Chapter 1 Epilogue to a 17-year-old-Selene POV

Give it one more go, sliding the thin cotton into the needle.

After the fifth attempt, it enters, "Yes!"

My mother, who is pregnant, flinches at my shout.

We had been residing in the realm of the moon for some time.

I had been attempting to learn how to live as a woman without guards or servants and, as my aunts put it, "no distractions" while my mother carried my sister after the twins were born.

She gave birth to another son and, shortly after, my younger sister.

In every way imaginable, my father is enthralled with my mother, and he detests having to leave us to make sure my husbands obey.

They are not even remotely attractive to me right now.

I want to be with my parents after hearing them lament how terrible their death was.

How could I want three unappreciative partners?

even when they are my mates.

Could you please try to keep me from going into labor, Selene?

Mom asks, appearing quite frightened.

I did not realize mom gets sensitive when she is pregnant, and dad constantly tries to console her.

His patience is admirable, but I have also discovered that moms are just sensitive when it comes to getting pregnant and giving birth.

My aunts explained to me why my father was descended from royalty on both sides, but my mother was born into a lower social class.

Finding out that mom did not have the strength she usually does when she is not pregnant hurt me.

"I apologize, Mommy; after trying so hard, I just got excited."

As she completed her new quilt, she smiled broadly at me.

I am a pretty good small hanker-shifter and can do simple designs, but I can not make a single shirt, sheet, or anything my mother makes. I have a lot of work ahead of me.

I want to accomplish this as well as she can, so it irritates me.

I made the mistake of pinching my fingers while trying to knit my first shirt.

My mother was having a terrible time getting her to laugh.

She finally laughed at my words, "Not funny, Mom, it hurts like a bee sting," which made me laugh too.

"I hope they treat you well, Selene. Keep in mind what I said and what your fathers said. If they dare to ruin the life we have built for you, go with the person you love." Are we all clear, my love?

My mother, who was very concerned about me, saw my smile.

Despite the fact that my mother and I are not very similar, she has always been my best friend and for much more.

Except for the training, I resemble my father more than anything.

I am not very resilient to hits, but my mother's tactical advantage on the battlefield helped me get past a lot of the obstacles I encountered when training with my father.

Even my fated mates could not win him over; he is the most vicious god alive.

Over the years, they have all been defeated.

In order to educate them, my father must travel back and forth, but I have learned how to win on the battlefield-a skill that will help me win over my mates, just as my mother did before me.

If my twin siblings are born healthy, that makes eight of us total-they have certainly outdone our mother.

I hurriedly got up to assist my mother when I saw her begin to get out of her rocking chair, but as usual, everything fell on me, causing my mother to sit back down.

Mom sighed heavily as I put everything on the third chair, which held more of our sewing kits. "I am sorry, I will clean it in a second, I just want to help you get up is all," mom said.

When I eventually get up and get clean, my baby brother Leroy bumps me back into my rocking chair and says, "You have no self-control do you Selene? Mother is pregnant with Stella; the least you could do is fix your horrible coordination problems!"

When our mother pinched his cheek, he spoke with a refined posture, and I laugh at his state of mind at the moment.

"You, Leroy, your sister, and all of you are far from flawless, and I am really disappointed in you." Gods, being brown does not make for perfect puppies, and you have brought up that part of yourself in these situations. Now, before I kick you there, get our stuff ready with your aunts.

Leroy approached me without pausing to apologize for his impolite behavior. I detest seeing Mother regress when she is spending so much time with our sister.

I growled low at him. Despite carrying our sister, our mother is no coward.

She is not a weak goddess, though, despite being pregnant. "You have no right or justification to denigrate our mother in that manner. When he heard me say, "She is stronger than you will ever wish to be," his expression changed to one he used to apologize to his mother.

Instead, we could all hear our dads snarling.

Turning to face the door, our father-clad in filthy clothes-came in carrying a bouquet of my mother's favorite flowers, pink roses. "Leroy, it appears that you need more classes to change your behavior."

As my father entered, my brother walked with a noticeable shake in his eyes, his expression shifting from anger to pure adoration.

Seeing that my father still caressed my mother with such attentive affection warmed my heart.

He genuinely desired her love.

It had been months since I had seen my father, but they looked at each other as though they had only been apart for a minute.

This time, I will take them all along with Selene. With what I have in mind, they will discover what not to do; it worked on my father, and it will work on them as well.

My father said, but I could see my mother's concern in her gaze.

"Leonidas, if they meet without me present, I will not be able to support her."

Giving her the flowers he would been hiding behind his back, he shook his head.

"She will not be by myself; Enzo is waiting for me."

I heard the name of my godfather.

Hearing the name of my entertaining godfather made me smile.

"I am prepared! I swear I will not meet the triplets! I shall obey my godfather's orders!

