Chapter 1 SOLD OFF

RUBY POV

"What is wrong with you?" A low husky voice asked behind me, jerking me out of my thoughts.

I looked up from my feet and stared into a face which carried the greenest pair of eyes I had ever seen. The man before me had a stern frown on his face. If I didn't know him, I would be foolish to assume that he was asking that question because he cared enough to know what was wrong with me.

Hell, no!

My tongue felt heavy, and I was unable to make any word.

"Are you dumb?" He growled, closing up the space between us.

He didn't wait for a response, rather, in an instant, the man before me swung his arm in the air, and his large palm landed on my face with a force.

"Kpash!"

It felt hard, causing me to stagger backwards, until I felt my back against the wall behind me.

I blinked back my tears, as I met his green eyes again. This time, they were much darker, and a muscle in his jaw twitched.

"It's not too late to return you to your stepmother, you know," He said, advancing towards me.

I shook my head in disapproval, finally finding my voice, "No, please. Don't take me back there, I don't want my younger sister to replace me." I pleaded as I clasped my hands in front of me.

He twisted his full lips in a snarl, "Then, why don't you act like you are happy being a stock-my stock! I paid for you. So, you're mine."

I nodded, as tears streamed down my face.

"Yes, Sir." I muttered, "I'm yours."

"Good." He hissed, "If I sense any more attitude from you, I will not hesitate to drive all the damn way back to your wretched home and buy your sister too."

His threat hung low in the air as he started walking back to the car. I followed him closely and got into the back seat of the car.

His last words filled my head. The more I thought of it, the more terrified I became. I would rather die a thousand times than witness my only sister become a stock.

Stocks were worse than slaves, only loyal to the person who bought them. Stocks were known to have no life of their own, no identity bedsides existing to do the will of others.

It was a life I didn't even wish on my worst enemy.

Sadly, it was a life I had to get used to. The man who bought me from my stepmother had turned up his nose in disgust at the sight of me earlier.

"I need a prettier girl!" He had said to my stepmother, "Is this all you've got?"

I had been smart enough to send my sister away into the woods, so I could take her place instead.

My plan worked out, just the way I had expected it, but the future ahead of me was not something I was looking forward to.

Barely a few days after being sold to Kor, the stock trader, he told me about his plan to have me auctioned off to the Cruel Alpha Twins of the infamous Ashton Pack as their breeder.

As their breeder, I would be their private sex toy; their plaything.

They could ravage my body for their pleasure, as much as they desired. The only thing I owed them for keeping me alive would be healthy pups; heirs to the Alpha throne that I would never be able to claim as my children.

As Kor drove the small truck down the rocky part, my heart felt heavy within me. I was no longer able to cry, and my eyes stung.

A sense of panic and uncertainty settled over me, not because I was afraid of being the breeder for the twin Alphas, but because I was so damn sure that I wouldn't even be picked.

Hundreds of stocks, just like me, were travelling from almost all packs to the Ashton Pack, where the Alpha twins resided.

I was so sure that there would be worthy women, even more beautiful and endowed than I was who would catch the attention of the Alphas.

Of course, there would be other Alphas, but every sensible stock would rather be picked by the twin Alphas of Ashton Pack, than anyone else.

"Powder your face, Ruby," Kor said breaking the silence in the car. He was driving, with his attention on the wheels before him.

I nodded as I frantically began to search my small purse for the smooth, white powder that Kor had gotten for me on our way here.

I had on a skimpy red gown which showed off my long legs. As a result of how my boobs were way too big for the dress I had on, they spilt out from the undersized bra I had on.

I was still applying the powder on my face when Kor shot me a glance over his shoulder, "That's better." He said, "What's the rule, again?"

I sat upright in the car, so straight that my shoulders almost hurt from being stiff.

"Wear a smile at all times," I mumbled.

"And, if you are asked?" He said, without looking at me.

"I'll tell anyone who cares to know that I am of the Ashton Pack," I said, as the words mechanically rolled off my tongue.

He nodded satisfied, "We have finally arrived."

My eyes almost popped open as the large, magnificent castle of the Ashton Alphas came into view. If I wasn't going in there to be sold as a breeder, I would have been in awe.

