Mated to The Alpha King

ASTORIA EILISH POV

"I will never let you do this to me." I frowned as I stood my ground.

He chuckled loudly and mockingly. "And what will you do? You are just a useless omega with no power against an alpha like me."

"You are not an alpha, you stole my mother's pack and everything she had to call her own, including her life--"

"Your mother died on the battlefield because she was a weak alpha and the elders decided to choose me, since my strength surpassed hers in a million folds to lead the pack to victory which I did." He spat out.

"You liar! How could you do something like that to the woman you married? You are a monster!" I felt trickles of tears flow down my cheek.

"I am your father and you will do as I say!" He yelled out.

"You are not my father, my father died many years ago and I warned my mother about you but she didn't listen, she just had to marry a heartless wolf like you."

"Why are you so ungrateful?" He frowned.

"What?" I scrunch my face.

"You are a useless omega, the other wolves your age have found their mates long ago but here you are, wriggling like a worm under your father's roof at the age of nineteen, you should be ashamed to even go out. But a thoughtful father like me, I worked hard to get the alpha king to marry you and yet you reject it?"

"You are selling me off as a breeder!"

"You have no choice but to do as I say because I am your only guardian and I have every right over you. The alpha king has accepted to take you even though you are worthless to him, you leave today." He ordered and walked away.

All I ever wanted was to find my mate and settle with him just like my mother did. She was a very bright and beautiful alpha who always put her family first.

We were so happy until we lost my father to an illness with no cure. She found love in a mysterious werewolf which I warned my mother about but she was blinded by love.

After war broke out between the dark paw clan and mine, she decided to lead the army of strong wolves but never came back. My step father deranked me to omega after he became alpha and had stolen everything my mother left me.

I had no power against him and now, he had sold me off to the most cruel Alpha King to ever exist...

"All rise! Here comes alpha king Calix Leighton!" The King's guard announced.

We all rose to our feet, my step father, I and a few others from our pack, all present to witness the marriage between the king and I.

Alpha Calix needed a son and I would be free again once I bore him one, hopefully the moon goddess would be on my side and make my first child a male child.

He walked in with his head held high, pride exuding all over him. We all bowed our heads to avert eye contact with him, no one dared to look at him while he was passing by.

"You may sit." The King's guard said. "The alpha king has summoned you all on behalf of his new bride, Astoria Eilish who will live in the castle walls until she bears a son."

"Yes, she understands, when will I get my pay?" My step father selfishly asked.

Alpha Calix picked up a small sack which contained golden coins and threw it at my step father. "You are not allowed to ever return here for her unless I send her home." He said, his tone so cold and commanding.

"Yes my King, I have no problem with that. I brought along the elders from my pack to witness this trade so it doesn't arise as an issue in the nearest future."

"An issue? With me? Do you know what happens to people who have issues with me? They never live to tell the story of how we made up. Do you still think you can have an issue with me?" Alpha Calix questioned.

"Never your Majesty!" My step father cowardly touched the ground with his head.

"See them out." Alpha Calix said to his King's guard. "And show this ragged girl to her room."

I cursed at him as he walked past me, why couldn't he just find his mate and make her give him a son? With the looks of a god and the attitude of a beast, no woman would ever want to stay by his side.

The sound of an arrow as it whoosh past his ear caused him to freeze. Did I just witness right? Blood trickled down his neck from the cut the arrow had inflicted on his ear.

"The alpha king is under attack! Protect him with your life!" The King's guard ordered the knights that stood by in the room.

In the blink of an eye, a number of twenty men in armor surrounded him to keep him safe, placing their life on the line for him.

"Keep the king safe, I will find this assassinator." The King's guard said. Unsheathing his silver blade, he ran outside the room and accompanying him were a pack of werewolves.

Arrows were flying in from every corner of the room but not even a single man was seen, was this some sort of sorcery? I froze, my brain had stopped working from the anxiety that coursed through me and the next thing I knew, a pain on my left arm caused me to wince. I had been slit by an arrow and fresh blood sipped out.

I felt so scared and abandoned, all they cared about was the alpha king and keeping him safe while they cared less if I died on the spot.

Frozen in fear, an arrow raced for me and all I could do was stare at it as tears streamed down my face. At the dire moment, a hand pulled me out of danger's sight and I met with a set of golden yellow eyes staring into mine.

I felt and heard my heart pounding like it was about to explode, the fear that pricked my skin suddenly washed away and all I could feel was a great unexplainable sensation, a connection that electrified me, was the alpha king... My mate?

ASTORIA EILISH POV

A lot of wolves had said the greatest feeling was the connection that sparked when you finally met with your mate, I couldn't argue less. The fantasizing scent that filled my nostrils, it wasn't that of an expensive perfume but more like what heaven would smell like.

