Married To The Hidden Billionaire

The sounds of two people moaning could be heard and Skyler thought the man sitting on the couch with a woman buried deep on his laps looked familiar. Skyler's eyes were getting welled with tears as she stared at the video playing on the projector that was supposed to show flowers and wedding ring decoration of the man whom she was standing next to at the alter and about to get married too.

That was Felix, the man who was supposed to be her husband with her workmate Felicia. She was not enemies with Felicia but they were not friends either and she even invited Felicia to her wedding.

Skyler's mother, Kiara stood up from her chair the moment the video began playing, even Felix looked shocked wondering how the tape got leaked on his wedding.

Skyler stared at Felix and a teardrop fell from her eyes.

"Tell me it's edited, that is not real, we are going to get married and someone is just framing you to break us apart" She was hoping he would deny it but that would be her lying to herself.

"The video is not real, it's edited" Felix shamelessly denied it.

"Damn you!" Skyler's hands flew to his cheeks, giving him a resounding slap.

"I loved you Felix, I gave you everything but this is how you repay me?" Her tears didn't stop flowing from her eyes.

"Babe I'm sorry, I was drunk and didn't know when this happened" He tried to plead.

"Oh, so I'm stùpid? I'm Felix!!" Skyler yelled at him with so much exasperation.

Kiara was already crying from where she stood. She knew how much Skyler had planned for this day only to get this.

"I'm sorry" Felix muttered but was inwardly cursing Felicia who was secretly smiling at what was happening. She didn't have the ounce of shame not to show up for the wedding.

"Save your sorry Felix, we are done!" Skyler's eyes carried so much rage before she took off the wedding ring on her finger and threw it on the marble floor.

The glass diamond broke off the ring but she didn't care. The next second, she was raising her dress a bit and running out of the venue with tears in her eyes.

"Skyler!" Kiara, and Skyler's best friend, Ashely and Wendy went after her but she ran so fast, they couldn't find her around the venue.

"My baby" Kiara burst out in tears before going back to the venue to meet Felix while Ashely and Wendy went to look for Felicia who had already run away.

"That bitch" Ashely muttered before they looked at Felix who was already moving backwards.

"Aunt, I promise you it's just a misunderstanding.."

Felix was not done when Kiara took off one of her shoes and threw it on his face.

"Fûck" he cursed silently.

People were already murmuring among themselves while some were leaving the venue already.

"My daughter loved you with everything she had and was even ready to get married at the age of twenty-four, she had a lot of plans for you!!" Kiara shouted.

"I'm sorry aunt, humans make mistakes, please forgive me" he replied, feigning a sorry look.

"Aunt don't talk to this bastard, let's just beat him up" Wendy moved closer to him but he dodged her and took his heels.

"Let's go after him" Wendy wanted to chase him but Ashely held her back and shook her head.

"Just let him go, dìcks will always be dìcks but the most important thing is making sure Skyler is okay," she said.

Kiara was already calling Skyler's number but she wasn't picking up.

AN EMPTY ROAD★

A Bugatti la Voiture Noire was the only car on the road. A man dressed in a dark blue blazer and putting on glasses could be seen driving. Behind him was Mason with a disappointed and angry look on his face as he had his phone on his ears.

He dropped his phone on the space beside him, looking frustrated. Linda had lied to him again, she told him they would get married together but she didn't show up and she was not picking her calls.

He couldn't take this because he was in desperate need of a wife today. If only heavens can just bring one from no where to him.

"Alvin speed up to the airport and book an immediate flight that would take us to Paris" He said to his personal assistant. He didn't mind flying to Paris and dragging Linda to get married to him today.

"Understood boss" Alvin stepped on the break and brought out his phone. He was looking at the road and the phone at the same time as he dialed a number but failed to notice someone in a wedding dress crossing the road.

That person was Skyler, she had her white heels in her hands, and her tears were black as her mascara was washing off. She wasn't running, she was walking barefoot like a lost person and when Alvin noticed her it was almost too late, thank goodness he was quick to step on the break.

The force he used made both him and Mason jerk forward.

"What the hell Alvin!?" Mason exclaimed angrily.

Skyler didn't care that she was about to get hit, instead, she stopped and faced the car then spread her arms wide open.

"Keep driving, I'm ready to die," she said.

Alvin hit on the horn twice but she didn't move and he came down to meet her.

"What the hell is wrong with you? Are you planning to die!" He yelled but Skyler scoffed, black tears were still rolling her eyes.

"Of course, I want to die, I found out my groom was cheating on me on my wedding day, what do you expect me to do!!" She yelled back.

