herself to go answer the phone

"Penny" Phoebe called calmly

"Phoebe how are you?"

"I'm alright, you?"

"Same, have you told her yet?" Penelope asked

"No but I'm planning on doing so tonight so she can sleep over it" Phoebe replied

"Seriously? Tonight? I'm coming tomorrow remember"

"Tomorrow? She won't agree to go tomorrow, come tomorrow and leave with her the day after"

"But..."

"Sacrifice a day Penelope, I'll talk to her tonight, goodnight" Phoebe said and hung up the call, she sighed before going back in

"Are you full yet Lyric, do you want more?" Phoebe asked immediately she went in

"Yea why are you being nice?" Lyric asked suspiciously

"Can't I be nice to my daughter"

"I know your limit mom" Lyric said

"Eat up" Phoebe urged and Lyric nodded still staring at her..

They got back home after dinner and Lyric went to the kitchen to get a bottle of water while Kehlani and Phoebe stayed back

"That was aunt penny wasn't it?" Kehlani asked

"Yea" Phoebe nodded she didn't need to ask how she knew

"When are you planning on telling her mom?"

"Tonight, Penny is coming tomorrow"

"And you expect Lyric to go tomorrow?" Kehlani asked

"No, she'll leave the day after" Phoebe replied

Kehlani nodded and kissed her mom goodnight before going upstairs and Lyric came in at that timing

"Where's Kelly?" Lyric asked, she calls Kehlani Kelly sometimes

"Gone to bed" Phoebe replied sitting on the couch

"Goodnight then" Lyric said and made to go upstairs but Phoebe stopped her

"I have something to tell you"

"You have terrible news right?" Lyric squinted her eyes suspiciously

"No just you going over to San Diego and stay with your aunt penny" Phoebe replied, Lyric stared blankly at her

"What?"

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you before now, she informed me last week but I couldn't tell you and she's coming over tomorrow"

"Whaatt?!" Lyric almost yelled

"But you're not going tomorrow, you'll be going the day after tomorrow"

"Mooooomm!!!"

"I'm sorry baby" Phoebe pouted

"You expect me to move from Massachusetts to San Diego?" Lyric asked and scoffed unbelievably

"You'll just complete your highschool there and maybe stay there for extra two years" Phoebe added

"That's impossible, it's most definitely not working" Lyric said and stormed upstairs

She banged her door loudly and huffed in anger, she took her phone and laid on the bed playing her game and defeating her opponents angrily until she finally fell asleep

Lyric yawned and stretched and yawned and stretched again, she tossed from this end of the bed to the other before finally sitting up, she rubbed her eyes and stared around lazily

Obviously she had no intentions of waking up, she yawned again and scratched her butt while going out of the room downstairs with messy hair, the side of her lips was stained with drool

She stopped midway down the stairs when she sighted aunt Penelope talking with her mom

"Shit!" She cursed silently and turned to go back up but it was too late because...

"Lyric baby?" Penny called cheerfully, Lyric cursed again and turned back to them with a fake smile

"Aunt penny" she replied going downstairs to them while glaring at her mom

"How are you and what is this?" Penny asked referring to the drool on Lyric's lip

"Oh I just... Sorry" Lyric giggled awkwardly

"And you're breath stinks, gosh!" Penny groaned covering her nose while Phoebe chuckled silently, they both know how blunt Penny can be

"I just woke up what do you expect?" Lyric asked back shamelessly

"And why are you downstairs when you just woke up?"

"Going to eat" Lyric replied

"Why would you eat when you haven't brushed your teeth?"

"Because I'm hungry"

"You're not eating anything until you've brushed your teeth" Penny said sternly and Lyric sighed hopelessly

That was one of the drastic difference between Phoebe and Penny, while Phoebe didn't care if you've rinsed your mouth or not, Penny is overly stern with it

For example, if you had class by nine thirty AM and tell Phoebe to wake you up by eight, she'll come knocking at your door by nine twenty

While Penny would burst in by seven am telling you it's ten AM already

Lyric murmured loudly and groaned before going back upstairs, she came back looking fresh and headed straight for the dinning

"We need to talk" Penny said

"That can wait after breakfast right?, Thank you" Lyric said and digged in her food

"Let her eat first" Phoebe whispered and Penny nodded

After breakfast they all sat in the sitting room with Lyric opposite Phoebe and Penny

"Before you say or explain anything, can I bring my gaming stuffs along?" Lyric asked

"We'll get you a new one" Penny replied

"Great and I can have a while new huge room for myself right?"

"Sure I respect privacy a lot"

"And your kids, do they still hate me?" Lyric asked again not that she cared

"No" Penny replied smiling awkwardly

"You're lying"

"Huh?!"

"Your eyes are twitching aunt"

"Well I don't really care so... I'm just gonna go take a nap" Lyric said and left them in the sitting room

Later at night when Kehlani came home, they all had dinner together and Kehlani helped Lyric arrange her stuffs

"I'm gonna miss you" Kehlani said

"Don't miss me too much, I'm coming back home for Thanksgiving during Christmas"

"I'll keep in touch"

"Alright, goodnight" Lyric said and Kehlani kissed her cheeks before going out of the room

They were currently at the airport, Lyric was ready to go already

"Be a good girl and make sure to beat anyone who tries shit with you" Phoebe said

"Sure mom, trust me" Lyric winked, they hugged for the umpteenth time and Penny sighed

"That's enough, we don't want to miss the flight" Penny said and they finally separated

Lyric waves Phoebe goodbye as they left, aunt penny and lyric got into the first class while waiting for the plane to take off

And just like that Lyric was on a 5hr flight to San Diego, she couldn't believe it.