My father gave me a worried look, which made me nervous and lead me to ask.

"Papa, what am I missing?"

I asked her, "Mother?" in a hopeful tone as he exhaled and turned away from her to face me.

As soon as she said it, I started looking to her for answers.

"Are I clear? Just keep in mind not to fall in love with anyone who is not your intended mate at first."

My father nodded in agreement at what his mother had said.

There, I understood that they were attempting to make sure I had not made a decision before meeting the triplets. I knew this, of course, but why was it being enforced so strictly?

Although it was difficult to accept that my parents were acting in this manner, I trusted that they were acting in my best interests.

"Yes, ma'am."

I quickly responded.

I left the room feeling hurt because I had hoped to have a good time and I had nowhere else to go.

Then, behind me, my mother yelled, obviously offended by my actions, but I was tired of being made fun of.

It was unfair to me, and I felt terrible that I could not even do something as basic as come to Earth to make sure I adjusted.

"Wait, Selene!"

I turned to face my father, who was staring at me, warning me not to push my luck. I had forgotten about my mother's condition and had grown conceited.

When my father spoke firmly behind her, my mother continued to sway toward me as he went to assist her with walking.

"You are a sweet young woman, Selene. I need you to take back the stories of your mother's childhood and mine, even though your heart is as pure as your mother's. Keep in mind that you are my princess and that I will not allow you to lead the life that your mother did.

He grasped her hands.

Their adoring looks make me smile, and as he speaks to my mother, he looks lovingly in her direction.

"It is possible, and now more than ever, you are to become a lady. In light of the struggles I had to go through for all of us, you must accept this at least until we can all agree that they show you the same amount of love, if not more, that I give you all."

My mother gave me a little purr, and when I looked at her, she moved his hand to her swollen stomach, which held my siblings.

Father grinned broadly as I saw movement emanate from her stomach as he touched her.

"I want to give you everything you deserve in the future, but right now we have to help each snow flake individually."

Her purr becomes louder as he gives her a kiss on top of her head.

Chapter 2 2. Selene POV

Father looked at me with concern written in his expression.

"Your heart cannot be forced to love what it pains to live with. I may be away countless times, but all of this was for your benefit, and I made sure to embed in your heart what love is, Selene."

He held tightly to my mother with care, he held mother to move her to an arm chair on the hall, as she sat on the chair my father continued.

"I would die for your mother alone, and she would for me, as your time comes it comes to show you what matters, but both, your mother, and I worked with each other to make all of this work."

He demonstrated with his free hand the castle they had built after I had been recently born.

"As heavy as it feels, all of this falls on you now; do not disappoint yourself is all we ask."

My heart felt torn by my father's words; he wanted to have me happy, but he also knew I could ruin it.

None of this made me feel alright, but I knew I had a task, a bet, and the only one that is the most important.

Only bright side was that this is also something I had a bet to win with my godfather by making my marriage work, and he had it with his mates and my parents the same.

Walking with my parents and siblings to the open lagoon, we reached it before Mother started her contractions.

My aunts had stepped with her to help deliver Stella.

Looking at my parents, I saw how my father embraced her.

The love they held was something I wanted as well.

After my parents said their farewell, my father declared something to my mother that I had overheard.

"Once you have healed, you will return to me. Stella needs to stay here for the time as Emmy suggested. Please know I love you, and I intend never to have you forget this again, my love," mom blinked fast.

We all knew she had no idea what Father had in store.

Father intended to have mother enjoy herself with his company, he intended to have the triplets enjoy motherhood with little Stella as she would learn how to hold the stars in her hands like the galaxy.

I placed my lips in a line to not show what I learned, father had told me in a time of training.

When Father woke in the lagoon with us, it lighted up as the same as when the sun hits the moon to give it light.

Walking in the water I had blink and we were inside a room made of glass and gold with silver, and it was a splendid room.

I had never come to the mortal world.

Looking with curiosity about this change, I glanced at my siblings to see they were as well as I in amazement.

"There is my little rascal!"

We all heard Uncle Enzo shout, the second my eyes spotted him I ran to him, and he embraced me in a hug.

"Godfather!"

I called as he Bear hugged me, up then placed me back down.

My brothers ran to him to say their hello as well.

As they did this, I walked a bit behind, and wandered around this place when I was met with a small group of people outside of this room.

Seeing them I remember I needed to change into my human.

I cannot remain in my state.

Walking back, I morph my gray hair into black with blonde shades, my eyes turn from the black with white galaxy into bright blue, and my porcelain skin takes a slight tan shade.

My body felt different in this change, weaker, but I knew it was requested.

My family hid me from the others by staying in the moon, but we needed to make a good impression on the humans now that I was finally here.

I had my most recent dress from my father, and just like my mother we shared similar traits.

I love the color pink, and I was wearing a light pink dress with a pink vest and my black boots.

