Chapter 1 One

Zane drove down the dark road, his coordination disrupted by his drunken tendency, he was met with a fate far more than his comprehension, but it made him sober real quick.

The moment his head hit the side, it cleared, but not very much, it was still hazy.

"Got ya!" He heard a voice said, before he could blink, he saw a grown wolf lunging at him at the corner of his eyes, he didn't think twice, he shifted into his black colored wolf and strip as well.

The two wolves circled each other, growling and snarling. Zane's heart was pounding in his chest as he tried to assess the situation. Why was there a wolf attacking him?

As the other wolf lunged at him, Zane dodged to the side and snapped his jaws at it. Their teeth clashed together and Zane felt the adrenaline pumping through his veins. He had never felt so alive.

But then, something strange happened. The other wolf faltered, stepping back and whining softly. Zane didn't understand, but he took the opportunity to attack. He pounced on the other wolf, pinning it down with his front paws and baring his teeth.

The other wolf whimpered and submitted, bowing its head in defeat. Zane hesitated for a moment before releasing the other wolf and stepping back. What had just happened? And why did he suddenly feel lightheaded.

He looked around and saw that it was an ambush, he swayed, trying to fight the lightheadedness, but it was futile.

But, the alpha wolf in him would not surrender easily, so he growled, kicked his paw, signaling for the next opponent to attack.

Suddenly, a pack of wolves emerged from the shadows, encircling Zane and the other wolf. Zane knew he was outnumbered, but he refused to go down without a fight. He braced himself, his black fur standing on end as he prepared to defend himself.

The pack of wolves charged towards him, their eyes glinting in the moonlight. Zane bit down hard on the leg of the first wolf that came at him, tearing off a chunk of flesh. The wolf howled in pain, but Zane was already on to the next one.

He dodged and weaved, using his speed and agility to outmaneuver the pack. But there were just too many of them. One of the wolves managed to sink its teeth into his hind leg, causing Zane to yelp in pain.

As he stumbled, more wolves pounced on him, pinning him to the ground. Zane fought back with all his might, but it was no use.

He dropped like a sack of sand, but not before making out the face of his attacker.

"Crazy rogue." He said in himself, drifting to sleep.

Unbeknownst to Zane, ever since they bested him and his pack of rogues at the Blue Hills pack, he had been on his tail, looking for the perfect moment to strike, when he saw that he was struggling with the packs unmerge, he knew it was best to attack then.

Taking one alpha out would make his job easy.

"Take him." He commanded those that followed him.

He has every intention of making all of his sadistic fantasy come to pass on Zane's body.

When Zane came to, he was in a strange place, bound and gagged. He tried to shift into his wolf form, but he couldn't. Panic set in as he realized he was completely vulnerable.

Jude stepped out of the shadows, a wicked grin on his face. "You should have known better than to mess with me," he sneered.

Zane struggled against his bonds, but it was no use. He was completely at the rogue's mercy.

Jude walked up to him and traced a finger down his chest, causing Zane to shudder. "I have so many plans for you, Zane. So many ways to make you suffer."

Zane glared at him, refusing to give him the satisfaction of seeing him scared.

Jude chuckled darkly. "Oh, don't worry. You'll beg for mercy soon enough."

Zane woke up to the sound of his own screams. He was in a dark room, chained to a wall. His head was throbbing and his body felt battered and bruised.

Jude stood in front of him, a wicked grin on his face. "Welcome back to the land of the living, Alpha. I've been waiting for this moment for a long time."

Zane struggled against his chains, but they were too strong. He glared at Jude, refusing to give him the satisfaction of seeing him scared.

"You'll never get away with this," Zane growled.

Jude chuckled. "Oh, but I already have. Your pack is leaderless and weak. They won't be able to stop me from doing whatever I want to you."

Zane gritted his teeth. He knew he was in a bad situation, but he refused to give up. He had to find a way to escape and take back his pack.

Zane silently prayed his Goddess, that someone somewhere would notice and come to his rescue.

After he left to the club, Ivan made it his job to encourage everyone on his team that their boss was just having a bad day, and it will pass.

When he made his way back to the pack house, he was surprised that his alpha was not back, but he knew he was just having alone time to get over himself.

The next morning, the beta woke up and asked whether their Alpha was back.

"No, Beta." The guard he asked answered.

'Alpha Zane' he mind linked him, but no response.

Ivan's heart started to race as he realized something was wrong. He quickly made his way to Zane's room and found it empty. Panic set in as he searched the rest of the house, but there was no sign of Zane anywhere. He informed the mate Lucy who became devastated at the news.

He gathered the other pack members and they started a search party, combing the woods and surrounding areas for any sign of their alpha. But as the hours turned into days, they began to lose hope.

Ivan's heart sank as he realized something was terribly wrong. He immediately rallied the pack members and sent out search parties to look for Zane.

They searched the woods and the surrounding areas, but there was no sign of their alpha. Ivan could feel the panic rising in his chest. What had happened to Zane?

together, but it was an impossible task.

