ALLISON'S P.O.V.

The room fell silent as I looked at my step-father in the eyes and the tension in the hair increased rapidly.

"No. Dad, I can't follow him to anywhere, Dad please" Tears filled my eyes as I looked at him, but he had no emotion on his face.

"You will follow Francis to his back, and you will bow down to their Alpha as he is your new own, moreover you are better off sold as you brought me a lot of money, get packing before he is ready!" He growled at me before leaving the room in nothing but anger.

Tears slow slowly rolled down my eyes as the realization hit me like tons of ice. He had sold me off not just to anyone, but to the ruthless man alive, the anger in his eyes only meant death and regardless of being my stepfather, one more word from me, and I'm dead meat.

I wasn't new to being beating up for nothing, getting bullied by everyone in the pack, being hated by merely seeing me, but getting sold was the last thing I'll ever think they will do to me

A constant reminder that my mother had slept with another man was to me and I never got the chance to meet her as she was killed after I was born

"Where is she?" My body jumped as I was brought back to reality and a man didn't recognize stood at the door step of my room, then I saw Beta Francis right behind me.

"Please, I just want to speak to my..."

"Silence..." A slap across of the fade shut me up, and I could feel the blood rolling out of my nose, "... You will bow to your new master when you meet him, until then, stay silent" My body right before him, yet Beta Francis was yet to say a word, he just stared at me with nothing but... Pity, it was the first time someone looked at me in that way

I was pulled out of the house and forced into a car, and that was it. I had always hoped to leave this pack as soon as I got the chance, but this was my way to death, one look at me and the man who was meant to be my master was going to kill me.

He hated women and people who were weak, I was all in one. There was no escape for me this time. The car suddenly began to move without Beta Francis being in the car and I stayed quiet, it was the perfect way to escape this place.

Soon enough, the car was outside the pack and though my body still trembled, I needed to be strong this time. I knocked of them with my elbow surprised, knocking him out completely and the other tried to but me in place as I fought with him with the chains.

"You little bitch!" He growled at me, but I wasn't fazed by it, but I suddenly felt a hit behind my head and slowly drifted into the land of darkness.

My eyes flew open, and I was hit by a wave of headache, but I suddenly remembered what had happened and realized I was in a room you didn't recognize. Without thinking twice, I stood up and walked towards the door to see if there was any guard there , but no one was there.

I immediately dashed through the four and composed myself as though I were a maid, moreover I was fully tried as a maid, that was the only type of dresses I was allowed to wear at home

"Who are you?!" I froze in my spot as a guard asked with his eyes fixed on me, "... Are you new here?"

"Yes sir"

"Maids don't put their hair down, get to where you are meant to be and quit moving around!" He snapped, making me jump, but I immediately moved without saying a word to him again.

I needed to get the hell out of her before anyone realized I was gone, but the place was so huge, I could barely find the stairs down or a way out of this place. I ran to the end of the hall but saw nothing but darkness and I took the stairs that lead up, maybe I was going to see something from there.

"Is she awake?" I heard someone spoke and immediately moved out of the way and hidden away while they passed through me.

"I'm not sure, but Alpha Orion is getting impatient. Why the hell did you have to hit her on the head!" Their voices slowly fade away, and I let out a sigh of relief.

"What are you doing here, Child?" I screamed as someone spoke from above me, and I looked up to see him looking at me, which made me swallow hard.

"I... I just got here and... and I was asked to clean the hallway" I lied but his intense look upon me was scared than my step-father's

"Get to work!" He mumbled before walking away, and I let out by a sigh of relief.

I immediately stood up and continued down the path. My wolf ran around in my head, causing me a headache, but the environment did nothing but make fear creep into me. Something about this wasn't right, but I couldn't tell what it was.

A scent lingered around that sent shivers down my spine as I walked, and I suddenly heard footsteps from the far end of the hall. I was unable to go back, so I continued to walk and pretend like a made, but my legs came to a pause when I noticed it was Beta Francis.

Without thinking, I opened the door next to me and immediately walked in while breathing heavily, and I suddenly felt a presence in the darkness of this room. The scent of Lava and fire was stronger, and my wolf was getting crazier and the lights suddenly went on, and I met eyes with a pair of piecing red eyes that sent shivers through my bone.

"Mate" I whispered to myself and realization hit me

Alpha Orion

ALLISON'S P.O.V.