An unexpected sharp pain began to stomach at the back of my head, causing me to clutch at it.

Kor found a decent spot to pack the car, then he flung a piece of clothing at me, "Put that on!"

He got out of the car, while I remained in the back seat, bent over as I silently begged the moon goddess to take away the pain which was now coursing through me.

"Ruby!" Kor's commanding voice barked from outside the car.

I shuddered and struggled to put the small hood over my head. I looked outside the car window and saw other young women with similar hoods on.

I swallowed hard and adjusted it so that it could conceal my face.

The ache in my body had now spread to the back of my head and was pounding harder than ever.

I weakly pushed myself out of the car.

As soon as my feet hit the ground, my body started to shake uncontrollably, and I held on to the car door for support.

My vision blurred, and I felt my strength leaving me.

Before I could make sense of anything, my body hit the floor with a heavy thud. I slipped into darkness.

~~~
When my eyes opened a few minutes later, Kor stood over me. There was a deep frown on his face.
"You wretched girl!" He hissed, "Is this your plan of sabotaging the only way I can milk these Alphas for their money?"
"I'm so...sorry-" I started to say, but I was cut shut as his clenched fists collided against my face.
"Keep that apology to yourself!"
I tasted something on my lips.
Sticky, thick and metallic.
Blood.
I touched my lips, the exact spot he had just punched, and when I held up my hands in front of me, I saw that I was bleeding.
"Get up right now before I-" Kor said, just before he was interrupted.
"Don't you dare touch her again!" Someone growled behind Kor. His voice was low, heavy and filled with so much venom. I couldn't see who it was as I was still on the dusty floor, and Kor covered my view.
Kor swung his head around and sprang to his feet. "Alpha Derek!" Kor said with a shaky voice, "It's a pleasure to meet you...again!"
Now that Kor was out of my way, I was looking at the man in front of him.
Alpha Derek?
Like, one of the dreaded Alpha twins? I wondered in silence.
His icy-blue eyes settled on me, narrowing at the sides, "The next time you lay a finger on her, I'll let you feel the wrath of my sword." He hissed, not taking his eyes off me.
Chapter 3 WANTED BY TWO ALPHA's
RUBY POV
"I want her, now!" Alpha Derek's voice grew louder as he approached me. He shot a sharp glare at me before turning to face his brother.
"You already have five beautiful stocks, Dylan." He said.
Dylan shook his head, edging close to him. His face was red, and a muscle in his jaw twitched as he frowned at his twin.
"Those stocks do not matter anymore, because I want her!" Alpha Dylan growled, pointing a finger at me.
My mind reeled. I was so damn sure that my mind was just making this up. How could two powerful Alphas fight over me? A mere omega?
Everything was happening so fast; way too fast for me to understand.
I was sure that Alpha Derek never liked me, because of our encounter outside the hall, why then, was he suddenly interested in me?
It didn't make any sense to me at all. I stood, rooted to the spot, as I watched the scene unfold before me.
Their voices grew louder in a heated argument.
Alpha Derek looked over his brother's shoulder at me. His lips were twisted with disgust as he ran his eyes over me. I shivered under his stare, shuffling my feet with discomfort.
"You must be kidding me, Brother." Alpha Derek said, "She's a mere Stock, and you won't let her go?"
"I placed a bid on her first! She's mine." Alpha Dylan hissed, slightly shoving his brother's arm. Then, he turned to Kor, "I shall give you 7000 Wolverine coins. Get her ready to leave this place with me!"
"Not on my watch!" Derek bellowed, taking everyone by surprise, "I hereby let go of every stock in my possession, and I'm offering a double of what Dylan wants to pay. 14,000 wolverine coins!"
Kor squealed with joy beside me and started to clap his hands. He was glad at the shocking turn of events, except me.
This felt strange; too strange to believe that two powerful Alphas would ever bet this many coins on me. Something was wrong.
My palms felt sweaty as my gaze darted from one Alpha to the other.
They were both fuming in each other's faces. It seemed as though none of them was ready to back down just yet. "Enough!" A shrill voice rang out through the silence of the large hall. "I refuse to sit and watch you two fight over a mere stock. This is disgusting."
Alpha Derek swung around to face the person who was talking. "Elder Earl, you saw that I placed the larger bet." He said.