"You should pull this stunt elsewhere, we have a flight to catch up right now so leave!" Alvin said angrily.

Mason, who had been watching from the back seat, rolled down his glass and calls Alvin over, Alvin goes to him.

"What's happening with her?" He asked calmly.

"She said her groom cheated on her and she wants to die" Alvin rolled his eyes.

"Interesting" Mason muttered to himself before opening the door and stepping down.

He arranged his suit and moved towards her while Alvin watched him from behind.

"Miss I have a proposal for you," he said calmly and Skyler turned to look at him.

"You see we are the same, I was supposed to get married today but my fiancè stood me up and your groom betrayed you" he gave her a calm look.

"What are you trying to say?" She asked, eyeing him head to toe. The black tears should have made her look ridiculous but they didn't.

"Let's get married" he dropped it and she stared at him for a while before bursting out into laughter.

"Married? I just got betrayed by my groom and you came from nowhere, asking for marriage? What a joke" She turned around and began walking away.

"Are you going to look for another car to kill you or will you marry me and help me take over my grandma's company while I help you get back at your ex?" he said, making her halt.

A slow smirk appeared on his face as he moved closer to her then stopped just a few centimeters behind her.

"He cheated on you, you loved and gave him everything but he threw it all away. Don't you want to see him suffer for the pains you're going through now? You want to die so he'd feel nothing and continue to cheat on you?" He didn't intend to whisper but that was how his voice came out.

Tears came out of Skyler's eyes. Yes, she would do anything to make Felix pay for what he did to her today.

She turned to face him.

"And how am I sure you won't go back on your words?" She asked, staring into his eyes with a sudden look of determination.

"Marry me and you will see for yourself" he replied, staring back into those ocean-blue eyes.

"Deal!" Skyler's lips moved.

She knew what she just did, she just agreed to marry a stranger on the same day she found out her ex had been cheating on her. If someone asks her for the stupidest decision she has ever made then she would have this story to tell.

"Wise decision" he replied then faced Alvin who was just looking in surprise.

"Alvin, cancel the flight to Paris and drive us to the county clerk" he ordered.

Alvin nodded and Skyler followed Mason to sit at the back before Alvin entered and resumed driving.

COUNTY CLERK★

Alvin opened the car for Skyler and Mason, Mason was in his sunglasses though, even if he wasn't putting his shades on, no one would recognize him because he has never been in the spotlight.

This time people's eyes were on them probably wondering why Skyler was dressed in her wedding gown and was in the county clerk.

Isn't she supposed to be in the church or something? Were the thoughts going through people's minds?

Mason ignored their looks as he stepped inside the office with Skyler. They went to the judge, she was a strict-looking woman, anyone would fear her at first glance but not Mason.

She looked at Skyler for a while before looking at Mason.

"And if I may ask, why are the both of you here?" She asked calmly.

"It's not polite to keep us standing" Mason replied instead and she pointed to the seat.

He sat with Skyler beside him and then crossed his legs with so much pride.

"We want to register our marriage" he replied to her question earlier.

The woman looked at Skyler again.

"Are you sure?"

"Do we look unsure?" He knitted his brows. The aura around him made the woman limit herself from all the things she was about to say.

"Marriage isn't a joke, the both of you have to think twice before getting yourselves inside it. Once I register the both of you, there are various responsibilities to face, are you ready?" She faced Skyler this time.

Skyler only nodded. She doesn't care how her life will be after this but Felix will pay for what he did to her.

"If it's so then may I see your rings?"

Skyler looked at Mason who brought out a box containing two rings, it was supposed to be for him and Linda but he guessed not anymore.

He took her hands and wore the ring on her slender third finger, she took him and wore it for him.

The woman brought out a file and passed it to them.

"Sign here, here, and write your names here" She gave it to Mason first.

Mason signed all he was supposed to sign and gave it to Skyler, she stared at the number for a few seconds before signing it.

The woman took the file and stamped it. She took the telephone and made a call then a man came in with a camera.

"I will need the both of you to sit close to each other," the photographer said.

Mason took Skyler's fingers and intertwined them with his then pulled her a bit closer to him.

Click! The picture was taken.

"Congratulations Mr and Mrs Delgado, you are hereby pronounced husband and wife!"

Skyler's eyes widened. Did she just hear Delgado? Is it the famous Delgado family or maybe another one that's not related to the powerful Delgado family?

But if she's getting married to one of Mario Delgado's grandsons then who was he?

Various thoughts were running through Skyler's mind as she looked out of the window. She was sitting in the car with Mason beside her, who kept ignoring her as he pressed his phone. Skyler turned from the window to peep at him again. Is he really from the Delgado family? If yes then who was he because she has seen Jacob and Hudson and also the youngest grandson, Carson.