He stood up from where he was seated, and my eye slowly followed his, which made me realize how huge he was, but he was angry, it's almost as if he didn't recognize us as his mate

"Who the hell are you?!" He growled, sending shivers down my spine and I felt the familiar sting of tears while my back pressed against, and I knew I was as good as doomed.

A knock on the door caught our attention, and it opened slightly revealing Beta Francis and a part of me felt relieved that he was here, but I doubted if he was going to save me from Orion.

"What the hell are you doing here?" He growled at me before giving Orion an apology look, "... Alpha, this is Allison. The new slave we picked from Blue shadow pack" Orion looked at me again, and I immediately took my eyes away.

"Get out of here, Francis" I held on to Francis's shirt as I tried to walk out of the room, begging him not to go, but he gave me a look before yanking his shirt out of NY hand and walking out of the room

My body trembled the closer he got, and he grabbed my face, taking a good look at it before letting me go and walking back to his bed, but I couldn't.move an inch as I was so scared that it felt as though I was held under so much pressure. which he wasn't doing anything at all.

"Here the deal, Allison. You'll be my mistress, not a slave, but if you go against my orders I'll make sure you get to stab yourself, and I'll send your body to the dungeon to rot, do you understand?"

"Y... Yes" I cleared my throat while playing with my fingers to look away from his eyes.

"You are meant to conceive a child and give birth to my heir, but if you give birth to a girl, you'll continue to bare children to give birth to a boy, or you die while doing that. If you give birth to a boy, you will be set free, understand?"

"What if..."

"You have no opinion, Allison. Do what I ask you to do, ask no questions and reply with 'Yes sir' is that understood?". His voice sent shivers down my spine.

"Yes sir"

"Get out of my sight. Francis will lead you to your room" I immediately stepped out to be able to breathe well, the atmosphere in there was thicker than fogs but what he didn't recognize the mate at all.

How could he not recognize it?

My heart felt like it was going to rip apart. I had waited so long to find a mate and now he doesn't even know that, perhaps it will take a lot of time for him to find out, but a part of me which he will find out sooner than later.

Perhaps sleeping with him will awaken the mate bond in him, he did want a son after all, and he looked as if he wanted to get rid of me as soon as he could, I do hope this works

"What the hell are you doing?" I screamed at the top of my voice as Beta Francis sneaked up on me and I tried to control my breath

"Don't scare me like that, please" I spoke gently, not wanting any trouble with him as well and he suddenly smiled

"You and I will be good friends"

"Friends?" I looked at him in disbelief and the realization hit me.

I've never truly had a friend

I screamed at the top of my lungs as I felt the whip against my back, and tears poured out of my eyes and blood oz out of my back. It's been weeks since I've been here and it was horrible.

Nothing worked as I planned, he never recognized the mate bond, no matter what I did, he still looked at me in disgust and hit when he wanted, yet the mate bond pulled me closer to him and I couldn't help but like who he was

"Get the hell out of here!" He yelled at me and shivers ran down my spine but this time I had enough, I couldn't bare the burning pain I felt every day before going to bed.

"Enough!" I snapped as I cried, "... Just enough already, Orion. Ever since I came here, when I first saw you I found out that we were mates, but you never recognized the..." A slap across my face caused me to trail off, and I looked at him.

"Mates? How dare you lie to me? Even if I were your mate, I would have found out and I would have rejected you. Curse the day you and I will ever become mates" He spit on my face and I felt my heart break into pieces while my wolf whimpered within me"... Guards!!" The doors immediately opened, "... Get her locked up immediately!" They pulled me out of the room as I tried to struggle, but it was off no use, he despises me.

I was nothing but a woman who will give him a child. Tears rolled down my eyes as I was locked up in a cell and I curled myself in a ball rocking back and forth on my own.

Hours passed by, and it was nothing but pure silence until the door suddenly open, and I could easily tell that it was Francis, but why was he awake so late at night?

"What are you doing here?" I asked looked away from him while he opened the door and stepped with some food.

"You haven't eaten anything and..." He trailed off, and I realized he had seen the blood on my shirt, "... What did he do to you?" He immediately kept the food in front of me and tried to check the wound, but I moved away.

"You need not worry about it, I'm healing and fine." He let out a sigh.

"He isn't as bad as you presume him to be"

"Don't give me that..."

"His mother left them for another man when he was a kid, his father on the other hated him so much and brought him up harshly. Orion believed his parents hated him so much and everyone else will hate him, but he never healed from the pain his parents cost him and what made it worst was that his mate rejected him and got married to the Alpha of a rival pack" I gasped at the thought of that, and I realized why he had that look on his face the moment I mentioned mate to him.