As I was not to show my title, I had no jewelry, which was a flattering embrace to my free spirit, seeing my father and siblings doing the same as me in shifting into their human self the came to be by my side.

I didn't see any harm in turning to look around at those who were in what seemed like a waiting room.

Turning, I was met with a young blonde man with what looked to be known as glasses that held his bright blue eyes.

He was not well dressed, but his slim, toned body was easy on the eyes.

So much so that my heart started to run at the sight of this man when uncle Enzo intervened in our encounter.

"My lady, pay no mind to a farmer son, come with me," he tried to decide what I should do as mother did warn me earlier when the man spoke in a sweet stuttering manner.

"Ex-ex-excuse m-me my lady I-I am Endy-dy-mion p-please to have met you, I-I hope to m-meet again."

I was surprised he responded this way, yet my father spoke for me, his words clarifying my doubts, "has she asked to learn of you?"

Tension was set in the room, seeing everyone stop to glance our direction, I then take my father's arm, leaning on him to walk outside.

Endymion looked towards my father as frightened as he should be.

Father never displays kindness unless it is mother, and us his heirs, the fruits of his love with our mother alone.

Waving Endymions hands he tried to speak.

"N-no, n-n-no si-sir she, she is just m-much be-beautiful tha-than that of w-what I have he-heard from the th-three prince t-that I was t-taken a-a-away from he-her b-b-beauty, I-I did, di not m-mean her a-any har-harm, I-I will ta-take my leave p-please fo-forgive me."

His stutter become worse with the fear my father gave him, and I felt horrible to have him be in such a difficult circumstance.

However, I still turned around, even if Endymion did as well I did not think more on the subject but simply left.

Perhaps leaving would help him not get in more trouble.

After all, he honestly was not trying to be a burden, but Father knew more than I did.

As I looked ahead, there were men in armor surrounding this building.

I felt safe in father's grasp; he was making every woman in this place look back at him, and he made many men glare at him for doing so.

I felt very precious to be in my father's protective embrace.

Then, I began to think about how my father treated my mother when they were children, father truly adored mother even then.

Taking steps ahead with my father, I spoke with determination.

"Father, if I may?"

He replied by taping his hand on mine, "Yes?"

I bit my lip to say, "Is this how you are with Mother? Always attentive to her mind and heart more than her body? It is different hearing them than having the experience, and I truly am curious about these actions."

My father smiled brightly as he spoke.

"For that exact question, you know the words from being educated, but now you get the actual treatment, and your brothers will learn the same way; the only difference is the amount of correction you will get from failing, as your mother is always right, your future wives are also right, it is the saying I speak to your mates."

Our father stated as we walked out of the chapel to our lovely home, and out of this estate there was a wooden car pulling up.

Uncle Enzo opened the door for me, and we left for our castle to stay until I met my mate.

I wondered if this was what my aunts had educated me in learning to be a chapel. Walking near one of these men, I knew they were guards.

For the humans, they serve to maintain order in the human's territory, but these warriors were a mixture based on their armor color; it was exciting, yet I couldn't concentrate that quickly as Landon placed his hand on my shoulder to talk to me.

"Just arrived to have a lover? You work fast, sister! But remember, we are placed to ensure you are not around that Endymion fellow. He may be playing the Im sad guy with a speech and eyesight difficulty, so don't play mind into him, okay?"

My brother tugged me in for a side hug when I heard our father.

"Walk. We are to meet Lupe and Isabella soon. They should be outside. Our guards hold the design of a moon in their black armor."

Chapter 3 3. Selene POV

I looked at my father, who had shifted his image into looking like a human.

It was clear the resemblance between him, and I, as I had his black hair, blue eyes, however I was more slim on my fascial features like my mother, and yet as we heard my siblings our intense facial expressions were evident.

Even more when we heard my brother Lenore.

"I pray I inherited your good looks, Father. The ladies of all ages have desired you since we walked out of the room."

My brother's words made our father sigh in disappointment, his expression hardening as the ladies around us spoke lowly.

Out of all things to look forward to as a higher power of species, this my bother desires?

How excruciating.

Yet father did not hold his tongue to my brother as his words stripped his hopes off his face.

"What lies outside doesn't reflect what is in my heart. They may desire me as much as they would like, but my heart belongs to only one goddess, your mother. Learn what is a true blessing in your life, and if not, I pray you look as hideous as a burned cherry pie."

I held my laugh at my father, glancing at my brother he scrunched at our father.

Knowing what made my brother's desires unvalued had me feeling much peaceful.

I agreed with my father as he spoke to him.

What is wrong with those who value one's body but not mind is a subject that I find no logic behind it.

I wonder however, why so many expect an action after seeing an image they desire?

It wasn't till Father extended his hand for me to take kindly that he added.