Just when they had almost given up hope, a group of hunters stumbled upon a cabin in the woods. To their shock, they found Zane chained up inside.

Lucy rushed to the scene and was horrified at the state he found her alpha in. He was battered and bruised, his fur matted with blood and dirt. But the worst part was the look in Zane's eyes. It was as if he had given up on life.

Ivan immediately took matters into his hands and requested for help from the pack.

No one helped, Lucy was floored.

"No!" She screamed as Zane took his last breath.

And like that, she became a regular pack member that was given the choice to pick a male to mate with.

Chapter 2 Two

"Prepare me dinner, you bitch!" Lucy's mate, Trent shouted from the front door.

Lucy, who was busy doing the laundry shivered. Since she got mated to Trent, it has been our hell, and no matter what she does, it was one beating after the other and this day was no different.

Lucy took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down before turning to face Trent. She knew that any wrong move on her part would lead to a severe beating, and she couldn't afford that right now. She slowly walked towards Trent and looked up at him with pleading eyes.

"Trent, I am doing the laundry right now. As soon as I am done, I will make you dinner," Lucy said in a low voice, trying to keep her fear under control.

Trent stepped forward and grabbed Lucy by the hair, pulling her closer to him. "You don't tell me what to do, bitch. You do what I say, when I say it!" he bellowed, his breath smelling of alcohol.

Lucy winced in pain but tried to keep her composure. "I am sorry, Trent. I'll make your dinner right now," she said as she tried to free herself from his grip.

Trent tightened his grip on Lucy's hair and pushed her against the wall.

"You are nothing but a useless bitch! You are good for nothing! I got better things to do than to wait for you!" he said and before Lucy could react, he rained down a slap on her face. Trent kept slapping Lucy, using his other hand to grab her neck, pushing her head hard against the wall.

"You fucking useless bitch! I should have killed you when I first met you!" he said, gritting his teeth as he pushed Lucy for a response.

Trent went quiet when Lucy brought her knee up hard, straight into his groin. Trent howled in pain and released his hold on Lucy. Her hand flew to her neck to grab her aching necklace. Lucy looked at Trent with a bright smile, and all Trent saw was red.

Lucy looked at Trent who had a murderous look in his eyes. She saw him take a step towards her; his face was now inches away from hers. Trent gave a disgusted look.

"I saw you in town with some guy, you think I won't know you're cheating on me?" He slapped her hard ans she gasped.

True enough, she was talking to a man in the store while she was out getting groceries.

"Trent, I swear to you, I am not cheating on you," Lucy said in a low voice, pleading with him.

"Oh yeah? So what exactly were you doing?" Trent asked with a grin.

"I was buying stuff for dinner and he just asked me where the bathroom was!" she said, hoping that he wouldn't believe her.

Trent frowned and punched Lucy in the abdomen. Lucy cried out in pain as Trent went on hitting her, alternating between her face and her abdomen. Lucy fell on the floor, gasping for air, but Trent was relentless.

"Look, you fucking bitch," Trent said and pulled her up by the hair. "You will not leave me, do you understand? You are mine, and you will always be mine!" he roared, right in her face.

Lucy looked away from Trent, unable to meet his eyes. She was scared that he would do something to her necklace again.

"That's not true, I didn't cheat, I swear on the Goddess." She whispered in her faint voice.

"I am not cheating on you! What are you talking about?" She had been accused of cheating before and she was tired of it.

"Don't lie to me, you slut! You're just like all the other women. I'll give you to the count of three to tell me the truth." Trent said, his finger going up to Lucy's face.

"I am not lying, please Trent. I don't know what you're talking about!" Lucy said, trying to hide her panic.

"One," he continued.

"Trent, please! I am telling the truth!" Lucy pleaded as she wrapped her arms around Trent's neck.

"Two," Trent didn't let up.

"Please, please. I swear I am not cheating! Please!" Lucy cried out and Trent released her. She tried to get out of the house but he grabbed her before she could even touch the door knob.

"Where do you think you're going, bitch?" he asked, taunting her.

Lucy did not respond; she just tried to get away. Trent gripped down hard on her necklace and Lucy cried out in pain. She tried to go around him but he pinned her against the wall. Lucy looked at him pleadingly; tears flowed down her cheeks.

Trent's face was just inches away from Lucy and he could smell her sweet breath. He knew she was scared and all he wanted to do was scare her a little more. "How dare you think you can cheat on me? Don't you know who I am?" he whispered in her ear.

Lucy tried to get away again and Trent punched her hard, right in the eye. "You stupid little bitch!" he said and moved away from her to look at her swollen face.

"I can't believe that you would dare to cheat on me! It makes me wonder why I even took you in the first place!" Trent barked.

Lucy regretted taking him as her mate, before she could say anything, his phone rang,

"What?!" He barked at whoever was on the other side of the phone.

"Yes, I'll be right there." He answered, nodding before releasing Lucy from his death grip.

She gasped, feeling relief course through her.

"You better have dinner ready when I'm back." He kicked her one last time before exiting the house.

Lucy cried until there were no more years to cry.