At his touch, I felt sparks, in his eyes, I saw the electricity, in my heart, I felt the bond of a mate, my mate.

The moon goddess had blessed me in disguise, having my father sell me off to my mate, I thank her and I thank him too for playing his part.

"Get her out of here!" He ordered one of the armored men.

"Come with me!" The man said to me, already pulling my wrist.

"Wait! Hold on! What about the alpha king?" I felt worry wash over me.

"Just do as I tell you!" He forcefully pulled me out of the room.

The last thing I saw was his army surrounding him to keep him safe from the flying arrows while I was being dragged to safety...

The bed chamber was quite large and exquisite, everything was crafted out of fine gold and woods. The bed itself was like a soft embrace that refused to let go until your worries had drifted away and so had you.

As comforting as it was, all I could worry about was alpha Calix, whether he was safe or not. Who had ambushed the castle to take his life and why? Maybe they were probably a gang of thieves who were after the crown as it would be worth a whopping amount of gold.

I waited, patiently and impatiently to see him, the guards wouldn't let me out of the chamber. Worrisome seconds turned to minutes, minutes to hours and hours to a day and half.

It was a cold morning and my body shivered under the blankets, the church bells rang and it spread with the wind. The door to my chamber pushed open, forcing me to sit up with the last strength in me.

A few Royal maids walked in with soaps and sponges and several beautiful dresses. "Good morning lady Astoria, the alpha king wishes you bathe before joining him for breakfast this morning." The lady that led them said to me.

A weak smile crept on my face, he was alive. I got up from my bed with their assistance and allowed them to bathe and dress me.

Gazing upon myself in the circular mirror, I looked like a princess and smelt like one, except I was a princess in distress who needed food's saving.

Starved and tired, I ate like a vicious animal hoping my strength would return.

"Why did you create a fuss while you were locked up?"

The sound of his voice forced me to come to a halt. I raised my head to meet with his gaze and dropped my spoon. "I was worried about you, isn't that a reason worth making a fuss over?"

"Worried about me?" He lifted a questioning brow. His action was accompanied by a chuckle. "Why would you worry about me?"

"What do you mean? Why would I not?"

"I have no time to waste discussing with the likes of you, I wish not to have you in my castle for too long so eat up, I will come to your chamber tonight." His eyes were so dark and empty, just like the tone of his voice.

He got up and left without saying another word. What was that all about? Why wasn't he saying anything about us being mates? Was he pretending just because I was below him? I must get to the root of it.

Spending the rest of the day locked up in my chamber, night came rather quickly and just as he had said earlier, he walked into my chamber and locked the door behind him.

I guessed he was finally ready to talk about it. He began undressing, "what are you doing?" I asked confusedly.

"I have come to mate with you so you can bear me a son, what do you think?"

"I thought... Do you really not know?"

"I have no time for crazy talk." He sighed and approached me.

Before I could even apprehend the situation, he was already in front of me, undressing me as well. I felt heat pulse through me as he stood in my personal space.

I froze, standing still than a statue. I wanted to stop him and push him away but I felt his charms bind me. He stared into my eyes, flames burning in his, then leaned forward and pressed his lips against mine.

I closed my eyes and gave in to him. As my dress fell to the floor, he picked me up and gently laid me on the bed, taking off his robes, he mounted me and resumed kissing me.

As his hands slowly and manipulatively caressed my skin, cupping my breast and teasing my nipples, I fought the urge to moan. He kissed me all the way down then back up again, as he teased me, he didn't take his eyes off me, watching me as I fought back my moans.

The next thing I knew, I felt his hardness teasing my middle then sliding in. At every thrust, he changed my breathing method, making it impossible to hold back my moans. He moved slowly and sensually, forcing me to squeeze the blanket in my palms. His soft lips placed kisses all over me before encircling my already hard nipples.

It was like heaven on earth. I wrapped my arms around him as he went deeper and deeper, almost driving me out of my mind, damn he was so good! I felt the sticky wetness sip inside me as he ejaculated.

He was satisfied and pulled out. He didn't even say a word and just got up and began dressing.

"Alpha Calix." I called him as I sat up in bed, covering my nakedness with my blanket.

"What?"

"Why are you pretending?" I frowned.

"Pretending?" He looked confusedly at me.

"You just walked into my chamber and had sexual intercourse with me but won't talk about the bond."

"What bond?" He asked as he tied the rope of his robe around his waist.

"Stop pretending!"

"What nonsense are you spurring?" He snapped.

"You are my mate!" I exclaimed.

He froze, staring at me like he was confused and surprised. "What?"

"You don't know?"