"As I teach the three beasts of this realm, I too shall indulge my wisdom, and strength to my sons after such a display of ignorance to your morals."

Father extended his free hand to make sure my arm was tucked, he held a small part of my dress as to not let my dress get caught to the ground.

Once I could take some steps with him he gave a small pull that made me look up to him, he smiled kindly at me to the direct his attention to my brothers.

"As a lady is to be treated as an equal, and with honor, you, protect her in a simple yet elegant manner, and unlike these beasts I had to educate you will learn."

My bothers looked confused till we over heard some of the ladies in the room.

"Such a wise father, he could teach antiquity to my daughter, she is of good age..."

"... Perhaps he could educate me in such manners, I seem to have a harder time finding the company of such a strapping man."

"I would exchange my own suitor, for such a considerate gentleman."

Hearing all of this father lets out a heavy sigh as he continues to educate my siblings.

"Don't concern your minds over others perspectives, any one of my sons tries to pull anything in ruining your first experience with your fated bride, is to respond to me directly."

He closed his eyes as he linked us all.

'I will kill you before you can act on it, am I clear?'

My brothers all nodded as I giggled at his words, father had no .

I knew my father meant his words, but seeing how scared my brothers became was worth the hold of laughter.

I then took my steps along side my father's arm, leaning on him to walk outside made me feel safe to be in such a respectful embrace.

It brought a smile on my face, I wanted to be held this way by my fated mate.

I felt safe in his grasp; he was making every woman in this place look back at him with desires that I was sure weren't socially appropriate, or acceptable.

The men in this place had hateful glares directed to him, yet I knew father only had eyes for my mother.

As we left the place I knew he made many young ones glare at him for doing so.

I felt very precious to be in my father's protective embrace.

Then, I began to think about how my father treated my mother.

Each day I saw father back in the moons realm, mother never had to lift a finger for father held everything for her.

He read to her, held her hand, as he trained she sowed, and he was always fair with mother.

Every day, on every morning, evening, and night father brought her lilies, with pink, and red roses.

Fated of the moon please bless me with a man who would treasure me as much as father has done for my mother.

Knowing a lady should not speak unless allowed by her father as an unwed lady, I cleared my throat.

Taking steps, I spoke with my father.

"Father, if I may?"

He replied by taping his hand on mine.

"Yes?"

I bit my lip to say.

"Is this how you are with Mother? Always attentive to her mind and heart more than her body? It is different hearing them than having the experience, and I truly am curious about these actions."

My father smiled brightly as he spoke.

"For that exact question, you know the words from being educated, but now you get the actual treatment, and your brothers will learn the same way."

Father addressed to my siblings to firmly say.

"The only difference is the amount of correction you will get from failing, as your mother is always right, your future wives are also right, am I clear?"

Our father stated as we walked out of the room to have a charming man that was being pulled in from a wooden car to be ready for us.

My godfather Enzo opened the door for me, to then have father enter, as everyone got in we left to our castle to stay till I had to meet my mates.

The entire ride we had small chats, father was very proud over the way we were behaving till a mind link was received on our way.

As he clutched his hands he placed his hand on the outside to hit the side of the car.

The car stopped as he got off leaving us all confused until he spoke to our godfather.

"I shall meet you all home, seems your sons have done it this time, Enzo I swear I will end them if they act one more time."

Godfather Enzo groaned in defeat, this was not at all flattering to hear from their end.

As my father saw my expression he showed his own worry.

"I shall return shortly but please know this is a normal behavior of these wolves, I hate to defend such animals for mates but I still have faith their behavior will change."

I tried to show my father I believed him, yet it did not work as he added after seeing my expression.

"Your mother had a hard time believing me as well, but I did change, for I loved her more than the war we had raised on the account of her now first husband."

My confusion was mutual with that of my brothers as they all at one's started to ask questions as they moved towards where father was.

Mother had been married before she was with father?

It was no secrete mother knew of my misfortune.

I believed it was because of her being in a mutual agreement not a first marriage is what my brother is stating.

Now I was annoyed at the entire conversations surrounding our Mother being a completely different person.

Teenagers.

For my age I like to believe I am much wiser, I have a mind that is stronger then others, and I want to be accepted for that by my loved ones.

Hearing them all engulfed in theories, and hypothesis I decided to end this by asking my Godfather.

"Godfather if I may ask?"

He was seated by my side with Leroy in the middle of us.

As he turned his face to me he replied me kindly.

"Yes my lady?"

I smiled at his words to ask him.

"Care to clarify my doubts on learning the truth of our Mothers past?"

I knew the answer, but I also wanted my siblings to end their bickering, and my godfather did just that.

"Of course I can, but this is more a conversation she should have with all of you once more, I can however warn you all of her first husband."

His words intrigued my brothers, and I as we leaned a bit to hear his story of the man who had married our Mother.