As soon as they landed in San Diego, Lyric followed her aunt who stopped in front of a man standing beside a car

"Take her home" Penny said to the man

"Yes ma'am" the man replied

"Aunt, where are you going?" Lyric asked when she noticed Penny wasn't entering the car

"I have work to do at the office, I'll see you when I'm back" Penny replied waving at her as she got into another car

"This way ma'am" the man said opening the backdoor for her but she shook her head

"Let me stay at the front thank you" Lyric said and got into the front seat, the driver closed the back door before joining her at the front

"Can you play a song please, it's too quiet"

The driver obeyed playing his favorite song, 'LILY' by Alan Walker ft Emilie Hollow, Lyric's eyes widened

"You love this song?" She asked and the driver nodded

"It's my favorite, were you expecting a song from the 1800's?" He asked amused

"Honestly yes, but Lily is also my favorite song"

"It holds different meanings that is related to our lives both literally, religiously, politically and so on" he explained and she nodded

"How though?" She asked and he explained further both religiously, literally, psychologically and sexually

"Whoa, my love for this song just grew from five hundred percent to ten thousand along with respect, Alan Walker really is the best"

"I also thought teens never listen to such songs"

"We do a lot but most of us don't know it's holds this much meaning, I mean we do love kpop too, I love LE SSERAFIM, IVE, Black Pink, twice, they're too many but Lily remains my favorite"

The driver glanced at her shortly and smiled, she had a really likeable personality

"What's your name sir?" She asked

"It's Walter"

"Mr Walter, you're always available right?"

"In the evenings why?"

"Because I have a feeling I'll be coming to you often if that's okay"

They got to aunt Penny's mansion, Lyric thanked Walter who helped her with her bags to the door, she carried it inside. Though her house back at Massachusetts was big aunt Penny's was bigger and it looked more like a hotel lounge than a home

A lady came and assisted her with her bags, Lyric stopped when she spotted two familiar figures on the couch keenly on their phones

Emily was the first to notice her presence, she was surprised at first but immediately covered it up with a glare

"She's here" she muttered and Evan looked up also

"Oh" he said with raised brows

This was Lyric, f*ck she grew up so hot

"It seems you're happy that you're finally here" Emily said with a mocking smile

Lyric just looked at both of them with a bored gaze, she rolled her eyes, shook her head before walking past them, following the lady that led her upstairs

"Did she just roll her eyes at me?" Emily scoffed angrily

"Whoa so hot" Evan said in a trance

"What?, Did you just call your cousin hot?" Emily yelled

"She's hot, what's wrong in saying the truth?"

"You're not gonna do what I'm thinking you're gonna do right?"

"I have no idea what you're talking about" Evan said putting on his earphones and ignoring her totally

She also had to admit Lyric had grown hotter, sexier and more beautiful over the years, her legs were long and slender and her waist looked so small along with a moderate hip

She could make any guy fall for her without even trying, Emily clenched her fist, the more reason to hate her...

Lyric gasped as she entered her new room, it was just like the one back at home, the lights were dim just the way she likes it, she even got her gaming position along with the equipments ready for her already

Her bed was the softest she had ever felt, it made her sleepy already

"You can freshen up and have a change of clothes, lunch will be ready soon" the lady said

"I'll be there ASAP" Lyric replied and the lady left

Lyric freshened up and changed into something more comfortable, jean shorts that made her flawless long legs come to view, a crop top that showed off her tiny waist along with the belly stud she had on and a fluffy bunny slippers before heading downstairs

Emily and Evan was seated already, she sat comfortably opposite them, Emily cast her a hating glare

"You seriously wore this? Who you trying to seduce, my brother?" Emily asked

"This ugly duckling, com'n I know I might not have a nice taste in boys but this guy is nothing close to what my subconscious would call handsome" Lyric smirked focusing on her food

"What?!" Evan yelled

"Hey you bitch....." Evan yelled but Lyric just plugged in her earphones too ignoring them completely

They could only huff in anger...

Melanie clutched tighter on the bag she was holding and rushed upstairs, she was looking down so no one would see her teary face but the maids already knew what had happened

She had been bullied....again

"It's summer and they wouldn't let the poor girl rest?"

"It's her fault for not fighting back"

The maids whispered among themselves but Melanie could hear them, her brown eyes stung in tears as she increased her pace

But she stopped when she heard her mother's voice behind her

"Melanie?"

"Mom" Melanie broke down immediately, her mom Leighton sighed

"What happened now?, I told you to always walk around with the guards but you won't listen"

"I'm tired, I don't know why I'm being treated like this" Melanie sniffed

"It's because you won't fight back, you're stronger than them and you know it"

"I'm sorry" Melanie sniffed

"It's alright, go have a change of clothes and come down for dinner" Leighton said patting Melanie's hair, the latter sniffed and nodded

Melanie McKenna, brown skinned, 17 years of age, tall and skinny, from a really wealthy home but she often gets bullied, introverted and a talkative only when she's comfortable

She had gone out to get some books she would read when she got corned into a dark alley by some bullies from her school, they were the second well known female bullies, Roxy, Bella and Nessa

They had hit her, tore her books and trashed the snacks she had gotten on her way back to the house

Her mom always tell her to allow the guards take her to wherever she wants but Melanie refuses and sneaks out always..

But soon Melanie forgot what had happened few hours ago because she was dancing while singing along with a song while in the shower.....