"I didn't know"

"He believes women are meant to be tortured, and a witch cursed him to never be able to feel his heart no matter what"

That's why he never recognized the mate bond. My heart felt heavy knowing about this, but my thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the door and his scent filled the room and I swore my heart skipped a beat the moment I met those eyes.

ALLISON'S P.O.V.

"What the hell are you doing here?" He questioned Francis as I moved towards a corner.

"She hadn't eaten anything, that's why I'm here" Francis was fazed by his aura or anything as he stared right back into Orion's eyes and a part of me felt like they had a past that was ruined

Were they perhaps best friends?

"Go to your room, Allison" He growled at me and without thinking, I immediately stood up, I looked towards Francis who assumed me to go he will be fine, and I walked up the stairs and dashed through the door

Though my back was fully healed, it still hurt a little bit, I couldn't quite stop the pain, but I knew it will soon stop. The maid of the house continued to look at me weirdly as I walked towards my room, and I shut the door.

It was a normal thing ever since I got here, all they ever did was gossip about me and they hated me. It was just like my pack but this time no one had the right to touch me except for Orion.

I felt a bit relieved as the water from the shower poured on my body, but I was still worried about Francis. It was pretty obvious that he wasn't scared of him, which only meant they shared something which was difficult to tell.

The door to the room opened as I stepped out of the room, and he walked in with his hands behind him, which made me swallow slowly as I looked at him

"Go to my room as soon as you are done. No leave or I'll kill you myself" He looked at me in disgust before leaving the room without me replying, and I let out a sigh.

If only he could recognize the bond, this wouldn't have been happening

I wiped my tears away and immediately dressed up before heading towards his room, but I saw him walking out of the house, which made me confused, why did he ask me to stay in the room?

I let out a sigh before I went to the room and closed myself in. I've only been here at night and come to think of it, this place was darker than I presumed, the only light coming in here was from the closed window.

He never liked the lights after all

After what seemed to be an hour, I couldn't take it anymore, I began looking around for something to read, but I was stunned I found piles of documents that seemed uncountable underneath the bed

I began to read, and I saw many things from his past which made me let out a small smile, he was thrilled when he was little, at least in photos, but in some of them I could see that he was forced to smile, and he looked like the exact replica of his father

I heard many things about his father and how ruthless he was while growing up, but he was worse than his father and the curse placed on him just made it worst, I looked curiously at a particular photo and I saw him and Francis with 'Brothers' written on it which made me confused

They are brothers?

No, that's impossible, Francis had said his mother ran away for another man when he was young, and it was very obvious that Orion was older or the same age as Francis. Could it be that they are twins?

I heard the handle of the door and I immediately pushed the pushed back and sat on the floor like I always do, but then I saw Francis who was standing at the shut door looking at me weirdly and I smiled

"What are you doing here?" He asked as he walked towards me.

"He asked me to stay here without leaving, or he might kill me" I still get chills upon knowing he could kill me at any time and wouldn't hesitate about it

"He isn't home, why would he keep you here? Well, if you need..."

"Francis?" He looked at me with his eyebrows raised confused "... What happened between you and Alpha?" I saw as the smile fell from his face immediately, and I realized my suspicions were actually true, there was something between them.

"He changed after the witch cursed him. Nothing and no one mattered to him anymore. The brotherhood we kept since birth broke off, he wasn't the person I considered to be my best friend anymore, but regardless, it became what it is now. No one can control him, and the one person we thought might change it..."

"We?"

"The chief maid took care of us as kids. We thought his mate might do something to bring him back, but he got rejected, so there's no hope for him anymore"

"I... I'm sorry to hear that"

"You'll soon be out of here, you just need to have a son, and you'll be free" He smiled before he picked a piece of paper and left, I couldn't help but feel disheartened

It was obvious, Francis wanted his best friend back, the pack wanted their Alpha back, but how was I meant to do that if he didn't even recognize the mate bond? I needed to try to make it happen, for Francis at least.

I pulled the box out and continued to look through it and I saw a book that was named 'The Oracle' something about the book didn't feel right, but I put the book aside to read later in case he didn't come back and the door opened again but this time it wasn't Francis, it was the Chief maid who had a smile on her face then she left

That was odd

I let out a sigh and my entire money froze in place as I noticed a family photo which I presumed to be his, but my eyes were fixed on his mother and I realized that was my step-father's mistress