Was there another one she didn't know about or maybe he was just bearing the last name? He can't possibly be the 'Mason Delgado' everyone was looking for.

"Just ask" Mason didn't take his gaze from his phone when he said that. He noticed her looking at him countless times and he was sick of it.

Skyler cleared her throat before looking at him properly.

"I just learned your last name is Delgado so I was wondering if you are related to old man Mario" she asked slowly.

"Hmm," he nodded, still pressing his phone while Alvin was stylishly watching them through the concave mirror.

Skyler gulped nothing down her throat before opening her mouth to speak again.

"If you're from the Delgado family then what is your name?" She kept her eyes firmly on his face.

"Mason" he didn't think twice before giving her an answer.

Skyler's eyes widened like it was about to pop out of its socket.

"Mason?" She repeated.

He looked at her and nodded.

"No, I don't believe you... you're pulling my legs right now! How can you be Mason? Do you know who Mason is? He's the hidden billionaire everyone is looking for! How can you be him!!" Skyler was starting to freak out.

She can't be married to the hidden billionaire. He was rumored to make good clothes with really cool designs and she admired him a lot so how could this man sitting here be him?

"I don't believe you" she shook her head.

"Alvin, can you take a turn to the nearest mall? I can't bring my wife home dressed up like this" Mason ignored her as he instructed Alex on what to do next.

Skyler's cheeks burnt when he called her his wife. The only person she pictured saying that was Felix but she guess things don't work out the way people hope. She was hoping to get married and see herself with kids, she was hoping to be called Mrs Skyler Newman but now she was called Skyler Delgado.

She sighed and looked out of the window. Now she was married to the hidden billionaire everyone was looking for. She wondered how life would be for her when people found out she was now related to him.

All eyes were on Skyler as she stepped into the mall with Mason and Alvin. Skyler could guess that they were looking at her wedding dress and she was not wrong judging from the side comments she was hearing.

"Is she just going back from her wedding or something?

"The gown looks beautiful!

"Why is she putting on that to the mall? Is she trying to grab attention or something?

"Is the handsome man beside her, her husband?

"He's cute!

"I bet they will make some good babies!

"Let's go over to this side" Mason pointed to a place where some good-looking gowns were kept and Skyler followed him.

"Pick the one you want" he dipped his hands in his pocket as he stared at the gown.

They were not from his brand and they didn't look as good as the ones his family makes. Maybe when she gets home with him she will get better clothes.

Skyler picked an orange gown that had a golden zipper in front of it. The zipper was used to divide the thigh openings of the gown.

"A gold-colored heels will match with it" he simply said and Skyler nodded.

They went to the shoes section and Skyler picked a pair of gold heels of her size and a small black purse that matched the outfit.

"You should test it and make sure it fits you well so we can pay and leave" he added.

Skyler nodded she went to the dressing room, and she came out a few minutes later. She didn't have the best body but the gown fits her so well.

She stared at Mason who just looked at her from head to toe a few times before nodding his head.

"Looks good, take it off, and also take some makeup along with you so Alvin can pay for it," he said next.

Skyler did as told and Alvin paid before she wore it again for the second time. They also got a bag she used to fix her wedding dress before they went back to the car.

"I want to call my mom, my phone isn't with me and I'm sure she would be worried sick about me" Skyler muttered after a while of staying silent and looking at the road as the car moved at a steady speed.

"You can use my phone" Alvin passed his phone to her.

"Thank you" she muttered and dialed her mom's number.

After some rings, Kiara picked.

"Mom it's me, Skyler," she said and Kiara's voice began ringing out.

"Skyler, my baby where are you? Give me your location I'll come pick you up. I know you're hurt but don't do anything to yourself I beg of you!!" Kiara sounded like she was crying.

"Mom, I'm fine" Skyler muttered.

"Okay then tell me where you are, I'll come pick you up!"

"No Mom I can't but I'm fine, I might return home late or tomorrow morning but I am fine" Skyler tried to assure her.

Mason was just listening without saying anything.

"Skyler!! What is happening?" Kiara asked.

"I'll explain everything to you when I'm back but I'm fine, I need to return this phone to the owner, I'll talk to you later, I love you" Skyler hung up immediately after saying that.

She faced the window to hide the new set of tears that were pouring from her eyes. Mason let out a quiet sigh before passing her a tissue.

"You shouldn't look tortured on the way to my family Mansion, luckily we brought some makeup, you should use them," he said to her.

Skyler nodded and collected the tissue, she wiped her face before opening her purse to take the makeup out.