"He accused me of cheating, maybe I should cheat indeed, after all, he's not my real mate," Lucy said in a voice void of emotion as she stood up.

She donned herself in a good outfit, did makeup to cover up her bruises then ventured into the night, ready to get her game on.

She sat in a corner, enjoying the music in the club when a stranger walked up to her.

"Need a company?" The voice asked, deep and masculine.

"Depends on who is asking." She replied in a sultry voice.

"Wanna get out of here?" She needn't think twice.

Like that, she spent her night with a stranger.

Little did she know.

Chapter 3 Three

Kieran walked into the club in the hopes of getting some fun, he didn't think he would meet his mate that same night and that it would be easy for him to score a night with her.

What shocked him however was how she left with no trace in the next day before he woke up.

Kieran woke up with a pounding headache and a deep sense of regret. He couldn't believe he had let himself get so drunk last night. He stumbled out of bed and looked around the room, hoping to catch a glimpse of the woman he had been with the night before. But all he saw was an empty bed and a note on the nightstand.

"Last night was fun, but let's not make it a habit. -J"

Kieran felt a pang of disappointment. He had hoped to see her again, to get to know her better. But now it seemed like she wanted nothing to do with him.

He got dressed, trying to shake off the feeling of rejection. As he walked out of the apartment, he noticed a familiar scent in the hallway. It was the same perfume that J had been wearing last night.

Kieran followed the scent down the hall, his heart racing with anticipation. But, the scent faded at the door.

"Finick!" He shouted, calling out to his beta.

"Yes alpha," Finick replied, running to him in urgency.

"I need you to find that girl for me." He commanded, he knew it would be hard considering the fact that she gave him a fake name.

Finick nodded, knowing better than to question his alpha. "Understood, alpha. I'll do my best to track her down."

Kieran couldn't shake off the feeling that J was his mate. He had always been skeptical of the idea of having a mate, but the way his body responded to her scent told him otherwise.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months, but Finick was unable to track down J. Kieran was starting to lose hope, but he couldn't shake off the feeling that he was meant to be with her.

One day, Kieran received a package in the mail. It was a small box with no return address. When he opened it, he found a note and a small vial of perfume.

"Meet me at the old warehouse on 5th Street at midnight. Come alone."

Kieran didn't hesitate. He knew it was J. He immediately drove to the old warehouse. When he arrived, he saw her standing there.

"I couldn't take you off my mind." Lucy had left the house once more.

Trent was assigned a special assignment by their Alpha, giving her the opportunity to do whatever she liked.

"Okay." Kieran knew he was being a fool for her, but it was necessary considering how much he's spent on looking for her.

Once again, she left, but Kieran was sure that she was a member of his pack by extension.

Being the Lycan King made it so that he oversee many packs.

"I know where to find her, Finick, let's go." He commanded and they got into the car driving in the direction of Lucy's pack.

Lucy had been caught by Trent while she was sneaking in from her night endeavor the next morning.

"Where are you coming from dressed like that?" His menacing voice came from the couch he was sitting on.

Lucy gasped, "It's not what you think of Trent, I swear on the Goddess." She quickly said, taking a step back as he took a step closer to her.

It only meant one thing, a beating.

Trent grabbed Lucy by the arm, his grip tight and painful. "You think I'm stupid, Lucy? I know what you've been up to. You've been sneaking out at night, meeting with that Lycan from the other pack. What are you doing with him?"

Lucy winced in pain, tears streaming down her face. "He's my mate, Trent. I can't help it. I need to see him."

Trent sneered at her. "Your mate? You think I'll let you go off with him, just like that? You're mine, Lucy. You belong to this pack, to me."

Lucy tried to pull away from him, but his grip only tightened. "Please, Trent. Let me go. I need to be with him."

Trent let out a cruel laugh. "You want to be with him? No bitch! You're mine and mine alone." That was when the real beating started.

Kieran and Finick arrived at the pack house later that day. Kieran was ready to take care of the bastard once and for all.

"We're here to see your Alpha, Trent." He said to the guard posted at the door.

"Of course, your highness." He replied, bowing before letting them in.

"Alpha," Finick said as he entered the room with Kieran.

Trent turned around in his chair and sneered at them. "Ah, die mighty Alpha has finally decided to pay me a visit."

Kieran rolled his eyes, he had never liked the bastard. He was always rude to him and he knew that he was the reason why the pack wasn't doing well.

"Where is she?" He asked, getting straight to the point.

Trent laughed at him. "Where is who?"

"You know who I'm talking about. I want her back."

Trent shrugged, "if you want her, you'll have to fight me." Trent smirked, but his smirk wore off when he realized that Kieran was the Lycan King, a higher rank than he could ever think of.

"I know what to do, being him outside!" Kieran stood up and left the house while calling on a pack meeting with every elder of the Blue Hills pack.

"This man here has been charged with a serious crime, here is my judgment," Kieran spoke and no one dared oppose him or his words.

"Trent, you're no longer a member of the blue hills pack, you're banished!"

Trent's eyes widened, struggling as they dragged him away.

"No!"