"I picked her first!" Alpha Dylan cut in.
"I said, Enough." The older man said, walking into the scene. He was aged and had a white coat of hair over his head. His beards were white as well.
Lines of wrinkles popped along his forehead as he spoke.
Tension hung low in the hair. My heart thudded underneath my chest, and I was slightly worried that someone might hear it.
"Are you two ready to let go of every stock in your possession?" The older man, Elder Earl asked.
"Yes, Elder!" The two Alphas responded in unison.
I froze.
This was unheard of. Why would they let go of other fitting women, just because of me? I kept my eyes averted, forcing myself to not look at the other stocks that now had to walk back to their owners again.
The Alphas have their eyes pinned on each other, almost as if they were ready to break into a fight.
I watched without a word, my stomach churning.
"You two will have to take this stock back to your chambers." The Elder ordered. "It is clear that neither of you is yet to find a fated mate, so the Alpha who makes her pregnant first, will be given exclusive rights to the Alpha throne!"
Another murmur of chorus swept through the crowd, and almost everyone began to talk at the same time.
I choked on my breath, silently asking the moon goddess to strike me dead on the spot. I had no idea how I was going to handle being a breeder for two men who fiercely wanted me.
The air thickened with noise from the crowd until the elder raised his right hand above his head and thundered, "Enough!"
Silence fell in the hall once again. Kor now had his hand clutched over my wrist, holding me firmly.
" Alphas of the Ashton Pack, the struggle of who will get to rule this great kingdom has officially commenced." He said in a loud voice. "I repeat, the first Alpha who bears a child through this stock, will be crowned exclusively as the sole Alpha of the Ashton Pack."
That was it.
That was how my destiny did a 360 turn, and the moon goddess placed me in the centre of attention between the twin Alphas of the Ashton Pack.
The next hours that went by were not easy ones to handle. I was taken into the Royal chambers and shown my room. It was a narrow room with an open window and a small mat on the floor. It seemed like a place, fit for a servant to occupy.
I let out a long sigh. Wasn't a servant better than me at this point? I lowered myself to the floor and drew my knees up to my chest. Then, I rested my head on my knees, sitting in a curled-up position.
I still had the status of a breeder, but everyone knew that I was key to determining who would take over the throne as the sole Alpha. The Alpha brothers became enemies, all because of me.
I was already dozing off when the door was kicked open. Heavy footsteps approached me, just as my eyes tore open.
I blinked rapidly.
Heavily armed guards surrounded me, directing their spears at me.
"Wh-what is going on, please?" I asked weakly.
"Oh, the most wanted stock!" A female voice rang out. The guards made way as a lady in a white dress, and flowing blonde hair walked towards me.
There was a frown on her face as she drew closer.
"I couldn't wait till dawn to see the useless stock that has driven the Ashton Alphas crazy under 24 hours!" She sneered.
I looked down at the floor In silence.
"Stand when I speak to you!" She barked.
I scrambled to my feet, "Ye-yes, Ma'am."
She ran her eyes over me, before breaking into scornful laugh, clapping her hands. "Now, listen to me, I will not sit back and watch you snatch Dylan away from me"
What the hell was she talking about? I didn't want to be a breeder, as much as she didn't want to either.
"I have no interest in-" I started to say.
"Be quiet, you miserable stock!" She barked.
I took a step backwards, trying to figure out who she was, but it was as though she read my mind.
"I am Dylan's girlfriend, and I will not watch him lose his mind, just because you're the chosen stock." She hissed, wagging a finger in my face.
"I'm so sorry about-"
"Do not speak until I give you the permission to do so!" She swung her arm in the air, in an attempt to slap me. However, I lowered my head and missed her hand slightly.
She was fuming, jerking her head backwards. "You miserable thing! I am giving you just 24 hours to make sure Dylan and Derek hate you! Do anything, whatever to ensure that they hate your existence."
I was stunned at her words.
She edged close to me until her face was a few inches away from mine. "I don't care whether you are the chosen stock, I will kill you silently if I notice that Dylan still wants you."