He stared at me almost like a memory hinted in his mind, did he really not know? Was the curse... True?

ASTORIA EILISH POV

Rumor as we all knew spread like wildfire, if not faster. It was the talk of the town for a very long period of time that the Alpha king was cursed by a witch who hated him for looking down on her, her curse was he would never find his mate and even if he did, he would never feel the bond.

Alpha Calix stared at me knowing fully that there was no way I wouldn't be aware of this rumor, but was it truly not a rumor?

"Is the curse..."

He suddenly bursted into laughter which put me in a confused position. "Curse? Do you think I was cursed?" He cackled loudly. "I don't blame you, with the brain of an omega, you would only believe in stupid stories."

"This has nothing to do with my rank, I can help you."

"No, this has everything to do with your rank, you can help me? Who the bloody hell do you think you are? Mated to me?" He said with a chuckle. "Attraction can do stupid things to the mind."

"This is not attraction, I know what I felt." I climbed down from the bed with the blanket around me.

"No, the moon goddess could never make an omega a mate to a powerful alpha king, you are nothing but a breeder whom I can never love nor spend the rest of my life with, bare me son and get lost... That's why you're here." He frowned. "Her? My mate?" He chuckled as he walked out of my chamber.

As much as he tried to hurt me with his words, I only felt hurt for him and swore to make him feel the bond no matter what...

For the past few days, we had had sexual intercourse almost every night and he'd send a physician to check me once in two weeks.

As always, he had shunned me whenever I tried to talk about our bond and locked me out of his mind but I would never give up on him.

"My lady," the female physician smiled at me. "Congratulations." She expressed with a chuckle. "You are with a baby."

I felt engulfed by joy as I heard her words. "I am?" I asked just to be sure, tears already welling up in my eyes.

She nodded and I bursted into tears of joy, oh how happy alpha Calix would be to hear the news.

"There is no telling what the sex of the child will be until after delivery but I will come around as the baby grows to make sure he or she is healthy." She assured.

"Thank you!" I beamed at her. "Can you not tell him about this? I wish to do so myself."

"Of course my Lady." She smiled. "Take this herb, it will make you very weak but it is only because you need to rest and make sure you eat before it gets dark or your system will be too weak." She handed me a bowl of green liquid.

I excitedly gulped it down, the bitter taste lingering in my mouth.

Immediately she left, I rushed out to find Alpha Calix and he was in his chamber, the door was slightly opened. As I got to the entrance with a big smile on my face, I froze as I heard his voice.

"That girl, Astoria or whatever she is called, has quite some nerves to think I could ever fall for her, she is a fool actually, with no one to love her."

"But my king, don't you love her?" His King's guard questioned.

"Me?" He chuckled. "She is nothing but a tool to me, I have made it clear to her that once she bears me a son, I will send her back to her home. All I need is an heir from her, after all my efforts, stooping so low to sleep with the likes of her, she still doesn't get pregnant."

"I guess we have to be patient, your wolf already told you to be."

"I can't stand her anymore, she is just a useless omega with no hope in life so she believes that lying to me to be her mate would make me want to keep her. What a dumb creature she is."

I felt anger course through my veins as he kept talking about how useless I was to him and how he would discard me once I bore him a son. I was such a fool to believe he would ever love me. No wonder he got cursed.

I laid my hand on my unborn child, what would be the fate of this child if he were to grow up with a man like that? I wasn't going to let that happen.

The pain I felt was like I was being pricked all over and it hurt like crazy, why did his words have so much effect on me? Was it because I at least hoped he would love me?

"Come on now, let's get going."

As I heard his words, I instantly hid myself and he walked away, not even a hint of a single guilt in his eyes after everything he said about me. He was truly a monster.

As the evening sun was setting, I decided to change the fate of my unborn child and I by abandoning the castle and Alpha Calix, he wouldn't care less since he didn't know I was with his child.

The guards would leave their station to have a meal, the only one for the day so none of them would miss it, it was my golden opportunity and I didn't waste it.

Slipping through the gates unseen, I began running, I had told myself, I would start a new life. I had stolen quite an amount of golden coins from the alpha king but he wouldn't even notice it.

I raced for the woods, sweat trickling down my neck as my breath fell short. I didn't know if I was being chased so I kept looking back continuously just to be sure. Darting deeper into the dark woods, the clouds had been taken over by the dark night sky and my vision was shortened.

I was starting to get dizzy, I didn't eat, I couldn't, the herb was starting to take effect. I fell to my knees, weak, unable to keep going.

The loud neighing of a horse forced me to raise my head, I felt my heart seize as a mighty horse raised for me and I couldn't move. That was the last thing I saw before my vision faded completely and I fell unconscious.
